We had a wonderful experience at Ginger Cafe. From start to finish, everything was top notch. We ordered the lamb chops, gyro platter, and their freshly made kunafa, along with some homemade ginger ale and every single item was bursting with flavor. The lamb chops were perfectly seasoned, tender, and cooked to perfection, easily one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The gyro platter was hearty and flavorful, and the kunafa was warm, cheesy, and delightfully crispy, the perfect way to end the meal. The great thing is it's all Halal. A special shoutout to Brook, our server, who made the experience even better. She was attentive, enthusiastic, and had a genuine smile the entire time. She took care of everything effortlessly, making us feel completely welcome. If you’re looking for a spot with amazing food and great service Ginger Cafe is a must-visit!

Hospitality was outstanding from the moment we arrived. We were warmly welcomed by Johnny, making us feel like we were in a fine dining restaurant. The owner was friendly, greeted us personally, and even offered us pastries that are not yet on the menu. For the main dishes, I ordered a burger, butter chicken, and the margherita flatbread. Everything was delicious, with well-balanced and precise flavors. Regarding the burger, I would have preferred feta cheese on the side rather than on top, as it was rich and made the sandwich lack some moisture. I would also have preferred beef instead of lamb and the addition of the restaurant’s special burger sauces, but I still enjoyed it very much. The fries were absolutely the best—crispy, fluffy, and perfectly cooked. The staff and owner were very kind and attentive. I would have preferred brighter lighting, slightly improved decor, and insect repellents for more comfort. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience with delicious food, friendly staff, and a welcoming atmosphere.

LOVE LOVE LOOOVE!!! Super delicious authentic Mediterranean food. The atmosphere & services were a 10/10. We live 2 hours away…I wish we had a place like this closer to where we live!!

Still sitting here eating, but couldn't wait to write this review. The Chicken Souvlaki was a nice mix of spices and chicken. The tzatziki sauce complemented it well. The Calamari tasted really fresh. I enjoyed the golden breading. I even tried the Butter Chicken. Loved the spices and the basmati rice. Excellent food overall. Our waitress was brand new. Her first day on the job. She made a few mistakes but recovered like a professional. I hope you all enjoy this Mediterranean cuisine as much as I have. Almost forgot my wonderful Greek salad. Reminded me of the Island of Crete. Eat well...

We went in for dinner on Saturday after a long Black Friday shopping weekend and it was perfect. We had delicious, flavorful steak kabobs & lamb shanks & they even had beautiful Christmas music playing in the background, so relaxing!!! Ginger Cafe & Grill in Corpus Christi is an incredible find. The lamb shank is to die for and truly one of the best I have ever had. It is tender, full of flavor, and falls right off the bone, making every bite unforgettable. The dolmas are also excellent, fresh and well seasoned. Everything feels carefully prepared with a lot of care. I definitely want to come back and try more from their menu, because this place really stands out.

We tried Ginger Café for my daughter’s birthday, and it was such a great find! We started with the hummus and it was honestly the best I’ve ever had. It came with chips and bread, and even my daughter (who doesn’t like hummus) kept going back for more. The portions were great, our plates were loaded with soft, flavorful meat and plenty of rice. Everything tasted amazing. The service was just as good as the food. Our waitress was very nice and patient. If you haven’t been, I 100% recommend checking out Ginger Café. Such a hidden gem in Corpus Christi. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a delicious meal of chicken shawarma and butter chicken. Tender, spicy and flavorful! We have been coming here for years, and it never disappoints. Brooke our waitress was attentive and friendly.

Great Staff! Willing to make things right if there's a mix up. I usually get the butter chicken Decided to try one of their newer items on the menu, Mediterranean Mushroom Chicken. Fantastic! Wonderful wood grilled flavor comes thru. Mushroom, not over powering. You won't regret it. Ambiance is very comfortable. T shirts to Church cloths are all appropriate.

If you are wanting a mix of cultures from Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, Persia, India, and Pakistan, this is the spot! I would say the indoor sitting is a bit wonky and no actual theme established but I can say the food was insanely good. Full of flavor, not missing salt like a lot of joint I've been to. If I was to pick an item I'd eat all over again is the shawarma hummus which I did not take a pic of it was 100/10 ! Highly recommend this place

We got so lucky finding this and this is a must visit when you're in Corpus. Every dish we ordered was straight up fire deliciousness. Our hummus shawarma w/ cauliflower was tasty with plenty of flavor from the spices and olive oil. The kebbeh and falafel both had crispy texture with a soft hot filling. Definitely would order all three again. For the entree, we split the mixed grill kabobs. Comes with gyro, beef, and chicken kabobs which all had that buttery lemony flavor and cooked perfectly with the grill marks. Goes well with the lemony saffron rice that it is served with. The servers here are attentive but laid back. We never felt rushed and they always anticipated items before we had to ask for them such as water refills and extra pita for the hummus. We thought about getting dessert but we were quite stuffed from our meals. Definitely next time as we will definitely be back!

A locals' list winner for the past 10 years, providing warm atmosphere, inviting service, and exceptional eats accessible for any palate's preference. I was in the mood for classic Mediterranean, opting for the Gyro Plate - incredibly fragrant saffron rice brewed with bay leaf and other aromatic herbs (inconceivably packed with flavor!) layered with salty, slightly gamey (in a good way) garlic-herbed gyro meat. The side of hummus with rich olive oil took me on a little reverie of holidays past. Veggies were fresh and crunchy on the Greek Salad, side of tzatziki just right. The venue offers indoor/outdoor dining and is suitable for large groups. For bigger appetites, Kaden recommends the Lamb (chops or braised shank) - absolutely worth a return trip!

The service was great. Waiter was super attentive and even offered us rose water with ginger, which was so new to us. I was definitely intrigued. The food was delicious and presentation was beautiful. The restaurant was very clean and spacious. I also tried the falafel, pistachio baklava and the baklava ice cream, which I didn't photograph. Everything I ate was amazing. I will definitely be going back next time I'm in town again. Thanks for the hospitality! The food was truly authentic!

Delicious food, especially the chicken lettuce wraps!! Great overall service as we went just before the dinner rush, and the background music was perfect volume. This place has come a long way and of the few halal options in this part of Texas. Highly recommend a visit!

The food was excellent. We had the gyro platter, which was huge. My husband and I both got one, but we easily could've shared. We also got the chicken Shawarma hummus that was the best I've tried. Our server was Brooke, and she did a fantastic job of explaining all the dishes and all the extras that weren't on the menu. I wish we lived closer because we would eat here often.

The food was delicious, service was friendly, and the ambience was perfect for date night. It was dimly lit, jazzy music, and beautiful turkish mosaic lamps! I had the butter chicken and it was way better than store bought! The chicken was tender and delicious, the sauce was spiced to perfection, and the rice was fragrant. I made the mistake of not getting their homemade ginger ale because I don't like store bought ginger ale; BIG MISTAKE!!! Their ginger ale is sweet like a lemon-lime soda, but the ginger adds a unique complexity you wouldn't get from a normal soda. Freshly made naan was served to our table and I overstuffed myself on the hummus appetizer. Will definitely come here again AND recommend to friends!

The food is excellent as is the service. We've never had a bad meal right down to the tea. I've never been a fan of lamb but their lamb dishes are terrific. The service has always been terrific and extremely helpful and friendly.

Friendly, efficient service, great food and beautiful ambiance. For lunch I had hummus/tabouli with pitas and butter chicken. Plenty to take home for another meal. Enjoyed the experience very much.

I am happy to report that Ginger Cafe has returned and is better than ever. My family went for lunch and the service was excellent and they were very patient with our requests to taste sauces before committing to the order. Our server was great and we look forward to returning for more great food.

My wife and I stopped in during an impromptu visit from San Antonio. AMAZING!!! It was so good we came back two days later. The lamb shank, heaven help me!!! Soooo tender and seasoned to perfection!!! The owner came out and introduced himself. Forgive me, I waited entirely too long to post this review so names escape me. He was so nice! And he mentioned his wife's truck that serves açaí bowls. This was Easter weekend and we haven't stopped talking about those bowls since!!!! We're definitely heading back for both soon!!!

This was excellent it never misses and Eddie greeted us with a smile that could brighten any day. But the food...top tier. Had the lamb shank and my son the lamb steak and I'm telling you, it's a delicacy. Definitely will return.

This place has the best curry in town. I have tried every Indian restaurant that has come and gone and nothing has come close. The staff is very polite and attentive. The ambience is pleasant. They do not have a liquor license, apparently though.

I had wrote the original review after not having been to Ginger in a while. Unfortunately I may have to eat my words. After a visit today, 8/6, we left annoyed and unsatisfied. To start, the service was not up to parr. Two/three servers that look like they barely made it out of training running around without really doing anything. We ordered our usual hummus shawarma and were waiting for quite a while, only for the appetizer to be brought out with four small pieces of naan. Four triangles smaller than a regular tortilla chip. My husband asked for more and they brought 4 more pieces. The order usually comes with crispy pita, and when we asked about it we were told they were out. That would've been nice to know initially. Overall, the food was still great, the service just really dampened the whole experience.

As always, our food was delicious! They have added new menu items, and our server, Eddie, helped us with recommendations. The Mediterranean Chicken Marsala is full of flavor! A definite must!

Great food! Tonight I ordered the Beef Shwarma Platter. I'm normally a "Steak & Potatoes" guy, but the seasonings & preparation of this meal was fantastic & worth getting frequently. Service was great: server Brook was welcoming, conversive, & knowledgeable of their meals & specials. Ambiance was okay, getting somewhat loud as the evening progressed. Highly recommend this fine establishment.

hostess was very nice. she had many tables but remained kind, accurate, and speedy. her + chef were very knowledgeable of their menu and provided great recommendations. i enjoyed the music; very classy. nice decor. food was extremely good. my bf was speechless which is so rare (lol). i had the lamb chops and they were very tender and had lots of flavor. i usually go for the carbs first but i devoured everything else first - it was soooo good. will be back soon x

We stopped in today to pick up a take out order on the fly. The staff is courteous and helpful. The atmosphere is peaceful and pleasant. And the food is excellent. My family is vegetarian - and there are plenty of options to enjoy. We look forward to returning. Thank you!

The food was phenomenal! Services was awesome, they are so friendly. We had the Kibbeh and Hummus for appetizers, Shawarma Combo and Falafel for the main course, and the Turkish Coffee, Kunafa, and Baklava for dessert. It was all delicious even took an order of Hummus to go!

Very good food, also very friendly - cooked steak a little more upon request, which came out perfectly the second time. Good Turkish coffee and several options for me on a Mediterranean diet.

The food was pretty good, 7/10 on the vegan options. However, we saw a roach during out meal and when I asked the server about comping the bill, she didn't. Very disappointing

The food was delicious but the customer service was terrible. Upon being seated our waiter made his way over to our table, no greeting was made and no questions were asked regarding the menu. Our whole meal we were basically ignored except for us having to wave him down for more water. Mind you the other waiters were very attentive to their tables. While nearing the end of our meal my husband paid at the front desk and while having small talk with the woman checking him out she informs him our waiter is the manager! When leaving the restaurant we are followed out by said waiter out to the parking lot asking if we had paid the tab. Should he had been attentive he would've known the tab was paid. I am very disappointed by how this was handled especially coming from the manager.

Best Mediterranean restaurant in Corpus, hands down. I have literally never been dissatisfied. Diverse menu that even includes some Indian flare. Atmosphere is super cozy and inviting, and service has been consistently good too. Do not come here in a hurry - everything is made fresh from scratch so you should be willing to wait accordingly.

Another hidden gem of Corpus. We honestly love this place. The service is great. The food is delicious, flavorful, and authentic. Been coming here for years and now that we moved, I had to stop by for a visit. I honestly never complain about prices because in my mind, you're going out to eat to a small business, not a chain so don't expect the prices to be low. Especially when the quality is perfect! Not that they were high. It's just my way of seeing things. You get a decent portion size and may have leftovers. But that day I did not. Lol! I was so hungry and excited of being back. Food-amazing masala, curry, kibbeh and tabbouleh. Service: AMAZING our server Laura brought us examples of the sauces so we could pick, made fresh ginger ale and the owner shared with us the best way to eat kibbeh! Ambiance: delightful, warm, loving atmosphere, like being in the owner's kitchen. Come to find out he's the youngest brother of 3 and is running the place by himself now while his brothers have assumed responsibility for other restaurants. What a gifted family!

My wife and I were visiting Corpus Christi, and found the Ginger Cafe on Yelp. We went here because they seemed to get very good reviews here. Regrettably, our food was arguably THE WORST Mediterranean food I've ever eaten. We ordered a Greek salad, an appetizer plate, and a Sharma plate. All of this was to go. When I got home and unwrapped the food, it was nearly impossible to distinguish the Greek Salad from the Sharma plate. I expect whichever inept kitchen oaf was preparing the order made up two Sharma plates, realized his error, then threw some feta cheese , and greens on top and closed the box. The meat was all chopped into pea size pieces and tasted like it had been sitting on a steam table for weeks. Likewise, their was no difference between the Taziki sauce and the Greek salad dressing. Did I mention the whole wheat pita bread that had the consistency of cardboard and tasted like recycled paper towels? Oh , lest I forget , the appetizer plate! Here we were give tabouli that was rancid , amateur hummus with no tahini and scarce trace of lemon, canned stuffed grape leaves, baba ganoush and falafel that tasted like it had also been made some days before , and could have easily doubled as a fishing weight. I hate wasting this much time writing a review for a truly awful restaurant, but I felt an overwhelming need to set the record straight.

This was our first time visiting this restaurant. Decided to try it out because of the reviews. Asked the young waitress what was a popular dish to try. She explained she was new but she would go get the manager. Several minutes went by and a lady comes out (not the manager) to explain the menu. But while she was doing that the manger comes out and is greeting the other guests but never acknowledged us the entire time we were there. We were the only African Americans in the restaurant. I ordered the chicken shawarma platter the food had good flavor but was semi warm and the salad came out at the same time as the meal. Don't think I will go back to a place where I didn't feel welcomed.

i am blown away by how good this restaurant is!! The menu is super diverse and lots of good choices which made ordering difficult haha The service here is also amazing, they help box and bag everything for you and are truly so kind and attentive. I ended up getting the butter chicken and a combo plate appetizer. The combo platter was so-so (6/10) for me but i really loved the hummus. The butter chicken on the other hand was a 10/10 for me. SO amazing. Definitely would come back

Friendly staff and large dining area. I had the mixed combination and my husband a huge Greek salad both Delicious and authentic flavors !! Such big servings we had to take some home . Really a nice first visit and our server yesh was so nice and helpful . If. You like Ginger the drink was definitely tasty either way fresh ginger pieces .

First time eating here & their food is great. The staff gave us excellent service & made my husband and I feel welcome.
