Great pizza and food, but their late night staff makes orders based on how well they know you. Charleston local, but apparently whatever people they know/ have an interest in get their orders almost immediately. It’s a full on frat party in there and as someone just trying to get some late night food it’s horrible. Do not recommend at all.

Small little restaurant to get some well-made and delicious pizza. They have a good selection of pizza sizes and toppings with some great prices to then as well. Each pizza is freshly made per order and is of good quality. The dining area is pretty clean, and the walls are decorated with stickers, writings, and art. It makes for a neat atmosphere, but seating is limited. They do also have a deal for Citadel Cadets (get a large pizza for the price of a small one), and that makes the pizza all the more budget-friendly. Overall a great place to pick up good pizza that's not from a chain.

I was hangry and I did wonder what hole in the wall college frat pizza place had we just walked into. It was quiet (Sun lunch), the seating and tables are a little scary looking, but the pizzas came out fresh and delicious. The dude we ordered from gave us tips on what to order. The drinks machine was cool too. Overall not bad for pizza. I imagine this place is bomb after a few late night drinks too!

Best pizza place in Charleston! After trying several trendy and upscale restaurants in the area, this was hands down the best food we had. Highly recommend!

Listen, i went karaoke right next door and when i got out at like 1:30 am this place was open and the pizza i ordered on the spot took about 10 Min. It was so so good. Flavorful and didn’t break the bank. They stayed open until 4. The next day it was like 2 am and i was hungry from having fun on a girls trip and called in an order and picked it up right away. Again it was cost effective and yummy. If your are in Charleston it’s a must. The whole entire crew liked it.

Most amazing pizza joint I've been too in a long long long time the service was amazing the food was even better and the drinks are awesome 100% would recommend for others and definitely would come back again

Unfriendly owner/host pizza just okay and we had 8 people and spent $100 and were denied extra ranch dressing unless we paid for it. The ranch he gave us was small. We wanted to wash our hands and they wouldn’t allow us. If we didn’t have so many people walking around downtown we definitely would have left but since nobody was here we thought we’d eat. Terrible. We got the biggest package of wings too.. ridiculous

Got the chicken wings and since they were so good also got th Deluxe Pizza. Both were great! 💯

Lotta bad reviews here. I'm pretty picky, had an expensive Raw bar dinner at Ordinary earlier. Was still hungry and this pizza was solid. Ordered on Uber for pickup, walked over and it was ready on time. Pepperoni/ green pepper, good flavor. Nothing wrong with it. Solid late nite option.

Used to love Gilroy's but the quality has gone way down! WAY overpriced. We got 2 of the pizzas you see below and it was $60... for 2 large pepperoni pizzas... and there was a lot of crust space! Service is a little slow. Inside is small and a little dirty at times, but great for a late night spot. Bummed because the pizza used to be great!

This pizza place is located next to a late night bar. I really appreciate how it was open late (all the food shutdown around like eleven which was super annoying). The pizza came out pretty quick. I got a speciality pizza which consisted of onions, peppers, pineapples, and pepperoni. It wasn't the worse pizza I have ever had nor was it the best. I really liked the decor of license plates around the restaurant.

truly have never had an issue with gilroys before, it's the best place for food after a night out and a fun spot. but tonight i was craving my favorite from there, the fried pickles, and i got this food hazard. more so upset ive gotta cook them myself to finish the order, but just wanted to cooks to know. shuffle that bitch around in the fryer some more next time please

Here ye here ye if you are looking for top tier pizza look else where. If you and the boys have had 12 beers each and need some grub at 2AM, you've found the right place. Don't set your bar too high and take this place for what it is. A good ole late night pizza joint . HERE YE HERE YE!!!!!!!!

I walked in and saw a gigantic bug on a woman's shoulder right where she was eating. The seats were old and duct taped up. But on the other hand the employees were very nice and the food was amazing. Easy 7.12/10 for the food.

The fact this place is rated so low is a crime. Gilroy's was the MVP of our recent weekday trip to Charleston. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, when the bars and other restaurants shut down.. who's as there? It was Gilroy's! The staff is fun and interactive and you will meet a wide range of individuals in the restaurant all looking, by the end of the meal.. you will be family. The hot honey wings rival the best wings the south has to offer and the pizzas were equally delicious.

Best place for late night bites....Cheese and bacon fries are our favorite! Disclaimer: This is not the fancy downtown food that is so popular but it's still pretty awesome!

Christian is the absolute most tenacious and incredibly amazing employee that I have met thus far. He brings an aura of pure determination to the job and is excited to be working at this business with a prominent show of charisma for this work. Highly recommend as a late night destination.

Food was great Ordered a Hawaiian with jalapeños and it was delicious! Love that they stay open later than anywhere else out here ! Lol & service was quick too :)

Great Pizza. Phenomenal Service. Affordable pricing. Gilroy's is a great decision for a quick and savory pizza. The establishment is amazing and has a nice vintage vibe to it. Gilroy's was a great end to my night, plus they're open till 2am!!!

I'm shocked by all the bad reviews! We had an early mediocre dinner at a nearby Italian spot. After dinner we hit up a few spots, and probably around 11:30pm while we were waiting for our uber ride home, I told my boyfriend I was craving pizza. I suggested he place the order once we were in the uber, so it delivers shortly after we're back home. In hindsight I was probably craving pizza because people kept walking by with pizza boxes, most actively eating pizza. Anyways, we get to West Ashley, and the pizza delivers about 45 minutes later. It was a six slice pepperoni pizza and we devoured it! We both really enjoyed the pizza, and thought it was tasty enough that we went back to his Uber Eats order to see where it came from. It was good eating!!

It was disappointing. I've ordered pizza from here is the past and it was good. The pizza that I got last nice was very dry. It looked old and there was very little cheese.

Really great pizza! Quick service, originally they forgot to add the green peppers we asked to have put on our Hawaiian pizza but they fixed it quickly for us! Nice guys and cool atmosphere. Nice and laid back. Had a pinball machine inside and a karaoke place upstairs.

This place has literally the worst customer service I have ever seen. One of the pizza guys was encouraging a fight to break out in the restaurant. Nothing was done to deescalate the issue. Being an actual bouncer I saw this as the fault of the staff. Everyone working would have been fired if I ran this place. The food is mediocre at best. Charleston deserves better late night food. I will be calling to lodge a complaint in the morning. Do better.

Glory's is supposed to be open until 4am, it's is 2:57am and they stopped serving customers. The man in the picture attached was beyond rude and disrespectful. I deserve free pizza4LyFe.

This place was AWFUL and I was eating it drunk I can't imagine what it tastes like sober. I thought because they made the pies fresh it'd taste goey and cheesy but instead it just tastes greasy and bland. Barely any sauce and toppings. The pizza was also severely undercooked.

Great late-night pizza. I'm trying to understand why we didn't encounter the madness mentioned in some of the negative reviews. Maybe we arrived too early? Unsure. Buffalo chicken pizza got the job done but unsurprisingly there were a few ingredients that just don't belong on buffalo chicken pizza.

I ordered through Uber Eats at 2:30 am. My order was pending until 4:05 am, when they ultimately canceled my order. Avoid ordering from them late at night, or all together. Your call.

THIS PIZZA IS GOOD!! Cheap, quick and good flavor. They even did half za/half cheesesticks. Great for takeout, if you are planning on eating there just know they only have soft drinks.

We came here on a whim and it was the definition of mediocre. It wasn't bad pizza, but it wasn't good pizza. The atmosphere was cool and it's a cool joint. The pizza was a little greasy, the dough had low integrity, and there wasn't enough sauce compared to cheese. Overall, not a bad place but wouldn't come here again.

Definitely wouldn't come sober but I don't think most of the people do. Pricey for what you get. It is open late which is awesome for Charleston. It's pretty much this or Waffle House on those really late nights. Try the cheese bread and just add pepperonis if you're not into a saucy pie.

We came here after an event downtown last night. I ordered an All the meats calzone minus bacon and add spinach as well as a side of lemon pepper wings. The food was absolutely amazing! The wings were a little overpriced but they were flavorful!

Place is trash. Only eat here as a midnight necessity. My hotel was nearby so walked by and ordered a pizza. They said it'd take 5-10 mins. 20 mins later they said my pizza had a big hole in it so they had to remake it. I said I'd take it anyway. They said they already threw it in the trash. Waited another 20 minutes for my pizza.......

Good drunk pizza is determined by whether it's sustainable through the night and becomes breakfast the next morning - Gilroy's, not so much. I ordered a sausage pizza + chicken wings = $30.38. I can't remember if they charge a delivery fee, but in any case, they deliver into the late hours of the morning. The sausage pizza was very okay. At best, it tasted like an expanded form of frozen pizza. Little dots of sausage sprinkled across the less than memorable pizza dough. The chicken wings were very meh as well. There were a lot of them, but they weren't accompanied by any sort of sauce except for ranch and the skin was pretty prominent which slightly grossed me out. Not horrible, but I wouldn't repeat.

Soggy crust. Under seasoned. Not fresh ingredients. Wings were tiny and not crispy. We ordered through Uber Eats and these guys had a 4.5 rating so here. I have no clue how. Very disappointing.

I wanted to have food delivered to Shawn Jenkins Children's hospital at MUSC to the Respiratory Therapists and found Gilroys was close by. I called and spoke to my new BFF L.J. He had 3 XL pizzas delivered and added a little something something for this hardworking bunch. They were absolutely thrilled to have food during their 16 hour shifts. There was even a little left over for breakfast. Thank you L.J. for your help! You are a rockstar and the food I hear was delicious!

The food here is not good. You are eating this your freshman year of college after getting your fake taken, mascara all over your face, and wishing you had unbuttoned your shein bodysuit before dominating some friend pickles. However I have some amazing memories associated with this place as thousands of former college students do. And for that, we thank you Gilroy's. I'm giving it a biased 10/10

it's a dive version of a restaurant, it's still pretty good, don't get me wrong. the inside is pretty cool and the service at the counter is mostly fast, but always friendly. food is okay, i havent tried sny of their pizzas as they unfortunately don't offer slices, just full pies. but the mac and cheese bites were okay-ish, same goes for the garlic knots which really weren't anything special either. they seemed a little doughy and undone. they do have an interesting selection of soft drinks, you should try 'em out prices are okay for what you get

I twisted my knee so my boyfriend went and picked up a double pepperoni double cheese pizza 14". I love the breading (not too thick or sweet), love the sauce (heavy, rustic, flavorful, also not too sweet), the cheese was on on point and the pepperoni was perfect. Highly recommend.

If I could give zero stars I would. I walked in and wasn't greeted by the smell of pizza, but instead by a faint stale smell of something that wasn't edible. The pizza is extremely overpriced for something that tastes like gas station food. I've had better pizza from a school cafeteria. The crust is flavorless and dry, sauce is somehow bland while overpowering at the same time, and the cheese was beyond greasy. It seems that these people aren't after making good food, but instead making a quick dollar off of hungry drunk people from next door. (only to ruin their night and break their bank) This place has the ability alone to taint Charleston's reputation for good food.

DO NOT GO TO GILROY'S. EVER. IT IS UNSAFE AND DISGUSTING. On Sunday 5/5 around 1am (technically Monday AM) myself and group of post-wedding attendees (probably around 10 of us) went to Gilroys to have some late night pizza and a beer. What ensued was some of the worst behavior I've ever witnessed in a restaurant (and I own restaurants for a living). One of the guests with us was a doctor who had to console a staff member in the kitchen who appeared highly frightened and borderline in shock. Meanwhile I called 911 and we immediately left the restaurant. After ordering @ $70 worth of pizza and bread sticks myself and one of the female guests were directed to the upstairs bar to have a beer while we waited on our food. When we entered the upstairs the music was off and we were greeted with a "what are you doing up here" look. There were people obviously on drugs sitting at the bar, one of whom I found out to be homeless. Additionally when my female friend went to the bathroom I kept a close eye on the door, as I was concerned some of the men at the bar were considering going in the bathroom she was in. Further, when my female company left the bathroom she witnessed the bartender engaging in a sexual act with one of the guests in the back hallway. I felt unsafe and disgusting in your bar. When we came down one of the servers asked why we did not have a beer and we told them it was very uncomfortable upstairs. The server went upstairs to see what was going on. She did not come back for 10 mins or so and our pizza was cooking so we did not think anything of it. When she did finally return she was convulsing, crying, and screaming. Apparently the men upstairs locked her in a closet and told her they were going to harm her. The doctor in our group immediately started doing breathing exercises with this server. I told the cashier we'd like a full refund and to leave. The cashier said our food was almost ready and she'd be happy to comp it. I truly didn't want any food from this disgusting scene. She refunded the @ $70 or so and handed us the recently finished food and profusely apologized. There's no apology for behavior like this. You are running a terribly unsafe establishment. I can't imagine in my life how anyone could let their business get to this point. I've never written a negative review of another restaurant out of professional courtesy. Today that changes because you were the single worst experience I've ever had in any restaurant in my entire life.

Everytime I order from Gilroys I get the same thing 6 Hot Wings and 6 Lemon Pepper wings with extra sauce and let me tell you idk who was in the kitchen last night when I ordered my wings but they did what they had to do in that kitchen. Those were the best wings I have ever had in my life. So whoever cooked those wings I just want you to know that you deserve the world, and keep on making amazing wings. I'm your biggest fan

I spotted this place while looking for late night eats. I decided to get delivery to my hotel. The delivery was fast and easy. The pizza was mediocre at best. There are better places in this city, but if you need a late night meal, this may be one of the only options.

if i could give this place a bajillion stars i woukd a bajillion times. this was the cheesiest, most hits home, most yku can tell yhey want you to enjoy it!! now, i just love this pizza. 10/10.

Pizza was good & loved the garlic rolls. A little disappointed though that there was actually no "pub" part to this. We just walked in off the street and didn't research ahead of time. Fun ambiance.

Been ordering here for 8 years. Delivery drivers always super cool! And always had fire late night food. All these negative reviews can go f--k themselves. It's open till 4am it's not a five star restaurant

This place smells so nasty and you can smell it outside when you are walking past it. The food is very greasy and clearly not fresh. The place itself looks dirty. There are WAY better Italian/pizza places in Charleston. Please don't waste your money at this one!

I'm giving them 4 stars because this place came through for exactly what I was craving. It was a Monday night and 1:00 a.m. I wanted good pizza! I stopped in and ordered a small deluxe. The toppings were fresh and the cheese was greasy goodness. A city should have late night food places, and Gilroy's delivers. The items on the fried munchies section of the menu are sure to hit the spot if you don't want pizza.

I'm not one to complaint I try to see the good in people and be optimistic, but this place should be condemned. No exaggeration the absolute worse experience I've ever had in any establishment let alone restaurant. I'm gonna make this as short as possible because if I said everything I encountered and went through this would be a horror novel. Wish I recorded the events because it was unreal. Waiting for a to go order I was treated and spoken like a prison inmate ( they may get more respect), place was filthy saw several roaches when approaching the door. But I've experienced this in downtown Charleston in front of the nicest and cleanest hotels/restaurants so I continued. Saw rat droppings in the corner where I dropped my cell phone waited about a hour for a small pizza. Got a attitude when asked how much longer it be because my kids kept texting wanting food. After I got home I read the reviews and saw several encounters like this. This place reminded me of a restaurant in Myrtle beach sc called "Dicks" it's where the servers /bar tenders intentionally treat you like crap and talk trash it's the theme of the restaurant hence the name dicks. The owner of this place should be ashamed of this so called establishment. You'd be more likely to catch me diving in a dumpster looking for left overs then to come back and eat in this joke of a place. These employees are going to catch the wrong person on a bad day one of these days and really get some sense slapped into them.

30 minute wait for pizza. never made my order, when I asked why people that ordered behind me already got there order before me they responded by saying my order just wasn't ready it was only a sm peperoni pizza. when I told her I had evening waiting 30 minutes others behind me already got there food, she said I don't know what to tell you they hadn't even started making our pizza yet. I had to cancel and leave or wait at that point another 40 minutes. I will never visit this pizza place again. do not recommend wasting your time on an order that will never come.

If you want to live out a cliche pizza delivery porn fantasy, order here! I wanted to order a pizza around 1:30am on Thursday 7/11 and was excited that Gilroy's was the only place I could find that would deliver late night. When the delivery driver arrived, I forgot that I was paying in cash instead of a card. Before I ran back inside the house to grab money, he told me I could pay for my pizza in other ways... he said, "you know we accept 'Flash for Cash', right?" Confused, I asked him to clarify, and sure enough he explained that he wanted nudity in exchange for a large cheese pizza. Spoiler: I paid in cash, not flash. Reading other reviews on here, sexual inappropriateness seems to be a recurring trait among Gilroy's employees. The pizza was okay, though.

We ordered pizza at 1am from Gilroy's pizza pub delivery. The delivery man dropped off the pizza and we left a good New York style tip. We opened up the pizza box and to our surprise the pizza was smooshed and all to one side. Most of the pizza had curled and the cheese and pepperoni toppings slid to the edge of the box. It was a shame because the pizza actually tasted good. We were just very disappointed with the quality of service and presentation.

Customers can't use bathrooms ? Really!! Not just a take out place u can eat there too.,, but can't use bathroom!!! No worries won't be back as while I was sitting cross legged cpl roaches came crawling by..employees were rude . Employee answering phone cussed when phones kept ringing .

Gilroys never disappointed a few years ago but something happened to their management the past year or so. They have very slow service/delivery of pizza as well as unkind staff. I will say the pizza still taste great but other than that I would give it a 1 star. For reference, I waited 45 minutes for my pizza on Wednesday night...I was inside shop, not delivery

Wow! You guys have a lot of bad reviews, but I'm trying to figure out why. My husband and I are staying at the Frances Marion hotel downtown Charleston. We got in town late and walked around for a good hour trying to find a restaurant serving more than drinks. We ended up going to Yelp delivery options. Your spot popped up because you close at 4am. After reading those reviews I almost just went to sleep but I ordered anyway just to try it out. We ordered all the meats pizza and lemon pepper and mild wings. It was so good and our order came quickly. We are eating it cold this morning so we won't have to leave the room before we head out for our cruise this afternoon and it hit the spot. Thanks for making great food! Don't let those reviews get you down because they are wrong. Jacqueline Thomas

Rude customer service, rude attitude of the server, there was an aggression toward my party, I would not spend my money at a establishment were the servers are hostile toward their customers.

The lemon pepper wings are wonderful. The cashiers and management are not friendly people. The service and everything is ridiculously disgusting.
