Gigi Waterfall Corner

My wife brought me here for my birthday after her friend took her. Now, I’ve been to a lot of restaurants across SA and other nations, eaten many dishes and cuisines; but this was a 1st class experience - I’m not kidding. Firstly, the service is wonderful. Friendly waiters constantly checking in on your experience. We were served by Sharon, who was lovely - she had great knowledge of the menu as well as a sparkling personality. We even got to meet and chat with the GM of the restaurant - which I love. He introduced himself to us, told us about the restaurant, chef, a bit of himself. It was the personal touch that made us want to come back - and we will, cos I didn’t get his name and I want to ask him personally, ‘cos we’re peoples like that now. 😉 Secondly, the food!!!!! I didn’t even finish my meal. It was so good, I left some for home. The pap…the damn PAP! What?! I’ve never had pap so good in my life. I know it may seem like I have basic taste buds, but trust me - you have to try it. Risotto, good; lamb dishes, great; cocktails, buzz-inducing. It’s all in one! Conclusion: this is a social media video-worthy restaurant; I’d do it if I could. The food deserves a shout. Very happy with my experience, and my taste buds are just as happy.

I was visiting from out of town and decided to treat a friend for dinner . Gigi’s is truly a gem of a restaurant. From the welcome to the service and the food !!! I was completely blown away !!! Chef Moses is so talented and humble 🙏 , we had a few dishes and everything was Chef’s kiss!!! I thought the dishes were full of flavour and curated to a very high standard. I immediately booked for the chef’s table dinner held every Wednesday. Zanele was our waitress and she was so friendly and warm . We had a few staff members attending to us, the service was impeccable !!! Chef is going places , run don’t walk to this place 😎 I cannot wait to be back 🙏

The food was absolutely divine and the presentation was fit for a queen. The ambience is laid back chic with hints of contemporary magic. Our waiter was attentive, engaging and such a pleasure. Simply loved it!

Excellent service for the hostess and the waiters. During the week including evening, not so busy, on weekend evenings, highly recommend booking. The food was absolutely delicious. Will certainly be back, great place for date night.

The food is nothing short of sublime — every dish is beautifully plated. The ingredients taste so fresh and thoughtful, and the incredible chef Moses clearly pours passion into every bite leading a great team. What an amazing restaurant with most loveliest experience. The food was fresh, flavourful and hearty. The lamb shoulder with the onion rissotto was my ultimate ! The pornstar martini was the best in the city. Service was also lovely, Zanele was warm and cared about the experience she wanted us to have. Five stars across the board, would highly recommend!

Amazing! An incredible evening worth every minute, from when you walk in to when you leave! We were fortunate enough get a last minute booking (due to a cancellation) for the Wednesday Evening Chef’s Table, and it was an EXPERIENCE!
