Great neighborhood deli with absolutely nothing missing!! The vibe, the energy, the service, the products and produce… all of it faultless. Gets super busy, standing room only, but that’s what happens with any well loved place. Might be better to grab and go for others, but if you really want to soak it all in, it’s worth the wait and worth every ZAR. Bring a healthy dose of patience/ community spirit and a healthy appetite! Food is fantastic and so is the coffee. Being new in the neighborhood, I’m sure this will be a firm favourite and much frequented place!

Just walking around Giovanni's is a culinary adventure! If you're not hungry when you walk in, you will be soon enough. Everywhere you look, there are shelves and shelves of food. There is a large variety of baked goods and ready-cooked food. The dining area was chockablock, and people were waiting for a table. We bought fresh bagels and butternut soup to take away. Luckily, we bought extra bagels because we ate some in the car on the way home - delicious. And it was honestly the yummiest butternut soup I've ever bought. I chose some nougat and Turkish Delight while I was browsing, but put them back because they were overpriced by comparison.

Great deli to get a sandwich here in CPT. Get a basket from the counter, grab a bread you like, and then tell them the fixings. Such a good variety of cold deli sides as well, and nice staff at the espresso bar. Truly a gem of a place

First visit to Giovanni's. A deli with a wide variety of food. Almond croissants were delicious. So was tge croissant with ham & cheese. My choccochino was unfortunately not hot. Busy, so go early. Lends to an Euopean vibe.

Always a great experience at this local authentic Italian deli and coffee bar. Amazing food, coffee and goodies on the shelves. Expect to hear some Italian at the bar with locals popping in for an espresso and a chat. Ciao till next time...
