Where to Day Drink in Montreal | Eater Montreal

"With a swanky but chilled-out café, bar, and eatery that could easily make you forget that it’s technically on a university campus, Ginkgo is a recent addition to Montreal’s bar scene. The interior is sunny and whimsical, with hanging plants and patterns favouring birds and flowers. Dishes and drinks alike are colourful, artistic, and light, matching the tone of the surroundings and making the whole place feel like a tropical garden." - Karin Murray-Bergquist

The restaurant is gorgeous, services was quick and the food was nicely done. We tried the complet which came with a generous plate of salty and sweets, and the demi-demi béné. Eggs were perfectly cooked, the sizes appropriate and everything matches what you would expect. A touch of originality would be needed for the presentation itself but overall very good performance

The food was amazing but I will say the staff seemed a bit snobby because we didn't have a reservation. I personally tipped but my friend did not and she was called out for it. She was told 15% was mandatory, which I understand is an etiquette that we should all share but to shamed for it was not something I was expecting.

Used to love coming here with my friends for brunch a while ago but came back yesterday and was incredibly disappointed. I ordered a similar meal as I did three years ago, and the difference was shocking. The portion size was so much smaller, the presentation was non-existent, and the overall quality of the food declined. Included is a comparison photo from 3 years ago & today. The service was also extremely poor. I ordered a latte and it came almost an hour after with several reminders Sadly was not what it used to be and I wouldn’t come back ://

This place is spacious. Indoor and roofed patio seating outdoors. The food is top as well. I ordered the smoked Salmon Benedict which came with perfectly crunchy in the outside and creamy on the inside potatoes that were seasoned with some lemon pepper spices and an excellent variation of fruits!! Really flavorful, colorful, and delicious.

Visited Ginkgo for brunch on a Sunday morning. Despite not having a reservation, we only waited about 15-20 minutes for a group of five, which wasn’t bad at all. The interior of the place is stunning—truly impressive design. The service added to the experience; the staff were friendly, cracking jokes and making us feel very welcome. We found the menu was mainly in French, which wasn’t an issue for us since we could read it, but it’s something to note if you’re not a French speaker. The smoked salmon omelette was a highlight—stuffed with plenty of salmon, cream cheese, and capers, it was so flavorful that I might even prefer it over a traditional smoked salmon benedict. The Florentine omelette was also excellent, loaded with cheese and spinach, and the portion sizes were just right. The classic smoked salmon benedict was exactly as you’d want it to be, hitting all the right notes. Overall, Ginkgo is a fantastic spot if you’re looking for a cute, upscale place for brunch over the weekend in Montreal. Just be prepared to wait a bit if you don’t have a reservation. I’m definitely looking forward to another visit next time I’m in town!

Google
I would say my experience wasn't very good. It's a bottomless mimosa place, but I didn't like that my drinks were tasteless and seemed watered down. The food wasn't bad, and I liked the atmosphere and the high ceilings. Maybe one day I’ll give it a try again and hopefully they change their way of serving drinks.

Came here for breakfast. There's construction outside so a little hard to get in. Place was not populated, was about 8:30am. Was greeted by a beautiful hostess. Had one of the egg packages with sausage, ham, bread, potatoes and crepes. Pretty good deal to be honest.

Google
Was pretty excited to come here but was let down by the quality. My friends and I came here for brunch. We got the bottomless mimosas for $30 per person. Was a bit disappointed because each refill we got was less strong than the one we got before. On our 3rd refill, the mimosas just tasted like orange juice. Definitely recommend getting the smoked salmon benedict over the meat lover benedict. As it was just felt like random meats all put together. Personally I would say this is a pretty average brunch spot, definitely think there are better ones.

Yelp
Perfect brunch spot in Montreal! Service was quick & excellent. I ordered the Demi Demi and it did not disappoint.

Yelp
It took us 30 minutes to get a coffee. The staff seemed fairly unorganized as we were served by 4 different people. When my latte finally arrived it was barely warm. The eggs were also cold, obviously sitting out for a little while. They were blasting house music, although the crowd was largely made up of families, including some babies. And to top it off there were flies everywhere... probably wheeling garbage through the middle of the restaurant did not help.

Yelp
My friend made reservations in advanced as it is a must. A party arrived right before us and we're told they had to wait on a busy looking Saturday morning. It was so busy that even with our reservations, we got seated on the outskirts of the establishment in the connecting hallway. The inside was cute and cozy from what we could gather during the walk through and can only imagine what the second floor was like. For food we ordered their Bene meat lover, Demi Demi, cassolette, Meat lover omelette and finally Strawberry, banana and Nutella crepe. We loved the presentation of everything and also were surprised with the speed everything was brought out. After asking for switching out ingredients, they weren't able to accommodate. We also overheard the next table who had an allergy to gluten struggle to find something on the menu. Even after the conversation, the allergy was not relayed to the kitchen and serves as a strong warning for those with dietary restrictions. Overall, we weren't super impressed with the quality of the food nor the limited ability to change out items as if everything is just coming out of premade containers. Bottomless mimosas sounded like a great deal until we realized it was mostly orange juice. Waitress was nice but some of the other staff seemed annoyed we were still lingering within our 2 hour limited stay.

Yelp
We reserved online for a group of 8 adults and three kids. Reserving online was super easy and quickly a confirmed by the restaurant. Our server Charlotte, was very sweet, kind and efficient. Bottomless mimosa were 25$ and were refilled quicker than most bottomless mimosa resto, it's premixed and a bottom for efficiency. The food came out quickly and was delicious. We were seated half in the resto and half into the UQAM lobby, which is totally fine just whenever anyone uses the random exit door it was freezing. In fairness I don't think that door was allowed to be used but who knows! Super comfy chairs and great decor. The women's bathroom was disgusting and only one stall worked.

Yelp
Having this place on the UQAM campus definitely adds to the fun brunch vibes this spot already has going for it. I had no idea what brunch was when I was in undergrad many, many, ma...ok, perhaps one "many" was enough" but you get what I mean. Being young and trendy, sipping on mimosas and finding all IG photo ops while brunching is such a vibe! Anyway, on to what matters most THE FOOD! My group and I ordered the banana, strawberry and chocolate crepe to share. It was the perfect size for four people. My main dish was the Mediterranean Benedict which was cooked to perfection and included a side of potatoes and fruit. Service was great, with friendly staff. Reservations allowed and recommended! Arriving at 1130 on a Sunday, the wait time was already at about 45-60 minutes. Worth the wait; however, why waste precious brunch time?! Cheers.

Yelp
Ginkgo served some of the freshest food I had in all of Montreal! I cannot understate that enough. I had the Ginkgo Vege and would absolutely order it again. The eggs were cooked perfectly and on the softest bread. It also came with a large portion of fresh fruits (grapefruit, grapes, kiwi, melon) and potatoes. There wasn't a speck of food left on my plate when I was done. Also had the Demi-Demi (half eggs Benedict, half waffle with Nutella, strawberries, and banana). A large portion size, can definitely serve 2. The Chocolat Chuad Espresso was also soooooo good!! I also appreciated the ambiance of this place as well. There are tons of green walls, marble countertops, charming plant chandeliers, and so much natural lighting. Hate to say it, but it is indeed the perfect Instagram spot, haha.

Yelp
Decent place for brunch! Prices are pretty high but that's most brunch places nowadays. The menu has some very nice choices and I'm for sure going to come back and try some more things. My cousin and I visited to have a catch up session and it was great! We sat outside, it was a beautiful day, servers were nice, and it wasn't crowded for a saturday morning. I ordered the plate that comes with mini crepes, bacon, two eggs, fruits, and mini potatoes. I thought the bacon was really good but the mini potatoes quite ordinary. I got a chocolate dip for my crepe which was an extra charge but it was worth it! I got my eggs poached which was a bad decision because without hollandaise sauce it just tastes kinda weird.

Yelp
As a self-proclaimed brunch connoisseur, this place was perfect. Highly recommend the patio in the summertime.

Yelp
Found the perfect Instagram worthy spot for brunch! The service was amazing, the ambiance was set with the decor, and food was delicious! A bit pricey in my opinion for the quantity you get. Quality wise it was great! Absolutely love their eggs benedict and omelette! And obviously can't start of the morning without some delicious coffee which they served! Would definitely come back again once I'm in the area!

Yelp
I went to Ginkgo with a friend on a rainy Saturday morning, we were seated inside (which was still empty given our time of arrival), but as the air conditioning was a little too strong for me, I asked to be seated outside. The terrace is spacious, with tables of different sizes (understand you can come with a group of friends). I ordered the omelette with asparagus, ham and cheese which was very good and not too heavy, it came with potatoes, fruits and a kind of applesauce. My friend who is allergic to gluten ordered a buckwheat crepe with fruits and was happy with her order as well. It was my second time at Ginko and I have to say, that every time the service is on point, quick and efficient and the portions are always generous. And of course, the soothing white of the instagram worthy decor helps to put you in a good mood... I will go back for sure!

Yelp
Always an easy pick when craving brunch near Berri-Uqam. The food is good! Portions aren't very big but if you get more than one menu item you won't really notice. Only downside is that it has always taken a while to get seated despite it being very few people. I don't know if they do takeout and/or delivery at the moment, but definitely give them a try if you're around and want to get a light breakfast!

Yelp
It is an extremely lovely brunch spot, the decorations are just on point and so trendy, the pastel colors made my day! As a tourist who sucks at French, I walked in there expecting there to be English menu, but there was none. We asked the server, and he barely speak any English too and he told my friend who understands French that since it's next to a French university they don't have English menu, I'm sorry but as long as u r not the cafeteria of the university this sounds like BS to me. Also the service is EXTREMELY SLOW, and that same male server was so rude to us after that initial conversation and he literally ignored us, and even after we asked him to bring us the bill he never came back with it. Let's talk about food, after my friend taking forever to translating everything to me, we decided to go with eggs Benedict, I went with meat lover because I'm just into all kinds of meat, I also added spice to the hollandaise sauce, my friend got the demi Demi which is half eggs Benedict half strawberry banana Nutella waffles, isn't this just what heaven is made of??? Their smoothie is kinda disappointing, there are lots of giant chunks of fruits that were not blended all the way thru.

Yelp
A friend recommended this spot for brunch; we arrived right before noon on a Saturday and the place was lively. It's a nicely decorated restaurant with plenty of seating, and centrally located next to UQAM by Berri metro. I ordered the French toast which comes with a choice of meat and an almond milk latte in a bowl. The coffee was great; it was strong and warm and a tad more expensive cause they charged me for the almond milk substitution (we need to change that Montreal!). The meal was okay; it was actually kind of boring. They could have added some fruit to liven it up but nope, a few slices of bread and two sausages. At least it was eatable?! There are a few options for breakfast in this neighborhood so I can't say I'd come again, especially not for the food, but it's a great space to grab a coffee...

Nicole K.

Yelp
Came here for brunch while visiting Montreal for the weekend. Cute little brunch area with great decor. Their menu includes a variety of different food and drink options. We got the crepes, eggs Benedict, omelettes, oatmeal, smoothies, and mimosas. Definitely recommended making a reservation because it was packed on a Saturday morning. Will be coming back here again!

Olivia F.

Yelp
It's literally not that good idk why everyone loves it so much I've been a few times to double check they stop doing bottomless mimosa pretty early like 12 but I always go hungover so no hair of the dog for me also when I was a group one time they sat us in like the mini mall looking UQAM building area zero ambiance out there there should be a free drink when u sit there

Maya Z.

Yelp
Alright vibes, aesthetic was nice. Staff didn't pay much attention to us, even after a spillage. Food was relatively tasty but came out cold. Menu is all in French with no English option.
google avatar

Yelp
So disappointed, the place looks amazing and the atmosphere is very good but the food and service were awful. The bottomless 'mimosas' for a start are at best 60% OJ - I'd much rather pay an extra 10-20$ and actually get a real mimosa then a premixed sparkling juice My girlfriend had the salmon Benedict which was discoloured and left her feeling sick after, I had the meat lovers Benedict and again it was very bland. This was all topped off by service which left our drinks empty more then they were full.

Yelp
My friend and I (both huge brunch-lovers) were planning a weekend trip to Montreal and discovered this place through Instagram. We made reservations online for a Saturday morning (huge plus since brunch places can get busy quite fast and the worst thing is waiting in line with an empty stomach!) We walked in to a beautiful aesthetic - an open space with lots of plants and different tables (high, low, group etc) and were greeted by our lovely server. Their menu has a variety of options, from eggs benedicts, omelettes, french toast, crepes and waffles, so there's definitely something for everyone! My friend and I both ordered the Florentine eggs Benedict, that also came with some amazing hash browns and a fresh bowl of fruit. The only one suggestion that I would make is to tell the customers ahead of time that all of the breakfast platters come with a free drink (like coffee or tea) because that's an awesome bonus that we didn't know about until the bill came! Overall, a fantastic brunch spot with great service, an aesthetic space, and some great food - I would definitely come back again!

Yelp
Went here for brunch, had the eggs florentine and shared a banana chocolate crepe. The crepe definitely was super filling, though was worth buying as a little splurge purchase on top of the eggs florentine. The florentine was great, and I also appreciated the large amount of fresh fruit (compared to the usual one slice of orange / one or two strawberries at other brunch places). The atmosphere and decor is also super cute!

Yelp
Food was great I particularly loved my choice, however my friend did like what she picked. The service was also slow and we didn't get the best customer service experience. But food was okay, from a scale of 1-10 I'll give the half and half 8. Mimosa was also good. I would recommend for fast last minute choice.

Yelp
This place is literally one of my favorite styled location. I loved everything about the inside of this space. It is beautiful. That being said, I had gone for brunch with 2 of my friends. Purposely asked the waitress whether one of their eggs Benedict's was fried chicken, she said yes and brought out this teriyaki styled chicken instead, which did not taste the greatest (to me). One of my friends got the burger which she loved and then my other friend ordered another Benedict which she enjoyed. The drinks were lovely as well. I just can't get over the incorrect order which I couldn't eat at all and the fact that it did take forever to get our dishes and drinks. However, I must say, they comped my meal, which I appreciated and the waitress was very apologetic.
google avatar

Yelp
I'd recommend this place for studying/getting work done as opposed to actual breakfast. The space is luminous and bright, sprinkled with leaf accents reminiscent of the restaurant name. It's evident that there was an immense attention to detail in regards to the restaurant interior. By far, one of the most beautifully decorated restaurants in the city. The food was overall meh. Nothing outstandingly bad or good about the breakfast fare. It's your typical breakfast fare consisting of everything from œufs bénédictines to waffles and pancakes. It's definitely a cute spot, don't expected to be wowed by the food. However, you're in for a treat if you want to stop by for a study break and take a peek at the inside of Gingko.

Yelp
My goodness this place is so good! Not only this restaurant is beautiful but the food is delicious!! We were about 11 people and I don't remember having such a great time a group of people. I mean, a lot of restaurants messes up your orders or the service is terrible. But this place was on point! The drinks are very tasty and they have a great variety for breakfast. I had egg sandwich with french toast with fresh fruits and custard sauce. Wow, that was good! I'm definitely going back to try out something else.
google avatar

Cindy Feng Xin L.

Yelp
The food at Ginkgo is not a forte, but the ability to connect and touch my heart through great service is their forte. Due to delay of delivering me and my friend our meals, which make us late for our UQAM lecture about coronavirus management in late February, Ginkgo offered us free chocolatine and danoise in exchange of the wait time. This is amazing. When they delivered me my burgers, I found them particularly tasty: it must be the taste of joy and friendship! Thank you Ginkgo for the amazing dining experience!
google avatar

Yelp
This is place is nothing but stunning, adorable and very "instagram worthy" BUT that's all that it is. My colleagues and I went decided to work there for the day. Turns out instead of closing with their regular hours at midnight they were closing at 4pm. The least they could have done is write a message on their Facebook or online indicating a change of closing time. As for the food...one of my colleagues order a salmon bagel it looked pasty and a weird pink colour. Someone else ordered eggs Benedict both eggs were completely HARD BOILED! Although they were more than happy to replace the eggs, hard boiled is simply a basic no-no when it comes to eggs Benedict! As for me I ordered the meat lover plate ,comes with potatoes,2eggs,bacon,ham,sausage and apple sauce. The majority was good and filling but the apple sauce was had a tart like flavour, not pleasant. Killed it on the decor but the food needs to be improved tremendously.

Liana G.

Yelp
Super cute resto, a whole vibe! Staff is super nice and atmosphere is really comfortable. Food is amazing, and their Mochaccinos to die for! Price for food and all is reasonable and you'll definitely eat well. 100% recommend!

Yelp
I'm going to need Yelp to have a special "10 stars" option because this place was definitely it and then some! Girls trip in Montreal, 8 am on a Saturday morning and we are hungryyy. Scroll down my Yelp timeline and Ginkgo's is it. We walk in and the place itself is so calming and charmingly decorated. Already like it (sucker for decor). We are early birds so there weren't many people in there which was super fine with us. The waitress was super friendly and explained the menu to us since we didn't understand French (still manageable to make out what items are). My order consists of French toast with strawberries and a side of potatoes (gotta have my sweet and savory). When this deliciousness got delivered in front of my face I went to town. And by this I mean cleared my whole damn plate almost wanted to lick it too. It was so fresh and hit all the right spots that I wanted to come back for lunch dinner and more! The potatoes were made so crisp with a zing of celery (new to me) and the French toast was just to die for. But you know what the cherry on top was? The bill! I couldn't believe the price we paid for this awesomeness of food. I was ready to drop $50 and more that's how good it was. This place just couldn't get any better. I did see that they are open late in the AM, which next time I'm in Montreal I will definitely have to check out what that's all about.

Saman A.

Yelp
L'endroit et magnifique. J'adorais à décoration, les plants, les meuble. Les serveurs étaient gentille et polit. Mais le menus déjeuner n'offrait pas beaucoup de choix.

Barjinder S.

Yelp
Great place to have breakfast with friends! Everything waS on point. My friend got smoothie and did not shut up talking about it! Every item has unique flavor to it. Definitely not disappointing!
google avatar

Yelp
The perfect place to have a bite to eat and a good drink! The music and atmosphere is always so nice And pretty and different!
google avatar

Vicki J.

Yelp
Very good food! I ordered a strawberry mango smoothie that was very good. And I'm not sure what I ordered for my entree (since I can't read French) bc I pulled up pictures of what I wanted and asked my friend to find which one it was.... but I'm attaching a picture of it in case anyone else wants to be like me!!! Everything was delicious and I loved the potato pancake thing under the eggs.

Angelina C.

Yelp
The half and half was a great choice as I got to experience both the sweet and the savory dishes! The food was great but I gave it a 4/5 because there wasn't anything unique about it
google avatar

Sean E.

Yelp
First meal after arriving to Montreal! Great wait staff, patient with us non-French speaking tourists... menu was only in French, which was a small upset (many other locations had both English and French options) Interior atmosphere was modern, appealing and large amounts of natural lighting. Many people, but quiet enough for conversation. - phenomenal espresso - tuna wrap was light yet filling - breakfast omelette 3-4 eggs and hearty. Would go back
google avatar

Julia T.

Yelp
Nicely decorated restaurant on Saint-Catherine in UQAM University. Food is very good and you get so much for what you are paying, prices are very low. I had for breakfast a Poutine; basically breakfast potatoes, cheese curds and hollandaise sauce for only 6$, it's one of their unique item on their menu. Other the other hand, the coffee was not good.. very disappointing, couldn't finish my cup.. Overall experience: totally going to show up there again for another Breakfast Poutine.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing spot and great value! I loved my demi Demi choice and it hit the spot. Service was bare but we didn't need it to be honest. The place is huge. Bathrooms are a bit gross.
google avatar

Jenna D.

Yelp
My friends and I came here for brunch on Sunday and we were not disappointed! We got the bottomless mimosas (not listed on the menu), which are only $22 and by far the best deal we have found in Montréal. The food was tasty and came out quickly. Additionally, it's a really cute environment and very instagrammable. We will definitely be returning!
google avatar

Kevin H.

Yelp
I had a first so-so experience, but they were in a soft opening, which is understandable. Second time over was great and it is definitely a cute spot to check. Service was nice and smiling, but most importantly quick. Finally, the food was delicious. Will be back!
google avatar

Lino C.

Yelp
This place is stunning and looks so promising but unfortunately it's deceiving. They spent so much money on the decor but the food leaves much to be desired. The wine list is disappointing. If this is pub food then say so otherwise it can't be considered anything other than that! The service was amazing, our server was great and accommodating At the end of the day not what we expected and our table of 9 not one of us was happy.

Yelp
The vibe in this place is so gorgeous and chill like everything was just glowy!!! The atmosphere was very warm and the staff were all super friendly :) the interior is really what got me to love it because it's such an instagram worthy place!! The food was delicious; my and my friend we got the florentin egg Benedict which has spinach and cheddar cheese and it was soooo yummy like I'm not a big fan of hollandaise sauce but this one is bomb :) It was served with potatoes which honestly my favourite part but I'm also a big fan of potatoes (tbh who isn't) ahaha but I really think anyone would enjoy the potatoes just because it was flavoured really well :) it was served with fresh as well so u also got your daily dose of vitamins I gave it 4 stars just because it took them a reallllly long time to give us the menu but also they were really busy so one tip is to reserve ahead of time :) Also brunch ends at 3pm and on their website you can reserve time till then but I won't recommend it because at 3 they close the restaurant and prepare for evening so if you do reserve I would say latest go for 2pm :) Overall I had such a great time here even though they took a while to give us the menu, the service right after was super quick and we got our food really quick too! So highly recommend this place if you're looking for a cute brunch place :)
google avatar

Laura A.

Yelp
10/10 for the decor of this place! It's brand new and honestly, it doesn't even compare to what was here before! The Rose blush velvet seats are awesome and the plants make it an exotic place to eat. As for the menu, I had the veggie burger which was deliiiiiiicous! Honestly, I was filled and super happy with my food choice. The cocktail, on the other hand, was not even finished. (and I never leave drinks behind usually). I'm obsessed with watermelon drinks but this one was suuuuuper sour and not what I was expecting at all. Other than that, great place and cool staff.

Yelp
Yummy food & quick service. Inside decor is super cool. Bottomless mimosas was a plus :)

Yelp
Was visiting Montreal for NYE with a group of 5 girls. We wanted to do brunch one day and found this place on yelp. It seemed right up our alley with bottomless mimosas and it looked adorable. Definitely lived up to our expectations and was probably our favorite part of our trip. We did the bottomless which was 20$/person for drinks and they did a great job of bringing you them throughout the meal. Really great menu as well, we had a hard time picking. I had the chorizo Benedict which was great and we got one of the sweet waffles to share for the table. The place was sooo cute as well; very "instagram friendly", we ended up being "those girl" and taking a ton of cute pics! Our server was great, most of the menu was in French and since none of us spoke French she helped explain everything and then even gave us recommendations for things to do in the city! Highly recommend!

Shirley M.

Yelp
Such a cute place! And the food is really good! I have already recommended to my friends

Reema T.

Yelp
Great place for a group for brunch. They offer bottomless mimosas for $20 on the weekends. Service was a little slow, but they were very friendly and accommodating. The Portuguese chicken sandwich was good, as well as their nutella crepes.

Terina Y.

Yelp
Came here on a saturday around noon. The place was packed but we only had to wait 10mins to get a table for two people. I had their strawberry smoothie and their mix berries pancakes. It was DELICIOUS! Nice decoration/ambiance. Totally recommand this place :) N.B: better make a reservation if you are a large group.

Yelp
Average brunch spot with subpar coffee. Location and ambience are great but no menu option that's out of the ordinary

Yelp
I have mixed feelings about this place. When I went in there was no one there to greet me at the front so I just ended up seating myself. Many waiters just passed by me and I had flag down one of them to get their attention and ask them to bring me a menu. Upon receiving the menu I realized it's all in French (I'm visiting for Ontario) and so I asked for an English menu and was told "use google translate" - not impressed. Anyways, I used my grade 9 French skills to piece out certain items on the menu and placed an order. Food came promptly and was really good. I ordered a strawberry milkshake which came before my breakfast so I was able to sip on it while waiting. My main course was a bagel with salmon and fruit on the side. I was impressed by the serving size, especially the fruit on the side. The quality of the food almost made up for the service. I would go here again just because the food was good but I hope the customer service is improved for next time.

Yelp
This place is beautiful and very attractive. As we walked in, I immediately thought of a similar restaurant in New York called "NOMO" and that is what brought me to Ginkgo today. However, I must admit that the experience was not at all the same as the similar restaurant in new york. To begin, there was no wait and there was seating available, but it took someone about 8 minutes to notice that we were waiting to be seated. As we were seated, we had a look at the menu and they had lots of brunch options to choose from. Ordering was pretty easy, the horror came after. It took at least 35 minutes to recieve our food (we were only two). When we got our food, we asked for ketchup and our toasts and we had to wait at least another 5 minutes. The food was already cold and we couldn't enjoy the experience. As it went on, I never got any refills of my coffee or asked if we wanted more toast (they only gave us two pieces). The food was nothing special or memorable at all. No one ever came back to see how we were doing and we had to ask the waitress for the bill. She never came back knowing we asked for the bill and we had to get up ourselves and wait for her by her counter. She would come back to her cash but didn't pull out our bill. She would just go on and serve her customers. After another 5 minutes, she finally got us the bill. Let's just say she got a crappy tip from us because since the beggining, she looked like she hated working there. For decor and music I give them 5 stars, but for service i'll give them 1 star and food 3 stars. Would I come back? Probably just for the decor, but not expecting much more.

Yelp
We came here for a birthday brunch. It was terrible. I got a rotten grape (with literal black mold) in my eggs and fruit plate. The chef didn't even bother replacing the fruit that was in contact with the mold, just the single moldy grape vine. We asked for a simple substitution of ham for bacon for a benedict dish, and it was denied. The toast was soggy. Minor point, granted. Service was slow and clumsy. Our bills were mixed up and had to be redone several times. All this on a calm, third full restaurant. It would have been worth it if the food was good, but it didn't surpass the quality of a divey greasy spoon. It was not worth the near 20$ per head. But hey, at least the decor was bright and pretty.
