Location was nice right on main street. The sandwiches are good but a little bit pricey. Was my first time trying matzo ball soup so I can’t judge but it felt hearty.

I had an omelet, potatoes, bagel and tea and the service was amazing. Everyone was super polite and helpful. Got me whatever I asked for and treated me with great respect. My food could have used some more salt however I like a lot of salt so that could just be me. Over all it was a wonderful little place.

I am from NY and I was excited to find out about a potentially decent deli in Bellevue. However, after looking at the menu online and seeing the outrageous prices for a sandwich, I think I'll pass. $27 for a sandwich??? $15 maybe.. but who is going to pay $27 for a corned beef sandwich? I might as well go to a nice restaurant for that price. Even the best deli's in NY, the part of the US known for its delis does not charge such ridiculous prices for food. At my favorite deli on Long Island, NY, ALL of their sandwiches are $13.99 and a breakfast sandwich is $6. This deli is also much better quality than Gilberts, I promise you that. Husky Deli, a famous West Seattle deli is the same. Great deli with a storied history. The most expensive sandwich on the menu is $13.95. Bottom line - Gilberts is DOUBLE the price of any decent deli. They would make a considerable amount more profit and have a more loyal customer base if they had reasonable prices for their food. Gilberts is a HUGE rip off.

Soooo yummy! Melt in your mouth port wine roast beef. French onion soup! Salami and egg scramble... Yum! The garlic bagel was the best bagel I *ever* ate. Great & fun ambiance. Cute sidewalk seating. Best of all dog friendly!

I had half turkey sandwich with a bowl of tomato florentine soup. The sandwich was super basic but eatable, the soup on the other hand was literally canned tomatoes in a bowl and they added some kale to it to make it look like its not. Nothing else in it! And it tasted just as a can of tomatoes! That's not a soup. My son's sunny side up eggs were cold and some of the potatoes were undercooked. We were both pretty disapointed. Not to mention it was over $65! Not sure for what.

Google
A bit expensive but portion as you can see is huge. I only ate half. The Ruben was excellent Will come again for sure. My wife's scramble was very good as well

Been here with my partner, and also with her family. Have seen both the weekend rush and the weekday slump. This place is superb either way. Excellent breakfast fare with incredible portions of traditional breakfast staples and some more contemporary flavor combinations. I love the omelettes, the bagels are great, their French toast is gargantuan, and their coffee and juice is also on point. Despite the price, it is always delicious.

Google
Food was great. Prices seemed quite high.

Yelp
I had the half Reuben (#9) Seattle style with the French onion soup. Both were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. My wife had the half or 2-egg Florentine omelette with a cinnamon raisin bagel. She loved both and the portion was more than enough. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating. We loved the feel of the restaurant and were glad they had children's books up on the windows. Will definitely come back whenever we are in the area!

Yelp
a bellevue staple! gilbert's is a lovely restaurant located in old belleuve with a lively interior. they serve breakfast and lunch, you order at the counter and seat yourself. we ordered the marion berry pancakes and the supreme omelette. portions are giant! i split the pancakes with a friend and we barely finished the entire meal. the omelette was also delicious and came with a bagel on the side. staff are very friendly and service was quick, we came on a friday at around 9am and were seated immediately. the one con is that while portions are huge, some items can be pretty pricey. the omelette was $27, and while it was definitely delicious, you may be able to find better value elsewhere. the pancakes were much cheaper at $19, and split between two people that comes to around $10 each! overall, i recommend giving gilbert's a try, i will definitely be back for lunch!

Yelp
"The Bad" - Service: Cold - Prices: Not Inexpensive The Good! - Service: If you been to NYC you'll understand what you're getting here. - Prices: You're paying for the location, ingredients, quality and quantity. - Food: Some of the best I've had and most likely some of the best around the area. - Vibe: VERY BUSY and seat yourself. If you're not a fan of the mall or getting to this area is a bit of a pain. Treat yourself to a visit here to ease some of the pain. If you're curious about this place I have no doubt you'll love it!

Emily C.

Yelp
cute lunch place on main street in bellevue. did not have bagels in stock upon arrival so opted for other bread options. it is a bit overpriced.

Martin R.

Yelp
Did a brunch here on a Friday and got the bagel and lox plate with a side of eggs. You order at the counter and they bring it out; service was fine. All food was up to par; we sat outside on the sidewalk, and it's a nice place for people watching too.

Kendall G.

Yelp
My absolute favorite brunch/lunch spot I've ever been to! I was in Bellevue for a wedding weekend and had to visit Gilbert's twice because there were so many things I wanted to try. The exceptional special is an incredible deal and the food/ambiance is top notch.

Trevor T.

Yelp
Can be crowded in the mornings, but this visit was at 2pm on a Saturday, and it was pretty empty. Service is pretty quick and we waited about 10 mins for our food to go. We had the lox bagel on an everything bagel (good but frankly nothing special) and the Moroccan Curried Avocado Chicken club sandwich (also good, but too much filling). The club came with a side of potato salad which we agreed was the best thing we had, and we recommend getting. All the sandwiches appear to cost $28 which is high even for the area and recent inflation and for the quality of ingredients. Maybe the breakfast items are where the 4-5 star ratings are coming from, but I wouldn't come back for their sandwiches at these prices.

Chen S.

Yelp
We went there for a Sunday brunch and loved the vibe and decoration there- it felt like at home. We ordered, then self served with napkin, coffee and utensils. Later the food was brought to us freshly and yummy. Only one downside was the price, which was a little pricy for us lol

Katie C.

Yelp
Food is consistently good here but line to order moves at a glacial pace. Each transaction takes at least five minutes , not sure if they haven't updated their credit card system since 1998 or the main cashier has no apparent incentive to move things along.

Brendon M.

Yelp
Nice brunch spot in downtown Bellevue with giant portions. Coming here reminded of me of some of the food I had when in New York. The place can get busy depending on when you come, but we were fortunate to have found a seat right as me and my friend came around 10:30. I ordered a hash and was surprised as how large the portions were. The dish came with a classic NYC bagel and some cream cheese and jam also. One note about this place is that the prices are on the slightly higher end. Just a heads up :)

Susan H.

Yelp
One egg scramble and a bagel for $19? That is insane! Also, I waited in line behind 8 people for 25 minutes to order. Not a big deal if the food is good. However, I waited at my table for an hour and my scramble never arrived! I had to ask 3 people just for status. All the tables around me had been served. They must have lost my order. I was out of patience and just requested it to go. The picture below is what you get for $19 (missing the bagel though as I ate it). Never again for me!

Beatrice H.

Yelp
We came on a friday morning at about 9a for a breakfast with friends. The place was already bustling with people enjoying their food and drinks at the tables. We ordered at the counter, but had a prior reservation for the table. The menu options arw so plentiful and all sound delicious. We ordered french toast with homemade chicken sausage and a few specialty coffees. The total came out to $50 which for 2 people and a baby did not feel unreasonable. The food itself was delicious. The brioche french toast was light and fluffy and perfectly prepared and the homemade chicken sausage was flavorful and well seasoned and came with homemade applesauce. The portion was also great! We had our fill and plenty left over. The coffee was also good. For brewed coffee there is a nice station with all the additives and free refills and for the cappuccino the espresso was well made and they did the cutest coffee art. The ambiance itself was quaint and had a homey feel. It is very kid friendly as they provided high chairs and childrens books and had self seating as well. The waiters were all nice and very attentive. They answered questions and provided great service. Pricing seemed higher, but the portions are shareable which is something to keep in mind when deciding what to order. Parking was a little tricky. There is some street parking, but be prepared to search and walk since it is old town bellevue. Overall, good food with shareable portions and a very family friendly place for breakfast or lunch. I highly recommend the french toast. But we will be back to try their famous sandwiches!

Grace J.

Yelp
I think Gilbert's is okay. The portions are good but for the price, which hovers around 25, I don't know if I'll be back. Especially because it's not table service, it's order at the counter then find a seat. They do have nice outdoor seating though. I'd say the best dish we tried was the curry egg scramble, super flavorful. The pancakes were good as well. But again, the experience was overall underwhelming - the indoor seating wasn't particularly nice and felt very dusty. It's right in downtown Bellevue so the parking is also pretty tough. Also, I asked for non dairy milk and they gave me whole milk - doesn't usually happen in restaurants in Seattle :/

Brent B.

Yelp
You got to be kidding me! $28 for the small pastrami sandwich? On what planet are you living on? Laughable and a complete rip-off. Pure greed. If you are willing to pay these prices, you're making P T Barnum look downright prophetic. Run, don't walk, away!

Katherine Y.

Yelp
The food at Gilbert is truly top notch. The best bagels in the area and I love their breakfast!!! We have the big pancake(I mean as big as the dinner plate!!) the service is quick and friendly. My favorite brunch place in Bellevue.

Kevin R.

Yelp
Got the #9 Reuben sandwich. The sandwich is massive! Definitely would get this again. This place is pretty pricey though just a heads up.

Lucy C.

Yelp
Came here for brunch and had a pastrami sandwich. The coleslaw is good and the portion size is definitely shareable with someone so a half sandwich would definitely make you full. But the average rating is I just can't seem to get over the ridiculous prices for a sandwich. I mean I get that it's downtown Bellevue and I get that it trying to be like a chic New York deli (can't top Katz, sorry!) but it's a bit outrageous. Can you guys at least offer punch cards, discounts or customer loyalty pts? It's a great brunch place but it leaves a hole in my wallet

Kristie L.

Yelp
I have a history with this place dating back to when it first opened. It was a simple bagel shop that added a nice dinner menu after some time. It has since moved into the brunch category and is known for its brunch and sandwiches as well as its quirky and delightful owner, Gilbert. I haven't been in years and decided that I would go and support this Jewish owned New York style deli. The ambiance was very much what I remember and hasn't changed too much, books have always lines the window sills and the case up front has always houses cold drinks and the bagel baskets are as I remember. It is charming in a very east coast way, as a deli should be. I arrived at 2 in the afternoon and was the only customer at that time. Many tables showed evidence of a busy lunch hour and staff was clearing tables. I ordered a cheese bagel toasted with a light spread of cream cheese and a cup of white bean soup to go. My tan was $21! That seemed like a lot, but I do know they used to make their own bagels in house and they were superior, and the soup said, " a generous" cup for $12. As I waited I noticed that the prices were pretty high. A 1 egg scramble was listed as $18.99!!! That's steep in my book. I continued waiting and waiting and thinking, "why is it taking so long to get a bagel and cup of soup?". Remember I was the only one in there. So I stood at the counter and waited until finally an employee came out from the kitchen and asked if I had been helped. I told her I was waiting for an order. She went back to the kitchen and came out with my order apologizing. It had been put on the rack for pick up- they forgot I ordered it in person. She was very apologetic. I had waited a long time. The bagel was still as I remember, very good. BUT they had added a ton of green onion to my cream cheese! Ugh! A $7 bagel and cream cheese- super simple order- and you mess it up? Too late now, I'm already on my way home. Oh well. I scraped off as many green onion as I could- not chives, green onion- neither of which I ordered. I got home and sat down to my soup. The soup WAS a generous portion and it WAS delicious and still hot! That means it was really really hot when they dishes it up- which is a great thing. Soup that is not hot is not soup. So, I really wanted to give more stars, but unfortunately with the long wait and messed up order, and high prices (just my opinion) I'm giving it a 3-star. I would go back for brunch only because I believe the food is actually very good and sometimes paying a bit more is ok when you can count on it being great.

Emmanuel T.

Yelp
I've been here a couple times and the food is consistently delicious. Bagels are excellent, omelettes are huge, and portions are generally on the large side. Service is fast, you order at the counter and your food is brought to your table. So I can imagine a line forming if you are here at peak times. Ambiance is nice, lots of tables inside and out.

Jennifer P.

Yelp
Standard diner fare with counter service at insultingly high prices. If I hadn't been meeting someone with mobility issues, we would have high-tailed it out of there to find an alternative. $27.99 for example, a scramble with a bagel and potatoes. Self-service drip coffee is $5.99. Just ridiculous prices. Avoid this place unless you enjoy burning money. There is no justification for the prices they are charging.

Sam L.

Yelp
Ok food, but very overpriced. I paid upwards of almost $25 for a bagel when I've gotten the same for significantly less. I don't usually knock a restaurant for their pricing, but I genuinely believe this is outrageous. The restaurant is one where you pay at the counter get a number and then sit wherever there is space available. They'll deliver the food to your number. ..... AVOCADO & PEPPER JACK CHEESE BAGEL: 4/5 the bagel was as expected, but the thing that did surprise me was that it came with literally half of a dill pickle and potato salad

MikeandPat B.

Yelp
All huge portions! Good people! Very fast service w excellent quality Nice outdoor n indoor seating Service w a smile

Saemyi L.

Yelp
Is it because of inflation?? It's pretty expensive for a brunch cafe that's tight in space and it's not a full service restaurant. Most of the items were over $20, even for like bagel sandwiches. Their omelettes were almost $30. Is that normal for Bellevue????? Anyways, my friend and I opted to share the Reuben which ended up being okay since the portion size is huge. I didn't like the ambiance. All the tables and chairs were squished together and there's not a lot of 'personal space'. I will not return because it's not worth it for the price. You order at the counter and they give you a number. They bring the food out to you. And someone will bus the tables. But it's definitely not a full service restaurant. More like a cafe.

Rhonda C.

Yelp
We live in Seattle but had some appointments in Bellevue and in looking for some lunch we came across this place, we are both suckers for sandwiches so it seemed like a natural fit and the reviews were mainly positive. We got takeout and the service was adequate, in that the order was ready on time and correct. Okay, maybe I am to blame and I just do not like this type of deli because I like a grilled sandwich, or toasted bread, or (at the very least) MELTED cheese. Lucky for us, we wanted the same sandwich and we decided to split it instead of ordering two because then we would have paid FIFTY-FIVE DOLLARS and 98 cents for 2 sandwiches we did not like. Instead, we only paid $27.99 (still crazy) for 1 sandwich neither of us liked. We chose #11 London Port Wine Roast Beef...not sure why it has the fancy name because all we tasted was roast beef, no "port wine" to be found...I guess the name is to justify the hefty price? They also have the same sandwich with a "dip" (au jus) but we were eating in the car so we did not risk that. There is a picture of the dip sandwich but not the one without. The description for the dip states "stuffed inside a fresh ciabatta end" with a picture of the sandwich in the ciabatta. Our sandwich did not mention bread at all and (as stated before) there is no picture. Our sandwich came on plain ole bread...not sure the type...whole wheat?? It was not impressive whatever it was, it seemed like grocery store bread. My husband loves bread so he was really disappointed when he tasted it and it was dry and fell apart while eating. There was cheese (unmelted) and the roast beef...in pictures it shows mounds of roast beef but we found it to be doubled over and looked impressive in the front part of sandwich, when I first saw that I thought "this is why it is so expensive" but upon further eating I noticed the back half of the bread was sorely lacking in meat. The menu also states it comes with a side of horseradish-which we did not get, so I take that back, I guess the order was not correct. I got the 24 ounce lemonade for $6 ($5.99) and it was disappointing as well. It was way too tart (not nearly enough sugar, but that is a personal preference). I just hated paying that much for lemonade that I did not enjoy but forced myself to drink anyhow because of the price. And it gave me heartburn from the acidity but they are not to blame there. I did give 2 stars because the potato salad was decent, while certainly not close to the best I have had, it was not near the worst I have had and it was the best part of the meal. Sadly, I cannot say I would ever return or recommend them to anyone. We paid $51.13 for ONE sandwich, an extra side of potato salad (a side also comes with the sandwich) and a 24 oz lemonade, plus tax and tip.

Edward F.

Yelp
I was a little shocked at the price of the items when I first walked in. Things seemed a little on the pricey side. But when I tasted the food quality and saw the portion sizes on their sandwiches, you're actually getting a great deal. Pictured is the Reuben sandwich. it was outstanding and plenty of food for two people. This place has an eclectic vibe with books surrounding the windowsill that are fun to grab and page through. The service was friendly and prompt. I would happily come back here and split a sandwich again with my wife. Enjoy.

Nancyrae S.

Yelp
LOOOVE THIS PLACE!! Found this little nugget last year during an extended stay, and had to revisit during a long weekend trip. I'm in love with the #3 omelette I don't know how they cook their potatoes like that - but i could eat a plate of them! Love the warm toasted bagel and cream cheese / raspberry combo spread. Today's glass of ice tea was the prettiest glass of tea...that didn't contain alcohol. I'll be back!

Molly B.

Yelp
I'm absolutely enamored with Gilbert's sandwiches! Every time I indulge in their mouthwatering creations, my taste buds are treated to a delightful explosion of flavors. The combination of fresh ingredients and carefully crafted recipes makes each sandwich a culinary masterpiece. However, it's worth noting that the only downside I've encountered is the price. Gilbert's sandwiches can be quite expensive(~$30). While we love their sandwiches, we can only afford to get them for special occasions because it is hard to justify their prices.

Utopi D.

Yelp
This place is stuck in the past: from its pricing model, to its POS, and convoluted menu -- It seems like this is exactly where it wants to be. The food is okay: nothing distinctive with overloaded portions and limited condiment options. Servers are not friendly or fresh -- just on autopilot. $145K from Customer's Bank (2021) -- forgiven, which might explain why the servers are still there, but doesn't explain the tip inclusion at the POS since nearly all the loan went to payroll.

Danny C.

Yelp
Overpriced. The food isn't bad, but the prices are a bit over the top for the kind of food they serve. And by the way, everything is self serve including bussing your own table however they still require an 18% minimum tip.

Jackson B.

Yelp
I've been enjoying Gilbert's for about 25 years now. Never had a bad experience whatsoever. Steve Gilbert is the owner and he treats the entire staff and his guests like family. The quality and portions of the food are unparalleled- you'll not find anything like it in Bellevue, or seattle for that matter. It's not an inexpensive breakfast or lunch experience, but you will enjoy every moment of that $20 bagel....

Greg C.

Yelp
Pricey but good food, abundant servings. I think for me it's a 1 and done due to the price for a breakfast plate (nearly every meal is 27.99)

Gwen M.

Yelp
Interesting breakfast spot in Bellevue but it's horribly expensive and portions are ridiculous in size. I ordered apple pancakes that were described to be cooked with pecans but what was delivered were two heavy immense pancakes that had hard,y any apples and walnuts. I hate walnuts. So my crazy huge and crazy expensive pancakes were a total waste. Oh. And the serve-yourself coffee was $5.99.

Bernita J.

Yelp
Gilbert's is the best. Excellent food, location, service and ambiance. Excellence at it's best.

Mike B.

Yelp
Yaaaaaaaas! If Jewish deli is what you're craving - THIS is the spot! Its a cool storefront shop with a couple of tables on the sidewalk. Order at the counter, food is brought to you. There's a full variety of deli favorites on the menu. Had to try a bowl of matzo ball soup. EVERY bit as good as Grandma Sally used to make. Hearty broth with a sheen of schmaltz on the top. A firm baseball-sized matzo ball. Chunks of chicken, carrot, celery, onion. My favorite soup, and this rendition is excellent! And a scrumptious hunk of crusty ciabatta bread, perfect for dipping in the soup once the matzo ball is eaten. Next, a classic corned beef. On rye. With mustard. (Is there any other way??) The meat is lean, hot, tender, moist and perfect. Just the right tang of spices to the beef. This sandwich is HUGE - definitely good for sharing. A delicious kosher pickle spear accompanies, along with a cup of freshly made potato salad. Don't be scared off by the sandwich prices - this is what you pay for an outstanding spread of Jewish deli food. Highly recommended!

Heather L.

Yelp
Food was amazing! Portions are generous! Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. Staff was friendly and helpful at figuring out what to order!

Lucy C.

Yelp
Went here for brunch on a beautiful weekend morning and the outdoor seating was just perfect for the weather :) And the sunlight meant I could get great photos of my food! The food seemed a pricey but even the cheaper options we ordered came with a big portion size, so I can only imagine how big the more expensive entrees are. And they were delicious! One small complaint about service is that we were not received by any staff upon entering, even though multiple staff walked past us. We stood there confused for a bit, as it was our first time here, before just grabbing our own menu and finding a seat ourselves. You also order at the counter and get your own water. I think this service experience was a bit confusing and the staff could at least greet us and point us somewhere without us having to figure everything out on our own. The food: - Breakfast Bagel #1 on cheese jalapeño bagel: We were so surprised by how big this was when it came out! Probably because of all the egg increasing the diameter of the bagel. The bagel was nicely toasted, contrasting the texture of the egg and pastrami. Tastes great by itself or with some hot sauce! - Petite Brioche French Toast & Egg: Although it says petite, it's a huge portion! I guess because brioche is not a very dense bread, they gave 3 slices. Also I asked for my eggs scrambled and the amount they gave me was definitely more than 1 egg more like 2-3. The toast was sooo soft and fluffy and not too strongly flavored, just how I like it. That means I could add all the toppings I wanted, like the creamy butter, syrup, or delicious jam they gave. Overall, I loved the food and outdoor seating, but still think it's too pricey for brunch so I'm not sure if I'd want to try the other items on the menu. I guess that's the price of things in Bellevue.

Nancy M.

Yelp
The restaurant itself is clean and comfortable and the food is good but the prices are outrageous for what you get! Three bagels with cream cheese, three sodas and a sand which was $80. Ridiculous! The service wasn't overly friendly and the line to order moved very slowly because there was just one, apparently tired woman working the counter.

Katrine F.

Yelp
Unpleasant. Spent $30 on one Pastrami sandwich that was so stringy it's like trying to eat a handful of rubber bands. Really disappointed, was excited to try. Would have been ok with the price if it was good.

Wendy K.

Yelp
Went to the Bellevue Art Museum with Dad, my sister and brother in law yesterday. My sister and BIL suggested Gilbert's. Dad and I had a big breakfast so we ordered but saved ours to take home and eat for dinner definitely would like to return and eat it fresh there in person. Parking isn't the easiest but that's no fault of the restaurant. Staff is friendly and quick to clear tables once people leave and don't mind people moving like we did. We were initially split into two smaller tables. Quality meats and sandwiches packed with it. Loved the potato salad that came as a side great flavor and lots of goodies. Fresh ingredients. I don't often. like other peoples potato salad cause they don't measure up to mom's but this is one I would return for. Want to try their soups sometime as well. Definitely need yo get to the east side more so I have an excuse to visit.

Michael X.

Yelp
Gilbert's on Main is one of the many restaurants on Old Bellevue that looked pretty enticing when I was exploring the area - so I thought why not give it a try! I ordered ahead on a Friday around 12pm and went to pick up my order within 15 minutes. I got the No.9 Reuben Sandwich - which is a massive sandwich that comes with a potato salad and pickle on the side. Just look at the picture - it literally is a hunk of meat that is about the size of a small fist in the middle! The meats within the sandwich were corned beef and pastrami - both classic Reuben sandwich ingredients that were tender and had good heavy flavor, and the lettuce with swiss cheese and Russian dressing were delicious and gave you a bit of acidity and change of texture from chewy to crunchy which was most needed. The potato salad was nice, potatoes were soft and the salad had a nice texture was seasoned well. In the end, spent about $26 for the Reuben Sandwich. In my opinion, it is on the expensive side of things considering it is the price for a single sandwich - but you do get a pretty good amount of meat and the sandwich did last me like 2 meals! If you are looking to spend a bit more for decent sandwiches, give Gilbert's a try!

Jason F.

Yelp
We were recommended to this place by our hotel and wow we are so glad we came. I took a chance and ordered the "New York" size hot pastrami sandwich, which is 20oz of deliciousness. We had great service and the food came out quickly. Next time we drive to Bellevue we will definitely be back!

Amy D.

Yelp
Nothing special and disappointing. I've passed by this restaurant many times and always wanted to try it. I finally got the chance to and even though the reviews were high and establishment was busy, I wouldn't come back. I got half a Rueben and a side of Matzo Ball soup and my husband got the Turkey caper bagel. The Rueben, though impressive in size was very fatty and tough to eat, the sandwich is so big and wet from the dressing your bread falls apart by the time to get to eating it. Matzo ball soup was very bland and was nothing special. The Turkey caper bagel was very strong in flavor with the kick of mustard but addition of red onion chopped into the mustard. The combination of the Swiss cheese just doesn't sit well. To spend $50 for the meal to not even finish half isn't worth it! On top of the steep/over priced items, you get no service from the employees. You seat yourself, grab your own utensils, and napkins. The staff doesn't seem friendly and are barely seen, they must be somewhere in the back because they are not in the front. Even when the order line is long there is no rush for service. The restaurant seems rundown and out of date, I wouldn't recommend using the restroom either, it is down a creepy hall way attached to what I'm assuming is another business but, unclean and unkept. Too bad it couldn't have been a better experience, had higher expectations!

Emelina W.

Yelp
I love their sesame bagel while it's warm and hot. Their selfpouring coffee is good as well. The supreme omelette is great! But they do have a very large size of food, I recommend 1 dish for 2 people. The sandwich is huge. Also, I think they are a little bit expensive. Because even order one mini omelette plus one bagel, 2 self-pour coffee cost more than 40 dollars. Not a everyday breakfast choice.

Yelp
I got the Reuben #9 Seattle 10 oz style with my dear friend and shared with her and wow, It was amazing . The portion was huge and we couldn't even finish our half a sandwich the staffs were super helpful and nice and the vibe of the restaurant was exactly how I wanted for the brunch date with my friend :) highly recommend!

Yelp
Delicious deli sandwiches and huge serving with a price to match. Service wonderful. Ambiance slightly less than desired but it didn't matter when the food was so good.

Yelp
Looking for a little bit of New York deli while in eastside Seattle area? Gilbert's has you covered. HUGE portions of everything. Even in the small sandwiches. I'm partial to pastrami and it's a good pick. The 'new york' style is my pick here but I go all pastrami instead of mix with corned beef. Matzoh ball soup is a good one on these winter days as well. Not a ton of seating and parking absolutely sucks in this area so plan ahead.

Yelp
Excellent bistro with yummy casual French fare and sandwiches. I enjoyed having lunch here; the location overlooked the main thoroughfare of Old Bellevue, and provided a nice spot to people watch while dining in. The French onion soup and strawberry-date salad combo was delicious and I enjoyed their hot cappuccino (which was served in a pint glass). I'll definitely stop in again if I'm in the area - they do brunch foods too.

Yelp
While it is very expensive, the portions are HUGE and could be split between 2, maybe even 3 people. The Rueben is genuinely the best one I've ever had! You get what you pay for

Yelp
No frills brunch place. The portions are huge. They'll give you a number tag and you will need to find a place to sit. My friend and I got the Florentine to share and she couldn't finish her half. I'm not usually a bagel or jam person but l'd buy the jam if they sold it in jars. They have outdoor seating which makes it a great place for weekend brunch.
