Nitro-obsessed and proudly local, this bearded duo pours creamy draft cold brew and classic espresso from a tucked-away spot in the Channel District. Regularly used for community meetups and highlighted by local broadcasters, it’s a downtown pick-me-up with personality.

I love Ginger Beard. I lived in downtown Tampa from 2019-2023 just steps away and really miss this place. We were back in town last weekend and of course had to stop by. The peanut butter latte is my favorite item on the menu; very creamy and smooth with the perfect level of sweetness. The owners are friendly and always willing to discuss menu recommendations. A great place for socializing or working. Thanks for all the memories Ginger Beard!

Google
12/10. We stopped in for a latte based on a quick google search. The coffee was amazing, but the owner, Josh really makes the experience. We saw so many regulars come and go that he all knew by name. This place is an absolute gem with the best vibes.

Google
The best place to go if you need some great coffee options and a place to work or study. The atmosphere is incredible, you can either mind your own business and work, or hang out in company. Their coffee options are truly so tasteful! We had a coffee flight and an iced chai latte which was one of the best I’ve had.

Google
This spot i visited had good coffee and they also served beer. I didn’t see a menu for food but there were donuts on the counter. The bearded gentleman was nice and served the coffee quickly. It was a bar atmosphere and was neat place. Didn’t have food so i can’t comment on that but it would have been nice to have been offered a menu asked if i had been there before… i would recommend to try the coffee and test the vibes for yourself! Enjoy

Google
My experience at Ginger Beard Coffee was outstanding! From the moment I stepped in as a stranger, I was greeted with warmth and genuine friendliness by their incredible brewmasters who go above and beyond. The menu is a coffee lover’s paradise — a dazzling array of cold brews and assorted drinks that had me exploring new flavors with each sip. The atmosphere is inviting, and the staff’s passion for coffee really shines through. They take the time to recommend drinks and share their knowledge, making it more than just a coffee stop — it’s an experience. I walked out not only with a fantastic drink but also with a newfound appreciation for the art of coffee. Ginger Beard Coffee is a must-visit for anyone looking for top-notch brews and friendly faces. Five stars all the way!

Google
Great coffee, great service, great beards. Was able to quickly find parking and quick access to ginger beard coffee and get in and out quickly.

Google
This place is definitely worth a visit. We were there on Saturday 03.22.25 There was a nice girl and a male barista, unfortunately I don't know his name but he made an amazing latte, I recommend this place in Tampa

Google
What a gem in Tampa. Coffee was great. Atmosphere was great. The owner Josh is incredible. Would highly recommend paying a visit for your coffee. We will be back next time my wife and I are in Tampa!

Yelp
Tried for the first time recently and thoroughly impressed!! Will definitely be back. I was unsure what to get so the owner gave me a sample of the peanut butter draft latte. It was really good but a little sweet for my liking so he offered to cut with regular draft cold brew to make it less sweet (without me even asking, I guess he could tell what I was thinking haha) and it was perfect this way! It started torrential downpouring right as I got my coffee and was about to leave and he gave me an umbrella so I could get to my car without getting rained on 10/10 service and can't wait to come back and try the seasonal latte

Yelp
Been coming here for years and every year it gets better! Josh and Derek are always so welcoming, tons of seating with outlets for studying/working and a calm ambiance with good vibes. Coffee is amazing - whether it's nitro brew for locking in or a dirty chai I always know the quality will be great, and the service is super quick. Lucky to have this place in the neighborhood!

Yelp
Hands down the best nitro cold brew ever made: peanut butter nitro! The worker was so friendly and knew everyone's name and order in line, so definitely a place for regulars. Service was immediate. The actual inside is a bit dark, but there's plenty of outdoor seating that has shade. I would give this place 6 stars if I could!!

Yelp
Was hopeful for a matcha latte here after a bad experience trying to buy one earlier today. No luck. The chai mix has milk in to, so nothing for me! But they had nitro which my husband enjoyed and recommended a coffee shop down the street for matcha, so nice of them! The nitro was smooth, and the service was spectacular. When we went to pay our server mentioned a couple of ladies and said there was no charge as it was on those ladies! What a pleasant surprise. It's a brewery with a coffee section off to the side. There's a pool table and tons of beer pulls. Looks like lots of fun evenings could be had at this place! They also support dog rescues with a pictures with Santa event, that's always going to get bonus points in my book!

Yelp
Last minute coffee plans with friends changed and we needed a new venue so with yelps help we landed here. Walking in I noticed a limited menu (helpful to those who cannot make up minds easily .... ) and noticed they were quick to take orders and quick to serve ... LOVE that! Also as I was waiting for friends I observed they know their regulars and their orders which is also a great trait in a coffee shop. It's not your traditional coffee shop and shifts to a bar setting later in the day it appears and limited indoor seating but extensive outdoor seating is also an option. I ordered a cold brew black - came in a super cute little cup and friends got coffee and chai. We all agreed the coffee and tea were excellent and we really enjoyed our time. Thanks for a great morning and cup of joe!!!

Yelp
This is our favorite neighborhood coffee shop, it has such a friendly atmosphere, dog friendly, and such amazing service. It's also a hot spot for studying! Josh at the counter always recognizes his customers and asks how their day is going. I got the peanut butter draft latte which is one of my favorites. It's such a unique flavor that you literally can't get anywhere else.

Yelp
It's been awhile since I'd been to Ginger Beard. Not for any reason other than trying to share the love with other local coffee shops. And oh man, one visit and it's a good reminder as to why this place is one of the best. One unique thing about GBC is 95% of the time, you're ordering your coffee from one of the owners: Josh and Derek. That alone makes this place special because you can literally feel the love and passion in every cup they brew. I wanted hot coffee so I ordered a cappuccino with some of their macadamia/coconut (I think) and it was very good. My friend got the draft latte, which is always phenomenal, and I was glad to be able to have some of it! Josh is a ray of sunshine, like you're honestly so lucky anytime you get to have a conversation with this man. He's SO nice and fun to talk to. It's dog-friendly even inside, so lots of pups hangin' out. Can't wait to come back again soon!!

Yelp
A+++!! Amazing service- we were greeted warmly and immediately. The drinks (draft pb lattes) were amazing (and customizable!) and he even made a hot chocolate for our daughter. We will definitely be back whenever we are in downtown Tampa.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow, the macadamia nut/ coconut cold brew was amazing. Thanks Sunday Squad for the reco!

Yelp
Great coffee here! it is located inside pour house. lots of seating inside and very chill. a few people were sitting at the bar doing work when we went. i tried the peanut butter latte and i liked it! the peanut butter flavor is very subtle and compliments the kind of toasty bitterness of espresso well. i don't really like flavored lattes so i can't give it a proper rating out of ten but i definitely give it a thumbs up! peanut butter draft latte: thumbs up chai latte: 9.5/10 only negative: they only have whole milk and oat milk :( super cute cups and the barista was very nice! parking for this area is paid street parking!
google avatar

Saphir S.

Yelp
We were first timers and I'm shocked it took us so long to try GBC! I got a chai (delicious) and my husband got a black coffee. GBC is very unique because the morning hours are a coffee shop before it turns into a brewery. It felt like all the customers in line were their regulars as they all knew each other. It was very special. We found paid parking on the street, but I think there may be access to a parking garage elsewhere.
google avatar

Monika W.

Yelp
When looking for a place to work remote for a couple hours, Ginger Beard was in a great location! The parking was easy, and it was extremely spacious - they had seats inside and a few tables outside. I ordered a Chai Tea with oat milk and it was one of the most flavorful chais I have had! Simply delicious. The people working here were also very chill and helpful.
google avatar

Yelp
One of the best lattes in tampa. The feel of the whole shop is super cute and super small. It's quick and easy to get in and out of. The front staff is always friendly and asking for your name.
google avatar

Steff L.

Yelp
Great service and friendly staff. Coffee is tasty and the environment inside is nice. Pet friendly.

Yelp
Definitely a new go-to WFH location. Hard to find at first, but you'll be glad when you do. Josh & Derek (the guys with the ginger beards) are both so cool. The space is great. Ample seating. Good music and vibes all around. It's located between a few different apartment buildings and parking isn't ideal, so it's clearly designed for the residents in the area which makes sense. Important to note it's not a stay all day kind of coffee shop. It closes at 2 and opens back up at 4 for brewery patrons. I will be back soon!

Jake C.

Yelp
Best coffee in Tampa, hands down! Owners and staff are awesome, attentive, and are extremely knowledgeable about coffee. Very cool venue...coffee shop by day...bar by night...what is there not to look.
google avatar

Malek B.

Yelp
Sports Bar & coffee house in one! And the guys behind the bar have ginger colored beards - what more could you ask for? They're also cool dudes, welcoming, hospitable. In the way back of the shopping center - keep walking all the way back there. After a while the schizophrenic/ bipolar thing hit home. I wasn't able to enjoy my early am coffee vibe while thinking I need to have a beer and enjoy ESPN on those big screens. Note they have -0- no food options. Went across the street to Robeks for avocado toast on sourdough w/ sliced boiled egg on top. Surprisingly delicious Returned for an Americano. 1st round was an espresso. Roasting coffee on site is a bonus.
google avatar

Melissa B.

Yelp
Great drip coffee! Owner is awesome, so the service is great! The spot is really nice for meetings, networking events, a small meet up group, or a place to WFH.
google avatar

Nat J.

Yelp
Loved this place! The vibe is unique and cool, different than any other coffee shop I've been to. I had the peanut butter draft latte and it was delicious! I also got a bag of their espresso beans to try at home. Can't wait to be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Really interesting coffee shop. It's a bit out of the way downtown but it's worth a stop as it has a very cool vibe. Came first thing in the morning after some sunrise photos to grab some caffeine and had some nitro coffee, which was pretty good. It had a very distinct flavor profile that I was not expecting (almost hoppy?) but it seems that's the case with many of their nitro options. The vanilla latte was also good, with a very strong pull of espresso, which my wife really liked but I feel the flavor notes were not quite what I like in my coffee. As far as hipster and new pushing boundaries coffee, this is probably best I've tried, and I would come back to try some other flavors.
google avatar

Miguel R.

Yelp
This isn't your traditional coffee shop and it's what I love about these guys. They found a way to perfect the nitro brew. But it's not just that they perfected the pour it's that they found a way to brew up a PB brew, a lavender and a half cafe nitro! These ginger bearded guys are awesome. The atmosphere is great too even if you aren't a beer drinker.
google avatar

William L.

Yelp
Drinks: Got the flight of four nitro coffees (two latte and two black cold brew). All were delicious and you can definitely feel the caffeine in them. Value: Flight of 4 was just under $5. Experience: The owner (Josh) was super friendly and personable! Talked us through what we ordered and you can tell he loves what he does. The spot is located inside the Pour House and there is some street parking right outside. Highly recommend checking out this spot if you're looking for coffee!
google avatar

Maya T.

Yelp
First time coming here and even though there is not very much variety as the last coffee shop we went to, this place was WAY better. I got a chai latte and it's delicious, tastes almost like Big Train that we used to use. Great name, great service and great coffee.
google avatar

Suelin K.

Yelp
My golden buzzer award for Tampa! Amazing service by Josh, who was super welcoming and knowledgeable for us visitors. Foam on my cortado was one of the best I've had, and you can tell they put a lot of love and effort into these drinks. Swanky bar/brewery vibe inside. I even got to try the nitro cold brew, which has peanut butter extract (but is safe for those with peanut allergies!). Pretty good caffeine levels in all drinks and everything was tasty. We're coffee snobs, and this was immediately a 5 star rating from the ambiance, taste, and service. It's well worth going out of your way for, and whether you're a local or a tourist, you won't be disappointed.

Kaitlyn C.

Yelp
Stop drop and roll the peanut butter draft latte is something I cannot live without. I need it on tap in my house. If you are a coffee drinker both think and the cold brew are 10/10
google avatar

James M.

Yelp
I came in here because I thought the name was cool and I didn't feel like Starbucks style coffee. When I went in, I was served by a man with a ginger beard... I don't know why but I wasn't expecting that. 10/10 experience
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
Super friendly and helpful! Bearded gentleman behind the counter asked what coffee we usually drink to guide us into what they serve that we might like. It worked! Tried the special of peanut butter, oat milk, pumpkin spices in their nitro infused cold brew! Smooth and nice. Definitely want to go back and try the nitro flight and kombucha flight specials!!!!!! Chill atmosphere tons of outdoor seating mostly covered.
google avatar

Ariana F.

Yelp
Staff is friendly. There is indoor and outdoor seating if you want to bring your laptop and do some studying or work. I suggest the draft latte, it's the perfect balance of peanut butter and coffee flavor with a hint of sweetness.
google avatar

Alessandra F.

Yelp
I was finally able to try this gem and it did not disappoint! I had their PB nitro cold brew and added mocha syrup...bruh. Best. coffee. EVER! The atmosphere itself is super chill and a spot where you can have discussions or get some work done. I am so ready to relocate to this area and have Ginger Beard in close proximity.
google avatar

Allysa P.

Yelp
delicious coffee and chai. if you're questioning what to drink they'll give you a little sample of their nitro brews. I got the hang 10 and the hot chai sooo good! Super study friendly. Dog friendly and the baristas are so knowledgeable and kind.
google avatar

JR R.

Yelp
Visiting from nyc, and found this gem. Not many places that even offer nitro, so having an entire flight with 4 smooth and delicious concoctions makes me want to move to Tampa! ‍

Maddie G.

Yelp
The ambiance is lovely! I love the ambiance of this coffee shop/ bar! Firstly I would like to give kudos to the twi bearded men who have helped me with ny coffee. They have such light, warm, spirits that make the establishment unique and a place I choose to spend my time at. And to the star of the show... THEIR COFFEE. The most delicious coffee I have ever had! It's smooth, rich, and don't get me started in the foam. I would spend my last penny here if I could! Thank you for making my experience here the best!
google avatar

Bob R.

Yelp
Damn that was good. Popped in unplanned during half time and tried the peanut butter cold brew. I'm no cold brew expert but it was AWESOME. I was afraid it would be too much peanut butter flavor but was subtle and perfect.
google avatar

Yasmeen F.

Yelp
I'm beyond grateful to be close to my favorite coffee shop! Josh is the greatest! Best Chai/dirty chai latte and Nitro PB draft! On Wednesdays they sell these light and fluffy cinnamon sugar donuts *chefs kiss*!
google avatar

Julia C.

Yelp
Josh greeted us the second we walked in the door. He was super friendly and welcoming. Asked the right questions to recommend the perfect coffee for me and my spouse. I was super out of it after an overnight flight from Seattle and was happy to not have to overthink my coffee choice. The coffee shop/bar is huge! A must stop while in Tampa!
google avatar

Brian S.

Yelp
Great spot! Part of the Pour House, coffee before beer! Great coffee cool menu for both the traditionalist as well as the sweet tooth caffeinated. Worth a try!
google avatar

Alex L.

Yelp
I honestly am skeptical when a establishment has 5 stars. Statistically, that seems impossible. Well against all odds, I'm a believer now. This place was awesome. The ginger beards absolutely know what is up. Helpful and talented these guys know what they are doing. Cool experimental flavors with their lattes and just overall great coffee execution. Do yourself a favor, skip starbucks and buddy brew take the Tampa Street Car and get off at the Publix stop and grab yourself what I would say is the best coffee in the downtown Tampa area.

Yelp
Found this shop near my hotel while in Tampa for a short winter getaway. I chose it over Starbucks because, duh, small businesses are the best. The shop is in the corner of a fun social center by some other restaurants, gym, and outdoor bar. It seems like this coffee shop is located inside of a brewery/bar? Cool. Kind of stagnant inside with the awesome man with the red beard (owner, possibly?) tucked in the corner. The menu was small, which I like because it makes it feel like they do these things really well. I ordered a plain 8 oz latte with the macadamia nut milk. I went for their macadamia nut milk instead of the usual oat or almond because you never hear of people having it! Very fun. The only thing weird about this milk was the way it was described to me: "Uh, it's like almond I guess. Nutty." Lol, I hope so. Either the milk or the espresso was a little bitter, but I finished the latte nonetheless. I sat outside because of COVID (I was the only one in the place wearing a mask while ordering, btw) and enjoyed the fresh air on the large, shared patio space. Not blown away by the product or customer service, but the location is convenient.

Josie U.

Yelp
Such a fun atmosphere. Josh the bartender/barista was so helpful guiding me through the menu and was very friendly with great energy. Definitely will come back!
google avatar

Brianne B.

Yelp
Delicious tea and even better service, which is saying a lot because the tea was amazing.

Cameron E.

Yelp
Had an excellent dirty chai while playing some of the cool games they have. Even though i was slightly harassed for wearing eagles gear on football sunday (kidding it was fun banter) we decided we had to come back and get it again the next day. Great staff, great atmosphere and most important, great coffee.

Yelp
PB&J flavored Nitro Cold Brew? Freakin' sold. Coffee shops around Florida take note. Ginger Beard Coffee has not one, not two, not three, BUT FOUR varieties of Nitro Cold Brew on tap! It's a win for local coffee shops to have one on tap, let alone four with niche flavors and tasting notes. I don't make proclamations like this often, however this was the best nitro cold brew I've had in recent memory. Hell, maybe all year! From the moment we walked in, the lovely ginger-bearded man behind the counter treated us like royalty, in his own charismatic way. There were some hidden gems behind the counter that I can't necessarily comment on in a review. You'll have to find out for yourself. Next up, they have a wall of beers on tap. If it weren't for our post lunch coffee fuel up, I would have loved to really explored the beer they served in house. All in all, a wide open shop with tons of space for the coffee or beer aficionado. Must stop in Tampa!
google avatar

Rachel E.

Yelp
5 stars for the awesome concept. 4 stars for the limited hours and weird location. It's awesome to see a place like this in Tampa. I've never seen so many coffee nitro taps available (really I'm just impressed if a place has more than one). I love how you can get a flight, too, since there are so many options. I'll admit I'm not much of a drinker so the opportunities for "flights" are very limited. However, it was exciting to feel like one of the cool kids, even if it was just a flight of kombucha and coffee. The prices are a little on the high side, but that's to be expected with hipster beverages like this. The hours to this place are a little wonky because they are part of a brewery. It's really tricky to make their hours on the weekday if you work. Also, parking was a little bit of a pain. We had a hard time finding the garage so we just parked on the street, which had a bunch of construction going on. Also, the sign was not at all clear since it's part of a brewery. But it was a very interesting place and definitely worth a visit if you're a fan of nitro - specifically coffee nitro. The kombuchas that they had on tap that day were just okay, so I think if you're a kombucha konnoisseur (see what I did there?) you might be a little underwhelmed. I love tea but wasn't overwhelmed with the tea nitro choices- but nonetheless I was glad to see them.

Yelp
Small local coffee shop that is combined with the local bar Pourhouse. Probably the best cold brew in town with awesome flavors like peanut butter infused nitro and coconut infused nitro. Fast internet, lots of seating options and stand up working areas. Super friendly staff and they actually have ginger beards! The co-owner Josh is awesome and is well versed in coffee and tea knowledge! Stop in and say hi and get 10% off your first visit :)

Joseph C.

Yelp
Their peanut butter cold brew and flat whites are so freaking good. They're also extremely kind and welcoming every time I get coffee here. (Side note: I love how strong their espresso is! They seem to use a medium/dark espresso roast which tastes really good.)
google avatar

Jessica Q.

Yelp
Ginger Beard has a hip laid back environment that you don't typically see in coffee shops, but makes sense because at night it turns into a bar. It definitely feels like you're in a bar except in the morning drinking coffee lol.  I got a dirty chai latte with oatmilk which was tasty. My only gripe was that they can't make it iced which is what I would have preferred. Also, it came out to around 6.50 which is so pricy for a standard drink but I guess typical for Downtown Tampa. The staff were nice and friendly. As a tip: order for here if you plan to stay for a bit so they serve your drink in a cute mug!
google avatar

Sophia N.

Yelp
Best. Nitro. EVER. Come for the coffee, stay for the beards. Even the *special* chai has your tastebuds swimming into Valhalla my friend

Markos K.

Yelp
An awesome coffee shop serving up.... awesome coffee. I love this place for the excellent atmosphere, the warm and friendly staff, the fantastic coffee. I also love that they serve beer! In fact the brew their own stuff in the back. Did I mention that they are 100% dog friendly? Guys , can it get any better? I don't think so. This place is located super close to the Florida Aquarium and is a great place to stop off before going, check them out!

Yelp
Quick service and hot coffee. Can't ask for much more! The environment is great for a day of working from home or school work. Would recommend for something different
