How ‘Top Chef’ Kristen Kish Bares Her Soul Through Arlo Grey’s Food | Eater Austin

"In Boston, Giorgiana’s serves as Kish’s go-to comfort restaurant—its chicken-lemon rice soup inspired the rice porridge that accompanies her fried chicken at Arlo Grey." - Nadia Chaudhury

Very tasty sandwiches. Ordered from here not too long ago and got a couple sandwiches I thought would be good. Got the Obama Sandwich and the Meatball sandwich. The Obama sandwich was tasty - a bit on the smaller side. 4/5. The meatball sandwich was loaded and doused with sauce- I just wish it was a bit warmer when it arrived. 4/5. Many creative sandwiches to try.

Vazir F.

Google
Quick convenience store that also offers breakfast - pancakes, muffins, coffee and has high stool seating looking out the window at Tremont St

Whatever you do, do NOT order food here. I ordered a chicken parm hero and it was served to me on whole wheat sandwich bread. $16 for this depressing meal- disgusting and insulting.

Giorgiana's is honestly the best place in the South End. I recently moved into the city and have had the best experiences here. I love the food and the workers. They always greet me with a smile and are efficient. The greek salad with grilled chicken is a personal favorite. The Obama is one of the best sandwiches. I have talked about this restaurant to other friends who live in the area and they 100% agree with me. BEST food and best selection of wines and other groceries. The owner is great and passionate about her work. Her employees are so friendly and welcoming. I will continue to come here and spread the word about the best place for food in Boston.

Will L.

Google
Great deli with homecooked meals and a huge selection of side dishes. Convenient place to grab dinner for us when we don't have time to cook. You can get some forgotten grocery items here, too. Small but decent wine and beer selection downstairs. Friendly staff. The beef stew is damn good.

Javier

Google
convenient, friendly, and excellent for sandwiches and take out. who could ask for anything more in a neighborhood store?

Ben H.

Google
Great corner store to have. The staff is friendly, the soups and sandwiches are reasonable and tasty. The grocery and wine selection is ample but on the pricier side which is expected. Would be nice if the credit card limit was lower than $10 but for the quality and convenience it's hard to complain.

Albert C.

Google
I've been in this place a few times for lunch and to pick up a bottle of wine. Above average corner store/deli. Wrong this place goes above and beyond! I stopped in about an hour before closing for a 1lb of sliced turkey. Juan was cleaning the deli slicer but refused to let me come back tomorrow. They earned the 5 stars!

Andres R.

Yelp
The food at Giorgianna's is generally very good. The staff making the sandwiches, cooked meals, and salads are wonderful, accommodating individuals who are nice to speak with. However, the lady owner who works at the cash register has a very negative attitude and is absolutely terrible at customer relations. I go there for lunch (near my office) about twice a week. Today, I went and got a Greek salad with tuna fish. When I went to pay, I stopped to fill out some lottery ticket forms. I handed the forms to the lady owner, she ran them through the machine, and then literally threw them at me and aggressively barked "$22.06". I asked how much the lottery was of that because it had to be paid in cash. She barked "$10.00". What total disregard for a loyal customer. She never smiles - but occasionally will try an inauthentic, tight-teeth smile if there is a child involved. Just a horrible experience for the customer. If it weren't for the lovely staff working in the back to put out good food, I would never go back. The lady owner is a complete turn-off and she should give someone else (who is actually pleasant) the job of working with customers. Really bad, sad experience.

Jennie I.

Yelp
This place is a COMPLETE RIP-OFF. I work very close by and have been astonished these last weeks at how incredibly overpriced every single item is. Also, the woman who works at the front desk is completely rude in answering even the simplest questions.

Ashley C.

Yelp
We arrived before closing and the lady would not open the door. She hid behind the register, and shook her head. She would not open the door. I guess the business does not want to make sales. Very disappointed. She was rude. Will not come back.
google avatar

Tess G.

Yelp
The prepared food is great. The Greek Salad with chicken is almost two meals. I would also recommend the sandwiches, especially the griddled ones. The wine selection has enough variety that you can find anything you're looking for. The beer selection is smaller. And if you're looking at picking up groceries quick, like cheese, milk, etc. I would recommend making sure you look at the expiration dates before. Note: They do not take Amex and have a $10 credit card minimum but there is an ATM in the store. Overall, great neighborhood spot for almost everything!
google avatar

South E.

Yelp
The final straw that broke this camel's back is the 10 cent charge for a small bag and the 20 cent charge for large bag, under the auspice of the recent Boston bag tag (5c). I've been willing to overlook the $10 minimum for debit cards since it's a local business and nice to have in the neighborhood. The staff is super and the deli food is respectable. But, avoid the produce unless its dire. And, be prepared there is a healthy markup for the convenience.
google avatar

Tim N.

Yelp
This is NOT a restaurant. Miscategorized. It's a convenience store and liquor store. How ridiculous that Yelp labels this as a restaurant. It is not even close to being regarded as a restaurant by anyone with an IQ over 50. Ridiculous.
google avatar

Angela B.

Yelp
The Ruben is fantastic!! Don't forget napkins! Baklava was delish! Staff was efficient!
google avatar

Emilia S.

Yelp
The hidden gem about this local convenience/wine store is their deli counter and prepared food. It is fantastic for a meal and may personal favorites are the Obama sandwich, meatballs and breakfast sandwiches. They have other great sandwiches too and the pizza is tasty. Certainly recommend for a meal option. Staff is friendly and like others have said be mindful of the $10 minimum required to use a card.
google avatar

Trin B.

Yelp
Great selection of food and products, however, grossly overpriced. The cooks are nice, front counter lady pretty rude - bring back the girl with the rings and tattoos! She knew what customer service was! The produce is often rotten. Head over to Billy's or Mike & Patty's for amazing sandwiches for a great deal.
google avatar

Jack K.

Yelp
Great place to pick up some provisions, a botte of wine, or a freshly prepared sandwich. Their breakfast is also a hidden gem. Great local market in the South End
google avatar

Jonathan F.

Yelp
Holy cow, that was by far the best spanikopita I ever had. This place is basically a take-out place for Greek food and related informal prepared food. They also sell grocery items, wine, other drinks, etc. After my snack I am eager to try more.

R B.

Yelp
I generally like this place and go often. PLEASE!!!!!! tell the regular female cashier that "Hun", "baby", "darling", "Sweatheart", or anything really but "Sir" or "Mam", are inappropriate terms for your customers! Stop calling me "Hun" or any other term. I'm not your friend, I am your customer. If I say I don't want utensils when asked and that I will take them myself, it probably mean I don't want you or anyone TOUCHING my utensils, so I will take them myself.
google avatar

David D.

Yelp
I think this place just opened like 5 minutes ago. It's kind of like a market, I guess? They have freezers and coolers, and they sell Kashi frozen meals, etc. They also have a full deli and grill and make sammichez, paninis, wraps, soups, salads, kebobs, and many Greek / Mediterranean specialties. I got a sandwich, and it was FUCKING yummy. It could have been cheaper (like Viga), but it was still FUCKING yummy. They also have a complete wine cellar, which is cool, because I H8 that Boston Wine Cellar that's like 2 blocks down Tremont. Also, this place is all about location! It's on the same block as the Eagle (my home away from home). I didn't notice any seating, and the Eagle doesn't open until 5, so don't plan on dining in. L8rz
google avatar

Alison L.

Yelp
The people who work here are super nice!! I got a chicken gyro to go and it was huge and delicious! I also get my wine there- they have a nice selection. If you are ever in a pinch for a staple supply such as sugar or milk, they have a surprisingly large selection. I have been baking and realized I was out of something and just ran down the street to Georgiana's- its great to have a store like that in the neighborhood. Just note those items are considerably pricier than they would be in a standard grocery store.
google avatar

Yelp
Let's do a little South End Mad Libs shall we? You're walking down _____________ (Tree-lined Street full of brownstones). When all of a sudden you get hungry--- No time for a sitdown so you pop into Giorgiana's. You're choosing between ___________ (Type of Sandwich) or ________________ (Top Shelf Brand of Bourbon). Wait--- you should probably grab _________ (Any Number of Delicious Greek or American Prepared Foods) and a ___________ (Beverage of Choice) for later to share with your ________ (Saucy Adjective) Roommate/Pet/Boss. Nothing says _______ (Any Day of the Week) like a great __________ (Wine), a slice of __________(Pastry) and all the __________ (Personal Care Item) you can handle! Oh and you need 6 ___________ (Fruit), a box of _________ (Cleaning Product) and a couple ____________(Beer Brand)-- well you've come to the right place. Are you in need of a Gyro? Wine? Fresh Fruit & Veggies? Paper Towels? Vodka? Deodorant? A quart of Pasta Salad? A box of popsicles? A Diet Coke? Laundry Detergent? It's here. It's good. And it's not that expensive. Crazy convenient for last minute grocery, liquor or household needs- Giorgiana's has saved me on more than one occasion. **Personal aside: They are like the only place around that carries the elusive Cinnamon Toast Pretzel Crisp flavor. Bring non-believers to prove this Bigfoot of the Snack World truly does exist, but be sure to leave me a bag.

Yelp
I love this little market and it's saved me many a time. The fresh produce varies in offerings and freshness. It can be fun if you're looking for inspiration, but not so awesome if you're left wandering the South End looking for a green pepper. (who knew they're so rare) There's plenty of odds and ends needed for almost any meal that seem to span from the basic to the gourmand. And then there's the deli. I have gotten fantastic grape leaves and Israeli couscous. The soups smell fantastic. I once bought some of the best feta I've ever had. Sun dried tomato tofu sausages provide options for the animal friendly consumer. I forget the Greek name for it, but skip the green beans cooked in tomato, it's way too salty to be enjoyable. All the other Greek dishes I've tried from their hot order counter have been fantastic. The meatball sub is super fantastic. (so much so it's getting a paragraph all its own) Seriously, amazing. I crave it. The sub roll they used about a year ago was dry and tasteless - they switched it up and it's now the perfect bread to accompany their perfect balls. They accept credit cards, but request that on small purchases you not use them since they're a small business. For regulars, they'll even set up a credit system for you for times you just need one or two things but don't have the cash. It's truly a neighborhood shop and truly a neighborhood gem.
google avatar

Laura A.

Yelp
I love Giorgiana's! It has a amazing Greek deli counter (their fresh feta is the best), it's open relatively late (until 10 p.m. weekdays), and they have just about everything you need from an indulgent late night snack to kitchen staples. To be clear this is a deli with a surprisingly bountiful wine cellar and a solid stock of fresh, frozen and packaged goods. It should not be compared to a grocery store. It's an ample, family deli with a lot of perks so expect to pay a little more than nearby Foodie's for the convenience. That said, there are some steals. The deli counter is priced very well and you can buy Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate for $1.99 (a seriously good deal - it's cheaper than at Walgreens). And I nearly forgot to mention that the service is fantastic - George is so nice!
google avatar

Arestia R.

Yelp
One evening, my roommate tore into our apartment and said, "Did you know there's a GROCERY store in Giorgiana's?" "What are you talking about?" I replied. "I thought they just had the usual coffee and whatever." "No," she said. "GROCERIES." Turns out, she was right! You can quickly stop in this little market for, well, anything! What I've discovered there is their deli. I pick up a baguette probably every week and normally something else I spot. They have big bowls of rice pudding for take home that I can't resist. Also, great place to pick up grilled vegetables, grape leaves or a pasta salad for dinner or a party. Their soup and sandwiches look A-mazing, too. Also - a wine cellar! Go downstairs for your pick at some great wines. They may not have the best prices in town, but great quality and convenience.

Julie N.

Yelp
I am in love with Giorgiana's. We bought a condo on the same block as Giorgiana's and from the moment I walked in here, I knew I'd be spending most of my weekly paycheck in this beautiful place. Upstairs: Full Greek deli / grocery store. Huge selection of deli meats, prepared food, side dishes, salads, subs, pasta, and specials of the day. We've gotten the meatball sub, eggplant sub, lamb gyro, chicken salad sub, italian sub, bacon egg and cheese on a bagel, breakfast burrito, pizza, kobe burger, uhm... yeah, we've already gotten a LOT of subs from this place in under a month. Every single one of them has been super fresh and absolutely delicious. Shoutout: The chicken salad sub is STUPID GOOD. It's chunky with tarragon and grapes with just the perfect seasoning and consistency. It's better than Al's State Street, better than Nick Varanos deli, better than Lambert's, better than almost every chicken salad sandwich EXCEPT for the Real Deal in JP. Downstairs: FULL LIQUOR STORE. Same prices as the rest of the stores around. Enough said. George and Anna always take a minute to ask how our day is going and they are all smiles. They're an awesome couple. The fact that I can come in with pj's on and get triscuits, cream cheese and vodka at 9pm and be in my home less than a minute later is incredible. I will gladly hand over my paycheck to Giorgiana's because they truly are the best kind of neighbors that a person could ask for.

Yelp
DO NOT BUY PERISHABLES AT GIORGIANA'S! Why does Giorgiana's price gouge? Everything in this store is $2-3 more expensive than it is at Foodies or any liquor store in the area. I know it's not a lot of money per item but it adds up and it's obnoxious. Go to Foodies, Wine Emporium, 570, or Urban Grape! Arrive home with groceries to find that not one, but two items in your basket had expired some time ago? Giorgianna's! Multiple times! Disgusting sandwich with nothing on it but roast beef? $8 at Giorgianna's! Rude owner who condescends and levies ultimatums if you question his prices! Giorgianna's! The owner of this store is an absolute jerk.
google avatar

Keith B.

Yelp
When I first moved to Boston I bought my beer here as it was really close to my temporary apartment. It saddens me to say that it took me a long time to actually try their sandwiches, or even to go in the back of the store where there's a decent selection of olive oils/canned vegetables as well as deli meats and cheese. In the other reviews I saw a few complaints about the serving size relative to the price, which is relatively expensive for the area - a sandwich/wrap/pita will be about 7 to 10. But in my opinion it's absolutely worth it as the cuts of meat they use are actually decent. If you want a big pile of cheap meat (nothing wrong with that!) go to billy's or emilio's across the street. I recommend the roast lamb sandwich!
google avatar

Jeff T.

Yelp
This is a family owned business one of the few remaining in Boston's South End. During the year, I the deli counter has a line of construction workers, firemen, police officers and business people. Great ready made dinners too and a full wine / liquor room in the basement. Up until this summer, there were 2-3 small tables alongside this market on Milford Street. The city's inspection department forced the owner to remove them staring she was making $$ off the space. Small businesses like this one can't afford the additional cost for outdoor space like most of the swanky restaurants along Tremont. If you are local call the Mayor's Hotline & complain.

D B.

Yelp
Be aware. They changed their hours and close early before the new closing time. No response from the owner. Fail
google avatar

Michael H.

Yelp
I think Giorgiana's is the closest thing to a real NY style convenience store around. They sell everything from Gyro to Vodka...love it. I was there recently with my girl and my dog, we had some Lamb Gyro and brown bagged a bottle of wine (snatched some plastic cups) and sat outside at the tables they have on the corner. For a moment there I almost felt like I was in Europe...only a moment but it was nice. The food that I've tried is good and I enjoy getting an egg and croissant sandwich on Sunday morning.
google avatar

Sally B.

Yelp
This place is basically the reason my BFF doesn't starve to death every day at work. They've got all the groceries and treats you need - everything from deli meat and pasta salads and milk to chocolate covered almonds and granola bars to tide you over if you're about to head to the theater. (Just double check the packages - sometimes raisins are really almonds!) There's even a little counter to perch at if you want to chill for a few minutes before heading back out into the city. Reliable, affordable, well-kept store in the South End: that's what I call convenience.

Parker Jay G.

Yelp
Honestly some of the most hyper-inflated liquor prices I've ever seen. The Bully Boy products they sell can be found at other distributors in the area for nearly half the cost. Tequila prices are on average $10 more expensive than other sellers in the area. Will not be back.
google avatar

Adam M.

Yelp
Very disappointing! I ordered a sandwich for lunch and I was excited with the thought that they shave the deli meat onto the bread as you order. I love places like this as it always tastes the best. Unfortunately, once they started to make make my sandwich I noticed that they had pre-cut their meat, yuk! I mean it could have been in there for days... You never know! The reason I gave a one star though is because the lady totally screwed up my sandwich. I ordered honey turkey and she put on oven gold turkey, which I don't like to begin with. I asked for pickles and she literally put on two small pickles. Really? Then she put on the wrong cheese as well. I would have gone back, but I was all the way back at work and could not get back over there. The turkey was gross, it tasted old and in the end it was a horrible sandwich. You have to be pretty bad to mess up a simple sandwich order. Time to retire your career in sandwich making lady! All that for $8.00! Don't go to this place for sandwich's, I am sure there are better places around the area!
google avatar

Jonny C.

Yelp
All purpose market, deli and booze stop on Tremont. Has a neighborhood feel that I find lacking for the most part in Boston: locals grabbing a paper and a sandwich, waitstaff from the countless S. End eateries picking up smokes and bitching about their hangover pre-shift, urban parents grabbing some milk and gummy bears for the kiddos. I love enclaves like this in cities. They are defacto gathering points for legitimate life needs. Great sandos too, Boars Head on Iggys bread. Yum. -1 star because no cheddar available at the deli counter. WTF is that? Otherwise, terrific.

Allen W.

Yelp
Picked up a Donald sandwich. Timing was fine, sandwich was just awful. Stone cold bun, not even toasted drowning in mustard with 3 slices of ham. For 12 bucks?? Garbage..
google avatar

Ryan R.

Yelp
A couple of friends and I ordered gyros togo on a Sunday from this place during halftime of one of the Patriots games. I went with a classic gyro with lamb and the sandwich was a decent size. The lamb was also pretty good, but a tad on the drier side. There was a little bit of tzatziki sauce, but not enough to really add any flavor to the gyro. Overall, this sandwich was definitely stuffed to the brim with meat, but lacked any real flavor since there was not enough toppings distributed throughout the wrap.
google avatar

Eric F.

Yelp
Wow, convenience store 2.0! I was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon a store that has an entire basement devoted to wine and spirits and a main floor filled with fresh deli, top shelf liquor, organic items and a slew of snack options (with *gasp* nutrition info to boot!). For just about any last minute needs for gatherings/parties/housewarmings/etc., Giorgiana's will have you covered.
google avatar

Jack F.

Yelp
Stop # 17 As we walked off all the extra pounds we just gained at MASA and PIcco, we found ourselves walking through the aisle (not aisles) of Giorgiana's Market Deli. It's respectable small ethnic grocer with wine and beer and organic produce. They also serve full breakfast but everything seemed pricey. Nothing in particular jumped out at me that "I just had to try" but I'd probably come back for the Galaktobourrko, a Greek Custard. Never seen it before and now I'll have do my research about it. If you were a food tourist, it'll still be worthwhile to drop by to peruse out its deli selections. Note: In February of 2009, Cindy and I embarked on a 48-hour eating tour around the greater Boston area. I called it the Boston Masticare - a bad pun off the Italian transitive verb "to chew." [Original Visit: February 15, 2009, 1:39 PM]

Yelp
A generally cool place that gets decent marks because they stock the strangest assortment of stuff: cream cheese, cleaning products, gourmet sandwiches, and beer in the basement. Oh and coffee. It's a cool idea, and way less corporate than a CVS or Walgreens (well, a Walgreens with a full deli in the middle of it). I'm not actually convinced by their sandwiches, though - the bread was pretty awesome, and the cheese was solid, but my tuna sub had apples and nuts in it, which kind of freaked me out. It was also a little pricey for a small sandwich - about $7. If I'm paying $7 for a sub, it better be HUGE. If you like your convenience stores unique and non-corporate, this is the place to be up at.
google avatar

Mark S.

Yelp
Pricey, but great for 1 or 2 items you need in a jiffy, like a hunk of cheese or bottle of oil. They have a good liquor selection too. I recommend getting a made-to-order sandwich/wrap the most, however, at a regular price you'll get a really great, fresh lunch or dinner sub (haven't tried breakfast but i'm sure that's great too). Staff very friendly.
google avatar

Andrea S.

Yelp
In a pinch, having groceries, beer and wine down the street can come in handy. It' s not the cheapest, but the last time I left my house with the oven one because I forgot that one damn ingredient, I was really happy to know Giorgiana's was around the corner. They also stock some pretty nice stuff and good brands. A neighborhood gem!
google avatar

Katie W.

Yelp
What don't they have? I stopped in to find some food and got a falafel wrap. I also got a huge cookie, small can of wine, and a drink. Super convenient to where I was staying. Very nice people!
google avatar

Yelp
Unbelievable (!!)breakfast burrito ! ..0h also, 4 the swinging bachelor ...COLD single serving champagne! & Don't forget , 32 ounce , store brewed ( !!) KambuCha !! Love this place ! And the staff ! Thank you !!
google avatar

Brian R.

Yelp
If you're staying in one of the B and B's in south Boston, then forget the restaurant thing 3 times a day. There are enough dishes at Giorgiana's to keep you going for a week. Saved us tons of $! Don't know where you'd park, though.

Ally T.

Yelp
The chocolate chunk cookie is out of this world!! Also, a great liquor store and place to get any items you forgot at the grocery store (or you are just too lazy to walk to the grocery)!
google avatar

Lucy M.

Yelp
My boyfriend used to work at Giorgiana's, he quit his job, the owner did not pay his last two day of work. When he went back to ask for his check hi was told that she will mailed .my boyfriend waited for a week and never got anything. he call her on the phone and she told him that she already mailed, it was a lie, my boyfriend never receive his pay check. It is not fear..
google avatar

Nicole M.

Yelp
I own a business close to Giorgiana's and this has become my lunch and dinner place. The owners are quality conscious when it comes to their shop and dishes. They are extremely hard working, working day and night, but always with a smile. Their Greek and antipasto salads are amazing!!! The amount of food you get for the price, can't be beat. I highly recommend them. I can't wait to attend one of their wine tastings. A nice bottle of red would go perfectly with their YUMMY meatballs. Oh and I forgot to mention I think all their meats and frozen dinners are ALL NATURAL, no antibiotics, hormones, or any other unhealthy additives. I would like to end by saying "Welcome to the neighborhood" and I'll see you tomorrow!

Danielle A.

Yelp
Giorgianas is the best. I live around the corner and stop here oh.... if not every day, then every other day. They have everything you could possibly need from a convenience store plus alcohol and fresh food. George is SO NICE. I don't know his wife (Ana) as well because I usually go in after work and she runs the morning shift. One night, my roommate and I had a party and we told everyone to buy whatever they needed there before coming over. George was so happy that he gave us a free bottle of champagne! I can't make this stuff up. From the sandwiches, to the vino to the service this place is really a diamond in the rough.
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
Outstanding breakfast food. Also this is my go to place for delicious chili and other premade comfort foods. And the people who work there are very friendly.

Anthony C.

Yelp
I have been going to Giorgiana's since it opened and I too was very excited that we had a convenience store right up the street. But I was thoroughly disappointed this evening when the owner's husband who is behind the counter taking money most nights decided to give me such grief that I walked out and would never return. I went in to ask for 6 flour tortillas. The girls who make the sandwiches and work the grill said they didn't have them but could sell me some behind the counter. During this time, the owner was outside. When he saw that she had given me the tortillas he scolded her for selling them to me and tried to charge me $6.00 for 6 tortillas to which he exclaimed was a "reasonable" price. I said that I didn't think that was reasonable so he tried to charge me for the other items I had and I was just so shocked that I didn't want to buy anything. He told me that he would talk to his wife about the price and if $6 wasn't reasonable I could come back tomorrow for a refund. Talk about customer service and inconveniencing the customer. Yes it is great for convenience but the management needs to work on its attitude before I would ever give this mom and pop location my business again

Jess R.

Yelp
I was just eating a nice big Greek salad from here. It came with a stuffed grape leaf and everything. It also came with... A NASTY ASS BUG. Stuck to the underside of a piece of romaine. It's like, a centimeter long, with wings and legs and bugness. It doesn't seem Greek in origin, SO WHY IS IT IN MY SALAD? Not eating here again. Very sad because everything else from here is usually really good. Boo.
google avatar

K M.

Yelp
FINALLY CLOSE LIQUOR STORE! Okay, okay. The beer's a bit overpriced, but in a pinch, it's close! The deli stuff looks good, and the baklava I got on a whim after dinner at Toro was straight up awesome. (but then, I love baklava of all kinds). Basically, check it out. They have some interesting stuff, for sure.
google avatar

Emily F.

Yelp
Cute cute cute! Sort of epitomizes the South End for me. Surprisingly plentiful supply of wine downstairs, with an assortment of freshly made deli foods & general convenience store goods on the street level part. Intimate, cozy, neighborhoody - they even have a cat roaming the store! Prime location right across from the Cyclorama/Mills Gallery. If i lived in the area, I'm sure I'd be a regular.
google avatar

Christina G.

Yelp
I'm half greek, so I would mostly come here for greek specialties from the hot deli case or for my favorite Greek cookies, Kourabiedes and Melomakarona. They make good lunch and breakfast sandwiches as well, and tasty meatballs. Staff was always very friendly and prices are reasonable.

Yelp
I miss living close to this place. The staff is friendly and they have a great variety of items in the deli case. They also have freshly prepared hot food items for those days when you really just do not want to cook dinner for yourself. The variety is also great here. You can get everything from the basics to more specialty items. They also keep everything so clean, which is not the most common trait in a lot of the smaller stores. Take some time and explore this place, it is worth the trip if you are in the area. I am a fan.
