Gimme Gimme

This is such a cool little dive. It’s red on the inside, kind of dark…there is bar seating, high tops, and some booth seating. They have an awesome food menu and a very neat drink menu with unique cocktails. There is a photo booth and a pool table as well. I’ve been a few times and had the duck fat waffle fries, wings, cheese curds, ramen, and chili dog all of which were delicious. I can’t wait to come back to try some other drinks and menu items. On wednesdays they do steak night! Check this place out if you haven’t already

I came here just for a drink and to play pool. The atmosphere is fun and the service was good, but I can’t really rate the food since I didn’t eat. It’s a nice spot if you’re looking to hang out, grab a drink, and enjoy some pool.

MAAAAANNNNNN!!! The only thing that sucks at this bar is the food hours. Sometimes I pass by at 1pm and they’re closed. I need a hot wings fix guys!! The scratch kitchen is always on point, staff-friendly and fast. Doing their job. I recommend this place all day and always will. Thanks guys!! 🙏

Update: 10/8/2024 We went to steak night and were blown away yet again!!! - cannot recommend this place enough! Sorry my pictures were after my big back has already dug in. But the Mac and cheese was PERFECT, the steak cooked perfectly. Love this place. The vibes are always right, the food is ALWAYS good and the bartenders are ALWAYS great. This is great Friday night date night spot, or even a place to bring your friends. I wouldn’t say it’s a family friendly place (for small kiddos). The espresso martini is TO DIE FOR and the Cuban sandwich is something to try! My hubs also like the duck fat fries. This place is consistently good and we are long time customers!

Gimme Gimme is one of my favorite spots. They seriously have the best chicken wings, and their famous steak night with duck fat waffle fries are so good! Add in great drinks, great music, and an awesome atmosphere and it’s the perfect place for a night out. Highly recommend!

Joined friends here for steak night and was surprised how nice the interior was decorated. As we were guided to the dining area we noticed an extensive selection of wines and drinks to start the evening. For appetizers we got duck fat waffle fries and crispy Oaxacan cheese curds. Both were excellent and the portions were just the right size for sharing. Our ordered steak was cooked perfectly and stood on its own but also came with a pepper corn sauce as a complement. For a side we got a baby iceberg wedge salad. Every dish was spot on. The service was great and the decor inside made for a nice relaxing dinner with friends exceptionally nice. A must try if you have not tried this new and upcoming restaurant.

Bargimmiegimmie is without one the best places not only in Southtown, but in Sa. At any point during the week, if you find yourself making a visit, you will encounter a friendly staff that emphasizes customer service. Great drink selections and the game changer is the food. My wife and I enjoy the wings on every visit, in particular Fridays for $1 wings and with a side of duck fat waffle fries. Great weekend bar to enjoy a good ambiance with quality food and drinks late. Would highly recommend bargimmiegimmie to any and all who enjoy fun nights out!

Stopped in at Gimme Gimme for a few drinks and really enjoyed it. They have a great selection of top-shelf vodka and scotch. The vibe is dark and cozy, but not too noisy — perfect for an intimate hang or relaxed night out. We didn’t try the food, but saw plenty of people ordering and everything looked really good. Highly recommend!

Coming into the Gimme Gimme made me feel like I wasn't in San Antonio. The vibes right off the bat as you walk in make you feel like your at your favorite tia and tios (aunt and uncles) house right off the bat. The red lighting, booths, and the welcoming bar and staff hit just right. There is a very welcoming vibe here no doubt where you know you will end up chilling for a good minute, with a nice cold beer, and some really good comfort food too. I had been wanting to stop in to Gimme Gimme for a minute and I ended up coming here with a coworker during the week while in town for a work conference. Not far from the Tower of Americas and located in Southtown, this is the spot you go to chill out, get some good food, meet some cool peeps, and watch the Spurs play. I saw a pool table here too although we didn't get a chance to play. I know they got wing and steak nights on top of showing all the Spurs games during the NBA season. I saw some football games on here too during our visit and I am sure they would be down to find the game you want to watch if you ask nicely. Although it was during the week I was here there were plenty of patrons/regulars hanging out and chowing down on some wings. We had the Frito pie and some Oaxaca cheese sticks too. It slammed and paired perfectly with my happy meal of a beer and a whiskey shot. Parking was easy and seemed like neighborhood parking mostly but during the week I am sure you will have no issues finding a spot here. Loved the artwork and again the vibes were just super welcoming. If I lived in SA this would be my regular go-to spot no doubt. Prices are legit and the company is the same.

We had the opportunity to finally stop in to eat and drink at this really chill bar and eatery after the dia de los muertos festival downtown. I really didn't know what to expect, but the ambiance of this bar is slightly divey but also trendy at the same time. It definitely fits the Southtown charm! We sat at the bar and were immediately greeted and given the drink and food specials of the day. I order the chili cheese dog and my friend ordered the smash burger special with a beer. The chili cheese dog was delicious with high quality ingredients. The cheeseburger and fries looked delicious too, but sadly I didn't get to try them.... maybe next time. Know before you go: There is parking in the back of the building, but it's limited. The menu is small, but I think that is appropriate for a dive bar and grill.

My friends and I came here Saturday night& had a great time. We shared nachos, fried pickles and some mozzarella balls together as appetizers 10/10. Our server kept refilling our waters every time he saw it halfway, which was a nice gesture. We also ordered 2 margarita pitchers to share among ourselves & I have to say it was strong and delicious This bar is pretty cool, can't wait to be back!

The drinks were decent, but the food was average. I ordered a double burger and got a single. The fries were supposed to be duck fat fried-they tasted very ordinary. We ordered a wedge salad and got a sorry minuscule version. I was told this was an excellent late night option- it is not! I won't be back-I'll go to Bar Loretta or Taqueria Data Point on Medical instead.

Service was amazing! Steak was delicious. Music was chef's kiss!! Atmosphere is chill.

We went to the wine bar attached - called A Perfect Day. Niles was the best host and all around great advocate! We had some great French wine and amazing buffalo wings that were done in a delicious Asian sauce!! Would definitely go back to A Perfect Day!

If the name doesn't intrigue you, maybe my words will. Located in Francis bogsides old location. Open concept. Staff was amazing. Big tv to catch the game. Simple menu to get some food. Definitely need to try more items on the food menu. The cheese curds were so so. Really greasy. The waffle fries were ok. Probably would get either again but would try something else. Good place to take a date or catch up with friends. Will definitely be back.

Great place to watch the spurs games, have a cold drink and play some pool with friends or people you just met! Rock and roll atmosphere with killer tunes and bartenders. If you're looking for a place in Southtown that is fun, chill and cool this place is for you.

The atmosphere is really good and I like the music. The bartender made some great drinks and came out quick. Service was good.

The Place is great and Aaron is a great host! When you set foot in San Antonio come and visit this place I promise you won't regret it!

Starting coming here on a friends recommendation. We went to Steak night and it's is great... served with duck fries. They also make fantastic Negroni on special Thursday.

Went here for a bar hop type of deal. Drinks were solid and priced well. Ambiance is a dark, kinda speakeasy vibe. The food was outstanding. I'm shocked how good it was. Burger is one of the best I've had in San Antonio. Fries with duck fat, bravo. Service was fantastic as well. All my friends loved it as well. Well done staff. Sorry I didn't get any names. An overall great experience and will 100% be back.

Stopped by last night at 6pm for their Friday Happy House special. Let's begin, the atmosphere, and cleanliness of the place was superior beyond belief. The bar looked wonderful, the booths were comfortable. The restrooms were clean, the staff was very fun and friendly. I put 4 and not 5 stars because of a couple of things, most importantly the $1 Wings is a false advertisement - you buy wings but a mim of 6, so you might as well say they have 6 wings for $6 dollars. If you want 7 or 8 wings, it's not allowed - you have to order another minimum of 6 for $6 wings. You also can't mismatch, 3 buffalo and 3 of the other Asian infusion zesty tasting ones. We even told the server there were way too many rules to this bar. Their drink menu wasn't that fabulous, didn't have much of a wine list or cocktails - more of a shot list lol. The music was very rock and 80's which nothing wrong with that, it went with the place - atmosphere. I'd def be back - the atmosphere was great and the staff was friendly - I'd just suggest clearer promotional flyers. Again it's not $1 wings. $1 wings is you allowing the consumer to pick the amount of wings they want. Congrats to the new business!

Wednesday steak night is the best! The Ribeye is perfectly cooked to you liking and comes with duck fat waffle fries with an Au Poivre sauce for only $25. Not to mention they have great happy hour! They have a great menu and every night specials! Worth your bucks! Next door that connect to Gimme Gimme is A Perfect Day and it's the best wine bar ever in the center of Southtown. They will serve you your steaks in there too!

Went for a drink stayed for dinner. Thursday night Chicken Fried Steak absolutely amazing. Came with mash potatoes, green beans and we ordered Mac and cheese with bacon. Omg to say it was delicious is an understatement. The generous portion with the affordable price is just another reason to make it a must visit. I highly recommend it! Excited to go on Steak night Wednesday.

The food and drinks were amazing! Will definitely be back for more steak. Wednesday is steak night don't miss out.

Came to check out the Chicken Fried Steak made with Akaushi beef. So tender and packed with flavor. The mash and green beans were an excellent accompaniment to the CFS. You can only get it on Thursdays and it filled up quick when the doors opened at 6. Definitely worth checking out.

Food was absolutely delicious! Baked Potato was absolutely yummy pair with my steak! Staff was attentive and pleasant!

Foods good. Good luck getting it. Had to order my drink, and two sides twice individually before getting anything. Ended up with an empty glass sitting in front of me for about 15 minutes waiting for my second side. This is with three bartenders and only two tables not at the bar. Maybe Sundays are not the day to be here.
