Not from area. In town briefly and always looking for a good pizzeria that makes Sicilian style pizza. Cute inside. Atmosphere seemed friendly and casual. Service was friendly but very slow. Order wasn't difficult but didn't come out accurate the first time. Corrected but very slow. Food was ok. Glad we tried it, but probably wouldn't come back.

Our waitress was super friendly and kept our drinks filled without being too intrusive. I decided to try something new and got the caprese which was simple but delicious. Nice plump slices of tomatoes that tasted vine fresh with none of the mealy texture that comes from hot house tomatoes. The kalamata olives provided just enough of a salty bite to really make the fresh mozzarella shine. And delicate shreds of basil added a slight herby punch. I wouldn't have minded a little bit more balsamic but all in all it set a high bar and I'm really glad I tried it. I also got a sausage roll but the caprese filled me up so much I only got to enjoy a few bites. The dough was fantastic, not too thick, not too thin with a good flavor and a nice chew. The marinara was clearly house made and delicious, none of that canned marinara flavor that plauges some spots. But the sausage was just okay. I'd probably go for a different main on a return visit but that's just me liking my sausage to have a amore aggressive flavor profile. (Not heat spice, but more flavor spice). My son got a sampler platter and he said it was all really good as well. And considering he all but inhaled the chicken parmesan I'm going to guess it was the stand out stat in the trifecta, but once we got the leftovers home they didn't survive the night so I know everything else was just as delicious based on the clean plate club standard. So all in all a great little restaurant, with great staff, and great food. I highly recommend it!

Google
First time trying this place and we will definitely be back sooner than later. We had the pizza buffet but they also offered cheese ravioli, mini pieces of Stromboli, a dessert pizza and garlic bread with marinara sauce all for a cheap price under 25.00 for two people! We left fat and happy!😊🇮🇹🍕🍝

Stopped for a quick lunch. Restaurant looks like it's stuck in the 80's. They do have lunch specials and a lunch buffet with a few pizzas, salad, and spaghetti. I had the one slice combo. The pizza was good, the Sicilian bread was too thick for me. I should've got thin crust. Toppings are $1 a piece. My friend had a pasta dish, can't remember the name. He said he wasn't fond of it. Meat sauce wasn't flavorful. Our server was nice. He was the only thing I'd come back for.

Google
Best dine in experience I’ve had in a long time. Food was beyond fabulous and service was great. Cristina was so kind and helpful and anyone that passed by our table checked on us. When asked for a to go cup for my Diet Coke, she was sweet & just brought a fresh drink to go as well as to go boxes. Been a while since I’ve been, but definitely looking forward to going back soon.

Google
Disappointed I have to leave this review, but my order was wrong. I ordered sausage but was given pepperoni. A minor detail but still a mistake that shouldn’t have happened. I called to inform the restaurant and an employee informed me I would receive a call that night from a manager to resolve the issue. Very disappointed with the lack of service due to the total price for only 2 items. Very overpriced for the lackluster customer service.

Google
One of the last great pizza/Italian places in town. Giuseppe's is locally owned and had never once disappointed. If you want authentic Italian pizza then this is the place to go. I always go for the Margherita Pizza. All their ingredients are fresh and taste incredible! I LOVE this place!

Google
Went for lunch and arrived at 11, opening time. Buffet was not available til 11:30 so ordered from the menu. Had a side salad and chicken marsala. Have had better chicken marsala, but it wasn't bad. Appreciate that they have cheaper lunch dishes of some courses. Server was attentive. They did not have bread ready for us at 11 and said they'd bring it once ready. When we left at 11:50, the buffet was stocked with bread yet we never got any. Small gripe. I've been here several times and the service is always good, the food just ok.

Yelp
I ordered take out and didn't bother to check the dining room. I was greeted when I walked up in, the staff seemed to be late teens early twenties. The pizza is good but maybe a little pricey but I definitely had no regrets with what I received. The pizza was well cooked, topping and sauce was enough... A slightly better than average pizza but you can get equal pizza for less money somewhere else. I've driven past this place for several years and decided to stop and check them out.

Jacquelyn R.

Yelp
Service was good, nicely greeted at the door. Pizza was ok- not our best and not the worst. Sicilian was very thick and tuff to cut.... Think crust cheese was simple would consider trying the specialty pies!

Yelp
This is our go to spot for some nice pizza. I also love the Alfredo and the lunch portion is plenty for me (I can only eat half of it so I can't imagine the dinner portion!). The slices are huge! Definitely a good trusty pizza spot.

Yelp
The food was great, the BBQ steak pizza was wonderful. The servers were very professional and ensured the drinks stayed cold and full. It's a small restaurant but has a a bit of an old school vibe.

Yelp
By far one of the worst eggplant parm dinners I've ever wasted my money on. You can barely find the eggplant through the mound of burnt Greasy bread crumbs. The cheese was not even fired. It was barely melted. Such a disappointment. How it got into one of the best eggplant parm categories in Augusta, Augusta must have terrible eggplant restaurants. No other excuse. Shameful

Yelp
Nice spot. The pizza was delicious. The service was outstanding. The decorations are great. The mysicwas a bit annoying. Would prefer that the music set the ambulance.

Yelp
Sadly, this establishment has gone downhill. This used to be my favorite pizza spot in Augusta. They changed ownership a couple of years ago, and things have steadily gotten worse. The service is subpar, the pizza crust is very tough, and their prices are outrageous. I had an appointment nearby and thought I would give them one last chance. I placed an order for pickup, a plain pizza, a medium white pizza, and a chicken pasta dish. When I drove through to pick it up, it was over $65! When I pointed out that their online prices show a $5 difference per pizza, the employee said yeah, someone pointed that out a while ago. Our prices went up, and we need to get that fixed. I have never spent so much money on takeout pizza. I am very disappointed at the degraded quality. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

Yelp
Best Italian spot in the CSRA! I've passed by Giuseppe's for the last decade wondering about this small place that is always busy and finally made the decision to check the place out now that my kids would be old enough to appreciate a local Italian spot. The inside makes you feel like you are inside a new York Italian restaurant, something I would not have noticed had we not just got back from New York a few months back. The food was absolutely amazing nd my kids could not stop saying how everything was the best they've ever had, to include the free bread that came alongside our fried ravioli and mozzarella stick appetizers. (Pro tip, get a side of the Alfredo sauce to dip the bread in). The main course was fantastic, I got the margarita pizza which is a true margarita pizza just like I ate on multiple occasions throughout Italy and the only place in Augusta that I've been able to find anything remotely close. The portions of my wife and oldest sons plates were massive to say the least, so there was for sure leftovers. My oldest sons favorite Italian place is in Little Italy in New York and he said it is tied with this place, and that's speaks a lot as he is a very honest food critic. My kids asks me nearly every other day when we are going back, so yes we will be back soon to try some other menu options that look amazing. If you want true Italian then this is the spot!

Yelp
I was working in Augusta and came here for dinner one night. This place was fantastic! Very casual, great service, amazing food. If you want to eat some great Italian and don't feel like getting dressed up, this is your place. I had the Brooklyn bridge, fried ravioli and the garlic rolls. Both were fantastic! The rolls are soaked in olive oil, lots of seasoning and marinara sauce. The Brooklyn bridge is a huge plate of food with lasagna, chicken parm and Alfredo pasta. The fried ravioli was a tasty appetizer. Everything was delicious. Huge portions. Service was very good, which is rare these days.

Yelp
I placed a pickup order and the calzone was good. Tiramisu was frozen which was a bummer but once thawed it was good.

Yelp
Their pizzas are great and you can order partially cooked to take home and finish. Also great customer service and a great place to watch Sunday football.

Joe S.

Yelp
They need to learn how to make al dente pasta and authentic italian sauce. This is the crux of an italian restnt. The pasta is likely pre -cookec for speedy rush hr. prep. and an ad hoc spaghetti sauce is added (tomato paste, sauce+ some cut up veggies + meat tossed in pan fry). Our pasta dish was mushy and had a strong tomatoe paste aroma. The single slice pizza was a reheat with toppings thrown on top after the fact. Very $$$ for what you get or expect. We know labor is tough but short order cooks will not do. Train and retrain plze. if u wish to have repeats.

Yelp
I hate to give this review because Giuseppe's used to be one of our favorite places to go for Italian. Admittedly we haven't been in well over a year but we were in the area today so swing by. My husband ordered the lunch portion of the Eggplant parm. It was incredibly overcooked to the point you couldn't really tell that it was eggplant. I had the chicken Alfredo, which I didn't think that was possible to even mess that up but apparently you can when you DROWN the pasta with the sauce. I wish I had taken a picture because it looked like Alfredo soup. But I took a couple bites hoping that it would taste better than it looked - it didn't. It was somehow overwhelming on the garlic yet still bland. After reading some of these reviews here I'm going to chalk it up to the new ownership. Sad.

Yelp
Great food, service and atmosphere. My family loves eating here ,I recommend it to anyone that loves , delicious Italian food. We often bring out of town guess here for a special treat.. Everyone so has enjoyed their meals .

Yelp
Sicilian pizza was good but toppings were very very light for a $34 pizza. When will pizzarias realize that people comeback more.often when the toppings are aboundant. Most of the staff was pleasant once you got past the employee balancing meal tickets at a table while on the cell phone with the speaker on...very unprofessional. Still a very comfortable environment, hasnt changed in the 30 years its been open. Not sure I will drive the 10 miles for a pizza with hardly any toppings...even with extra cheese it was a task to find it.....

Yelp
Wow! First time here, heard lots of good stuff about Giuseppe's, it's all true! What a great little ristorante! It takes me back to the places we went to when I lived in New York. The lunch buffet had a good variety of pizzas, plus spaghetti and breadsticks. The spaghetti sauce was really good, not sweet like you find in most southern restaurants; it was true Italian! I can't wait to come here again and order from the menu. I'm already looking forward to the bolognaise and the ravioli.

Bobbi L.

Yelp
I got a chicken parm sub from here and it was horrible. Just one thin over cooked, dry, chewy and greasy piece of chicken. Did not eat it, did not give it to my dogs, it went straight to the garbage. I strongly recommend skipping this item. I do not know what they thought they were making but it definitely was not a chicken parm sub.

Boozer L.

Yelp
I haven't been to this place in a long time since moving but it was my favorite spot to go to for some good Italian food. I always get the baked ziti or baked penne pasta. I can tell the marinara sauce has changed somewhat but it was still good. The garlic bread is always good. I ordered pick up and only had to wait briefly for service. It's a nice quaint place to eat.

Yelp
Stopped by on our way home and so glad we did!!! We had the garlic cheese bread as an appetizer and it was phenomenal! We then ate a 2 topping thin crust pizza with pepperoni and sausage with extra cheese. Oh my!!! The sausage was amazing, not to hot but tons of flavor. Plenty of pepperoni and cheese. And the crust was delicious. We're stuffed!!! Our waitress was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the food and restaurant. The restaurant itself was quaint but welcoming. We will definitely be back when we are in the area.

Yelp
Customers waiting in the line at the counter and cars lined up at the window while some employees are standing around. A lady in the kitchen is is making the salads is also eating her bowl of spaghetti.. very unsanitary. Our food was sitting in the window for 15 minutes. The time before they gave us the completely wrong Togo order. We hope Giuseppe's can improve.

Yelp
My family and I stopped by this establishment heading back to Mississippi and what a mistake it was. We ordered a large pizza and requested certain items but wasn't presented with them on our pizza but was certainly charged for 4 toppings that were missing. The ham toppings were placed on the pizza and not warmed as the others were. I complained about it but the manager did absolutely nothing. We paid for extra cheese and did Not get it. Management came to the table and looked at the pizza and replied "I do see extra cheese." At this point eveverything just turned comical as the staff was completely out of sync and playing the Blame Game on each other. The food was TERRIBLE!!! I don't even have the energy to finish writing this review any further. This exexperience was HORRIBLE!!!

Yelp
Another fine meal at Giuseppe's. Wife had her potato pizza & I had a regular pizza. Service was cordial & dinner quite enjoyable!
google avatar

Yelp
The ravioli has NOTHING in it. The pasta was disgustingly bland. I spent 80 bucks on food, ate maybe 3 bites of everything I ordered and tossed it. The Anti pesto looked so bad, like left over charcuterie board items. It tasted like everything was bought at Costco, reheated, marked up and sold as Italian food.
google avatar

Steve M.

Yelp
Was wondering why my sub was so thin, they served me half meatballs and still charge full price. Check your food before leaving this place
google avatar

Gloria K.

Yelp
I had a party of 20 guest ; find them ahead of time that we were coming. They had the tables all set up and ready for us when we arrived. And they put extra pizzas in the oven for us . The food was delicious and great service. If you suck, Restaurant, that can accommodate a large group of people this is The Place, they make it happen !
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
Food -- when it arrived, was mediocre at best. Nothing very creative in the menu, but our biggest problem was -- for a party of four -- our meals arrived over the course of 40(!) minutes. So some significant issues between the servers and the kitchen. Probably a safe choice if you are just going for pizza.

Greg G.

Yelp
Food and service is definitely not the same.. don't go for lunch unless you order off the menu. Buffet is a joke !

Yelp
As a first timer coming to this location, my experience was wonderful. Even though it is Italian inspired location, the ambiance is more of a modern American feeling with multiple genres playing while enjoying the meal time. The Waitress (Keturah) was so kind and she must have known it was my first time in the restaurant. So she broke it all down by informing me that they can substitute for any sauce, for any pasta, to any seasoning........if you see it on the menu, we can combine it how you like it. So I ordered the mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. She also informed me that with my dinner portion (Brooklyn Bridge Combo Platter), which was suggested, that it comes with house made garlic bread and a side salad (recommended the raspberry vinaigrette). Keturah looked at me and said, "you are going to eat good today ". I was so excited to taste it all. Within 5mins the side salad, mozzarella sticks, and house garlic bread showed up. Salad looks like it was just tossed together but not cut into smaller pieces (like the cucumber or onions) but the raspberry vinaigrette was amazingly delicious with the salad. Garlic bread was outstanding! I kept trying to scrape up the buttery sauce that on the bottom to get more of that taste.....phenomenal garlic taste. And the mozzarella sticks were really good as well. Then the main event showed up, and I wasn't even half way done with my appetizers Keturah told me, "I'll have a to go plate for you to take home and enjoy it in a few ". She was right. I definitely took it all home except for the side salad and garlic bread. When I saw the Brooklyn Combo, it had almost a feeling of the "tour of Italy" by Olive Garden......which is one of my favorites at that location. The chicken parmigiana was absolutely cooked perfect in my opinion. I could cut the chicken with just my fork. The cheesiness and sauce was paired great together. Then I tasted the lasagna that was so lighter, in taste, then I expected. I've had lasagna that were full and thick, not just in cutting the lasagna but in eating it as well. This is one of the best lasagna's I've had in awhile. The layers fall apart with ease and each bite was flavorful that it caused me to go back for another bite. Then it was the pastas turn for a bite. The fettuccine was cooked good but that sauce.....WOW! It had me thinking what it is. I know it's Alfredo but it had another type of cheesy taste that made it so scrumptious and had me nearly licking that sauce off the plate. . Definitely recommend this place for a good time with family and friends. Very casual location. Don't expect this to be an authentic Italian atmosphere because it won't. Great service, great environment. Not only was my waitress the best and nicest, the hostess and other waitress/waiters were as nice as well. But I might be biased with Keturah, she is awesome! Definitely looking forward to my next visit at this location!

Yelp
Disappointed in the lack of teamwork and service. Is there a manager in the kitchen? There 6 6 people in front, not really working. No teamwork. We were seated and sat over 15 minutes before anyone took our order. I was amazed at how many times servers walked by us and did not speak. We gave the server our order. She brought us our salad if you want to call it that. It was bagged lettuce with a couple of cherry tomatoes and a slice of onion. Our server did not bring us our drinks until right before our meal was served. It was a joke. She checked on us when we were near done. We asked for boxes, and she dropped the check. She was quick to get our money. The lack of service and staff direction was severe enough that I will not be back.

Yelp
Pizza is good, but prices are outrageous. Costing over $30 for a large pizza, our bill came out to almost $80 (including 10% tip) for two large pizzas. The pizza was good, but the crust was unflavored compared to other places like dominos that coat the crust in garlic. We enjoyed the fact that there was a drive through. Food came out quick enough, but we didn't get any meaningful service to speak of. We didn't go inside, but the outside is just a brick building with no decorations in a large parking lot. Not the best ambiance, but maybe the inside is different.

Yelp
First time here. We tried the fried mozzarella ravioli as an appetizer, served with a side of marinara sauce, which was okay. I had the Sicilian mozzarella pizza and my eyes popped out...6 huge slices. Pizza was okay but I think I would have preferred the thin Neapolitan pizza. The Sicilian pizza was like thick fluffy bread - the pizza was good. My friend had the lunch spaghetti and meatball which came with bread and side salad. He rates the spaghetti a 3, salad a 1 (he really didn't eat it - he said it was his fault for ordering the dressing which he didn't like) and the bread was a Huge serving - my friend rated the bread a 3. Small place and service was mediocre, if that :-) Overall, our experience and pizza was okay.
google avatar

Viviana M.

Yelp
The garlic bread was raw and doughy and didn't have any flavor sadly. The rest though was amazing. We all loved the food. It was flavorful and a great size. Definitely coming back.

JasMarie127 D.

Yelp
Servers were nice but when we got our pizza the tip of the pizza was cold and somewhat soggy like an undercooked frozen pizza. My mom got ravioli and it was extremely saucy and cold in the middle. In my opinion I don't recommend this restaurant..
google avatar

Yelp
Quaint, homey, feel good atmosphere with great authentic Italian food and family like friends is what you'll find here. I've never been disappointed in any of my visits here! Food is always fresh, wine is always tasteful and staff are always friendly. I love coming here for guilty pleasure getaways for myself personally! Dine in or pick up at the drive thru!
google avatar

Sm H.

Yelp
The best lunch buffet for pizza! Hands down. ONLY downside is the pans move when trying to grab a slice, especially when they're not cut all the way through. I really wish they'd find a solution for that. I do like the size of the slices, allows for sampling all of them. Hahahaha Service is always on point (LaFrances is pretty awesome)! Looking forward to our next visit.
google avatar

Danielle P.

Yelp
The Sicilian pizza is pretty good, but pricey. You can get it by the slice, but a medium is a pretty good size. I really like the clam linguini (white sauce). Good flavor, plus it comes with a salad and some bread. Everything I've had has been to go, aside from the lunch buffet (the wings on it were the best part, IMO)

Yelp
Had 5 people. My granddaughter wanted to eat at Giuseppe 's. This was her birthday eat out and whatever is chosen by the grandchild is where we eat. The waitress was friendly and took great care of us. Our order was a Stromboli (ordered a calzone by mistake) our fault not our waitress, a Calzone, a Sicilino Penne with salad, a Bolognese, Lasagne and salad. And Mediterain bread. Everything was hot and delicious except for the bread, expecting garlic bread not even close. It was like undercooked bread so soaking butter. No one liked it. . Greeted promptly and showed to our table. Had to change out one broken chair ourselves. Food arrived in a timely manner. Not as good as the old owners but it was good. The portion amounts were really big enough for 2 to 3 people. Overall a good experience. Would return.

Yelp
Pros: - relaxed atmosphere Cons: - absolute worst pizza I've ever had in my life. - My daughters spaghetti was incredibly watery. - restaurant felt dirty

Hunter L.

Yelp
Decent food, modest prices, nice place to stop in the Augusta area when in town, great selection of pizza and Italian food.
google avatar

Yelp
Generous portions of entrees. Salad good. Garlic bread undercooked, no crisp crust, soaked in melted butter. Disappointed in my order but the pizza other customers were getting looked good so I'll try again

Yelp
1 day after the snow storm I called this location to see if they were open before I traveled out my way to put in a take out order. A young girl answered the phone immediately with an irritated tone. I asked her if they were open due to the recent snow storm and she immediately hung up on me. I was seething. I have never felt so disrespected. I immediately called back and a man named Raymond answered the phone I asked if he was the manager he said Yes. I explained to him the verbal transaction I had with the pervious employee and he then told me that I can come down to the establishment he would speak with me and the employee (I guess to see what happened). When I arrived I asked for Raymond and he immediately started apologizing saying it was the phone the employee couldn't hear me. Which was false because she gave no inclination that she was not able to hear me. To add insult to injury I asked who the employee was which Raymond along with another employee pointed out. It was a red head Caucasian young female (she would not give her name even when asked in front of management). The whole time I was talking to Raymond at the front desk she was smirking and had such a disgusting demeanor I'm not one that usually write reviews but this is the best way I could think of handling this situation with out getting physical I'm so upset I may reach out to a higher up. I don't feel Raymond handled it well as a manager and that young lady should not work directly with paying customers or needs more training.

Yelp
What has happened to this restaurant? Have the original owners sold out since 2015. My review has gone from a 5 star to 2 stars. First off sign at door says wait here to be seated which in fact turns out that you need to go straight to the middle of the restaurant where they had a hostess plinth. I eventually work out that is where I am meant to go. Wait there for ever. So many staff here just looking busy and not actually doing anything. Many of them just openly look at me blankly. Eventually we get sat down and look at the pizza menu. Loads of odd pizza variations. Nothing blurting out Italian to me, ah eventually we find the margherita. It was actually quite nice. Also beer selection, wanted something Italian. Wanted the Peroni. No Peroni in the place - hey isn't this an Italian restaurant? Would we come back - probably not because of the initial trying to get seated episode.

Yelp
Great food, family friendly and family run. I would suggest ordering and picking up or eating in. They are still the best, but have really raised their prices for delivery services.

Yelp
Soooo I've only ate at this place once before. I did not try the pizza at that time. I had instead tried the pasta because that's what I was in the mood for but I had definitely intended to try the pizza at some point. So today I finally got ahold of one. Now I will say that this place doesn't offer you the same pricing as your local dominos and Pizza Hut so if you want a budget friendly pizza then this isn't the place for you. I spent 40 dollars on a single 16 inch pizza plus the addition of two toppings and an order of garlic bread. Nevertheless this pizza is full of flavor and very tasty. If you like eating pizza I think you can order it from anywhere but if you ENJOY eating pizza then I recommend you giving this place a go. I don't believe you will be disappointed!

Rogelio C.

Yelp
I love Giuseppe's because they make you feel at home with the decor, the music, and the friendly servers. Their pizza leans toward NY Style, the best! I've tried all of their menu items, and all are delicious!

Marisa S.

Yelp
My meal was amazing! Not quite 5 stars though. I got the Chicken Parm with garlic bread and a side salad. The garlic bread had way too much garlic butter to the point the bread was kinda soggy. The side salad was basically just lettuce and one cucumber. But the Chicken Parm was delicious and great proportions! Will definitely come back here and try more dishes
google avatar

Kenya J.

Yelp
I recommend Giuseppe's to my family for a birthday dinner so I was very disappointed when they fell through. We expected the wait since it's a popular restaurant. What we didn't prepare for was for all of our first choices to be out of stock. According to our server, it was a common occurrence for the night. After asking about the meat sauce, my next choice had to be a vegetarian meal once the server informed us 'meat sauce' or beef includes pork. So warning to my fellow non-pork eaters. We left that night wishing we'd gone to Luigi's downtown.

Yelp
This was an interesting experience. I like a locally owned business, and the environment was super casual and laid back. You could tell there were a few regulars, which also spoke positively of the business. Our waitress told us she wouldn't refill our drinks until the pizza came out because she didn't want us to fill up on drinks. We got two pizzas, which was definitely one pizza too many. Both pizzas smelled and tasted amazing. You honestly don't often see potato pizzas, so I was stoked to see the loaded baked potato pizza on the menu. I asked for no onion and tomato on my pizza, and it was a delight. I had to take a lot home but it was fine because it also reheated excellently! The hubs got a Sicilian thick style sausage and pepperoni, and he seemed to enjoy it. The pies were a little higher on the cost scale, but you can't deny portion or quality.

Yelp
We ordered pizza, a Greek salad and cannolis to go through Yelp. The order got to the house in roughly 45 min. The pizza was huge! We got the thin crust and it was perfect. The salad was a little warm when it arrived, but it was ok. The cannolis were crunchy and delicious. You can tell they fill them right before they are served. No one wants a soggy cannoli.
