If you're a dessert lover, you must visit Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates!! This delightful shop offers an incredible array of handcrafted chocolates, cookies, and treats that are simply divine. The moment you step in, you're greeted by a heavenly aroma that alone is worth the visit. Great customer service.

The salted caramel ice cream macaroon was delicious. Will have to return to try more items.

Easily one of the best chocolates in Northern California, hands down! You also MUST try their hot Chocolate drinks, absolutely delicious and rich, right amount of sweetness, and you can not get enough so make sure you order the larger size. Parking isn't easy, but not terrible. There are lots of great choices on custom and many flavors of top-notch chocolates and drinks, making this a must for chocolate lovers. They also have some great macaroons and merchandise.

Such a sweet treat! The chocolates here are handcrafted with such richness in flavor that they make your taste buds go wild. The drinks, especially the hot chocolate, are intense and packed with flavor, thanks to the high-quality chocolate used. My personal favorite is the almond bars—they're simply divine. The ambiance is equally delightful, with a cute, pink-themed décor that adds to the charm, and the cleanliness is impeccable. If you're a gourmet chocolate fan, this is definitely a place you don't want to miss.

Food: 3.5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Overall: Some very done pastries which were pretty standard fare. The extended review... Desserts: S'mores Croissant - 3.5/5 - It was a good seasonal croissant. I'm a super fan of s'mores and this definitely was up my Alley. It was a very dolled up croissant which I can appreciate. Strawberry Almond Croissant - 3.5/5 - Good flavor on this but the strawberry didn't read so much. Service: 4/5 - Friendly and attentive staff Ambiance: 4/5 - A very cute shop but all grab and go.

Truly excellent cupcakes. Grabbed salted caramel and another flavor for a bday hangout and both were tasty. Moist cake and rich frosting.

First time coming here. Parking is a bit challenging. It’s a bit hidden since it’s in a multi business building, it’s the first business on your right as soon as you walk in. However once in, the place is cute and neat. Nice pink in and out the business. They also carry interesting items such as boxes of chocolates, jam, coffee bar soaps. They also make the pastries there, so the pastries are fresh. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The line went quick since they have multiple employees, which is awesome. They do have indoor dining and outdoor too. I ordered 1 latte coffee, 1 oaxacan spice hot chocolate and 2 pastries = $26. Overall delicious pastries not to sweet, which I enjoy. The hot chocolate was very unique in flavor, it was a bit sweet but enjoyed the blend. The coffee was very delicious felt the caffeine immediately. Overall great place, highly recommend.

My husband loves dark chocolate. He also has a late August birthday; I wasn't sure about ordering him chocolates by mail in the summer heat. Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates very carefully cold-packed a box of chocolates, and they arrived in perfect condition via UPS. Thank you, Ginger Elizabeth, for your amazingly wonderful chocolates and the care you provided to ship them.

Yelp
Absolutely the best macarons I've simply ever had. Worth the parking stress to grab a couple for the road. It's located in the downtown area of Sacramento and it's a small little shop, you might miss it a couple of tries but once you spot it, you'll be back for more. They have a couple people who help grab all the goodies you want and bag them up in super pretty wrapping and or bags. I typically get the vanilla and pistachio as the basic, always available flavors but my absolute favorite holiday flavor is the peppermint. If you're able to give that a try, I recommend at least 10!

Yelp
Came for a sweet treat after lunch and got some macarons. The macarons I tried: Vietnamese coffee caramel Pumpkin spice Apple pie Salted caramel All were delicious but my favorite is still their salted caramel. Their macaron shells are perfect and they nailed those flavors down.

Yelp
Finally made some time to visit this weekend after I had a taste of their salted caramel ice cream macaron years ago! I had no idea they had such a large variety of sweets. I ended up trying their salted caramel affogato and some macarons instead (and so I can come back a second time for the ice cream). They are definitely on the sweeter side, or I am just not a fan of affogato I guess. The macarons were great in small bites to savor the flavor. I loved the light crunch of the outer shells and then the soft filling. The girls were super sweet and offered complimentary samples of their Madagascar (?) chocolate when I first came in, and gave me a run down of what they offer! Interior was cute and had plenty of seating inside the shop, outside in the hallway, and even outdoors. This was a great place to stop by while going around midtown, especially after walking around in the heat at the Midtown Farmer's Market.

Yelp
A very cutely decorated place. I bought the half dozen chocolate. It was hard to pick out which ones to get because they all sounded yummy. The chocolates are on the pricey side for the small chocolates. The ones I picked were all very good. I also got their hot chocolate, absolutely amazing.

Yelp
Had to come try their pistachio Dubai chocolate sundae and wow wow wow!! I stopped by on a Thursday before noon and there was no line -- score! The staff member who helped me was very pleasant and nice. She answered all my questions and was very patient while I decided. Ultimately I decided on just the sundae. It took about 2 minutes and wow, what a beauty! The ice cream was creamy and perfectly sweet. They were pretty generous with the pistachio shredded filo dough concoction and the crushed chocolate crumbs added the perfect texture and crunch. Surprisingly, I think the highlight was their whipped cream -- fluffy and definitely housemade. The cherry on top was a very nice touch. Although I love the indoor seating vibes, I took a seat outside and enjoyed in the sun alone -- it was delightful. Been here about 30+ times for various other items and Ginger always maintains its quality and amazing service.

Yelp
The best macaron ice cream sandwiches! Also love their macarons, hot chocolates, beautiful and delicious chocolates, house made marshmallows, and cookies. Such a cute shop and great service.

Yelp
I've been going here a lot lately since I've been doing the 2 good 2 go bags. I also come here for the chocolate chip cookie. So far, I've received the following from the bags: -cookies -tiramisu -chocolate -ice cream sandwiches Everything has been good so far. The tiramisu still tasted great, the cookies are one of my favorites and the ice cream sandwiches always hits the spot. Costumer service is always great and workers are friendly and ready to help. They have seating inside the restaurant, in the small room right outside the shop, and outside seating (this may actually be for the bar next door), but it's a cute place with great items. It is a bit pricey, so if you want to try the food, get the bags and you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
#1. JUST AN FYI Trying to find parking is a nightmare in this area."that's just a comment and has nothing to do with their chocolates or the service" The service here is fantastic, they give you a free sample when you walk in. The chocolates are even better! I asked the lady behind the counter which are their best selling chocolates? She had a puzzled look on her face then pointed out 6 of them "so I got all 6. After eating them I realized why the puzzled look on her face. They are all fantastic! Seriously these are next level chocolates. I even liked the 2 that were milk chocolate and I HATE milk chocolate. Overall if I had to pick my favorite it would have to be the milk chocolate hazelnut "yes I actually said milk chocolate" my 2nd favorite is the dark chocolate butter milk lime. Their packaging here is super fancy "just like the chocolate" but honestly for $3 per chocolate I felt the price point was on the steep side.

Yelp
The raspberry matcha cake was nothing that stood out. The cake itself was pretty dry however my boyfriend got the Salted Caramel Chocolate which was very good. The establishment is tucked away in an ally. We're from LA and to be fair if our friends didn't tell us we probably would've missed the place. The customer service was nice as well, they do have to much seating area.

Yelp
This was our first time coming to the new location, and we were delighted by all the treats that were available. There was a nice selection of chocolate truffles, of course, which were exceptional as always. We also couldn't resist getting the box of caramels and have already eaten 3 or 4 - so far, the salty caramel is my favorite flavor. The really exciting thing about this location, especially in the summer, is the frozen treats on offer. My daughter got the s'more frozen macaron sandwich, which was intense - a bit too intense for me since I do love chocolate but am not a huge fan of chocolate flavored cakes, cookies, or ice cream. I got the Dubai bar soft serve sundae, which was absolutely delicious - imo, the combination of chocolate, pistachios, and crunchy bits really can't be beat. The vanilla soft serve provided a nice contrast to all the toppings. Can't comment on the cherry since my daughter stole it. The indoor decor is very pink. They have a small seating area indoors with some additional seating outside the shop but still inside the shopping complex. Don't leave Sacramento without paying a visit here!

Yelp
Nothing compares to Ginger! FOOD: I LOVE the chocolate chip cookies!!! I often come and buy enough to last me a few days. When I was pregnant with both kids I would crave them in my sleep. lol But seriously, this place is TOP TIER. You can not go wrong with anything here, the chocolate, cookies, macarons and OMG I just had the Dubai egg...I nearly fell out when I took a bite. AMAZING!!! SERVICE: Everyone is always extremely nice and friendly. AMBIANCE: The decor is so cute, the brown and pink theme is perfect. The place is always clean and inviting! OVERALL, will I be back? Omg YESSSSSS!!!! Ginger is apart of my weekly routine. Hehe

Yelp
100/10 best place ever! Fresh! Amazing! You can get any flavor and you can not go wrong. My lovely friend brought me here when we came to visit and she said she ALWAYS has to come here, so of course we stopped by. And literally 100/10 I wanted to eat everything in there lol The employees were so personable. The establishment is so cute. They have a few chairs inside the line to order is a tad awkward bc of the space right in front I felt like people were too close but I survived lol. The presentation is 10/10 and I will 100% be going back here!

Yelp
Amazing baked goods and chocolate. I alway enjoy the chocolate from Ginger Elizabeth. Today I bought some chocolate chip cookies and it was amazing. It's moist and soft just how I enjoy my cookies. I also got some macarons and it's just the perfect size and sweetness. The staffs were patients and knowledgeable. They have recommendations as needed. The store is neat and clean. Definitely will go back and enjoy their coffee in the seating area.

Yelp
Macaroon sandwich ice cream is my latest favorite dessert and it's not easy to find in town and that's what led me to Ginger Elizabeth chocolates. However I wished that they had more than couple of options for macaroon sandwich ice-creams. We tried their almond rocher which was good but isn't amongst the top few from the ones I have tried. We also tried the soft serve macaroons which I think is ok. Also they close at 9PM sharp ( including weekends). The interiors are cozy and cheerful. They also serve varieties of macaroons and chocolates. Definitely worth trying once.

Yelp
I've been a fan of Ginger Elizabeth chocolates for as long as I can remember. The chocolates here are high quality and I love that the ingredients they use are locally sourced. I love going in and getting one of their macaron ice cream sandwiches, a chocolate chip cookie, and the brown sugar creme brûlée chocolate. I would recommend anything caramel. Love the flavors and variety in the caramel collection, the salty caramel ice cream sandwich, the opera cake sandwich. And of course who could forget about the hot chocolate. I buy the tins and marshmallows to make it at home! Truly the best. The staff is super attentive and I always know I'm going to enjoy my visit.

Yelp
I've written multiple reviews on her original L st store but I didn't realize I never wrote a review for this location. I miss the L st store for nostalgic reasons, but I frequent this store often because I'm a huge fan of just about everything Ginger makes. I recommend going to her ice cream socials as well as jam day. I was gifted her advent calendar this year and it was fabulous. Her hot chocolate is not to be missed either. Some of my favorite items include: -Macarons of course (Salted caramel, Almond vanilla, Peppermint) -Cookies (especially the chocolate chip) -Housemade marshmallows -Pot de creme -Macaron ice cream sandwiches -Frozen hot chocolate Service is always on point even when the line is long. Metered parking is available in front. Ginger Elizabeth is a Sacramento staple.

Yelp
Time update my review since Ginger Elizabeth has changed since my last one. Now the shop no longer has pastries but, now sells things like cupcakes, cookies, brownies, slices of loaf styled cake etc. It's more dessert centered. It still has chocolates, macarons, and chocolate bars. Anything you buy here is delicious and the best. I'm personally not a huge fan of macarons but, the ones made here are the best I've had. The hot chocolate is rich, decadent, and special. They make their own marshmallows and whipped cream to top off the hot chocolate. You can also add an espresso shot to your hot chocolate for an additional charge. My go to is the Oaxacan spice hot chocolate which, tastes like Mexican hot chocolate but, more decadent. Now they have soft serve ice cream which is awesome. It's rich and creamy. The flavors have been rotating to one new flavor each month so far. But usually the vanilla and chocolate have been available along with the rotating flavor each month. There's an occasional sundae special too with the rotating flavor which is posted on their IG page if one happens that month. I just tried the coffee hazelnut brown sugar chocolate bar and it was to die for. It wasn't bitter at all or overpowered with the coffee flavor. It was smooth and delicious. Their ice cream macaron sandwiches are now available year round instead of just during the summer. The macaron ice cream sandwiches are amazing. Their customer service here is always great, attentive, and friendly.

Yelp
Located across the hall from Ro Sham Beaux wine bar. I returned to Ginger Elizabeth for their current seasonal flavors and my sweet tooth ran wild. In one sitting (with two friends as witnesses): a cup of frozen peppermint hot chocolate soft serve, one salty caramel cupcake, one gingersnap macaron (LOVE), one peppermint macaron (OK), also a bite of their gingersnap cookie (yum), and finished off with about half of a peppermint hot chocolate drink (vanilla marshmallow, chocolate pearls, hold the whipped cream). Why did I even bother with a box and a bag? The soft serve was not too minty for me, but that's just me. I'm a sucker for salty caramel anything by Ginger, and the chocolate cupcake delivered. The gingersnap macaron was the best, and I somehow missed the other seasonal macaron flavor, apple cobbler. The just-peppermint macaron was just okay. The actual ginger cookie was bigger than my hand, and just-right chewiness with the molasses. The hot peppermint hot chocolate drink was also the perfect seasonal holiday sip! Pretty much had everything but a macaron ice cream sandwich and chocolate bar! This is a nice stop for gifts as well (macarons, chocolate squares/bars, hot cocoa powder tins).

Yelp
okay what is not to love about Ginger Elizabeth?! We came in to get chocolate chip cookies, we left with cookies, cupcakes, and the salted caramel macaron ice cream sandwich!! Everything is so good!! I like this location. It's one long room, but it has enough space that you can see all the delicious baked goods. I liked that they offered samples of their ice cream sandwich, which resulted in us buying one!! ( marketing totally worked! ) There is some seating outside, and it was nice to just chill and eat there for a little bit.

Yelp
Ready to get chocolate wasted? Well that's what you may be in store for with Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates' case full of scrumptious macarons and chocolate infused menu. This little shop located in a shared space is frequented by many locals and visitors. It is not uncommon to see a line forming out the door for their goodies inside, and parking can be a bit tricky since there is only street parking available. There are usually spots just down the block around the corner but be prepared to put your eagle eyes on for those free parking spaces. Ginger Elizabeth hosts an abundance of sweet treats but by far it seems the patrons go for a mad dash on their freshly made macarons and hot chocolate drinks. They do also have gift boxes of their chocolates, hot chocolate mix, and other treats. Their glass case of macarons is clearly labeled with all of their flavors and if you're just looking for a taste, they do sell them individually (with small individual boxes to carry the precious cargo in). I, personally, am not a huge fan of macarons but I can tell they're carefully crafted to not only taste delicious but look beautiful before they're nibbled up. In addition to their macarons, they have freshly made cookies and cold treats including soft serve and frozen macarons. If we had more time here, we would have definitely given them a try but we will have to bookmark them for another visit! We primarily came for the hot chocolate drinks and they were as good as we expected! That pure chocolate richness coating your tastebuds as you attempt to pinpoint the different attributes and flavors is such an amazing experience, from the first sip to the last. The smallest size is perfect for one to enjoy but not be too indulged as to feel sweetened out; although if you're planning to share, perhaps a size up might be more appropriate. Sipping chocolate - elegance, decadence, richness and boldness all packed into an 8 oz cup is what you need to get if it's your first time here. If you're a hot chocolate fan, prepare to be enlightened. Mocha peppermint - delicious chocolate kicked up a notch with some good old fashioned espresso. Topped with some crunchy chocolate pearls and whip cream, you got yourself a taste of winter! Rose - very fragrant and has a nice sweet aroma and taste. Pairs well with the chocolate but not my personal favorite. Overall, if you're in the mood to get pampered or looking for the right gift from Sac Town for a chocolate lover, Ginger Elizabeth is where you need to go. The hot chocolates will warm your socks off and their desserts will have you coming back for more. The price point is certainly higher than most but won't find anything as good as this in this area. The staff are lovely and the space is quite clean - perfect for simply enjoying that hot cup of cocoa!

Yelp
Overall? This place is a hidden gem. Tucked away in an unassuming storefront, stepping inside feels like you've somehow wandered into the Bellagio, minus the slot machines and overpriced cocktails. The service was stellar, and the desert was perfection. Its not cheap but worth the expense Here's what we had: Peppermint macaron (5/5): This little guy was a holiday miracle. Crisp shell, chewy inside, and just the right level of minty, like a festive party in your mouth, minus the awkward conversations. We would happily come back to sample more flavors Vanilla soft serve (5/5): Generously portioned and topped with mini macarons. The ice cream itself was pure buttery bliss. Rich, creamy, and paired beautifully with the espresso we ordered. Definitely a treat yourself moment Decaf espresso (5/5): Decaf can be hit or miss, but this was a total hit. Smooth, well-balanced, and not even a hint of that burnt, sad coffee taste you get at some places. The perfect complement to dessert

Yelp
Ginger Elizabeth is still by far my favorite bakery/chocolatier in the sacramento area. I can tell the owner puts so much love and thought into all the things they have, and source their chocolates and other products ethically and locally. However, occasionally they have inconsistencies-today for example i was able to try their pumpkin cheesecake macaron sandwich which I was super excited about-but sadly disappointed :') as you can see in the photos, the icecream inside was pretty freezer burnt-either that or just something about the texture was off because it was gummy and not from the mix ins, it genuinely did not taste like ice cream. When I got them too they were not melted either thanks to the ice pack so it wasnt from refreezing on my part. really weird because I've gotten them before and they were perfect! Usually I can ignore the price as again they make stuff in such an ethical way, but I was let down by the quality. I really hope it was just a fluke, bummer because I was looking forward to this new flavor!

Yelp
I love this place!! Great service, wonderful chocolates, and the macaroons are always fresh when I go... some of the best macaroons I've had in Sacramento, I just wish that had more flavors.

Yelp
I love this place. Great place for a date night winter, spring or fall! The staff is very friendly! I haven't been for a while, but I do recommend their pistachios ice cream sandwich. Perfect during the summer! Will definitely go this summer!

Yelp
I've never heard of Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates, but my wife has! She said, "oh we are so close! We have to go!" Cute little store decorated in pink! Sipping Chocolate 8oz: 70% bittersweet chocolate. Served with house-made marshmallows (4/5). Decadently sweet and richly chocolately thick. Pot de Creme: Bittersweet Chocolate Custard, baked sour cream, cocoa nibble cream (4/5). Light, creamy. My wife wished it had a bit more chocolate flavor. Otherwise, it was good. Vietnamese Coffee Macaroon - I am not a macaroon expert, but this was so good. Crisp outside, chewy inside, and the flavor was delicious. Wow! Chocolate Chip Cookie - crisp outside and chocolate in every bite. The customer service was nice, polite, and helpful! We asked for a sample of their soft serve icecream. The seasonal flavor was Pumpkin. Wow, this was good! I am glad we stopped in. Also glad I don't live here otherwise, I'd be here everyday! Come check them out! Support your local business!

Yelp
The Dubai ice cream was superb! I've tried other Dubai chocolate and ice cream spots and I personally don't like Dubai chocolate because it is too sweet for me. This spot makes everything from scratch and it's perfect. I'd return for their Dubai ice cream again. Their oatmeal cookie - IM DROOLING just thinking of it. My favorite!

Yelp
Love GE. Everything, literally everything is amazing! Chocolates and chocolate bars, macarons, baked goods, hot chocolate and everything else, just love them all. You literally cannot go wrong here. Been a customer of GE since she had the location on L Street. As always the service/staff is just amazing.

Yelp
I stopped here after dinner for something sweet. My buddy, who lives in the area, suggested we try this place. We arrived late, and it looked like most of the pastries were gone. Nevertheless, we found something we liked, including a delicious hot chocolate. I would love to return when the shelves are full. BB

Yelp
For those who have been around for a while Ginger Elizabeth is back to focusing on chocolates and many of the baked items are gone. They still have macarons, chocolates, cookies, ice cream and coffee/hot chocolate and some special items. On our latest visit I opted for the 8oz Rose Petal Hot Chocolate ($6.50) that is 53% semi sweet chocolate and hand-candied rose petals. It was rich and flavorful and the 8oz was just the right amount- super indulgent. They have tables available inside the shop as well as outside and it's a perfect date spot or place to pick up presents. The staff is always super friendly and stopping in is easy with the street parking available nearby. You can also check out their website to order online and ship items. You can also check out their social media pages for specials.

Yelp
Great chocolates and cookies. Service is good, but tends to get busy. Street parking. Pretty decor.

Yelp
Ginger Elizabeth is one of Sacramento's premier chocolatiers utilizing local ingredients and crafting fine desserts. They serve a variety of sweets including, chocolates, drinks, macarons, and jams. They recently grew to even more fame being named home to one the country's best hot chocolate! The staff at Ginger Elizabeth are friendly and will usually offer a sample of chocolate if you are browsing. Some of my favorites include the brown butter chocolate and caramelized milk and coffee. If you're looking for delectable chocolates or other sweet treat, check out Ginger Elizabeth!

Yelp
One of my favorite dessert places in Sac! Always make a stop since their original L St location opened whenever I visit. Beautiful chocolates, desserts, and macarons. The packaging is gorgeous and gift worthy. The holiday macarons are always delicious and I especially enjoyed the gingersnap and apple cobbler this visit but the stand out was definitely the Vietnamese coffee caramel. The kid's hot chocolate is a temperature fit for littles and Dubs Jr. enjoyed the homemade marshmallows that topped it. My cappuccino with their homemade Oaxacan spice syrup hit the spot and I love that they have milk alternatives available. Love that the new location has seating inside and outside available. Great place to relax and enjoy a treat and definitely don't forget to take some home!

Yelp
The first time I tried Ginger Elizabeth truffles I was blown away by their quality. Ginger Elizabeths is a phenomenal chocolate couture boutique that you must visit in Sacramento. Her famous fudge, truffles and macarons were created to give you an experience. You feel euphoric as the flavors and texture intensify with every bite. It's surprisingly fresh, you taste the sweetness of organic fruits, decadent chocolates and just can't get enough.. Today we came in for frozen macaron sandwiches which are a superior summer treat. These macarons are pure perfection, crisp and chewy with the perfect outer texture. As we enter her trendy boutique with adorable pink decor, the employees immediately greet us. We glance up at the menu on the wall to see the frozen sandwich selections and each were premade and pre wrapped for easy ordering and faster eating. I chose a dipped Rocky Road frozen macaron sandwich, 70% bittersweet chocolate soft serve, chocolate macarons, candied almonds, home made marshmallow and chocolate pearls are exceptional. I continue to enjoy all my gifted chocolate truffles from loved ones. If you want to try something or gift something fabulous, don't hesitate to stop by.

Yelp
Since beginning of this year, Ginger Elizabeth no longer makes breakfast pastries to focus more on chocolate and macarons. Of course I am sad that she is no longer serving her delicious breakfast pastries, but other things are absolutely wonderful too. Recently she added soft serve for the summer. We got the swirl with vanilla and seasonal flavor-chocolate. It is creamy, rich and perfect for summer!! The wafer macarons are such nice touch. They are cute and delicious!! I also tried the California whiskey flight chocolate collection. All four whiskeys are perfectly paired with her exquisite handcrafted chocolate. You taste the alcohol but it not in your face because the chocolate compliments them. Service is friendly as always! All the wonderful staff offer spot on recommendations and are so good at their craft! Love this place!

Yelp
Beautiful chocolates and macarons! They have more on the menu like hot chocolate but I was able to try some macarons from the Too Good To Go app! I love a place that tries to limit food waste! The worker was also incredibly nice and answered all of my questions. I wish I got his name. But the service was amazing and quick. The macaron was flavorful and light. They also have unique flavors like Vietnamese coffee caramel!! I should have tried it but with this quick experience I will definitely come back.

Yelp
After having drinks at Ink Eats & Drinks (please reference my review if interested), one of our friends suggested that we check out the cookies at Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates. Since we both share a mutual love for sweets, I couldn't say no! Upon entering the establishment we were warmly greeted by an employee behind the cash register. I placed an order for one Brown Butter Oatmeal Cookie and my wife ordered the Petit Gateau brownie. Since we were first timers, the employee offered us each a macaroon of our choice (we both selected the absolutely delicious raspberry macaroon). The next morning we decided to pair our treats with a cup of coffee as we watched a Sunday sermon. Unfortunately, my wife found the Petit Gateau to be dry. However, this probably occurred because we purchased it ten minutes before closing. On the bright side, my Brown Butter Oatmeal Cookie was the perfect pairing with my cup of Jane. I must have had a look of pure bliss as I devoured the cookie, because my wife asked for a piece (she is not a huge fan of sweets). Since I'm trying to watch my waistline and do not live in close proximity, I can't say that I'm going to make a return visit anytime soon. However, if you're a lover of all things sweet, I would recommend visiting Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates.

Yelp
Such a cute little cafe and bakery. The decor and even the dishes were pink and adorable. We came here for a little treat and got the almond cake and a steamer. They have tons of baked goods and chocolates. Definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
The absolute best hot chocolate in town! I got the classic with all the toppings (marshmallow and whip cream) and it was perfect! The best sweet treat to cap off the day. The staff were so nice and friendly. The inside is very pink and cute . You must try during the winter season ! They also offer espresso drinks, baked goods and chocolate!

Yelp
Tried to simply remove my original review after reading about what former staff online have said about how they're treated while working there but Yelp wouldn't let me remove it. While the desserts weren't bad, they are pricey for what you get and I simply refuse to come back after hearing about their working conditions.

Yelp
The service was perfect. They offer you a sample of chocolate. I actually wanted to have a bite of everything behind the glass because it looked so good. I ended up with a salted caramel cake with butter cream and it was delicious. You can eat it there or take it to go either option I think is wonderful. Would I be back yes but it's like a treat I wouldn't go all the time. So good tho so good. It gave me Paris vibes.

Yelp
We are so fortunate in Sacramento to have this internationally renowned chocolate shop. Today I tried her new items for Easter season and they were all incredible. Favorite was the cookies and cream macaron ice cream sandwich. The buttercream inside is to die for. Give me just a scoop of that, please! Also I highly recommend the new peanut and chocolate covered pretzel cookie. The decor here is so charming and festive and refreshing and inviting. My favorite thing is the homemade marshmallows though. Have fun!

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in Sacramento! Everything they do, they do well! From chocolates to macarons to baked goods and now soft serve, their goods are handcrafted and delicious. I love their space in Midtown that makes it easy to browse products from their cases and grab a table from one of their indoor seating areas or the patio. Service is friendly and staff are happy to recommend items and go over seasonal flavors. I recently visited to try their soft serve and it was some of the best soft serve I've had, plus it was topped with mini waffle cone macarons which made for a cute and tasty presentation! If you have a sweet tooth, Ginger Elizabeth is definitely worth a visit for the quality and variety of items available.

Yelp
The chocolate here is delicious and quite literally just melts in your mouth. I love when Ginger Elizabeth's does special flavors and treats. Still drooling thinking about the Dubai style soft serve, ugh that was divine.

Yelp
I had a review up here before, but it seems to have disappeared so I'm reposting. I've always loved Ginger Elizabeth's. The chocolates are amazing, and the staff has always been warm, helpful, and exceptional every time I visit. However, I recently came across a Reddit thread my sister showed me, and it was really disheartening. According to several posts, the owner does not treat her employees well. As a loyal customer, this deeply saddens me. I choose to support companies who are kind to employees, and sadly this company, alledgedly doesn't seem to be. So here's my review again, not to take away from the fantastic employees who always make the experience special, but in hopes that real changes are made for their sake. They deserve better

Yelp
I've not visited Ginger Elizabeth in many years and am happy the business is still thriving. The decor is fittingly sweet. The variety of chocolates and other goodies is fantastic. Upon entering we were offered a taste of their chocolate chip macadamia cookie- great idea to do this as we ordered a few. The truffles there are not only gorgeous but also rich & absolutely delicious. The staff were all patient & kind. The pricing is a tad high so I am not able to visit as often as I'd love to.

Yelp
Super cute spot and friendly staff. The chocolate was tasty and with creative flavors. My favorite was the peanut butter graham cracker crunch and the walnut shortbread (forgive me--I may have gotten the names wrong). It is a little on the pricey side but would definitely recommend getting a small box of chocolate to give it a try!

Yelp
Keep an eye out for pop up events! I tried the Dubai Bar Sundae today and omg I am so glad I didn't miss this. The pistachio soft serve alone was nutty and delicious. The crispy kataifi pistachio cream and signature chocolate took it to a whole new level.

Yelp
Good place to get gifts in Downtown Sac. I went in to get some macarons for a coworker and they packaged it so well. Nice bag, pink paper, and looks very swanky. I bought 6 macarons for $18. Be forewarned that Sac is pretty hot in the Summer in general so if you do buy stuff from there, you must keep it very cold. Parking is on the street and you might need to walk a bit during mealtimes. Service was good. They spend some time with you answering questions.

Yelp
A friend recommended this place to me because I really like hot chocolate and they did not disappoint. I got the Oaxacan hot chocolate and a ferrero inspired cupcake. Both were pretty incredible. I loved the hot chocolate because it had some extra spice that I really enjoyed. It might not be everyone's cup of tea haha but i really liked it. The other cupcake belonged to my friend so i have no idea how it tastes, except my friend ate it before she could offer me some haha. The workers are actually really friendly too. I wished I asked for the name of the person who worked there, because she let me know I could get both the marshmallow and the whipped cream for free in my drink (awesome!) and she let me and my friends know where we could sit. Super helpful!
