Great place for the location and the price. The staff are very friendly and welcome you are part of the family. Oh and there is free coffee, tea, filtered water and pancakes all day. There are activities everyday here as well as a social pancake making/guitar playing area so it's great for solo travellers and groups alike. If you are not a fan of mosquito nets ask for a room with a/c. This place is a short walk from the lovely bar scene, rent a bike to cycle to sunset beach.

Super cool, social hostel with good atmosphere! Definitely the right place for solo travellers - the staff is super open minded and want to talk/get to know you! Rooms are basic and clean, I chose the room without A/C, just with fans, which was perfect.

The hostel is unique! But in a good way ;)! The stuff is really friendly and makes u feel like home! I won a lot of brothers and sisters :)! The beds are clean (only three people in one room), the bathroom has enough capacity and the staff will help u with all your questions, needs, bookings and advices. Breakfast (pancakes and fruits) starts at 7am and ends at 4pm...haha! Wifi is really good, but not in all the rooms u can connect to it. They have a little bar at the reception and some group activities. It's close to the beaches and the party places, but far enough to have a good sleep. U will just here the mosque, cause it's around the corner. Don't expect a luxury hostel, but u will feel comfortable! I stayed there for almost two weeks! Would always come back!

I stayed here for almost 2 weeks because the atmosphere made it difficult to leave. The guys working here were so friendly (without being intrusive) and made me, a solo female traveller feel welcome and safe. There were social events on every evening and so I met people easily and overall had a great time.

The friendliest staff I’ve ever had in the entire world. From the minute you walk in they say “welcome home” and treat you like family. One of the staff came surfing with us and showed us around (for free) and ended up becoming a good friend of ours (shout out to Anton- sorry if I spelled your name wrong). The rooms are solid and air conditioned. They also make you pancakes 24/7 and have a trip around 6pm every day with the whole hostel and their sister one La Boheme. We went to a bonfire one night and saw the sunset another. Overall an amazing place if you want a phenomenal hostel experience. I would rather stay there than the Hilton or Marriott.

Our experience at this place was a bit uncomfortable. The roof in the room we stayed in was leaking, so we woke up at 5:30 in the morning because our beds were getting soaked. That and all our stuff was wet too. We moved rooms, but the other room was just swarmed by mosquitos. The beds in the rooms we stayed in contained bed bugs. There was brown hairy mold in the bathroom. 2 stars for the staff, they were super friendly and did their best to help us. Banana pancakes every day was pretty nice as well.

This hostel was full so we were put in the other hostel round the corner. Lovely staff, nice to have pancakes available all the time, air con works well. Social areas are fine but basic. Quieter hostel as fewer beds

When I saw the reviews, I was pretty excited about visiting this place. The staff is great, nothing to say against them but the hostel structure need some work. If you want to use toilet paper, you have to pay for it at the reception. Toilet paper should be basic necessity. The rooms are basic, the only good point are the big lockers. The showers are really dirty and so are the bathrooms. Better hostels/homestay at better prices in Gili Trawangan.
