Gita Pita

I was walking and found this Mediterranean restauraunt. Awesome find because the food is fresh. The prices are great and they play music. They also sell liquor, so if youre looking for a liquor store close to downtown, heres one. They on top of that sell normal convienence store items. I will have to come back more often. This baba ghanouj bowl tastes great

Inside red zone. I had falafel with tahini, the falafel is made to order and the tahini along with all the other sauces are made in house. You can dine in as they have a separate seating area. Really good and worth a visit.

Gita Pita is located inside the RedZone convenience store. I chose the Chicken Shawarma bowl with hummus, Greek fries, and Falafel. Yum! The food was really good and fairly priced. I failed to get her name, but the employee was attentive, and we had a nice chat while my food was being prepared. While I was there, a young man came in who eats there a few times weekly (you know it's good when that happens!). I'd recommend GitaPita.

I've loved this place ever since it opened. The pitas are chewy and warm (the pitas of dreams), they don't skimp on the protein or veggies, and everything is consistently delicious. And now I have an even deeper appreciation for them after last night. After my Uber Eats driver incorrectly marked my order as picked up, and then failed to show up with my food, Gita Pita cancelled the order on my behalf and arranged for another driver to drop off my order, free of charge - and it was correct, still warm, and - of course - perfectly tasty. Given that most restaurants would keep the order and give it to an employee, this shocked me in the best possible way. Keep it up Gita Pita - y'all are such a great addition to the New Orleans dining and hospitality scene!

I can't say good enough things about their food AND their service. Their flavors are so good they actually have me eating Shawarma which I normally don't like! Also their pita is chewy and warm and really good. We regularly order from them through Uber Eats and most recently they even forgot to send me a part of my order so I called them and the girl who works there was so nice, immediately took responsibility and then her equally nice manager spoke to me and more than fairly resolved the issue! Recommend 10/10 and will continue to be a loyal customer.

**ATTENTION OWNER OF THIS GITA PITA! Food is wonderful. Usually order from door dash but decided to go in this time. Food was great as usual; however the African American lady fixing the food with glasses and blue/blonde hair needs to get as far away from customer service as possible! Absolutely horrible attitude for no reason and i was literally the only customer in the store. Would attract more customers if she was not responsible for dealing with the public! I will not be back at this location!

I’ve been trying Greek fox a lot lately and this little gem did not disappoint. The lady was patient with me because I’m new to Mediterranean. I love that fact you can dress you gyro with your choice of toppings. Food was fresh and delicious

The food is fantastic, but I felt compelled to write a review for Gita Pita after some absolutely terrific customer service with my last order. We had ordered through Uber Eats, and after two hours with no food, Gita Pita called us to let us know that the Uber driver never showed up for pick up, but they had our food prepared. The manager went out of his way to deliver the order to us himself, despite having no incentive other than to serve his customer. We were blown away with the commitment to service. They earned a very large tip, in addition to some very loyal customers.

Found inside a liquor store (with a great selection, if you're a drinker), Gita Pita is a hidden gem! They're a small casual space in the corner of the store with tables and seating if you want to eat there, but most of the people we saw while waiting on our food were take-out customers. Gita Pita doesn't really feel like a restaurant, and I think most other customers agree. It's more like one of the stands at the food court in a mall. They offer a handful of Mediterranean dishes, and from what I saw, they were popular. Tons of orders were coming in and people were filtering in and out to pick them up! However, we already had lunch, so we just ordered some falafels. Each falafel is only 80 cents, and they are handmade and fried right in front of you! Of course, they have the traditional tahini and tzatziki sauces, but they also have a garlic sauce, which was my favorite. You've got to try the garlic sauce! The falafels and sauces were fantastic. Crisp, fresh, delicious! To top it all off, the lady making all of this happen all by herself was so sweet. Despite being so busy, she was very cheerful and made our wait time go by quickly with her friendly conversation!

it really doesn't look like much, it is on the side of a car mechanic, and inside a liquor store, but it had one of the best falafel sandwiches in Nola. Unfortunately, it does not seem to be as available as it was before, so many of times, you were left with lesser alternatives. But if you want to try your luck, you should start with the falafel.

Worst food in New Orleans .. please do not spend your money here .. the food is a NO . Not fresh or clean . Kabob house or Lebanon cafe is 100 time better and fresh !!! So please don't go to Gita pita

Great food. Best take out middle eastern food in town. Blows the competition away. Their falafel is incredible
