Gioia

"Gioia, which translates as “happiness” or “joy” in Italian, comes as a pleasant surprise as it is not easy to find traditionally made pasta (based on a family recipe) of the type made by Piedmontese chef Davide Bonato. The à la carte is complemented by two tasting meus: Tuber, dedicated to the truffle and offering a sensorial and interactive experience based around this prized ingredient; and “¡Vuela!”, which induces a sense of freedom and invites guests on a global journey to explore the flavours of other cultures." - Michelin Inspector

This has become one of my favorite restaurants in Madrid. We chose the menu experience. The dishes were fabulous. also, the waiters were very friendly and attentive to everything. The wait in between the plates was not too long and the portions were not too big so we managed to enjoy all the plates.

This is an Italian-style fusion restaurant featuring a classic interior with a distinctive character. The staff is courteous and provides prompt service. I went for the Menú degustación along with the Maridaje de Vinos, and with some additional drinks, the total came to around 130 EUR. Overall, the dishes were enjoyable, though a few leaned slightly too salty for my taste. As for the wine pairing, it was average—some selections didn’t quite complement the flavors of the courses. If you're a fan of Italian cuisine or looking to explore something different, this spot is worth a visit. However, seating is limited, so making a reservation beforehand is recommended.

A must visit for Italian food lovers that are craving more than just a normal pasta. Its innovative, delicious and with just the right amount of showmanship

Fine dining and next level food presentations. From their welcome-taster (the truffle-cream served on nori? over vapor-cloud of fog) to their speciality: truffle-pasta (they grate cheese and fresh truffle at your table). A mix of visually pleasing and excusite food.

Absolutely love the place. Fantastic outstanding cooking. Really impressive and innovative dishes with a touch of Italian cuisine. Great service, great ambient. Good wine selection. It's not a cheap experience, but definitely worth the money. For the level of cooking and service it's not expensive. Can't wait to go back.

Wonderful experience, clearly on the path for the star, such a pity that the Michelin inspector missed it. I suggest you to try it now. It's always good value for the money trying a restaurant before it gets the star. The truffle menu was delightful.

My italian fav restaurant in the city! 🙌🏾😍 My first visit to Gioia was back in 2018. They have made a long journey now and having the chance of experiencing their evolution has been simply OUTSTANDING. We tried their set menu called “¡Vuela!”. You can find the details on the website. It’s a 72 €/pp (drinks not included) set menu and you have the option to add the drink pairing paying 35 €/pp. Set menu of 8 dishes with loads of flavour and technique. Simply amazing! We really enjoyed every single one. My favourite one was the meat one. They called it ‘Su majestad, el Vitel Tuné’ and they are cubes of Wagyu meat cooked over low heat with a soft mayo of tuna, capers and anchovies with an air of Crodino and Cantábrico’s anchovy powder. It was DELICIOUS. The meat was tender and well cooked. And with this menu you will -of course- try their famous “tallarín al tartufo”. The noodles are homemade and they are made with fresh truffle, egg yolk and Cacio Nerone cheese. EPIC! Do not miss this italian restaurant if you have the opportunity. It’s in the city centre, in Chueca (our gay village) and you will be delighted! 🤩

Yelp
We have been in Madrid for a week and this was not only the best meal we had in Madrid, but one of the best ever. It is located in a cute part of Madrid, Chueca, I believe. We had a bottle of Lambrusco, the pumpkin ravioli, tagliatelle with truffles, the duck, and finished with a tiramisu. We even had a couple of espressos and a grappa. I only list all this because it came to about 150 euros for a Michelin starred restaurant. Amazing experience, amazing meal. Go...the service matched the meal.

Yelp
One of the most outstanding meals we have had. The tagliatelle with sliced truffle was amazing. The panacotta with little beads on mango was equally great. The service was excellent and they helped translate the menu to English. This is a jewal of a restaurant and alternative to the touristy tapas and and bars.
