Came here as a party of eight to celebrate a birthday, vaccinated on one side and nonvaccinated on the other side of the table.
Exceptional ambiance, with beautiful decorations on the ceiling, always one of my favorite Asian fusion restaurants.
The $15 Wor Wonton soup is among the very best I have ever tasted. Plentiful chicken dumplings with large slices of chicken, calamari, shrimp, bok choy and mushrooms. No skimping on meat, nor seafood, this is more like a solid meal than a soup.
The $19 3 Delight on sizzling plate comes with calamari, chicken, shrimp, snow peas, mushrooms and broccoli on a sizzling plate. Another solid dish with lots of meat and seafood fried on the hot plate in front of you. Perfectly cooked not too overdone.
The $19 shrimp with veggie is shrimp with broccoli, snow peas, bok choy, bamboo shoots and mushrooms. A pretty common dish.
The $19 orange beef is fried battered beef with tangerine peel in a sweet citrus sauce. I've tasted better at Panda Express. The orange beef here is too sweet, and too much batter for my taste.
The $16 eggplant tofu comes with sweet and sour garlic sauce. Probably stick to the crispy tofu next time, but wife loves the eggplant. Sweet and sour sauce not among my favorites.
The $19 candied pecan prawn was not of my choosing, but a favorite among the granddaughters. Tossed with sweet creamy sauce, the prawns are nevertheless well presented and not full of mayo like sauce. A very heavy and filling dish. I would have ordered the carmelized garlic prawns with more kick.
The $17 Mongolian beef comes with onions, scallions, and crispy rice noodles. Spicy hot, I usually slice up the hot red chilis to increase the spiciness. Another one of the best I have ever tasted dishes, right up there with PF Chang's Mongolian beef with green onions.
The $16 kung pao chicken comes with carrots, onions, mushrooms, celery, peanuts, chili peppers, along with slices of chicken . My wife's favorite, we always order this dish when coming here, as it is still another of one of the best dishes I have tasted.
With two orders of steamed rice, the bill comes to $167 before tax, with no drinks and no dessert. 18% suggest tip based on $182.03 which includes $15.03 sales tax. Since when do we tip on tax?
Yours truly paid for the birthday dinner. Surprised that my ex didn't ask for a free slice of birthday cake for her husband, 11 years her junior.
