Found inside a liquor store (with a great selection, if you're a drinker), Gita Pita is a hidden gem! They're a small casual space in the corner of the store with tables and seating if you want to eat there, but most of the people we saw while waiting on our food were take-out customers. Gita Pita doesn't really feel like a restaurant, and I think most other customers agree. It's more like one of the stands at the food court in a mall.
They offer a handful of Mediterranean dishes, and from what I saw, they were popular. Tons of orders were coming in and people were filtering in and out to pick them up! However, we already had lunch, so we just ordered some falafels. Each falafel is only 80 cents, and they are handmade and fried right in front of you! Of course, they have the traditional tahini and tzatziki sauces, but they also have a garlic sauce, which was my favorite. You've got to try the garlic sauce! The falafels and sauces were fantastic. Crisp, fresh, delicious!
To top it all off, the lady making all of this happen all by herself was so sweet. Despite being so busy, she was very cheerful and made our wait time go by quickly with her friendly conversation!
