Giorgina by Grupo Mandolina Opens in Wynwood in Miami, Florida | Eater Miami

"Evoking the charm of Italy’s Amalfi Coast, this open-air spot covers 4,500 square feet and accommodates 130 guests under a distinctive, Instagram-ready ceiling adorned with over 5,000 lemons on vines; the modern architecture and citrus-inspired color scheme were designed by Bea Pernia of Bea Interior Design and Jafif Arquitectos. Led by executive chef Hector Caspio with chef consultant Federico Tischler, the dinner menu pairs classic Italian dishes with creative twists, including pasta Giorgina, grilled octopus over creamy cannellini beans, whole roasted sea bream with garlic confit, veal scallopini, and pizzettes like the Margherita and three-cheese truffle, all served on custom china plates by designer Adriana Castro. Desserts highlight the Inmenso chocolate cake and gooseberry panna cotta, while weekend brunch (11 a.m.–5 p.m.) features coffee, pastries, Giorgina French toast, croissant egg benedict over pastrami, and two-sauce chilaquiles. The casual beverage program emphasizes cocktails that blend Italian and Mexican liqueurs—alongside classics like Negronis—offering drinks such as the Lemon and Sunshine and the Blushing Mojito; the restaurant is open daily for dinner from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m." - Olee Fowler

It’s good but it’s not great. Something about this “Italian restaurant” was missing… maybe the inside lightning needs to be adjusted down to make the fake lemon trees seem more realistic, or the fact that it’s on the main road, or part of a high rise with terrible valet, I don’t know. In either case, the waitress (Karin) was very nice and the food was good. Pizza with truffle was very filling. Grilled langoustines were good. The beef short rib was big enough for two people to share. Would recommend the grilled gem salad. They sadly removed the fish that’s featured on their website. Brah drinks. Tiny bar with minimum alcohol which was strange! Valet was slow and confused. I would recommend trying but unlikely to go back for a second time.

We came to Georgina for our wedding anniversary after a friend’s recommendation. The atmosphere was cozy and the service was very good. Our water was always filled up, our plates picked up promptly, and our table cleaned after every dish. The manager frequently checked on all the patrons. We ordered the Bresaola as our appetizer, the mortadella pizza and truffle tagliolini as our entrees, and the chocolate cake as dessert. The food was good, but not great. The dishes I would recommend were the pasta and the chocolate cake. I had a pleasant experience at the restaurant, but it didn’t quite leave a lasting impression for a return visit.

It’s the first time it is so easy to give a 10/10. THE BEST RESTAURANT (maybe in the world). Omg it was delicious. So worth the experience. The decor is so fancy! The waitress was amazing. Taste is EXCELLENT! Damn! I recommend this restaurant to everyone. AND TAKE PASTA + PIZETTE! We took truffle frites and truffle pizette and I can’t. It was something. I will go back for sure next time I’m going to Miami. Everything was aesthetic. 10000/10.

Google
The pizza and paste was good, which the eggplant was average. We went on a Friday night and the service was very slow. The eggplant arrived ~10 minutes after the other dishes, which was a shame. The restaurant is very nicely decorated, and the music was good

Giorgina is a stunning restaurant located in the heart of Wynwood, serving up delectable coastal Italian cuisine within a dreamy, Amalfi Coast-inspired ambiance. To start, the Burrata Caprese is a standout – creamy burrata paired with ripe heirloom tomatoes, fresh basil, and a vibrant pesto dressing. The Butternut Squash Carpaccio also delights, topped with chopped nuts, tangy gorgonzola cheese, and bright orange zest. For pastas, Giorgina’s signature fresh Spaghettini with lemon is a light, flavorful option. The Rigatoni Alla Vodka in a spicy tomato sauce is another crowd-pleaser, earning its reputation as one of Miami’s top renditions of this trendy dish. Among the entrees, a prosecco sauce swimming with trout roe caviar, with an Ora King Salmon filet floating on top served with jumbo crisp asparagus stole the show. To satisfy a sweet tooth, the Filone French Toast arrives adorned with fresh berries, chantilly cream, and maple syrup. The house-made Pistachio Ice Cream, topped with crumbly halva, is another rich, decadent treat. And the creamy Tiramisu dusted in cocoa melds flavors of mascarpone and espresso beautifully. With its transportive Amalfi-inspired ambiance and extraordinary coastal Italian fare, Giorgina is a luxurious dining destination worthy of its buzzing Wynwood locale.

Amazing experience at Giorgina, Wynwood’s gem! The atmosphere and the service was exceptional. Food took me to Italy with those incredible recipes all homemade and very tasty!! My server Mel was very attentive and kind. The manager as well, he approached to the table to supervise if everything was alright. Super happy! I’ll def come back :)

Google
The restaurant is very beautiful and it’s a great spot to dine Al fresco during the evenings. The food was good, tasty although it wasn’t wow.

Google
What a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Went with a group and ordered quite a few things (Tuna & Hamachi Crudos, Shrimp Scampi, Crispy Brussels Sprouts, Fresh Heirloom salad, Margherita Pizza, Giorgina Pasta, Grilled Salmon and Chicken Milanese). Absolutely every dish was delicious, with the pasta and chicken being the standout dishes! Service was great, and the restaurant decorations are beautiful. We thought it couldn’t get any better and then they brought dessert. The pistachio ice cream is one of the best I’ve ever had. Excellent experience, can’t wait to go again.

Yelp
I'm very sad to say this place was a huge disappointment. I've been wanting to come since they opened, but the ball was dropped so hard. First, upon arrival we were informed there was no AC inside despite it being over 90 degrees outside. I don't know if this is the normal situation here or if it just broke for the day. They did have little AC unit/fan looking things inside but it was so packed it didn't even help. I was definitely feeling toasty. Secondly, there was about a 30 minute wait for our table so we were offered to grab a drink at the bar. Upon arrival, the single bartender didn't even look our way, and continued making drinks for the table guests. The things that bug me about this: why is there only 1 bartender serving an entire restaurant/bar, and okay, I get it you're just, but like at least acknowledge my existence and say you'll be right with me and give me a drink menu. I sat there for probably 15 minutes before I had to flag him down and ask for a drink menu, and then again after another 10 minutes had to flag him down to place my order. I even overheard him tell another bar guest that it was his first ever bartending job, so he definitely shouldn't have been alone to handle all that load. Even though it is very common for gratuity to be included in the bill in Miami, I feel like most places still over pretty good service. Unfortunately that was not the case with our server. She came over initially fairly quickly, however, after we put our food orders in, we didn't see her again until basically the end of the meal. I don't even think she checked on us to see if our food was good, or if we needed anything. Never offered to grate cheese on our pasta. The only person that came to check on us was the manager/owner. He actually checked on us twice which was nice. He was more attentive than our own server. As for the food, I will say the things we ordered were good, but I did have some issues in this regard as well. First of all, the menu online and the menu in the restaurant were different. Some things were missing on the in person restaurant. Secondly, there was no consistency with the food. Based on the pictures posted online, both by the restaurant and by patrons, all the food looked different. For example, the French fries posted online by patrons showed wedge fries, but today when I went they were serving shoestring fries. Also, we got the tiramisu, and online it showed that they made a nice decoration with the cacao powder, but today it looked like they just dropped the container of cacao powder all over. Even the bowl it came with was dirty with powder all over. It looked terrible. The pizza and pasta are also pretty small portions, so I'd definitely get a few menu items and share. I will say everything we had tasted good, nothing spectacular though. The octopus was a little overcooked but not terrible. As for the cocktails, I had 2 of the ones on the cocktail menu and they just weren't that good in my opinion. The decor is cute, but I probably won't be back.

Yelp
This restaurant fits the vibe check. The place was 10/10 beautiful. It's an "inside" place but the whole restaurant is really outside. There is air conditioning and air circulation throughout the "inside" area. Kept things nice and cool. The service was also on point and VERY accommodating. It's a good place to take family, your partner or a night out for a fancy date. The Giorgina drink was a wonderful touch to my pasta, which by the way was so creamy!

Yelp
Amazing ambiance, service and food! Very beautiful restaurant. The pasta and pizza were great and worth the price point!

Yelp
The service we experienced at Giorgina was exceptional! From the hostess to the wait staff everyone was friendly, efficient, and provided over the top service. The Giorgina pasta was a major highlight of our meal as well as the Cacio E Pepe pizza. The key lime pie was perfectly tart but at $20 it was not "shareable" as advertised. My only qualm with the place is the lack of parking. A dedicated lot or area for drop off would set this place even further apart. Overall, we will be returning to Giorgina!

Yelp
Good service great ambiance. Food 4/5. Pasta dishes were good 3.5-4 but i have had better. However overall id still go back for sure

Yelp
Came here for my birthday brunch on a Sunday with my family. Ambiance is definitely top notch and very instagrammable. However, music didn't work for a good portion of our time there. Food was good. I enjoyed the French Toast I ordered. They could improve the dessert selection a little more and offer more options for brunch.

Yelp
Giorgina is the top Italian spot in Wynwood! My husband and I tried it for the first time last night and were pleasantly surprised. The service was superb, with an accommodating hostess and our server, Joe, being efficient, knowledgeable, and providing outstanding recommendations. The Giorgina team goes the extra mile to ensure a welcoming experience. The manager checked in on several tables to ensure everything was running smoothly. As far as food - we started with the crispy Brussels sprouts (Joe recommended these and they were amazing!) and Labneh salad. For our mains we got the Raviolo Cacio e Pepe and Truffle Pizza. Both were incredible! Something which surprised me was that the Raviolo is one large piece of pasta and I was expecting several small pieces of pasta. Nevertheless the food was flavorful and hearty and overall the meal was quite enjoyable. The ambiance was beautiful - the ceiling was designed with vines and lemons. It felt like we were in a corner restaurant in Sorrento. The service alone would bring me back here! While Miami can sometimes lack in service, the excellent service at this place truly sets it apart, complementing the great food and ambiance.

Yelp
I decided to make reservations at Giorgina for my wife's birthday. I made sure I asked for indoor seating and indicated it was her birthday. We arrived about five minutes prior to our reservations, now, first impressions are everything, they set the tone. The hostess indicated that the wait was going to be about 20 minutes for interior seating. I politely told her I had reservations and was on time. The hostess looked at me, with a bit of sass and indicated that all the tables are busy at the moment, and there was nothing that they can do but we can sit outside because there were plenty of tables available. Then casually look down. This was a bit offputting, especially since we had reservations and I indicated this was a special event. I told her I'd be willing to wait but not for an extended period of time and that she can look for us at the bar. We had drinks at the bar for about 15 minutes, and the same two tables that were available when we first arrived sat there with no guest for 15 minutes. Someone arrived with a party of four and were quickly seated at one of those tables at the 16 minute mark and another four person party arrived after us at the 19 minute mark filled the second table. Were the tables on hold? Were they trying to bring in more revenue because those parties had more people per table? I can't say but whatever occurred it was poor execution. I brought this to the attention of the hostess, and she indicated she would see what she can do to quickly get us a table, at the 24 minute mark, we were seated at a table after the guest have departed. Our waiter, a young Hispanic girl, was very attentive, and made up for the deficiencies by the hostess whoever was in charge of the coordination and seating charts. We ordered a bottle of wine and started off with the grilled octopus and mussels as the appetizer. The mussels were fantastic, and the sauce was sensational. The flavor in that sauce was everything, highly suggest you dip the bread in the sauce and use the shell to scoop the sauce and have it with the mussel. The grilled octopus itself was very good. Little thrown off by the beans as the dish is traditionally served with potatoes but it was still flavorful. We ordered the Giorgina pasta and added caviar to it. The pasta was delicious, very lemon forward but not overpowering. The combination of the caviar helped release the flavor of the fish eggs, amazing. We also went with the glazed short ribs, in hindsight we should have gone with a shellfish dish. The short rib was fall off the bone but I found it too fatty. I was a bit disappointed, but the meat had good flavor but there wasn't much meat to eat, more fat than anything else. For the price-tag on dinner $350+ I believe there are better options for Italian dining in Miami.

Yelp
This restaurant was a 10/10! The menu although seemingly limited truly works in perfecting dishes! The food was incredible and the service from Rocio was similarly amazing! Celebrated my birthday here and it was the perfect dinner night vibe with the girls!

Yelp
i loveee the aesthetic here, it's so quaint and alluring. Pictures came out amazing, and the atmosphere was just so ethereal. It's fairly new and has had such a great promising start, came here for galentines dinner with a friend and we had a blast taking pictures and chatting while enjoying the food. We started off with the salmon crudo which was so delectable and melted in your mouth, you could tell it is expertly sourced. We enjoyed to entrees from the menu which was the truffle pasta and bolognese. I preferred the bolognese rather than the truffle which did not have much of a truffle taste and seemed a little subpar compared to the expectations we had. Overall with a couple of tweaks on the food this place can really be perfect, staff was more than amazing and the chef was willing to accommodate our request to have the food say galentines in our celebration which was very fun. I really enjoyed this place and would love to come again!

Yelp
Walking into Giorgina and I was transported back to Capri with the romantic lighting, vines and lemons decorating the entire restaurant. If only the entire experience was similar to dining in Capri. Our reservation was set for 8:45 for a table inside and although we were at fault we arrived 5 mins late but the hostess said it wasn't a problem at all. It wasn't until we were called to our table that they wanted to seat us in an outside table right in the middle of the walkway to the indoor area. It was a tight fit and I didn't want anyone in our party having to be stuck pulling their chair in and out throughout the meal because folks were passing by. We made a comment with the hostess and they said that we could wait until the next table inside frees up and they'll seat us there... great! So we went back to the waiting area to await our table that we originally booked for. Well that table didn't become available for another hour and 20 mins. At one point a friend went up to ask for an update and not sure if it was just a coincidence but once she got up to the stand the hostess ran off. Oddly enough we checked the OpenTable app and you can still book a table for the night but they weren't seating anyone creating a line. We finally were seated at our table inside and glad that we could finally start our evening. Our server Vanessa was sweet and provided her own recommendations on some dishes we should try out. I ordered the mussels to start and by far one of the best. I only wish I could've eaten more as the position size was on the smaller side. I also ordered the Giorgina pasta and it was good but for my taste the lemon flavor was overpowering the entire dish but if you enjoy lemon then this is the dish for you. I also think if I added some garlicky shrimp it would've taken the fish to a whole different level of flavor. Overall it was a good night, ideal for a ladies night out or a dinner date but be prepared to wait for your table past your reservation time. Really waiting over an hour for a table inside that we had reserved put a huge damper on our night but the food would have me back again.

Yelp
It's as good as the pictures. What a beautiful restaurant, reminds you of Almafi. The food was delicious so fresh and great ingredients. The service was exceptional. So attentive. Rain the bartender makes the best lichee martini! This one is a must try!

Yelp
this place was actually so fire. First time here, I heard it was a new spot around Wynwood, and I just had to try it out. Honestly, nothing but great things to say, from the hostess to when I left, everything was impeccable. Our server Emma was absolutely amazing. the food was so good. The service and ambiance was very good. Everything came on time. I will definitely be coming back here

Flor V.

Yelp

Yelp
Pretty disappointing. The potential is there but the execution is lacking. My wife and I just had dinner at Giorgina and were surprised by the lack of value for our money. We didn't get any drinks and for food we had a salad, a Ravioli (emphasis on ONE ravioli) and another pasta dish. 1 salad, two pastas, no drinks and our bill was $120+. The food wasn't filling and luckily there are other restaurants in the area for which we could go have an actual dinner. I'd recommend skipping Girogina. The vibe is nice, but it's not worth the price.

Yelp
Ambience is nice , but I think because the restaurant is new the service was a tad slow. Branzino was a small filet compared to the photo. Pistachio ice cream was excellent.

LeeAnn G.

Yelp
We had a reservation for a Friday night and arrived a few minutes early. Luckily, they could seat us right away. We ordered drinks almost immediately upon being sat and they took 30 minutes to arrive. All the tables around us were getting rounds while we waited. We ordered food soon after our drinks and our food came out before we got our drinks. Once we got our drinks there were issues immediately. We got a Coke that had clearly been sitting out waiting to be brought over because it was warm and the ice was melted. We also ordered three different cocktails; a French 75, one Prosecco cocktail, and vodka cocktail. The French 75 was not a French 75, the color was incorrect and it had no Prosecco, and they gave us two vodka cocktails instead of one vodka and one Prosecco. The cocktails tasted and looked exactly the same which is how we knew they were the same. The manager then came over to ask how everything was and we explained that it took 30 minutes for our cocktails to arrive and they were incorrect. The manager apologized and offered to get us new cocktails right away. A few minutes later our server then comes over and asked about our issues with our cocktails and asked if we wanted new ones. We shared the manager was going to be getting us new cocktails. The server then proceeded to take the cocktails on the table and walked away with them. The manger comes back to our table and asks if we wanted drinks we explained we thought we were going to get new drinks. The manger stated he would be happy to get us new drinks but we could not order the same thing because we clearly did not like them and the bartender said they made the correct drinks. We tried to explain they were not the drinks we ordered and the manger kept cutting us off as we spoke and said they were what we ordered. The manager was straight up gaslighting us and being incredibly rude. At this point we decided to just finish our meal and leave. We gave the restaurant 2 stars because the food was delicious and we ate all of it. However, everything else leaves something to be desired. I would not recommend unless you're looking to be gaslit. I would recommend heading across the street to Beaker and Grey for good cocktails, fun bartenders, and no gaslighting.

Jas B.

Yelp
Had a delicious meal last night with two friends, as one of my friends is going to Denmark for a job opportunity! They made sure to include a congratulations note on the dessert we ordered. The service was amazing, even the manager/owner checked up on us multiple times. The restaurant is so beautiful inside, it was well worth the price.

Mike B.

Yelp
Similar to other reviews, I had high hopes for this restaurant, but it did not hit the spot. -The $23 Crispy Brussels Sprouts were just severely burnt leaves. -The Hamachi Crudo was actually quite delicious, but only $1 more than the Crispy Brussels Sprouts. Couldn't get over how much of a letdown that was. -The $32 Raviolo Cacio e Pepe is just ONE piece. Was shocked but it was my mistake and should have realized that raviolo means single, but still for $32?!? -the Filet was delicious and full of flavor, but not worth $60. -Tiramisu was mediocre and easily had better at many other restaurants. Two things i did appreciate were the attentiveness of the staff and ambiance, but sadly, I was pretty disappointed with the overall value and will not be coming back.
google avatar

Francesca L.

Yelp
Had high hopes for this spot but the food was inedible. The salmon crudo had no flavor and for an Italian place, the pizza was some of the worst I've had. It was chewy and came out room temperature- I don't think it was fully cooked. Servers were rude and couldn't answer any questions about the menu.
google avatar

Mj S.

Yelp
Highly recommend, however it's a bit pricey-relatively speaking for the amount of food/price point. The service was amazing. The food was amazing. The atmosphere was amazing. Just a bit pricey. I would love to go back, however logically speaking, we will probably not be back due to the pricing.

Yelp
i was a little iffy coming here because the reviews were hit or miss. i did enjoy my experience at Giorgina! service was not bad and it was not too loud. the pizza was absolutely delicious. they make their dough and sauce in house. the pasta was 20-30 seconds overcooked for my liking but still very good. the butternut squash carpaccio was surprisingly phenomenal. i normally wouldn't order this but im glad we did! it was very good. the yellowfin tuna crudo was interesting for me. I've never had tuna and beans together. interesting mix that my palate didn't love. but the tuna with the sauce was delicious and the beans with the sauce was delicious. we liked it but separately
google avatar

Nati M.

Yelp
First thing we started off with was the grilled octopus which was very good and probably the best thing I ate. I then got the Sunday Funday which was a pineapple coconut mock tail which was very good. I ordered the Raviolo Cacio E Pepe which was good but sort of disappointing because it was only one big ravioli single ravioli. I then tried the Truffle Taglioni which the flavor was good but the actual pasta texture was not right. The last pasta I tried was the Giorgina, their signature pasta, which was so sour we had to send it back. Last was the Immenso Chocolate Cake which was very dry, but not bad. The actual restaurant though was very cute and great place to take cute pictures. Overall 5/10 and $$$

Gabriel C.

Yelp
Food is great! Portion is balanced. The service is exceptional, well taken care of. The ambiance, your wife or date would love and fall in love. Highly recommend coming here

Yelp
I enjoyed the delicious and flavorful dishes at this restaurant. The service was excellent, and the decor added to the overall experience. However, the dessert fell short of expectations, leaving me a bit disappointed.

Abigail G.

Yelp
The food was great super fresh and flavorful. The drinks were okay, I have better but I've had worse. Since the restaurant was newer I could feel it in the service. The service was great very attentive but felt a bit off. The ambiance also was a bit off because of the location being next to a busy and loud street. The desserts were very good, I would go back just for them and the pastas. Would definitely go back on a date or with small group. Just felt a bit off because it was a newer restaurant but otherwise everything was great!

Minette S.

Yelp
Rushed - seated and out in under 45 min. Ordered drinks, app, and main. Asked to slow things down. Eh food - okay if neighbor spot but not to drive to. Signature salad is just a mediocre Caesar. The signature pasta was over cooked. Bread is served with butter not olive oil. Drinks more expensive than entrees. Everything else was fine. Restaurant Self-Parking is $15.

Tammy L.

Yelp
terrible service, got my order wrong and charged you for water. Some waiters don't understand english hence why they got my order wrong the first time. Will treat u differently if you are not italian which made me feel very out of place

Alexander P.

Yelp
Great service , great ambiance, food was very good . Would come back to this new spot

Julia B.

Yelp
The food was fine - my pasta was so hard I wouldn't even consider it al dente but my friend enjoyed her meal a lot. Very pricey though - the total came out to almost $90 for two pastas, no drinks or appetizers. The experience was so rushed we were there for less than an hour. I will say the highlight was our waitress, who was very kind and attentive. That being said, we went specifically for the ambiance but when we got there there wasn't any available tables inside, only outside - which, fine, whatever, what can you do? But quite literally the second we sat down a group got up from the inside and walked out so I asked our hostess if we could be moved to the inside - to which she replied there wasn't any available tables......as I was literally looking at an empty table. Both hostesses seemed very unhelpful and one of them even gave my friend a dirty look at one point as she was taking a picture of the restaurant. The fact that there was a mandatory service charge for service that wasn't great is ridiculous. Won't be coming back.
