Google
We hit this place around 8:30pm and they met our needs!! We ordered a pepperoni plaza, had to wait a bit for sit down…it was so worth it! The cooks Even gave us a special Treat to try!! Everything was awesome! This is a must have in the Burgh!!!!!

Jamie M.

Google
The pizza is very good. They have a nice little dining area available. Old school chalkboard with items listed with prices, as you walk in to the right. The staff seems very friendly and polite. Has on street parking, no off-street parking availability. Nice little neighborhood.

Stopped by for the renowned Giorgio's Cheesesteak and it did not disappoint. First, I got a half, and it was a big portion (as pictured.) The roll was soft but crispy on the outside and perfectly toasted. The onions were noticeable and delicious. The meat was high quality (or at least it seemed like it, no gristle). I got the house made Italian dressing and no mayo. The Italian dressing was assertive with every bite, and I really liked that. The cheese was also stand out. It was not a cheese sauce. It was cheese. Yum! Would definitely order again!

Google
Giorgio is one of my favorite pizza spot The next time I order extra cheese, please give me extra cheese and don’t burn my crust. I was a little, just pleased with you all this time. I was hungry and I was on my lunch break. that’s not extra cheese, and the piece of crust is hard and it was burnt. Let’s be a little more careful in the future.👌🏽

Google
I did not have the pizza, which the other reviewers seem to like. I made the mistake of ordering lasagna. The noodles were complete mush. There was 1 very thin layer of ricotta cheese (think of it like how you would butter toast - just enough to cover). Primary a stack of mushy noodles with too much sauce and a ribbon of cheese on only one of the layers. Ordered the meat sauce and since that was an add, I knew there would not be meat in the lasagna itself The ground beef had an odd finish. I had six bites of this slop and threw it away. I tasted no garlic in the garlic bread. It was green, so it seemed it might have been a pesto sauce but then was globbed over with so much cheese (who asked for cheese on the garlic bread?) that you couldn't taste the flavor of the garlic bread. Cheese can be a great add to a really nice buttery, garlicky and well toasted, crunchy bread but that was not this. It was also mushy and soft, a repurposed hoagie bun. I had to brush my teeth twice to get the taste of all of this out of my mouth. Will not be back. Counter staff was not friendly and then seemed offended when I said I did not need plastic bag to take my food home.

Google
Way over priced. I ordered the appetizer " fried ravioli" only 6 raviolis. It said $7.99 but they charged me $11.22. I asked why so much. They said because you ordered two dipping sauces Ranch and Mainara. I was charged extra from them BUT the menu did not state it was extra for them.

Google
1st time, I placed a pickup order on a Saturday early afternoon and only had a 15-20 minute wait. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and zucchini planks. I thought the zucchini was maybe a little high in cost for 5 pieces (which they are upfront with quantity on the menu) but they were some of the best we've had. Worth the cost! Pizza was affordable and delicious! I'm not usually a crust person but I can eat theirs no problem. Street parking was easy to find and staff was friendly. Looking forward to trying more from their menu.

Rebecca K.

Google
this pizza was delicious!!! Came here with a friend of mine and decided to give it a try. I’m so glad we did! The crust, cheese, and sauce all went together perfectly. It was decently priced and well cooked. Fast and friendly service. I’ll definitely be back to try more toppings.

Yelp
I got a few pizzas and garlic bread for takeout and everything was very tasty, especially the pizza. Placing an order over the phone was quick and easy and it was ready just a few minutes after they told me it would be. It's a great bang for your buck and I had plenty of food for my entire group. I'll definitely be coming by again the next time that I'm on the Northside!
google avatar

Amber H.

Yelp
The food was so good that I forgot to take a photo. I tried the lasagna and it was delicious!! The dinner portion was big so I was able to make my leftovers stretch for an extra two days. The staff was friendly and the inside is like a typical pizza joint. I would get food from here again, I really want to try the pizza as that also looked good.
google avatar

Ron J.

Yelp
Classic Italian vibes on a on the North Side of Pittsburgh. I came for the highly recommended Steak and bacon cheese steak, and it was bangin! Full of flavor and the bread was crust like! During one of the busiest time and the service was as efficient as you can ask for. Can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Brian L.

Yelp
The food here is amazing, gladly drive nearly an hour just to get the pizza! The cheese fries were really good too. Recommending to all my friends, parking is rough but that's not their fault that's just inner city Pittsburgh
google avatar

Brenda Howard N.

Yelp
Great pizza and Hoagies!!! Love that they deliver to my home or my local hangout spot!!!
google avatar

Larissa K.

Yelp
You might opt for the pizza, but the hoagies spoke for themselves - shown by nonstop ringing phone for orders!!! The meat for both the chicken and steak hoagies were stunningly flavorful. Fair pricing across the board. I noticed some other couple BYOB for dine in but we stuck to fountain drinks - your typical pizzeria vibes for dine in with street parking. Service was a little cold at the front but nonetheless food was awesome!
google avatar

Bridget M.

Yelp
The most amazing, I was literally dancing while eating, HOW CAN IT BE THIS GOOD Thank you, my God so delicious
google avatar

Samantha L.

Yelp
Update: The great pizza and service at Giorgio's continues! The staff is super friendly, and the food is always is hot and ready to go when they say it will be. Definitely worth a try next time you're on the North Shore/Side.
google avatar

Bill J.

Yelp
Very good and large portions everything made in house. Busy place and are very proud of their food.
google avatar

Ashlyn P.

Yelp
The chicken salad from Giorgio's was SO delicious that I ate it all before I could even remember to take a picture. I called to order for pickup and got my salad within 20 minutes. The staff was friendly and I would definitely order again here.

Kathleen B.

Yelp
Excellent cheesesteak; one of the best we've ever had!! Reasonable price and prompt service too!!
google avatar

Ronald A.

Yelp
The food is decent. The service is ok. Plenty of seats so you can bring a group of people.
google avatar

Jon G.

Yelp
Small pizza shop on Western Avenue on the North Side. You can get slices of pizza with whatever topping you want. Service was quick and efficient. Pizza slices were really good. They have salads, hoagies, and calzones also available.

Rick S.

Yelp
It is either the best pizza in Pittsburgh or the worst. If you order it and it is delivered with thick enough crust to not require a spoon, it is the best pizza in Pittsburgh. However, sometimes it will arrive with paper thin crust that the melted cheese just turns into soup. If they could get quality control on their consistency, I'd give this place 100 stars. When they do ot, they do it RIGHT.
google avatar

Yelp
Other than the business this place does it CAN be a little difficult to find a parking spot. Being "out-of-towners"...I honestly craved New York style pizza!!! It DID NOT DISSAPOINT!!!!! We even returned another time another day. Their pizza is old style thin crust. They usually have slices pre-made to choose from so keep that in mind! It's a good idea to call ahead, just good luck if you get the rude lady who treats everyone like dirt!

Shahla R.

Yelp
It was great quick pizza we had it right before football game start. They were quick and food washreat.

Hiro P.

Yelp
Giorgio's Place is good, but not wonderful. I stop in often for a slice and I've ordered a few meals and whole pies. Slices are usually very good, far better at peak times of course since it hasn't been sitting out for long. They have a tastier than average cheese mix. Good sauce, good crust. I'd call it 70% NY style, 30% Pittsburgh style. And I'm very glad that like any good NY pizzeria, they have shakers of garlic, oregano, grated cheese and hot pepper available. Now a couple pet peeves. They use ground sausage. That's a turn-off to me. The best sausage pizza in Pittsburgh was of course the great Vincent's Pizza Park with big juicy fresh-made sausage. And second, The woman who minds the counter (Giorgio's mama?) is often grumpy, and one time in the evening I went to buy a couple slices and she would only sell me one as she didn't want to have them make another pizza for slices though it was still half an hour from closing. Not very customer friendly. Bottom line though, 2nd best pizza North of Pittsburgh, after Badamo's, in my opinion.

Yelp
The food is very good, it never disappoints. The service is pretty nice, most of the employees are nice. The ambiance is cool, they are always playing something in the background. Must go if around the area.
google avatar

Sarah J.

Yelp
Decided to stop past after I had a rehearsal on the north side. I order a personal pan and 4 custom slices. The service was amazing and fast ,I am mad I didn't have time to sit down and eat because it definitely gives you mom and pop pizza shop vibes. My food was done in about 15 mins everything was piping hot and delicious. They really give you your moneys worth on the toppings that they give you on the single slices. I will be sure to return back to try more food! I didn't get a picture because I stuffed my face way tooo fast 10/10 for me all the way around,
google avatar

Caitlin R.

Yelp
Great pizza, sometimes can be hard to order on a busy night and it is popular so wait times get long! Would recommend trying at least once

Rita F.

Yelp
great menu of italian food from hoagies and Calzones to pizza and pasta. they even sell pizza by slice - mine had mushroom and spinach and vegetables were very flavorful. Nice atmosphere and staff- highly recommebd

Paul R.

Yelp
Love this place. Been here a long time and hope it's here for a lot longer. Good pizza but the hoagies are even better. Homemade Italian dressing is fabulous. Geez people. Give the lady at the counter a break. Love her. She doesn't suffer fools.
google avatar

Spencer S.

Yelp
Great little place near Allegheny Commons and Mexican War Streets! Placed a to-go order on a drizzly Saturday night and was told it would be ready 15-20 minutes later. Showed up at the appointment time and was provided a large piping hot pizza. Service was quick and the place looks pretty nice. There were several tables to sit and eat at and it looked as though a very large group had recently left. A 16" pepperoni pizza will set you back about $14 bucks and that seems like a really good deal to me! Because the pizza is thin crust it tended to get a little bit soggy and so I'd recommend lots of napkins on hand or a plate and fork if that's more your speed. Flavors were well developed and I felt that the sauce to cheese to pepperoni ratio was pretty good! Only other comment I'll make is that the pizza was very oily so just be aware of that. All in all this was a good experience and I'd definitely come back.

Derek D.

Yelp
Best Pizza in Pittsburgh by a mile. Perfect crunch, light, great cheese. Way better than Pittsburgh favorites like Fiori's and Mineos.
google avatar

Tommie T.

Yelp
No doubt this is my favorite place to eat on the Northside of town. The Philly chicken, pizza and breaded wings
google avatar

Martin L.

Yelp
Just visiting town and staying in the area, looking for anything open on a holiday night and stumbled on this place. Great Sicilian pizza! Everyone loved the breaded Wingdings too. Like any made to order authentic pizza place there was a wait but it was worth it. Dining in didn't look impressive but we were ordering to go.
google avatar

Yelp
Hands down the best pizza in North Shore. I choose Georgios every time when I get a pizza craving. No delivery and cash only doesn't bother me, and if you want a good pizza it shouldn't bother you either. My favorite is good old pepperoni. They use the little pepperoni slices so they curl up and the grease pools in the middle mmm mmm! This is the way pizza should taste! A+ -Review by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and myself.

Decon B.

Yelp
The food is good but the service is terrible the lady will always give priority to the phone even if your in the middle of placing a order. Why she doesnt answer & put them on hold makes no sense. As long as the phone keeps ringing youll stand there forever i highly recommend placing all orders over the phone even if your standing out front!
google avatar

Yelp
Unfortunately for Northsiders such as myself decent pizza is almost impossible to find. The downtown delivery options all serve the same spongy crust topped with way too much cheap cheese style of pizza. That's why when craving pizza I turn to Giorgio's. The crust is soft and fluffy while still being crunchy on the bottom. They are very generous with the toppings, but are happy to make the pizza however you want (I like a little more sauce than cheese on mine). The prices are also great; my standard order of a 2 topping medium pizza with 6 wings is $14. *A note on the wings, they are wing-ding style (breaded then fried) so order them with the sauce on the side otherwise they get soggy. Giorgio's does have some drawbacks which result in me knocking off a few stars. 1. They do not deliver 2. They are cash only In my opinion these are two significant inconveniences when it comes to a pizza shop. I have do some serious pre-planning if I want to order from Giorgio's. In general when I'm craving pizza I'm not in the mood to hop in the car, find an ATM, and run back and forth. If they at least started taking cards I would be happy...Come on Giorgio's, let's move into the 21st century
google avatar

Stacie C.

Yelp
I want to really like Giorgio's Place because it's so close to where I live. But when all I really wanted was a deep dish pizza, I was disappointed. It's probably my own fault, I was craving a deep dish pizza in the Chicago style. What I got was basically a pan pizza. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but I felt misled. It is good to know Giorgio's is here when I just want a slice, so we'll call this first taste a learning experience. Prices are reasonable but be advised this is a cash only establishment.

Gigi R.

Yelp
I have been coming here for years! I love their sauce, dough, and workers. Pretty simple. Good pizza.
google avatar

GM O.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to eat in the Northside. The Sicilian pizza with homemade meatballs is the best! The steak and bacon hoagie is really great too. Very casual dining, but well worth it. Love supporting a great local business. We no longer live in Pittsburgh, but I think about Giorgio's often. They're cash only, which is a bummer, but there is an ATM a few steps away at the Modern Cafe.
google avatar

Jonathan B.

Yelp
This is a true example of old family recipe and dedication to making a great pizza. The grandmother is always there when I walk in. The sauce is homemade. The dough is homemade. The cheese is fresh. I am not sure what else you can ask for from a local family owned shop. I did not rate it 5 stars as I have not tried anything else except their pizza. So the missing star is not their fault. I have tried the white pizza, the red pizza, Sicilian, thin crust, and most of the toppings. Every time it has been on point. You can buy a piece, a small pie, or a large pie. They treat you the same every time. The service is friendly as you order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. There is barely ever a wait to order and always a table available. It is a great place to grab a slice for lunch which is what I usually do. If you have not been there, make the effort to stop by. I will probably be there as well.

Benjamin P.

Yelp
So....We've been ordering from Gorgio's for 4 years. I can report that they are consistent. Their pizza is top notch, don't get me wrong, but let's talk about what's wrong. It's like they are doing me a huge favor by waiting on me, both by phone and in person. The woman on the phone is rude, curt, and uses bad language on her customers. In person, she eats the entire time she's talking to you. Shoving grapes in her gullet like a squirrel packing nuts, licking her fingers the entire time, then touching your food, that grosses me out. While taking my order via phone, she dropped the f bomb on me. We order, on average, twice weekly, and it's always the same. The pasta dishes are ALL OVER COOKED. It's like eating a dish full of mush. And it's consistent. We've had gnocchi, cheese ravioli, beef ravioli, and spaghetti, so it's not by accident, it's consistent as I said. The fact that you get abused on the phone and in person, have a health risk with her eating and licking her fingers then touching your food, and then getting over charged is ridiculous. This seems so wrong. I ordered; 1 pepperoni pie, 1 side meatball with cheese, and a ravioli dinner, came to $44 and change. Who do they think they are? McCormick and Schmick's? When I asked who I could make a complaint to in house, she turned and replied; anyone one here, we are all family! She's been there over 30 years and "thinks" she's family. The only job she is good at is putting customers off. There are 2 other pizza places in town. It's time to start ordering elsewhere. Family will stick together, whether right or wrong, and in this case, it's hurting your business. Wake up!! This isn't cute. It's hurtful. Good luck. I hope others follow our lead.

Yelp
This place has been here for a while, I always heard positive things about it. This past week my partner ordered pies for a long meeting, and came back raving! So much, that I bought my shop lunch today. We had a big chicken salad, 2 different steak hoagies, a meatball sub, and a pizza. Pretty good cross sample - the sandwiches were excellent as was the salad. The pizza was very, very good. Sauce was a touch sweet - some love it that way, some don't - YMMV. As other's have noted, it's a family run business. Clean inside, smelled great when you walked in the door. While I was waiting, a police sergeant from the station up the block stopped in to pick up a few orders - I take that as a good sign also. Bottom line, everyone at work gave Georgio's 2 thumbs up - I'll be going back for sure!!

Derricka G.

Yelp
Great pizza. Best pizza on the north side. Had a large pepperoni. Kids enjoyed after swim. Would recommend.

Patricia P.

Yelp
This place is my top 3 pizza places in Pittsburgh! I just love their pizza & the sauce is just the right amount of sweetness. It's right up there with Fiori's, Campitis and Giovanni's- I highly recommend it! I get take out any time I'm in Northside!
google avatar

Shawn M.

Yelp
I was delivered a very soggy, wet and unappetizing deep dish pizza. The manager said she thought most come that way. I...don't think so. 1 star for you. Bye bye...
google avatar

Taylor D.

Yelp
Moved into the area and found that this pizza place was closest to us. Tried a couple things from there a few times and was never impressed. I'm a pizza fanatic and I know a good pizza when I see it.
google avatar

Spirited R.

Yelp
This place is good and friendly. We went here to order pizza for my students. The pizza is very good. I will be back. Nice inside.

Jacqueline G.

Yelp
I called and placed an order over the phone and requested to pay with my card over the phone because someone else was picking it up for me since I'm at work. The girl that took the call was very pleasant and told me they require the card but since I'm at work she'll ask the owner if she can make an exception. He was very rude and said no and if she can't bring it in call somebody else! I told all of my AGH coworkers how good this place is and for him to be a total douche bag was a slap in the face! Customer service is everything and this was unexpected especially since I've been going there for years and traveled from the other side of Pittsburgh to get their food! Never again.
google avatar

Erin L.

Yelp
Stopped in today for the first time for a quick lunch. The atmosphere is nice and it looks recently remodeled. The hoagie I had was absolutely delicious. The bread they used was great. I see a lot of reviews saying they are cash only, but I used a credit card here (the guy said it was recent that they added the card machine). The service was great as well and they were super friendly. Will definitely be back to try the pizza!
google avatar

Daniel J.

Yelp
Giorgio's isn't a bad option if you're a north-sider. Decent when it's HOT and COLD! The deep dish isn't as deep as you'll get in Chicago, but it is delicious and affordable. Toppings are very fresh, especially the veggies. The service is friendly.
google avatar

Tressa W.

Yelp
This place is dangerous because it is so GOOD. Favorite pizza in Pittsburgh. I love the Sicilian cut with mushrooms. I've even turned my coworkers on to this place as it's our go to whenever we're in the mood for pizza in the office. Giorgio's now delivers to businesses and accepts cards!

J D.

Yelp
We placed a takeout order for about 7 people. When we got there, we had to wait at least 15 minutes after it was supposed to be ready. We were told the wrong total over the phone and then the woman gave us attitude about it. The woman argued with the guys making the food and was extremely unprofessional. The food lacked flavor and the orders were incorrect. I won't be going back. The only reason why they aren't getting a single star is because i heard that their pizza is good, but we didn't order pizza.
google avatar

David G.

Yelp
I live on the north side. I saw a gentleman who is part of the family that owns this place in the lobby of the YMCA. I asked about delivery because there are few good places for pizza in this neighborhood. He then told me he would never deliver on the north side because its so dangerous and he doesn't want to get shot. This was an atrocious response to a pleasant request. They own a business in a neighborhood and they insult the residents. They will never get a dollar from me again and I will be loud about this experience.
google avatar

Teresa T.

Yelp
Casual pizza and pasta place. Order at the counter and they bring the food to you. Great deal for the dinner entrees - about $9 for spaghetti and meatballs with a side salad and garlic bread. Nothing fancy - just simple but service has two thumbs up. Bathrooms and overall establishment are clean and spacey. My grips are that it is $1 for a refill and cash only.
google avatar

Matthew N.

Yelp
Food is good. Not great. They do not follow their posted business hours so don't be surprised to find the establishment closed at 830 on a Saturday when the door says 930. Also the staff is very rude. Especially the miserable lady that takes orders. She acts as if she's doing me a favor when actually I could have chose any other pizza place in Pittsburgh. And I will!

Michael P.

Yelp
This place won't appeal to most foodies (if any), but if you're looking for very casual dining, unpretentious food that comes in generous portions served by unpretentious people, this is your place. These have to be some of the most down to earth, genuinely nice people around in the restaurant biz! They'd get 5 stars for that. This is my place for local pizza or a baked fish hoagie when I need a break from my own heat n' serve cooking and need something on the cheap. Nothing but cool vibes here. Be sure to check out the photo of Michael Douglas while you're there.
