I was craving a Tom Kha Coconut Milk Soup and just happen to be in the area when my friend and I found this little gem. This the first time I eat at Giti Thai, and I loved it. The food did not disappoint . I ordered my soup with all the veggies and shrimp. The soup was tasty, the portion size was perfect (it came with a side of steamed rice) and at a very reasonable price. The staff was very attentive and nice. I will definitely return to try other items on the menu.

Found out this was a halal establishment after ordering (oops lol) - so no pork y’all! But the food here is very tasteful imo and presentation is great. Service was very courteous and professional between the 2 waitstaff we encountered. Space is moderate w/ high ceilings, clean establishment. A little on the pricier side compared to other usual Thai fares, but I definitely recommend their deliciously crispy wontons and their savory curry entrees.

Giti Thai has officially won my loyalty—not just for their delicious food, but for the way they handle mistakes with such grace and professionalism. Recently, there was a mix-up with my order. Things happen—but what stood out was the way it was handled. I called the restaurant and was greeted by a kind and courteous young man who immediately took ownership of the error. He sincerely apologized and offered to remake my order without hesitation. His tone was warm, his manner respectful, and the way he spoke made me feel genuinely valued as a customer. It’s rare to experience that level of hospitality anymore. Mistakes are inevitable in any business, but how you recover from them says everything—and Giti Thai passed that test with flying colors. The food, as always, was fantastic once it arrived. But it was the kindness on the other end of the phone that truly made my day. Giti Thai, you’ve earned my five stars and my future business. Thank you for being a gem in the community! — A very happy and loyal customer 🙏🍜💛

Went on a Sunday around 6:00 p.m. not crowded at all . There was a small party having drinks at the bar. I ordered the spicy green curry with rice which was absolutely delicious! The food came out quickly and steaming hot 🔥.My nephew ordered three lamb chops and he said they were very good. the hostess was very friendly Jared who is one of the staff was very attentive, he and the server kept checking in with us to make sure everything was good. This is my 3rd time here..before I ordered the Drunken Beef noodles. It's my favorite! All the food is delicious! Don't forget to try their signature lime cucumber lemonade! I definitely recommend this place.

I ordered the shrimp curry through Doordash. They charged $6.99 to add the shrimp and there were literally just TWO shrimp in the container! I call to complain and no one picks up the phone. What happened to getting what you paid for?!

Google
Good place to eat! Good food! Didn’t care to much for the pad Thai or pad see ew do to both dishes being to saucy for me. But overall nice ambiance. I will be back for the delicious drinks and the curry with rice dish. The veggie spring rolls were a hit.

I do not often venture away from my favorite Thai restaurant to try others. Because I like, what I like. Once bitten, Twice shy. But I had to make a trip up the hill to support this local black owned restaurant. Yes, I was curious, apprehensive and a little judgmental. Not because it is blacked owned, but because, as I aforementioned, I like what I like. Thai food is my all time favorite cuisine and I have had my share of Thai imposters, disrespectfully dumbing or "Americanizing" the Thai cuisine. But my dining experience @GitiThai exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed every bite on my plate (i.e. before and after photos). The plate presentation was 1000%. The portions and pricing was spot on. This go around visit I enjoyed the spinach 2 ways (wilted and crisped). It was tasty, but a little too salty from either fish sauce or a combo of Thai soy. The shrimp satay and sauces where delicately well balanced flavor. The jasmine rice was perfectly cooked. The cocktail menu was pretty creative. I like a good old fashion. Their version was made with soju. But it tasted like a light black tea infused spiced bourbon, minus my orange slice. But 8/10. Heyyyy Los Angeles, Windsor Hills, and surrounding areas, don't sleep on this wonderful gem on the Hill.

Google
It was so nice to eat in a local, small neighborhood restaurant, Thai at that, winning! The staff was friendly and welcoming. We had the spinach with beef, it was tasty. We asked for medium heat, but there was no heat and the chilli flakes we added were pretty weak. But the flavor was good, the beef was tender and cooked well. We also had the Panag Curry, it was also tasty but no heat. Egg rolls were good. But the vibe was super chil, parking was easy, not to pricey, serving size was good. Will go back. Loved the art work, the most!

Yelp
Deeeelicious! I would have given 5 stars but I requested Spicy based on another review saying mild was not spicy at all, and I think my request may have been overlooked (pick up order). My full order was the Yellow Curry w/ chicken, Giti Fried Rice w/Shrimp and Veggie Spring Rolls. All were very well seasoned and didnt even need the protein. I will order the Fried Rice w/out meat next time, very garlicly just how I like! The Yellow Curry, shut up is perfect if you know your curries! Very creamy and rich, so again will not add protien next time. This dish stands alone nothing else needed besides the rice it comes with. Thank you will dine in next time w/a cocktail! And was introduced to you from "Insecure" thanks Issa!

Yelp
I'll start by saying Layla, the girl with the brown/blond hair one of the servers at this restaurant is going to cost this place so much business. I have never in my life been to a restaurant where immediately upon walking in the door I was made to feel that I didn't belong. I can't imagine who she thinks she is but she has no clue how to do her job. If you are a server your job is to make paying customers feel welcomed and well served. My friend and I walked in and immediately as if she was judging us in some way she had the nastiest vibe/attitude for the fact that we didn't know her nor did we come in displaying any reason for that kind of treatment. We were seated and it didn't get any better. Somehow Layla told me both of the Items that I wanted were unavailable. I believe that however the attitude didn't change. I did not tip her and I'm the kind of person to tip for good service. I hope she matures and learns how to treat people because she will never hold a well paying job with that kind of nonsense.

Yelp
When, I first entered I wasn't sure if they were open. But once inside the ambiance is nice. They have IG photo corner (which we took advantage of). Our waiter/server was not very talkative, but took our order in a decent time frame. I ordered Thai yellow curry with med heat & added chicken, which was spicy and my friend ordered tofu with broccoli with mild heat. The curry was delicious, but the texture of chicken was weird. I would get the curry again just without meat and I would order 2 amounts of rice. The tofu was fried and the sauce was delicious.

Yelp
We are big Thai food fans and really enjoyed the food here! The Panang lamb chops were a unique dish so we had to try it and are so glad we did. The lamb was cooked perfectly and the curry was a great flavor. The green curry and drunken noodles were also delicious. We're not big on spice so got medium and it was perfect. I like that the drunken noodles are a little sweet. Cucumber lemonade and Thai tea were also great. All in all great food, quick attentive service, and good size portions. We'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Letia S.

Yelp
This was one of the best Thai places I've ever eaten in life and definitely in LA. It's so damn good and flavorful. I'm vegetarian and got the veggie egg roles, pad see ew with eggs and no meat, and the garlic green beans. I still have no idea what "fragrant eggs" mean but I'm definitely going back and would encourage you to try it too! ...honestly I might go get some now...

Yelp
I had the pleasure of coming to this casual dining spot while visiting family in California. I love Thai food so when my cousin suggested it I was all on board. I order the vegetarian rice with added rice protein. It was okay I have had better. It was a three. However, the Green Curry with added vegetables omg! Was probably one of the best things I have ever encountered. My mouth was happy and my feet did the little happy dance. The rating for this is a 6 out of five. We also had vegetarian egg rolls they were okay nothing to fan over. They deserve a 3. We order Sake as well. One was so good the other not so good I combined them together to give a 4. Dexter our server has to be the nicest young man I have met. Dexter is a 5. Final rating is 4.2. Try it for yourself you may like it.

Yelp
We were seated pretty quickly, but it took the server a while to take our order. Based on the reviews, I expected the food to be mid, at best. But my food was actually pretty good. The only issue was the rice they served was clearly not fresh. Fresh steamed rice is a major pillar of pretty much any Asian cuisine, so that was unfortunate. When we asked them to replace the rice with fresh rice, it was much better! I would go here again for sure. The vibes were definitely on point in terms of music and atmosphere.

Yelp
We visited for the first time and overall the food and service was excellent. On a Sunday afternoon, there was no wait but it seems like the locals mostly order to go. Food: 5/5: Chicken won tons. Very flavorful. 5/5: Green beans (so delicious, these are a must!) 5/5: Drunken noodles (so good!) 4/5: Green curry. My daughter said the next day it was even better (she the ate the leftovers at work). 3/5: pineapple fried rice with no cashews (nut allergy). Something tasted off maybe an odd spice. Next time we will order the regular fried rice. Facility: tables and dishes were clean. Plenty of free parking in the lot behind and also some street parking in front. Service: 5/5. The people that helped us were beyond professional and nice. We will definitely be putting this place on rotation when we're in the city. We really liked the food so we will be back!

Yelp
Yo, Giti Thai is the spot! From the jump, the ambiance hits you--amazing artwork and a vibe that's straight fire with good music playing in the background. It's a whole mood. Now, let's get into these dishes. The drunken noodles? Absolute flames. Full of flavor, it's hands down the best I've ever had. Seriously, 10/10, no cap. The Giti fried rice is another banger, just bursting with flavor. That one's a solid 9/10. Didn't snap a pic, but trust me on this--the green beans with garlic sauce are a game changer. Super flavorful and delicious, easily a 9/10. The lamb chops, though, were a bit hit and miss. Two were perfect, but one was overcooked and dry. The sauce that comes with them is clutch, though. So, I'd give it a 7/10. For appetizers, the vegetable egg rolls were fresh with a nice crisp. Perfect start, 8/10. And the crab rangoons? Freshly made and that dipping sauce is everything--another 8/10. Oh, and don't sleep on the cucumber lemonade; it's bomb and super refreshing. Service was pretty solid, too. The staff was really nice and kept things smooth. Overall, Giti Thai is a must-visit. Get ready for a flavor-packed experience and good vibes all around.

Yelp
The flavors were great in every dish. Could have used a little more chicken in the add on with the curry. Other than that everything tasted great and fresh!
google avatar

Indigo B.

Yelp
The service was great and the bathroom was super clean. We had the pad thai, green beans, yellow curry, lamb, Chicken Teriyaki and crab fried rice. Literally everything was good
google avatar

Andres C.

Yelp
Good taste, and fair food portion. Service can be improved, specially bring all the plates at the same time, instead of one by one. For a party of 4, by the time the last plate came out, the first one was already cold.
google avatar

Kimmy H.

Yelp
Food service ambience were all excellent. Give it a try You'll love it!! We also tried a delicious cocktail with brut champagne, mint lemonade, not pictured, but it was really good. It's a must try.

Yelp
Enjoyed the food immensely, but the service needs a bit of work. It wasn't super crowded when we arrived, average size crowd. They brought out my sister-in-law food before mine (she was done eating when I got my food); they didn't have the ingredients for two of the drinks that I ordered, and they were even out of the beer I tried to order. But the food was delicious; I just wish I could have enjoyed it at the same time as my sis. I will go back and give them another try because the food was good.

Yelp
My first time here today. Very good food. Everything was exceptional, fresh, and hot. The only thing was the crab lagoon didn't have much crab in it and had more cream cheese than anything, but nevertheless still good. The wings were delicious probably should go all flats but the drums were very tasty. Pad Thai shrimp was very scrumptious. The dish was hot through and through. The customer service was good. Thanks you, Chris for a pleasant dining experience. Last, but not least the ambiance is exquisite. Just a chill great vibe. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking to have some yummy Thai food.

Yelp
I had revisited this spot after my initial introduction. On my initial few visits - the product being produce was not good. Flavors were off and their original eggs rolls were less than desirable. Service was long and the owners did not seem to care. I was asked to try them out again by a friend in the community. To my surprise they seemed to turn it around. They had a new manager running the place, added cocktails and the food was pretty tasty. I fell in love with their Curry - thick, very flavorful and a large portion. All their other dishes seemed to be on point. Service still needed to be worked on but it seemed they were going in the right direction. Just revisited them the other day and unfortunately, their product that they're producing was not consistent. I hope they work on that. Bland Thai food is not the business...

Yelp
I went to Giti with a friend that was visiting from LA last month, because she loves the show Insecure and the place was mentioned on there. It was hard to find where to enter at first (you have to enter from a side door), but once we were inside it was cute! Loved the neon sign with the swing to do photo-ops and the overall vibe. We ordered the Giti wings, Pad See Ew and fried rice with chicken added. Everything tasted delicious! Now, to the not so great part. We noticed there was a bar when we first entered, so wanted to get a drink. Our server said there was no menu and proceeded to say everything they had from the top of her head. Impressive, but felt the need to make a decision on the spot. About two times she mentioned they had something, just for them to be out. We finally each got a glass of Stella Rosa, not being aware of the cost until we got the bill. TWELVE dollars per glass. And we each ordered two. Almost $50 for 4 glasses of Stella??? I could buy two magnum bottles for less! This is why a drinks menu is important. Finally, we were only given about a ten minute warning that we'd have to leave because there was a private event happening soon. Why weren't we told earlier? Or a sign informing patrons that were walking? It just all seemed unorganized.

Yelp
More like 3.8 stars! Heard about this place while at an event down the street, decided to check it out a few days later when my cousin and I were having an all BLACK OWNED day. The first visit was great, the ambiance was a vibe, food was delicious, and the service was great. We enjoyed it so much we circled back a few days later, but it wasn't the same. We ordered the same food, but pad Thai was almost inedible too much sauce and something else we couldn't put our taste buds on. And the rice had too much soy sauce if not ss it was the salt seasoning something had it tasting different. Waitress seemed a little overwhelmed this time, but I think she was new. Overall, I'd definitely visit again. I will probably try something different.

Yelp
Just saw the review from Try guy so I decided to try them since it's not far from my house and I love Thai food. I ordered shrimp fried rice and drunken noodles with veggies. I did Uber eats and the food arrived fast. Great service. I appreciate the bag being stapled and secured. The rice was very flavorful but the shrimp lacked flavor. I'm pescatarian and could have done without the bland shrimp. The drunken noodles were also flavorful and delicious. Gonna add this place to my rotation.

Cam T.

Yelp
I was so excited to try this place, especially since it's so close to home! Unfortunately, my experience didn't live up to my expectations. When my party and I arrived, we were greeted by a very polite host who informed us that the cook was running about 30 minutes to 1 hour late. While I understand that unexpected things happen, this felt unprofessional for a business, especially during posted operating hours. I love supporting Black-owned businesses in my neighborhood, but it's frustrating when there's always "something"--whether it's businesses not being open during their advertised hours or situations like this, where staff aren't ready to serve customers. I really hope this was just an off day because I'd love to come back and give this place another try. Maybe next time!
google avatar

Gabriel P.

Yelp
We ordered take out from here and the food was great! Unfortunately one of our orders was wrong. we asked for a dish with no meat and it had meat in it. We felt bad for the vegetarian they closed by the time i brought it back home. I highly recommend. It might be a good idea to double check your order for accuracy before you leave.
google avatar

Brianna R.

Yelp
Ordered the Tom Kha soup to go. I haven't had this soup in a while but it's one of favorites. First time trying the one here and it's really good! One of the most flavorful ones I've had. Minus one star because it doesn't come with protein. I got medium spice and it you don't like heat, just get it mild. It's a great soup to have on a colder day. $16 for about 2 servings.

Susan C.

Yelp
The ambiance is welcoming to everyone with mellow music in the background. Bring your best appetite because you'll want to try it all. Fresh tasting, not overcooked is par for any course. We had yellow curry chicken, green beans, lamb chops, teriyaki chicken & pad thai. Everything was fire!! We even ordered to go so we could enjoy a second day.

Kevin B.

Yelp
Chileee the Thai food was thaiingggggg dowwnnnn , everything was so flavorful and Delicious. My favorite items were the lamb chops , yellow curry , and the teriyaki chicken . Great service as well , I'll definitely will be coming back.

Yelp
This place was a suggestion from one of the parents at the nephew's basketball game. Again, this is not going to be a beer review (truly do not know what is happening to me). I ordered the Giti Lamb Chops. Excellent is not a strong enough adjective. These chops were so tender! I cut one with my fork. The chops are served with a salad and rice. There is also a slightly spicy sauce that accompanies this pleasure. Service was outstanding and quick. I also ordered a T.B.T. To drink. The smoked soju and Thai tea mixture is extremely comforting and flavorful. My waitress Shianire (hope I got that right) was the perfect host. Just met Brandon, one of the owners, and told him I will return. He says most of the staff is new or in training... you wouldn't be able to tell these are not seasoned pros. So that's how we are going to treat them upon my return

Matt S.

Yelp
My brother in law brought us here as he was excited to try some LA food spots since he lives in Northern California. Overall the food and service was alright, but nothing that we would go back for. We got pad Thai, orange chicken / broccoli, curry, and I won't get into specifics but ultimately he regretted this was the first stop on his trip and stay here. What made it even worse is that it is pretty expensive for the serving size. Typically at traditional thai restaurants we order a few different things and share among the table, but these were not shareable servings and the flavor was a lil off on said items .

Cristina A.

Yelp
Went today with my family to celebrate my birthday. In total we were a party of 7. We waited a total of 1 hour and 45 minutes to receive 4 plates only. Half of my party did not eat . It is honestly crazy that in one hour fried rice was not ready which was one of our plates ordered. We also ordered a soup and we found hair in the soup !! To add on our 4 plates were served 15-20 minutes apart and one by one they came out. Disappointed as my family and I have been here before . Won't be coming back .
google avatar

Angie C.

Yelp
Had panang curry with chicken. Today the flavor was off. I was also surprised to see the smaller portion size. The container was smaller and not even full. I guess that was ok for us today because the taste was off. Had Giti fried rice which was good.
google avatar

Jessica B.

Yelp
Giti Thai! Wow what an aesthetically pleasing restaurant. Many of the newer restaurants typically have a great vibe but seem to fall short on service and food. However, everyone at this restaurant was welcoming and gave great suggestions since it was our first time. If I could give beyond 5 stars I would. The food was great we ordered two orders of the Giti Wings, Fried rice, Pad Thai and the Green Curry. Everything was flavorful but the clear winner is the Green Curry. Give this restaurant a try, I guarantee you will want to go back.
google avatar

Yelp
Not only is the food amazing but they now have thee tastiest and cutest drinks! I'll be frequenting a lot more! This place is the one!

LA R.

Yelp
Tom kha is the absolute best!! veggies only will get you through this cold season. Medium on the spice to help break down the mucus.
google avatar

Victoria S.

Yelp
I have been to Giti a couple of times and bragged on the service I recvd from the owner himself (Brandon) and the food was impeccable! But today 8/9 I went to satisfy my pallette as I knew Giti would get the job done. Well...I asked to be seated outside and I was told by the server that she would cone outside to me. She seated me with the fopd menu and a drink menu(mow.my mouth is salivating). She immediately brought me water and then 10 mins passed and not one if the 3 servers I saw came to take my order. After 15 mins I left...DISAPPOINTED.

Yelp
Amazing food ! So good 10/10. Great service, beautiful ambiance, and the food was delicious. My favs was the wings, curry chicken, and fried rice !

Yelp
I love this place. Absolutely delicious Thai food. If you're in the area, you have to come check this out. The employees are great and I loved the space inside. The food was phenomenal. I love the yellow chicken curry and had an amazing flavor and it satisfied my needs. I will be coming back amazing restaurant.
google avatar

Theodore C.

Yelp
The look of the restaurant is awesome. The Theme supported the food type. Its lively and welcoming. The energy was active and positive. I was excited and ready to order everything on the menu (which is small allowing them consistency each time out). I ordered Thai Salad, Green Curry medium spicy and Teriyaki Chicken. All were Delicious. Competitive price points. Plenty of parking in the lot behind shopping center. Moving forward they will be atop my list when it comes to Thai food.
google avatar

Brandon P.

Yelp
Great food , great customer service and the ambiance is great. My friends all raved about the chicken wings and that I should get them. I ended up grabbing the curry chicken and it was amazing !!! I just wish I had more rice. I grew up in ladera and this was my first time trying this, I wish I would of knew about this place before lol

Yelp
While at a wine tasting in Windsor Hills I noticed Giti Thai. Upon seeing them I was reminded of a YouTube video (LATRYGUY) raving about the food and service. Brought my husband along to give them a try. Was greeted as soon as we entered the restaurant, space was clean including the restroom. Vegetable appetizers were crispy, tasty and fresh. Here's where it went wrong...I orderedthe lamb chops accompanied by a side salad. Husband ordered teriyaki chicken. I needed a steak knife to cut the lambchops. The waitstaff searched for one to no avail. As you can imagine the chop was getting colder and tougher. I was offered a butter knife instead. UNBELIEVABLE...A FULL SERVICE RESTAURANT WITHOUT KNIVES. Will never patronize them again.
google avatar

Christina L.

Yelp
First off, I appreciate more diverse food options becoming available in our area. Unfortunately this was a no for us. What brought me to try the restaurant was Alex, the LA Try Guy which I follow on IG. Well, we were sadly dissatisfied with our food. The green curry was extremely thick, portion size was about average. I've had green curry in many Thai restaurants, but never this thick gravy like base. Next we had the pad see ew with chicken which was disappointingly bland. It was also pretty white in appearance, I've usually seen it more brown with rich flavors coming through. Last we had a Thai tea which was about average size, just tasted off. It was pretty watered down. Being that the prices are on the higher side, we expected more. We want to support our local businesses, but there's some work to be done. Maybe it was a busy afternoon, IDK, but I don't think we'll be back.

Yelp
Right away when I walked in with my family we were in awe of the beautiful mural in the lobby which was painted by a tattoo artist, most usual. In fact, one will come to find this restaurant is very unusual but in all the right ways! To start off I got a free drink on the house of the mint cucumber lemonade which might just be one of the tastiest & refreshing drinks I have tasted in a while! Then the chicken satay was phenomenal, the chicken was cooked to perfection and was the ideal sharing appetizer. I got the panang curry which has such a fragrant and layered flavor, the only downside is that I hate frozen peas in any dish and I wish the carrots were cut different (picky I know). With that being said the chicken was tender and the portions were very generous. Our waiter was attention, friendly, gave great suggestions, and dealt with our neediness, we are the type to almost always say "yes" when asked "can I get you something". Then the restaurant manager came over and asked how our food was which is always a sign of excellent costumer service. More than that though he went into explaining the history of the restaurant and how it was started by a 70 year old couple with a dream and how he came into the business to help not only them but the community. This restaurant is not only about food, but about community and branching different communities together while providing high quality food. We also were gifted a free mango sticky rice which was the best way to end the night. I hope nothing but successful for the owners of this restaurant and their desires for their business.

Ashley A.

Yelp
Food is delicious! I dined in and have used takeout. It's a great edition to the neighborhood and I'll be eating there again! My fave is the giti rice, yummmyyyyyy!
google avatar

Ashley H.

Yelp
This is one of the best Thai restaurants in the city. As a vegan, who is gluten-free, it can be really challenging to find restaurants that cater to my needs. Not only was the staff more than accommodating, the owner branding came over to the table to ensure that my food was prepared properly, and the dish was phenomenal. The chef created something custom for my dietary, and it was betterthan the food that's on the menu. And the food that they have is incredible. Definitely a wonderful restaurant to frequent for locals in the area, and vegans all over.

Rhonda B.

Yelp
Service, food and portions were fabulous. I will be back with others. Our waitress was so kind, patient and made the right decisions. Thank You

Yelp
Love your guys's food but please come to Ktown. If you're opening a new restaurant, IT MUST BE in koreatown.
google avatar

Andrea H.

Yelp
I love this place and I've been sooooo many times as it's a few minutes from my house but this time I got served raw chicken and I'm sad because Uber eats won't give me my money back lol. I love this place so much that I want my money back JUST to place another order But since I couldn't eat the satay I basically paid $40 for some rice and that's it.

Jonathan M.

Yelp
This a cool local spot, felt very welcomed and the service was outstanding. Was greeted and quickly attended. Waitress answered all my questions regarding food options and drinks and ended up getting the Drunken noodles. Portions were perfect and everything tasted fresh and well balanced.

Leon B.

Yelp
Food was much improved from my prior visit. New menu and decor . They also serve cocktails .

Yelp
This place has gone downhill as far as food. There was little burnt piece of crab in the crab fried rice. The whole dish tasted burnt. The curry chicken had very thin shavings of chicken in it instead of chunks. The curry had a greasy pastsy taste to it that coated my lips. The egg rolls tasted like any egg rolls you would buy in the frozen section of the grocery store. When I ask the server about the lack of vegetables in my shrimp and vegetables, egg rolls. I was told they come delivered frozen from an outside sorce so they don't have any control over them. The only thing that was good was the iced tea.

Yelp
Great service and environment. Food was a bit spicy, but still enjoyed it. I definitely recommend going here.
