"Gino’s Bottega is located just north of Mid-Beach, where food options are usually bleak and overpriced. Luckily, Gino’s is neither of those things. This is a really solid casual Italian option. There's nothing too special about the narrow dining room, but the food here is very good. Start with the soft poached egg alla carbonara—a bowl of egg yolk, parmesan, and crispy diced pork cheek you get to scoop up with pieces of bread. Then, take your pick from any of the reliably tasty pasta dishes. They make a perfectly cheesy cacio e pepe, a hearty slab of creamy lasagna, and other dishes that are so much more enjoyable than the overpriced resort food that surrounds this place." - Ryan Pfeffer

This restaurant offers a delightful dining experience in a cozy and welcoming setting. The service stands out, particularly Sofi, who goes out of her way to make your visit special. The food is exceptional, bursting with authentic Italian flavors that will leave you impressed. Highly recommended!

Google
This is an incredible restaurant. The food is wonderful. I spend 3 months a year in Italy and this is as authentic as I’ve seen. I’m so happy to write this review. Do not miss this opportunity in Miami. Our server Sophia was so happy to tell us about each and every dish. The owner was the chef.

Recently had a client refer me to this hidden gem. Everything was spectacular. The wine list is so well curated to pair with menu offerings. Can’t wait to try the entire menu.

I ate here with my friends. the food was very good, I only took some pictures of my meals. Our waiter was sofia, a smiling and helpful girl, the service was very good.

Google
Great food and exceptional service, server sophia made our stay extra special. I specially recommend melanzane with pesto and cacio e pepe. A must if you are looking for good italian restaurants in miami!

Google
I recently ate at GINO Bottega in Miami Beach and was disgusted to find a sneaky 20% service charge tacked onto my bill. Nobody mentioned this rip-off, and it's listed on the menu in super small lettering. The food was decent, but the service was terrible because they didn’t mention the 20% service charge. Now they expect a tip on top of this outrageous fee? No way. I’m never coming back, and I suggest everyone else avoid this place unless you like getting ripped off.

On this trip, I visited many restaurants but truly this was the best food in Miami. This place had the perfect ambiance with the chefs cooking in front of you. Also, the staff was extremely attentive. This restaurant truly makes you feel at home. Each dish was absolutely divine. I highly recommend coming here for any occasion. This will be the highlight of your trip to Miami.

Yelp
Great food in a cozy ambience and with a very kind service , convenient located at Collins Avenue.

Yelp
This is by far one of the best restaurants I've ever dined in. The chef needs to be put on currency. Our waitress, Sofia, was incredible. Her recommendations, attentiveness, and smile made our experience perfect. It's not the fanciest looking place, and you can drive 50 blocks south to have half the food at twice the price, but you'd be a moron if you did. Can't recommend enough.

Yelp
This small restaurant is so charming and the food was amazing. I am so very happy I came in. It was in walking distance from the hotel I was staying at. So the customers are very much either tourists or locals. It has tables all along the side of the restaurant and a little bar one can sit, as well as some outdoor seating. I was dining alone and decided the bar was right for me. From there I was able to see them preparing my food as they have an open kitchen. The servers were very kind and accommodating. I was given fresh bread and was recommended a nice Pinot noir. I paired it with the Spaghetti Carbonara. The pasta dish was perfectly al dente and the sauce was creamy without being too heavy. The little pieces of pork were toasted and added such a nice flavor to the overall dish.

Yelp
I love almost everything on the menus at Gino's--except the steak. Staff is superb and so is the wine list of unknown wines. A wonderful experience, except for the steak.

Liz R.

Yelp
What a local gem in North Beach! I love that it's tucked away on Collins Ave. The staff welcome you like family and are always attentive. The decor is modern and classy too. Once you're settled into your chairs they will bring you delicious bread! We started with the Ovetto Alla Carbonara which is to die for!! I dream about it. It's a poached egg over crispy guanciale and a creamy sauce. They will give you more bread to dip in it. Then we got our mains which was the tartare and the mushroom ravioli. I definitely liked the ravioli better than the tartare. We were so filled that we couldn't have dessert bht would love to try next time!

Gavin D.

Yelp
Went to this location twice. One extremely weird fee was an added tip for the staff. So they expect a tip and then they put a mandatory tip on the bill. What is this in Vegas and a bunch of stupid extra fees. Pay your damn employees enough money so you don't have to have an extra fee on there on the bill. I've never seen that type of extra tip already built-in, especially for one or two people. So basically there was like a 30% tip. Absolutely ridiculous.

Yelp
Great find. Fantastic Italian Chef cooking the best pasta I've had since I was in the Amalfi Coast. So much love and care go in to each dish. When was the last time you had your tomatoes peeled?! I wish we could have given it six stars! We started off with the eggplant Parmesan and caprese (with peeled tomatoes!) and finished with the ribeye and cacio Pepe. Absolutely incredible! Service is great too! Thank you team Ginos!

Candace M.

Yelp
Fabulous food. I felt like I was in a real Italian eatery. The food was five stars! Compliments to the chef, the waiter was on top of his game, best service I ever had in any restaurant. I totally recommend and it's worth the money.

Chris A.

Yelp
Wow. I cannot say enough. Lovely family run place and the food reflects the care. Great experience!!

Tim J.

Yelp
Frankly it's the best Italian we've had in the area. Service is just exceptional. Hospitality of Emilio and others here are second to none! Update: this has become our absolute most visited favorite restaurant to eat at. Emilio and staff treat us like family, the fresh food, wine and service is just perfect. Highly recommended.

Jay B.

Yelp
I couldn't believe how fresh the food was. We walked in about 30 minutes before they closed on a Friday night and the service was very attentive to us. Sometimes when you walk into a place before they close the employees hate it because they have to service you until after close. Fortunately they we're staying late anyways for big party event they were having the next day. We were able to watch them prepare a 10lb fresh octopus . If they weren't closing we would've ordered more. It was very nice place.

Melinda R.

Yelp
Food, Service, Ambiance was excellent, romantic, cozy - you feel like you're in Italy and when they speak Italian you know it's a real Italian experience

Yelp
We came back this year again with great anticipation, well me anyway. Not disappointed in both of our two visits this week. This place is distinctly un Miami in casual welcoming way. Great pasta, simple dishes done consistently well. This place takes pride in their food and it shows, only criticism would be our server was slightly inexperienced but nice and attentive. Love it.

Rachel R.

Yelp
Excellent food! Menu isn't big but VERY well designed to cover Italian classics and authentic gems. Service was very friendly and attentive, as well as knowledgeable of menu items and Italian cuisine.

Garrett G.

Yelp
Delicious food and as authentic as you can get outside of Italy!!! Would definitely recommend if you are craving Italian cuisine in Miami Beach

Elisa A.

Yelp
Loved the food!! The place was small, but I can't get over my meal:) I had the cacophony de pepe.

Yelp
I came across this cool little spot when my original dinner plans fell through, but I must that this was proof positive of everything happening for a reason since Gino's was a wonderful find! I was in North Beach with a friend and I was fiending Italian (aka my usual cheat meal). Tucked away into a little storefront on Collins Ave I've driven by who knows how many times, off we went. The low key entrance and lack of signage - other than string lights - gives it very much a speakeasy or private dinner club vibe. The menu isn't over broad like my usual red sauce place but more like an artisan, focusing on a few yummy plates. Their caprese salad opened this wonderful culinary experience. But this is not your usual slices of mozzarella and beefsteak tomatoes. This is a perfectly tart yellow tomato paste, an olive oil drizzle, and tomatoes red, green & yellow. Of course, there's mozz as well as straciatella as well as basil leaf garnish. Bravo! My main course - ordered based on another review - was their lasagna. Picture & savor layers of al dente pasta, with melted mozzarella, juicy bolognese and bechamel on a tasty plate - in my case augmented with their homemade tomato sauce - and you have a dish that's flavorful while being healthy. Add some nibbles of their deconstructed mango cheesecake, with the tart sweetness of real mango and crispy graham crust, and you have a quality Italian meal. Service was attentive the whole evening, whether checking on our plates or on recommendations. The full bodied chianti was delicious too! Remember the comment on speakeasy? Having been out of the clubs for a whole year due to the you know what, I'm not good with faces but based on conversation I believe the folks sitting next to us were some famous, local edm producers. We even chatted about original locations for a rave, similar to how Paul Oakenfold had in the Great Wall of China!

Nina C.

Yelp
Cute hole in the wall with great food and great service. The fried pizza was unique and highly recommend

Jay B.

Yelp
The food was good and the owner very nice. When I got my bill I about fell out of my chair. One small glass of wine and an appetizer sized pizza and bottle of water came to $38! There's some funky Add ons on the bill. 2% for something I don't know what and a 20% "service charge" and still a place to add a tip. I would have tipped 20% anyway, but I don't like having that decision made for me.

Elise O.

Yelp
Fabulous ambiance, food and service! Such a hidden gem! Great authentic Italian food.

Rebecca W.

Yelp
Small and quaint place on Collins Ave. we tried to call in a take out order on Saturday night and the kitchen was too busy to take orders so we decided to actually go there for dinner on Sunday. The place wasn't too busy, we were the only ones sitting outside (breezy & cool night). The lasagna was large and very good. The spaghetti was good although I prefer it cooked more than al dente. "Extra Bread" was on the menu for $5 - but we didn't get any bread to begin with... not sure if it's because they were both pasta dishes or why? I'm not complaining as I wouldn't have eaten all the lasagna if I had bread to snack on first. The waiter was very nice. He'd been working all day as we saw him setting up the tables outside before they opened earlier that day.

Howard L.

Yelp
Good local Italian in the mid-Beach. Always reliable, friendly, lively place. Pizza, buratta, pastas and more!

Corinne S.

Yelp
This is one the best restaurants in which I have eaten. I felt like I was back in Italy. I ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara and it was beyond delicious. The service and hospitality was first rate. It is true gem.

Jerry R.

Yelp
The food is OK I went there to have some pasta for the first time. I ordered a water a glass of wine. I had a pasta and a dessert when I got my bill I was shocked to see it was $72. The place is fair with a very fair atmosphere. I would suggest finding other Italian restaurants with more atmosphere if you are gonna pay this kind of price.

Julia A.

Yelp
We found this excellent restaraunt by chance. The food was amazing and it was also the best Italian food we'd ever eaten. Amos, our server for the night that handled every aspect of the restaurant, assisted us with everything from our appetizer, dinner, wine choice and our desert. He helped us hit a home run for dinner that night. His knowledge of every food and wine item on the menu and was incredible. The ambiance and relaxed dining was 5 star. Amos's funny and lighthearted conversation made our dinner experience even more enjoyable. FYI, if we were able to give 6 stars we would.

Yousi F.

Yelp
The Osso Buco Ravioli and white lasagna are so darn good! I ordered take out and was so impressed!

Elayne L.

Yelp
If you blink you'll pass right by this little Italian restaurant in North Beach. Super hip and modern, you're in for a wonderful epicurean meal. I knew it had to be good because there were always nicely dressed people sitting on the Collins Ave patio. And yep. My instinct was spot on. The eggplant appetizer was just delightful. The presentation of a full eggplant sliced down the middle and baked with Parmesan and marinara was really beautiful and delicious. My branzino entree was grilled to perfection. Served alongside shaved fennel and a dollop of pepper purée. I would definitely order this again! Also worth noting is the fresh warm bread served in a small paper bag. Although they don't bake it on the spot, it's a wonderful earthy sourdough wheat loaf. The selection of wines is purely Italian and authentically compliments the menu. If you're in NoBe and want a memorable Italian meal, this is the spot!

Lizzett S.

Yelp
If you are looking for authentic Italian food, Gino's is the place to go. Last night we had the most delicious dinner and experience. Customer service was phenomenal. The entire experience reminded me of Italy. We ordered 4 appetizers because we couldn't make up our mind, and they did not disappoint. I had the Osso Buco Ravioli and the Mango Cheesecake for dessert. If you are looking for great wine, delicious food, good atmosphere, and excellent customer service, I highly recommend Gino's.

Sherry C.

Yelp
The special dish shrimp pasta is so good. Price is very reasonable too. Service is perfect. Both my husband and I enjoyed it. Highly recommended.

Anthony H.

Yelp
Excellent pasta very authentic - nice flavor dessert - atmosphere OK - very Italian - had the Amatriciana and Tiramisu

Dave W.

Yelp
Excellent Italian food in Miami Beach. We got the osso bucco, branzino, and porcini ravioli. Everything was delicious.Carlo, our waiter recommended some great wine as well.

Jenna B.

Yelp
Great service and amazing food! Our waiter was awesome, he recommended great food and was very friendly.

Becky L.

Yelp
A bit overpriced relative to what was offered, as The portions were small. Note there is 19% gratuity automatically added to bill (which they didn't tell us).

Rand M.

Yelp
The food is better than most places in the area. Though, if you've been working hard all day and looking for a good size meal to replace your calorie expenditure, I'd go somewhere else. "Sneaky" bottle of water for 5 bucks each didn't sit well, not to mention a hefty "service charge".

Aaron O.

Yelp
Authentic Italian Food! I just had what I believe is the best lasagna I have ever had. My wife had the ravioli - phenomenal. This restaurant reminds me of the type of restaurant you would find in a town/city in Europe. What they lack in size they make up in great food, authentic drinks (I had a Menabrea Blonde beer), and great service. Giuseppe was my server - thank you! Employees had proper PPE and cleanliness was apparent for anyone with concerns.

John W.

Yelp
Had high expectations after reading reviews. My wife's mushroom ravioli was very good! Wish I could say the same about my spaghetti carbonara. It was so salty I only could eat half, and I was hungry. I'll chalk it up to a bad choice for my dinner.

Kristina N.

Yelp
Living in the neighborhood, we wanted to try this local spot out. We had high hopes, the service was meh, the food was not good and it was severely over priced with minuscule portions as well. The best thing was the toasted bread basket. Would not come again.

Vivian F.

Yelp
Great small neighborhood Italian restaurant. The pasta is fresh and wonderful. We sat outside. It was a beautiful cool night. The osso buco ravioli was great. And the white lasagna was special as well. Great place to dine!

Lisette H.

Yelp
Amazing food. Some of the best pasta you will find on Miami Beach! We always order the Bolognese and the carbonara pasta. Both are outstanding. Have also tried the Cacio e Pepe and it's delicious. Highly recommend.

Max W.

Yelp
I highly recommend this authentic boutique restaurant. The food was all made so fresh as we ordered it with some of the best authentic ingredients. Then it was explained to us and served by Gino him self. And he was able to recommend the perfect Italian wine to go along with it.

Anna C.

Yelp
Wow this is a hidden gem in Miami. Hospitality, ambiance, and food is all top notch. Everything was beyond our expectations. We had the pesto pasta, the mushroom ravioli and could not resist the tiramisu and chocolate mousse. You can tell everything is handmade in the open kitchen. Do not skip over this place!

Caryl L.

Yelp
Not at all impressed. Beware you are charged $5 for a bottle of water which was just a bottle refilled with tap water. They put on a "service charge" which was for the "restaurant". Then they want extra as a tip for the server. They have no alcohol except for wine. We both had the lasagna which was fairly good it was only lukewarm in the middle. It didn't come with any sides or even a dinner salad. Would not return. Lesson learned. I understand now why we were the only ones in the restaurant.

Tatiana S.

Yelp
This has become a go to place for me. The staff have already become accustomed to where I will sit and what I will likely order. From time to time, I venture trying something new. The result is always the same, delicious consistency. When you're hungry and looking for something satisfying and savory, look no further.

Cyrus P.

Yelp
Authentically Italian at every angle. Gino's is Carbone's much smoother brother. The food here gives Carbone in NYC a solid run for its money. It's a smaller, less complex menu, yet the execution of its dishes is pure finesse. Consistent, delicious and warm service. A MUST try in Miami Beach.

Bradley A.

Yelp
North Beach area. The caprese salad was more like a mesh of ingredients--which sounds bad, but it wasn't. As other reviewers have said, it was unlike any other caprese salad you've ever had and a delightful surprise. The ravioli stuffed with ossobuco was also yummy. But the carbonera was disappointing and so was the fact that there was no remedy for us leaving it 90% uneaten (I am not saying you should comp the entire entrée, but perhaps the owner could send out a 1/2 an order of something else he had cooked for someone else or a small dessert--just something to let you know that he cares about the customer who buys a $20+ entrée that he leaves uneaten in the dish. Our server--Guiseppe--was a super nice guy. It was a tad expensive compared to South Beach restaurants and so, by the end of the week, we were a bit underwhelmed by what the Yelpers had said this place was supposed to be.

Dani V.

Yelp
This place is amazing. All hand made, and a wonderful staff! Love the environment and vibe. It was amazing Italian food and I loved the entire experience. TRY THE MUSHROOM RAVIOLIS, it's me of my favorite Italian dishes and it's the best I have ever had!

Kristy H.

Yelp
Wandered in to get out of the rain tonight and were blown away by this wonderful place. Friendly, helpful service and fantastic food! We loced the salmon, ossobucco ravioli, and the pizza appetizer. Highly recommend.

Elena S.

Yelp
Authentic Italian restaurant in north Miami Beach! I really suggest this place, I'm Italian and I really feel as in an Italian contemporary restaurant. The food is excellent, warm ambience and great wines!!!
