Gino's of Nesconset

I have been living in the area my entire life and been coming to Gino’s of Nesconset since it opened back in 2008. I just wanted to show my appreciation as the food has always been incredible and on the very rare occasion they got something wrong they always made it right for me. As of writing this review (and I rarely take time to write a review) the staff there are all wonderful and I just can’t say enough good things about this place. Their pies (regular, sicilian, grandma especially!) and heros are all EXCELLENT and always cooked to perfection. Why some people prefer Georgio’s a few stores down truly boggles my mind. Thank you Gino’s for your great food over the years and I really just wanted to show my appreciation as a pizza-loving local. <3

Wish I could give this 0 stars …this is 1 of the slices, small!!! And it’s cut in half, Crust was skinny and HARD as a rock… I’m so disappointed… I’m a single mother and had a few extra dollars and I wasted it on this, for a nice Friday night dinner for my kids.. Never again

Great ppl, very nice once you walk thou the door. They move fast and the food was FIRE alil crunchy but very little oil 🙏 definitely recommend but I will warn alil pricy but worth it.

There's something about a pizzeria named Gino's lol I've enjoyed each one I've visited. I like that this location offers online ordering so you can schedule pick up. They also seem to run a lot of specials. They offer a wide range of specialty slices but their regular pizza doesn't disappoint. The staff has always been friendly and service is quick, even if walking in off the street.

Very underwhelming experience. My wife and I just moved to the area and wanted to try out a local spot. Atmosphere was okay. Clean and well maintained. Wife ordered Pasta Night special. HUGE bowl of soup, which wasn't a negative. Pasta sauce was an unusual flavor, almost too sweet? Not necessarily inedible, just cloyingly sweet. Maybe too much basil or parsley? I just ordered a meatball pizza slice. Crust was stiff and tasted like cardboard, like it had been sitting out for hours. Had better pizza at Chuck e Cheese. Service was meh. Young man didn't seem very interested in giving us much attention, was very short with us. Forgot to hand over the customer receipt. We will try Giorgio's next

I love this place. I've always enjoyed it. But last night I saw something. That was very disturbing to me. After I ordered my pizza and was waiting for it to heat the kid. That put my pizza in the oven went to talk to the guy who makes the pizza. As he's talking to him, he's playing with the shredded. Mozzarella like it was nothing tossing ii in his hands and just playing with it while he was talking. I found that to be unsanitary. He wasn't using it. He was playing with it to occupy himself when he was talking to the guy who makes all the pizzas. I found that to be a little unsanitary

This place was horrible tonight. The slice above is supposed to be a veggie slice. It appears they took chopped up frozen veggies and placed on top of a regular slice without cooking it. The caprese sandwich had drenched with water, raw spinach and broccoli. Pasta was undercooked and missing key ingredients. Never eating here again

I’m being generous with three stars. My family and I were regulars at Gino’s of Nesconset for about six months. The pizza is amazing, and when the chickpea salad is made correctly, it’s absolutely delicious. When it wasn’t busy, they were very accommodating and even let our family of three dine in. However, we experienced a series of issues that ultimately led us to stop going. One time, our salad was missing the chicken. I called and they gave us a credit—mistakes happen. On Super Bowl Sunday, we were told there would be a 45-minute wait, but we ended up waiting an additional 45 minutes after arriving. It was hectic and poorly managed, though I understand big events can be overwhelming. What truly changed things for us was the billing. Our card was charged $10 more than expected. We brought it to their attention the first time and were given a credit. But when it happened again a few weeks later—this time on my dad’s card—we didn’t even bother saying anything. We simply chose not to return. My advice: always check your receipts and bank statements. As much as we enjoyed the food, the repeated billing issues and lack of transparency were deal-breakers.

i'm surprised at their rating because the customer service was great and the pizza and chicken roll were absolutely delicious!! i work in the area and i'll definitely be back.

the food is good and after moving here we always ordered here. The last three times we've ordered the customer service has been been horrible. 1st time i had asked pizza to deliver at a certain time it came an hour early. pizza was cold for the guest. second time we waited almost two hours. the third time we asked for pizza to get delivered at a certain time. after a half hour passed and no pizza .. they never had our order down. to say we can longer order from here is a disappointment. best white slices too.

Best Party Food! This review is much deserved and long overdue.  We have catered MANY parties from GINOS of NESCONSET over 10+ years years and every time our family and guests rave about the food.  From appetizers like rice balls (my Aunt Mary from Queens loves them) and Buffalo spring rolls (my fav) to the salads, pizza, pasta, heros and entrees your family and friends will be thrilled with the delicious food and very, very full, lol.  SO MUCH FOOD!  And the prices are great$$!  We had over 80 people, got the large package so it worked out to like $9/person.  You can't get a crappy fast food meal for that low a price these days. Our family can seriously eat and we had more than enough for the party, the AFTER party (iykyk) and leftovers today so we didn't have to cook, just sit on the couch and recover, lol! This doesn't mean there aren't other amazing places to get food.  There are!  It's just reminding people who live in Nesconset,  Smithtown,  Ronkonkoma that this small family business is right in their backyard making kick-ass food for your epic party. Order your party food from Ginos of Nesconset and ENJOY!

Ginos asked for the food back, that they gave me by mistake, in order to get a refund. Food that was in my house. If that isn't gross. Hope they did not resell it to YOU if you order from there. Talk about inconvenience for their mistake. Plus. what are they doing with that food? Terrible customer service...., and YES I brought the food back.

Cashier was attentive, Pizzeria was clean, and the pizza was great! Especially enjoyed the Pepperoni, sausage, banana peppers slice. Excellent

Had the very unfortunate displeasure of getting pizza from Gino's today. First off the pizza looked very unappealing, like it was reheated numerous times before making it to my plate. The smell reminded me of a wet sock that my dog chewed. I definitely am mad I wasted my money here today. There are a million better places on the island!

The quality of the food is inconsistent. One time it's amazing the next time you order it subpar. If you order to be delivered, be prepared for mistakes in the order about 70% of the time. Everyone at the restaurant is super nice when you call and ask for a replacement, but why are things wrong so frequently? I keep giving them chances to redeem themselves cause their food used to be so good. Now the inconsistency in quality and accuracy makes it not worth the money. I think it's time to find a new go to Italian/pizza place.

When considering the worst pizzeria around, Gino's in Nesconset comes to mind. On one occasion, I ordered a chicken Caesar wrap over the phone for pick-up. Any ordinary person ordering this would expect a standard chicken Caesar wrap. However, that wasn't the case here. What I got was a hot slice of pizza rolled up with three pieces of chicken, Caesar dressing, and cooked lettuce. Typically I wouldn't care about a mix up, but because of how ridiculous this was, I decided to call up and ask if they would exchange it for what I originally ordered. Upon returning it, the entire staff decided to wait at the front to insist that I was the one mistaken about what a chicken Caesar wrap entailed. Instead of just exchanging the food and letting me leave, they felt the need to treat me as if I were a complete moron for even questioning what they gave me. They maintained that this was how it's made and told me that if I ever want to order that again I'd have to specifically say "I'd like a chicken Caesar wrap on a wrap". Seriously? I've even gone ahead and added a photo so you can see how absurd this interaction was for yourself.

Usually the food is ok. This last delivery was horrible. Pizza was burnt and the sausage roll was doughy and undercooked. Was terrible.

Dirty, gross, pizza 3/10. Spent $30 on sh**. Like HOW Attitude from lazy dude up front. Ew ew I need a shower

We order from Ginos all the time. However, this time when we ordered 2 chicken vodka slices, it's very obvious that they just threw chicken with vodka sauce on top of a grandma slice. When I called to ask, they said this is what they do when you order a chicken vodka slice. So, the description is inaccurate.

Well very disappointed with our Grandma Pie what happened here. We ordered and were told 25 minutes to pick up, place was empty pie was cold and needless to say it was terrible. To pay $25.00 for a pie that's not fresh. We have many other places near us that we could have ordered from but always liked the Grandma Pie.

I have only ever ordered take out, convenient for sure. I have tried their deep dish Sicilian, the pepperoni, the cheese pizza and their garlic know. It's good, not my favorite but good. When we moved to the area they gave us a coupon that said - free pizza for pickup or delivery but when we called they said it was only for pickup and they were quite rude. 4 stars for the food and 3 stars for the service...

This is by far my favorite pizza place in the area. I also love the ones in Commack and Kings Park. My go to is the personal pizza, to stay or to go. The cauliflower crust is the best and it's not easy to come across. I usually personalize the pizza and the staff there is more than accommodating when I ask for a million changes. The BEST thing on the menu is the chicken ala vodka. It's essentially chicken parm with vodka sauce instead of red sauce. The chicken is so tender. It's perfectly fried and dredged in the sauce, with melted cheese on top. I suggest getting it with penne on the side, with the vodka sauce. Last thing worth mentioning is their Groupon take out special! It's 49.99 and you get a full pizza, penne ala vodka, salad, chicken parm hero, bottle of wine AND a $10 gift card. Can't beat it.

Can't believe Gino's let me down. As I stated in my previous review, I've been coming here for years, and excepted all the mistakes they've made as any business would. The food is good, and I typically have no complaints there. The reason for this updated review is straight up a customer service/managerial complaint. Went in for sit down dinner with the family and asked about an expired Groupon I purchased a while ago and how I can apply it. Anyone knows that if you have an expired Groupon, it can be used at the establishment for the amount paid for which the amount paid never expires. Gino's refused to honor Groupons terms and policy, and told me that since the Groupon is expired, they can't honor it, even the amount paid. Terrible because this should be an easy one. I bet if Joe the owner was there, he'd do the right thing and this wouldn't have been an issue. I have been coming there for years, such a shame they couldn't rectify something simple. Never had a problem with Groupon, even it the Groupon has expired. I contacted Groupon, and they issued my Groupon bucks back to my account. They stated that Gino's should have honored the amount paid. *Joe, your restaurant is fantastic, usually never a problem. Yes, I did tell the server, who then in turn let the manager know. The server took my phone to look at the Groupon, but still told me I couldn't redeem it for the value paid. I was offered a discount on the bill, but unfortunately didn't cover the amount for the Groupon. I wish I could say there was miscommunication, or some oversight, but I did show your staff the terms and service, and all that I had paid for with the Groupon. Again, to anyone reading the reviews, Gino's is a great local pizza place, and I'll continue going there regardless. Please educate the staff.

Pizza is always good. They have pasta specials. Had a very sweet server named Ella. Will definitely be back.

I did an online order.The first time order was just Ok.Second time I ordered was on Mother's Day. The order was wrong to begin with and the chicken that came with our dinners were like rubber ,not edible .$150 order and couldn't been eaten.It doesn't came with any eating utensils napkins or bread.Your giving the other Gino's a bad rap.

Asked for a custom slice on the spot and they knocked it out of the park! Grandma slice with added vodka and pesto sauce. Will definitely be back for more.

The place dirty when I walked in, counter service couldn't have benn more rude and when I asked for a little extra mozzarella on the side (maybe an ounce or two) they charged me an extra $2.00 for cheese! CHEESE!!!! 2 bucks for cheese???? Will not be coming back when their are 3 other pizzarias in the area. bye Felicia!!!

I'm again annoyed and disappointed that I ordered from here. I'm eating burnt pizza AGAIN for what must be the last five times. I ordered a grandma pie as usual and it was so crispy that the cheese crunched. The taste was there in the sauce but the crust and cheese were ruined from being overcooked. The side crust was black as well as the bottom of the crust in several places. When I arrived to pick up the pizza I even saw them rotating my pizza for at least ten minutes, when it was clearly done already. When they first opened I was thrilled and told family members it the best pizza I've had in a long time. I get that a business can have a busy day or off day, but this has been consistent over the last 5 or so times I have purchased from here. The last several times I ordered I was met with embarrassing pizza. I am incredibly disappointed, and will begin the search for a new pizza place.

Good pizza and hot dishes. They also offer really good packaged meal deals. I got the NFL package this weekend which was 1 regular pie, 2 hot heros of your choice and 18 wings. The wings were super meaty and the mild sauce was very flavorful. The blue cheese that came with it was perfect. Chicken parm heros were good and so was the pie. Definitely will be back. I have also eaten at the Kings Park and Commack locations. All around solid.

I was very disappointed with this pizza place on Saturday night 12/18. I know 6 pm - 7 pm is a busy hour to order takeout, but this place seems to get overwhelmed and their pizzas interestedly become overcooked. You would think that wouldn't happen if you are trying to move the pizzas along. I know that all businesses have trouble staffing these days, but restaurants need to remember that every time something goes out, it's like your calling card. If you can't cut it when it's busy, why patronize at all.I rarely eat out anymore because I feel I can make it better at home. And why spend the money?

Went there on friday with my boyfriend. As we were walking in employee with suspenders on and a hat blew a cloud of smoke into our face, How unprofessional why are the employees smoking weed in front of the store where there are childeren present. i would not recommed this business to my family or friends horrible experience and the food was below average.

Pay attention to reviews! This place has severely gone downhill (maybe change of management??) Received a burnt pizza & weird stares from male workers. Not very friendly. The caucasian male with extremely short, buzzed, dark hair that i've seen throughout the years was glaring at me when I was leaving & getting into my car after picking up my order. Meanwhile we never exchanged two words for him to be watching me intently like that. Super weird/creepy + quality of the food doesn't make up for the service.

This pizzeria is adequate. Only thing I truly enjoyed from my whole meal was the garlic knots but besides that I'm glad I just bought the Groupon because the pizza was nothing special. The penne alla vodka didn't taste really like it should taste so I will never got the penne from there again only Reason this place gets two stars is because of the good Groupon deal and garlic knots.

The absolute worst pizza and stromboli I have ever had. Ordered delivery, when it got here it was cold. The pizza was wet and soggy and seemed under cooked. I heated it up but it made no difference. The tip of the pizza flopped down like a wet rag. The Stromboli was undercooked too. It seemed like they used cornmeal or something in the dough. I had to throw out a whole pie and the Stromboli.

Went for the signature "Piesano" slice over the counter and twice it had raw dough. The cheese on the regular slice smelled old. If they're charging $9 for one specialty slice and reg slice it should be better

I have given the pizza place, three chances and all three times my pizza taste horrible undercooked pay for extra cheese did not get it and pizza was cold. I'll stick to Gino's of Ronkonkoma.

When I went to Gino's it was great. I went on a Monday for pasta night With my family. The ambience was great. I got pasta with a chicken parm hero. The staff there were beyond nice, Ella served us and was so helpful, she was so efficient. I will definitely be coming to Gino's again for pasta night!

I catered food for my daughter's Sweet 16 on January 20, 2024 and the food was AMAZING !!!!!! Everything was just perfect ! The trays were nice and filled and it came very hot ! The service and staff at the restaurant were so nice and the owner Joe was wonderful with helping me pick out dishes for the party. He was very understanding and accommodating !! Highly recommend them for your next party or just to go there to eat !!!! A+A+A+A+

Placed an order for pickup at 1pm, get there at 130, told that it will be ready in a few minutes. Wait almost 30 minutes to find out its sitting on side the entire time. Plus the order wasn't accurate. Waste of time and no offer of any compensation

I went there on Wednesday with my family later in the night, The food was dry and overcooked the bottom of the slices were burnt. The people at the counter were not attentive and it looked like i was bothering them by asking for my slices. If you're gonna charge so much for 5 slices at least make them cooked properly.

This used to be my go to place when I moved into the area 7 years ago. For the first 6 it was consistently good, but in the last year or so it has really gone down. The sauce is very inconsistent... sometimes bland, most times way too sweet, and WAY TOO MUCH! No matter what you order it's bathed in sauce. The portions have gone down and the prices have gone up. I get it, everyone is feeling the crunch. But, if your gonna raise you prices and reduce portions make sure it tastes good! And make sure it's WARM! I'm not that far yet all my orders take greater than 90 minutes and arrive cold. I'm so disappointed! The worst part is they have an item that my daughter loves that no one else has, so I have to keep ordering from here! C'mom Gino's... Get it together.

Big portions!! The personal pizza can be for 2 people! We got a gift card for here, and tried it for the first time. We have ordered from there a few times since then. Sometimes you get a sleepy guy on the phone or a girlie, girl. The drunken rice ball appetizers - you get 3 huge balls! lol! good sauce! I love the pasta figioli! It's more of a gravy base, instead of a tomato base, but still so good! I didn't care for the Chicken Sorrentino, though. The chicken was a little tough. And the melted cheese was in globs. The Penne Pesto Rosso was good, I wish they put extra pesto. There wasn't too much on it. You can eat inside, but there is only about 6 tables.

I was told that Gino's is the best place for Pizza in this surrounding area. Boy was he right. When we first walked in we grabbed a takeout menu and start looking it over. We ordered a pie, half cheese and half pepperoni and we ordered a pie of Grandma's which was delicious. We had a buffalo chicken slice as well. And garlic knots. I must say to my liking the garlic knots was perfect. They wasn't crunchy at all. If you like hard and crunch garlic knots then you won't like these. When walking in it looks like a regular family style restaurant. I never visited the dining area so I can't rate that. We only order pizza so again unfortunately I can't rate the pasta dishes. In regards to pizza we was very satisfied and will return again. My goal is to try the whole menu by the end of the year. So I will be updating this review.

Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse here. They are allowing customers without masks in the restaurant to order. I ended up giving this place another shot out of local convenience. The food was good until one day they messed up my order. I called up and went back to exchange the order. Instead of the staff just apologizing and exchanging my meal, the staff had the audacity to fight with me and laugh in my face after exchanging my order. This place is a complete shit show! Have no clue how its still in business. The customer is always right.

Great pizza, great customer service. Stopped in for lunch & ordered a bunch of slices at the counter. We were told to sit in the nice dining area. They were super nice & kept refilling our waters. If you want a place that doesn't mess up your order go down to Georgios they are a much better place. Been going to Gino's for years and lately they have been messing up orders. Lost a customer will be taking my business elsewhere

The pizzas awesome along with great service and kind staff. Everyone there looks they really care about what goes on in the restaurant which left me feeling good about this Gino's. Can't wait pay this place a visit again. Everyone should definitely plan to stop by here and try their rice balls.

Their sauce for their pizza is DISGUSTING, loaded w sugar. Why the hell do they put so much sugar in the sauce?? Never going there ever again for pizza.

Good pizza. Not great, but good. I had the grandma slice. A bit greasy but not a 6 napkin greasy. A nice hint of garlic and a tasty sauce. A good grab and go place for me. The place is spotless. The guy behind the counter lost his personality somewhere but hey. At $5.90 for the two slices a bit expensive. Worth a try

BEST Pizzeria/Italian restaurant in the area. Highly recommend! Pizza is always fresh and delicious, made with high quality ingredients and all of the food they make in the kitchen is beyond exquisite! Everything/anything is 100% delicious. Tastes like moms home cooking. Personally I think the Vodka sauce is to die for... I am freaking addicted to it. But everything they make is mouth watering delicious. There is some kind of magic that happens in that kitchen that I can't explain. Excellent chef(s)! Some great people that work here too and the place always looks so nice & clean.

This place is a joke. I ordered from the lunch menu. It says pick any two selections. I picked the chicken parm and shrimparm.i get a call from them saying I can't choose to heros.. first it never says that on there menu. Then they tell me to pick another item. So I pick the small pizza. When the order finally gets here 45 min late. It's a half of a hero and two little pieces of pizza . Not anywhere on there website does it say you get half a hero.i was expecting a full hero I got charged 26$ for a half of hero and little pizza. Stay away from this place they are scammers.i will be telling everybody I know never go to this place.

So I really am trying not to be a hater but this place is average to below average at best. Have eaten here 5 times and each time the pizza has been below par. Came a little bit ago and ordered a bbq chicken onion slice and half the pozza was missing the toppings. Rice ball was okay. Regular slice and sicilian left a lot to be desired but at least the sicilian had some good breading. Service from the blonde girl (dont know her name sorry.. think it said Danielle on the recipt but dont wanna confirm) working was on point and the only reason i gave this 3 and not 2 stars.

I stopped by Gino's today for lunch. I had a GRANDMA'S slice it was great!! There was just the right amt. of sauce, The crust was thin & crispy. I only had one Piece which I could have eaten two. The rest Of the day I was craving another piece. So for dinner my husband and I went back To Gino's and we order 2 grandma's pizzas, Rigatoni and cheesecake. What a great dinner!!

This place is a complete joke and Gino's should be ashamed to have their name on it! The guys at work decided to order a pie, at 3 PM on a Tuesday, and because I've had problems with them before, I decided to use the UberEats App and I'm glad I did. The estimate for delivery was 25-40 minutes, a little longer than usual, but this place uses their own drivers, so it takes a little longer, whatever... Our pizza didn't arrive until 90 minutes later, it was ice cold, and all the cheese had slid over to one side! ...and like I said 3 PM on a Tuesday, not a time one would expect they'd be super busy. When I called them for a fifth time to complain, they blamed it on UberEats, saying they make when they get the order. Right... That's why it was cold? This is why I'm glad I used the app, because they gave me my money back, where as the restaurant wouldn't take any responsibility. I am so done with this place!

I give 2 stars because the salads I've tried here really is good. Unfortunately, that's all I can give because of extremely poor customer service/order inaccuracy. I ordered Gino's twice over this weekend because my car was in the shop and was disappointed (and waiting approximately 2 hours to eat on both occasions). Order 1: Ordered two salads and received two spaghetti and meatball meals with another person's name on the receipt. The store took about 40 minutes to deliver the incorrect order and then another 40 minutes to return with the correct order. They asked for the spaghetti meals back, which I gave to them, but I can't help but be made uncomfortable when thinking about if the store was bringing this old food to the person who ordered it originally. Order 2: Ordered two salads - one with grilled chicken and another with salmon. The order took about 35 minutes to arrive but unfortunately I was given one grilled chicken salad with the incorrect dressing and another grilled chicken (instead of salmon) salad with another incorrect dressing. The location took over an hour to deliver the correct salad and still brought the incorrect dressing (despite two calls)! I used my own dressing at home. On both of these occasions, I was not offered a discount, a coupon for future use, or even much of an apology outside of "Sorry we are busy". While I understand that mistakes happen, I am really disappointed that this happened twice in a row and that the establishment made no attempt to make it right, as it was quite the inconvenience to contact the location repeatedly and to hold my weekend plans to wait for another delivery. As much as I absolutely LOVE the salads at Gino's, I don't think I'll be able to return as a customer given how this situation was (or wasn't) handled.

Horrible!!! I don't know how this place stays in business! Cheap cheese, cheap pepperoni, pizza was swimming in grease, I also ordered a personal pizza on a wheat crust, crust was burnt, I asked specifically for SAUTÉED onions , I guess the cook there thinks putting raw onions on a pizza and putting the pizza in the oven the onions sauté themselves. This place is garbage, and honestly the owner should look for another line of business, if they can't handle the volume then get out of the restaurant business. The staff here , cooks , and owner should take a trip to Phil's II pizza in Massapequa and learn something because Phil's II is a real pizzeria, that uses "real" ingredients, and would never serve what this places sent out to my house! So save your money, save a trip (unless your dying of starvation) and go somewhere else!
