"This quirky daytime spot in the Plateau has been dishing up its poutines (as well as a full menu of breakfast and lunch) since 1972. Everything is made in-house, so expect crispy fries, warm gravy, and squeaky cheese on the classic, plus add-ons like meats and veggies for the more creative options." - Erinn Blicher, Eater Staff
"Poutine on Plateau Mont-Royal If you are moving to Montreal or spending a few weeks on the Plateau Mont-Royal, you must pay a visit to Ma’am Bolduc. Located in a graded building on the eastern, less glamorous but more authentic side of the neighborhood, the restaurant has been in business for over 45 years and offers pretty much every staple of Québécois cuisine, including delicious poutine. Very few tourists know about this place, although the locals are more than willing to share their best kept secret in the name of gluttony. Definitely a "mingle with the locals" type of experience! Pictured above is the "Chien Chaud" (literally, hot dog) poutine, where a regular poutine is topped with tender onions and frankfurters. Bon appétit!"
This is my favourite breakfast/brunch spot in Montreal. Conveniently located in my neighbourhood but I would also make the trip to eat here. Portions are so generous and the food is so delicious. Also by far the best orange juice I’ve ever had. Staff is lovely. I love this place.

This place was absolutely delicious! We came here twice for breakfast on our trip because it was so tasty. The staff were very helpful and sweet, and as a visitor of the city, we felt very welcomed. Big portions, leaving us very satisfied and full. Will definitely come back the next time we’re in town!

A few weeks ago we wanted to go out for breakfast and instead of going to that over packed like sardines, can't have a conversation because everyone is conversing and you can't hear yourself think and overly priced on Mont Royal I had found this place amongst others that I wanted to try. I ordered the 2 eggs and choice of 3 meats. As you can see in the images we got bacon galore. As I mentioned to my significant other in my whole life I have never received this much bacon without having to pay for it. My lady ordered pouched eggs of which 1 of the 2 was over cooked. Of this plate I ordered the potatoes were plain. It could have used more flavouring such as fried onions etc. Overall we very much enjoyed our breakfast and will come back to try other dishes.

We've been coming here for breakfast and lunch for many years, even when I lived in Toronto. Things are a bit different during Covid - outdoor eating only when we were there last weekend, but hopefully things will soon get back to normal. Pics indoors were from when there was inside dining. Right now, many restaurants are short-staffed, but they work very hard to serve, so be patient and tip well:)

It is the first time I go to this restaurant and it is truly super delicious. I ordered the Lili burger and I will repeat it again.

I ordered take out and had to wait outside for 30 minutes to receive my food. I also got coffee and the server forgot about it so I had to ask for it again. The food came to about $20 and it was disappointing. I even left a nice tip and regretted after the whole experience since the server was dismissive and the food was below their Google review expectations.
It was interesting that they added a fortune cookie - kinda cute and confusing that they did that.

Fabulous service, great homely atmosphere, superb breakfast portions with fresh fruit on the side, fresh squeezed grapefruit juice, homemade ham and a comprehensive menu at a great price. What more could you ever ask for? This is my favourite breakfast joint in the city.

there were lots of menu options, really good portions , and fast & friendly service ☺️
the food was alright - everything was good but nothing that sets it to be "better" than other restaurants
