Make the journey to Montserrat and Gingerbread Hill. We passed through last year and took a tour of the buried city with Sunny Lea, who mentioned that his parents have created a haven in Gingerbread Hill. Intrigued, we returned for almost a week, which was not long enough. While we enjoyed the outdoor activities, the tight-knit community is something special. Just mention David and Clover by name, and everyone knows them. We stayed in the Heavenly Suite, which was just delightful - spacious, open, airy, and comfortable, with roof access for 360-degree views and magnificent sunsets and star gazing. Even the kitchen offers views while doing dishes! The pool was a refreshing way to end the day after climbing the hill up from Bunkum Bay Beach. Clover painted two small portraits for me, which I shall treasure. It isn’t easy to ge to Montserrat, but once you are there, you might find it difficult to leave. P.S. the roads are few, windy, and steep, and everyone wants to welcome you to the island, so be sure to build in more time that you think you need. Thank you, Clover, David, and Noah, for welcoming us to your home.
