Gilly's Sports Bar

Only second time visiting this place. Bartenders are attentive and friendly. Drinks are reasonably priced (meaning on avg w/ nost places). Food: Ordered wings and fries. Wings rated 5 out of 10. Fries were all burned so can’t say how they tasted as I trashed them. Kitchen not scheduled to close for another 3-4 hours so my timing can’t be blamed. Summary….great service from bartenders makes it a decent drinking/pool table bar. (Skip food) I’ll try food during daylight hours to see if it’s better then.

4/24/2025 8:30p Walked in & sat at the bar, choosing a new place recommended to me over my neighborhood spot. Sat for 10m no acknowledgment. 5m later a guy sat at the bar in the corner away from the door. 2m later he received a menu. 7m after that 3ppl walked in & sat at the bar against the wall. As bartender was at the computer she began speaking with 1 of the guys & took their order, saw her talking to the other guy & girl he came with taking their order. She brings a menu & water to someone at a table & walked back to the bar. About 7-10m later a guy sits to my left at the bar, bartender immediately starts talking to him, asks him if he wants his usual & starts making more drinks, serves the 3ppl in front of me. She speaks to a woman 3 seats to my right, making conversation and I left. 30m no service, no acknowledgment, nothing. Currently sitting at my usual spot 2 drinks in with food on the way as I type this @ 9:20p. May come back during the day, hopefully they’re not as “busy” but not a good 1st impression given l waiting 30m…😢

Went to Gilly's last night (Saturday) with my boyfriend. We're new to the area and wanted to check it out. We had an amazing time!! The music was on point! Food was phenomenal! Customer service was perfect! The crowd was welcoming and fun! Shout out to the DJ, our waitress (Destiny), the chef, and Willy! We'll be back with friends and family! 💯

Bartenders Jamie & Destiny were wonderful, very attentive and friendly. It was my first time there, I wandered in just because I was passing by and thought I'd catch the end of a Raven's football game but ended up staying almost until close. I didn't order food so I can't speak to that. But for drinks with friends..... Very Highly recommended!

Myla and Kyla were so amazing! The food was SO delicious, I'll be coming back for sure! 🤤😋. Thank you, need more people like this in the world 100%.

I've been coming to this bar for over 4 years. The new management is awesome. The poker is always hysterical and fun. The crowd is always welcoming as well as the staff. The food is really good and fair priced. The drinks are always good and they definitely help elevate my poker skills. It's a very nice poker training ground to learn patience and how to get sucked out with class. If you can survive here, you can make it anywhere. Keep it up!

I enjoyed my food and drinks! Even better because it’s an after hours spot with a good mixed crowd. There’s a DJ karaoke, and billiards table.

Don't believe the food prices you see on the website menu. It's an unnecessary upcharge, no substitution. And they suggest anything to help the customer to save money... this seemed like another money thirsty, get rich mom and pop type of establishment.

A chill spot for a chill vibe. Good music, good vibe. The food and drinks are forgettable but appropriate for the type of establishment. We ordered onion rings and a few other sides the service was good and again the food was meh. Would definitely go again.

The food is great! Tip chef Cortez. The drinks are good and the atmosphere is even better. I love the karaoke. Safe parking. It's a pretty cool spot for a date or to chill with friends.

Chill local cheers bar. Definitely an 'everybody knows your name' vibe but all are welcome. The drinks are super affordable, they have TVs for sports and pool. The best part is the music. The music is consistently good. They also have various events throughout the week. Open mics, karaoke, etc. Recommended for a random night out or to watch a game with your crew.

Wings could be better , Service is lacking every time I went the order is always wrong. I do enjoy the Atlanta Raiders Booster Club. If it wasn't for that probably never come back. Just a honest review

This is a cool bar seems to have some branding issues , we know it as "gully's" the menu says "the spot" and the sign says something else. Things have changed aesthetically since last I was there. There were some updates and the menus changed. Got real busy in a Saturday night it was karaoke. Food is pretty good here . I think the menu is too new for the employees I ordered the slider trio.. three different sliders but I got all one type. No big deal what I had was good so no complaints. It's give that dive bar feel it's a good time. Service isn't the fastest so if you want things right away you might have problems. But everyone was nice.

In town for business, worst experience ever in here! If your not a friend or a regular you will not get served! I left after 35 min of waiting. All the workers were complaining about bad tips. If they knew how to do their job I'm sure they would make more money. I don't suggest anyone goes here.

It's a hole in the wall hood spot. Food is just okay. If that's your flow, you'll be fine. Drinks are strong and long poured. Bartenders are nice. Especially Daja. Karaoke was cool. Nothing to write home about.

I went on what I learned was Karaoke night and it was amazing. You can tell this is a neighborhood gem. Everyone knew everyone. The ambiance is very inviting and very cultured. The staff all had smiles on their face and were participating in the festivities. The food was stellar. You know I'm a sucker for a good Tater Tot so when I seen those you know what was my first pic. Then I added cheese as well. Yasssssssssssss! It was a mouth pleasing experience. LoL! I live on the opposite side of town, but I will drive to get a Gilly's experience again.

Best dive bar in the area, now it's even better that it's been remodeled and now called Stadium Club. New decor as well as a Friday night DJ.

Wow. Worst dining experience ever. We had our youth hockey team in town. Booked in advanced for a team dinner. Walking in we were questioned about our political preference from some of the regulars. Really uncomfortable situation as they were either high or drunk or both. Average food took almost 2 hours to come out in 20 minute increments some of which was bad - like not safe for consumption. Finally cut our losses and wrangled the waitress for the payment fiasco. Left through a cloud of weed smoke from the regulars again. Apparently this dump was featured on Bar Rescue go figure. Oh there was also some random crazy lady that would not leave us alone....

It's awesome but girl with gap needs a rude awakening she is super lazy other than that excellent hospitality and food was delicious

This hidden gem has become one of my favorite go to spots for lunch and dinner. The mozzarella sticks are my favorite appetizer, The bleu burger is my favorite burger and the Korean Spicy Wings are glorious! Drop in, have a drink and some food. You won't be a disappointed! Dayzia was an amazing server on my last trip. If you're unsure about something, ask!

The 3.1 stars is probably generous. My first time will be my last time. Ordered UBER eats to pick up. Said 10 minutes. Gave them 20. Went to pick up order and helpless bar keep said they were cooking them and they would be out shortly. After 20 minutes, I asked where they were and she said "actually, we don't have any." Really, what happened to mine that were cooking. Asked her to cancel the UBER order and she said I would have to call UBER Eats. Does anyone know anyone that has ever completed a call to UBER? I couldn't cancel as UBER Eats was going to charge me since it was showing the order ready. Took 20 more minutes for a Manager to come out and SAY he cancelled it. Apologetic? No. Offer any accommodation for waiting 40 minutes for a phantom order? No. And think he actually cancelled the order? NO. Got home and it had not been. Had to call AMX to dispute the charge. You would think that a restaurant with a sanitation score of 91, 3.1 stars on YELP and that looks like it hasn't been cleaned or updated in 20 years, and smells like cigarette smoke would go out of its way to keep the few customers that may come in the door. Maybe with the 91 sanitation grade, they actually did me a favor. I won't go back and cannot imagine with the number of decent restaurants in the Dunwoody area, anyone that goes there once would return. What a dump.

I heard this place had new owners so wanted to go check it out again. I used to live next to here and would go in sometimes. I thought it used to be ok but always seemed dirty. On my revisit here it seemed a lot better than it used to be. I think they really cleaned it up and it's a cool hangout spot. I sat at the bar and the bartender I had was really awesome. Super friendly and pleasant to talk to. She made a good drink and the prices on everything were reasonable. They were having a poker night here and after I finished, I went and started playing. It was just a fun place to hang out for a night. The only thing I didn't enjoy so much was the food. It was just so basic. I don't have an extremely high standard for bar food, but this one still fell below it. I don't know exactly where they get their food or what ingredients they use but it doesn't seem good quality. The burger was a frozen burger with a simple bun and they forgot my cheese. Fries were the frozen crinkle fries. That was the meal. Nothing else to it. The prices weren't high but it still wasn't worth the money to me. If I do decide to come back it would just be for the poker and a drink. I don't think I'd eat here again unless I saw someone else's food while here that looked like a significant improvement.

Excellent filet mignon dinner special on Thursdays! Have gone twice and consistently fabulous... wine, salad with delicious dressing, loaded baked potato, perfectly cooked steak filet AND Dessert for $19.99!! Now I know where I am going every Thursday! Also the wait staff are wonderful. No other place I have been to compares in value and taste. Go and treat yourself... I am!

Fun atmosphere, good drinks, great food and wonderful courteous staff. A must stop when I am in the area.

This bar was not to my satisfaction, I simply asked for some ranch to replace the bbq sauce on the chicken sandwich! He was rude and acted like he was better then the customers. The food is alright but I would never come back and I'm from another state.

Gilly's has potential to be so much more, but it's nothing to shake your head at now either. Their prices are lower than area average, with good pours and themed game nights. Their food leaves much to be desired. If you don't eat meat, you'll end up eating a salad or mozzarella sticks, something fried. They do have a variety of protein, like wings, salmon, steak, etc. I've tried all of their veggie options, it's all average. I'm expecting frozen food, yes, but it still left my taste buds sad. My carnivore counterparts mimicked my sentiments, they were not fans of the wings or steak, but did not try the seafood. They have pool in the back, as well as multiple games places sporadically throughout the bar. Poker is played once or twice a week I believe. They do have a DJ on the weekends, I'm not sure about the rest of the week. As far as the "sports" in Sports Bar is concerned, they do have several TV's around the bar for you to watch a variety of games.

We came in on a Saturday for lunch and the place was dead apart from a few others at the bar. So, we sat at the bar and an older gentleman with a limp took care of us. I can't remember his name, but he was polite and not overly-friendly (which is my preference for bartenders, honestly). He checked on us just the right amount and our glasses were never empty. Love that. The food was good. I liked their wings a lot. Only a handful of beers on draft and only one bottled cider. Would have loved to see a better booze selection, especially with "pub" in the name. Not as many TVs as I would have expected either. There is a shelf of books along the back of the bar that I kept looking at, but no one explained to me (I have now learned by reading past reviews that it's a take-one-leave-one situation. That's cute.) Honestly, what turned me off the most from this place were the patrons. Maybe it was just the time of day or an off day in general, but there were a few other people at the bar with us and they were so weird and obnoxious...it sadly made our time pretty awkward and uncomfortable. Maybe we will try coming for dinner when it's (hopefully) busier, but the bar patrons really soured my desire to come back.

Love this place, great staff, customer service is amazing. Karaoke is great on Saturday nights. Very chill environment.

Food was super delayed, wings were tiny (and luke warm). Two buddies ordered menu items that they ended up being out of. Wife said drinks were trash. Appetizer's came out with meal, if at all, also cold. The last thing to come out was, bizarrely enough, the chips and salsa. Waitress looked lost, if you could catch sight of her at all. Save your time and money and go literally anywhere else. There are too many good little pubs and bars close by to waste time going here.

The food was great, and so were the drinks! Also, the atmosphere was very welcoming. Definitely recommend to anyone!

Waited at the bar for awhile, 2 people in the kitchen talking. They walked out, went past the bar still talking. We left...shame looked like a decent place. No interest customers.

Delicious! I got the sweet chilli boneless wings and fries, my boyfriend got the grilled chicken wrap, and we shared some fried mushrooms and home made chips. We can no where near to finishing it all, lots of left overs (that we are very excited about!!!). Everything was seriously amazing especially for such a great price. Things are really crazy right now and I'm just so thankful for the people who make it possible to enjoy delicious food like this during it all. It really is such a great. You guys are awesome!

Blah That's it. Well lit. Probably too much light in my honest opinion for a sports bar after 10 p.m., but that didn't seem to bother their regular patrons. Menu was not vegetarian friendly... no big deal not many are. My friend ordered salmon and rice. It didn't look appetizing and he didn't enjoy it , but again this is a sports bar. We just had Ketel one with pineapple juice so I'm sure even a rookie bartender couldn't have messed that up. Probably won't visit, again. LOCAL SPORTS BAR This is the local Cheers of Dunwoody. Everyone knows each other here. TVS are all over the front part of the bar and there are pool tables in the back. There is also a hot dog buffet bar with all beef dogs and you add your own condiments. WINGS We got the lemon pepper, BBQ, and buffalo. All were really good but I like the lemon pepper best. It's really salty though so get a glass of water and beer to wash it all down. Comes with celery and carrots with your choice of ranch or blue cheese dip. GRILLED CHEESE Was not that great. I like rye bread normally, but on this grilled cheese, it was dry and the cheese was not that gooey. I would get something else next time.

Horrible service, rundown joint and a bartender that will take your cash and not bring your change. I do NOT recommend this place.

I can't even say the service was bad, it's just non existant. I had to hunt down a manager just to pay the tab. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.

Went in with the family last night. Our server was extremely rude. We just got a round of drinks and then left. We would have stayed if it wasn't for the service.

I really like coming to Gillys Bc it's black owned but I came in three times recently and the food is HORRIBLE idk if they are not changing the oil frequently enough or if they are letting fried food sit over the fryer after they take it out the oil but anything friend their taser just like nasty oil. On top of that... the fish is ALWAYS dried and over cooked. Idk what happened for a second the food was really good but it seems like maybe there is a new staff. PLEASE do something about the food on the menu, just Bc I'm drinking alcohol doesn't mean I can't taste that I'm eating nasty food ‍

Place was your everyday dive bar, pretty smoky if you're cool with that kind of thing if you cant handle the smoke id recommend staying away. The food was ok for bar food and the wings were decent. The service was good so they barely get a 3. I really wanted to get the steak here but they were out of it. The steaks are half price on thursdays i believe so if I was to come back, it would be on that day.

This is my first time here and let me tell you I was impressed. Great staff (Willie the manager) gave great recommendations on drinks and the steak. Thursday is when I stopped for football and had a New York strip for $15 (cheap) and it was really good! I will be back for sure!

Passed this establishment several times n finally gave it a try. And because I'm home on bed rest, take out seemed to be a great idea on a Saturday evening. Ordered the ribs and the sampler. So, is it me or people really don't know how to do ribs. They all taste like boiled pork wit bbq sauce! And they were fattier than they should hv been for that price . And on top of that looked like half a rack! The baked potato was half baked. The shrimp in the sampler were near burned. And the potato skins were without... potato ! Maybe it's the take out thing. Or maybe GILLYS is waaay overrated!

Ordered jalapeno poppers which never came. It took over 45 minutes for our cold food to show up. Drinks were stiff, I'll give them that

Great wings, decent drink specials, and mediocre service. Place has a ton of potential but seem to be more focused on regulars and the new regulars they get from having a daily poker night.

Awful service and Awful food. Cold chili. Hair in bbq chicken. Forgot orders. Had to get up and walk to bar to get missing order and had to get up and go to bar to get/pay for food. Absolutely terrible and disappointing. By the way, wasn't even crowded. We were the only table sitting with about 8-10 folks at the bar. Don't go here

The food was gross! I had Buffalo wings which were supposed to be crispy, they weren't at all. No flavor. I mean ZERO! My friend had a Philly which was dry with very minimal cheese and the green peppers and onions were still very raw. Who wants to crunch into vegetables when eating a Philly? The bartender/waitress/food runner/hookah maker wasn't attentive but how could she be doing all those jobs! She asked how the food was AFTER I paid once she looked at our plates to see both of our meals sitting there, picked over trying to make the best of it. My friend and I both expressed our dislike for the food and she said sorry about that. No suggestion of discounting the bill or remaking it, nothing. Just sign here and bye. It's definitely not the old Gillys that I remember and I won't ever go back. There are way better places you can go so I wouldn't bother.

Awful. Went there for trivia and the service was horrible. Got there at 7 and had ordered by 7:05. I ordered chips and salsa as an appetizer and it came out at around 7:45 with everyone else's entrees. This was a Tuesday night so they really weren't that busy so the 40 minute delay on the appetizer is a little bizarre. I'm not sure what their preparation procedure is for chips other than dumping them in a basket but apparently it's thorough. Everyone else's food was mediocre, cold wings, cheese in the jalapeño poppers still cold etc. The server was nice but inattentive and inexperienced, I think the fault really falls on the kitchen/manager. Go literally anywhere else if you're looking for anything other than cheap beer. I had really low expectations, knowing I was going to be eating mediocre bar food but the really failed to live up to a minimal level of service.

Went there to shoot a little pool.They have 2 tables but 1 was occupied. The other is so close to the poker table that there's no way you can play. We decided to wait for the other table to clear and sat at the bar....ordered 2 top shelf Long Islands. They were the worst Long Islands I've ever had...can't say I'd come back as the drinks are trash

This place... I'm only commenting from the best constructive place possible. .. BP get it together. .. I'll be here all day writing and they wouldn't appreciate it. .. so please please get it together, food, drinks, service... get it all together. Oh.. great location!

A dive bar in Dunwoody Ga, laided back I had a fun time with karaoke that lasted till 2am fun fun. I did get a chance to try the food. Overall its cool no smoking. The drinks are on the expensive side so order with caution.

Gillys is probably one of the best places for wings I've gone to. This is the Georgia spot for me. Will the owner is outstanding and a good straight up guy. This was the local owned spot i was looking for in Georgia. It's not a chain. It's not a multiple business. It's wills. And he does it right. I will be bringing more friends here.

Great food and cheap drinks but the server/bartender was on the phone the ENTIRE time we were there

First visit for wings Had combo lemon pepper and buffalo. Love them. Will be back again to try other specials. Sarah my waitress was great. Attentive but not pesty. My water glass was never empty. Don't know why I haven't tried this neighborhood bat

Love this place. Very chill. Good vibes. There's something to do everyday of the week; bingo, poker, karaoke. Fun place great staff. I will admit if it's really busy everything will be slow including the food and the staff. But I like it. It reminds me of s mom and pop place.

I don't know why no one has mentioned the "Thursday night steak special" so let me be the 1st. You have a choice of NY strip or Filet Mignon with a salad & baked potato for $15 bucks!!! It's unheard of!!! The chef that cooks these steaks is AMAZING!!! I feel like I'm in an upscale steakhouse!!!! You gotta try....you can thank me later!! Hey Willy!!!!!!!
