Wasn't impressed at all with the food the way everyone raved about. The portion sizes were small for what you paid for, the ravioli was almost crunchy, about 1/3 of the roast was fat, 3 pieces of shrimp on the appetizer, and 10 pieces of gnocchi which was also incredibly hard. I was seriously underwhelmed with what I paid for, taste wise and portion wise. Only thing on the menu that was fair priced at all was the drinks. I would definitely via for a different venue, and I never write reviews, but this one was so bad I felt I needed to.

I went to Giuseppe’s for the first time last night after friends recommended it so strongly. I was not disappointed. We sat outside which was a ice area, there was the occasional horn honk or traffic noise but generally it wasn’t noticeable which was great because it’s situated on a busy street. We got the bruschetta which was fresh and well flavored, we split the Caesar salad. This salad dressing was a bit non traditional- I think it even had some gin in it, but it was well dressed and tasty. Good croutons too. My partner got the spaghetti with clams and I got the spaghetti with shrimp and a cream sauce, both were good. My favorite was the chocolate cake for dessert. The cake wasn’t overly sweet and the frosting was especially good and the cake was incredibly moist. The service was great, I also liked how the food was delivered by kitchen staff. They employ a lot of kids that seem pretty young but they do a really good job.

Google
We were visiting from out of town and this restaurant was recommended to us. It had a lively atmosphere and the food was fine. The service was terrible. Our server essentially ignored us while lavishing attention on her other tables. I’m sure that there are far better choices for Italian food in Columbus.

Google
Excellent atmosphere and delicious, authentic Italian cuisine. Plus, they had GF bread!

Google
The Lasagna was almost $30 and it literally was awful; tasted like chef boyardee. Don't waste your money! The Tortiglioni was ok and the one virgin drink was awful. The desserts were the best part; the cannolis were amazing and the tiramisu was okay.

Google
It's unfortunate that the food, wait service, and atmosphere are spoiled by snarky host staff and a defensive owner when guests give honest feedback about their experience. I can't stomach the pattern of blaming the customer ... even if the octopus is awesome.

Google
Avoid at all cost. It has fallen precipitously from its' former level of food quality, presentation, and overall dining experience. I recently visited and it was the first time I had to send back food because it was so poorly prepared. Overall food quality is below an Olive Garden and its' peers. Prices have inched higher and higher. Hoping this is a temporary situation and that it improves greatly, quickly.

Google
Delicious Italian food with a touch of Italy. I have visited Italy (2016) and the name of this Italian restaurant and the interior decor, felt like I was back in Italy. Nice small menu with some impactful platters. I had their lasagna and it was good, a Cesar salad, and a few adult beverages. They had live music when (a Tuesday)I came to dine here. Free parking garage near by. Limited free street parking. No time limit to park after a certain time of the day. Nice and friendly staff (thank you, Liz). Decent prices.

Yelp
First time here and everything was wonderful from the greeting when we walked in to our service and food! Everything was so fresh! The tomatoes in the bruschetta were delicious! I had the Gamberi Diavlo. Delicious and pasta is made to order!!! My husband's smoked chicken ravioli was really good! We can't wait to return to this Bexley gem A special thank you to the owner for surprising us with cannolis and the perfect after drink cordial

Yelp
Such a wonderful experience! Definitely recommend reservations. Chris took me out for my birthday dinner and I have been wanting to try Giuseppe's for years. It was such a great choice and I would absolutely recommend. For Appetizers- we enjoyed table break and butter, and a side order of Brussels Sprouts as an app. Additionally we had the Polpette ($10)- Three all beef meatballs, w/shaved parmigiano reggiano + toasted bread. The meatballs will be a repeat. For Dinner, we had the Veal Piccata ($33) with sautéed mushrooms and capers in a lemon white wine sauce, served with spaghetti. I would not it was not on a bed of spaghetti, more like some spaghetti tossed around with it. I had the Tortiglioni ($16) with marinara, garlic, basil, parsley & parmigiano reggiano cheese. I added their delicious housemade sausage but no clue on what that cost was but I would have to have this dish again. It was that good. We finished off our meal with a slice of the best chocolate cake I have eaten. Make sure to check out the pics. Service was good, we did have some lag time waiting for the server to come by through the meal, but overall no complaints and they were busy. The food was great. Inside was cute, tight seating but added to the ambience. The patio looked enjoyable too if you wanted to dine alfresco, or there was even a bar seating option if there is room. It was a wonderful Birthday Dinner but I would recommend for anytime. You can checkout the restaurant and their menu at https://www.giuseppesritrovo.com/

Yelp
On 6/10/25 at 6:00P 3 piece band playing inside. The volume is so loud I can't hear myself fart. Waaaaay too loud. Food & service excellent

Yelp
Friendly greeters, wait service was wonderful, olives were good, polpette was fantastic (ordered more to go), cacio e Pepe is too thin with the wrong cheese - not authentic, short ribs were amazing, the gnocchi Emellia was good but not great, the veal piccata with extra capers was amazing. The wine could be cooler, it is served at the traditional room temperature. Will definitely come here again. The photography artwork changes every 10 minutes and is a nice touch!

Yelp
This is a busy family-filled place. Music was current. Barkeep and other hospitality staff were all courteous. Granchico was light tasting and a very nice portion. Ricotta & Pistachio cake was delicious!
google avatar

Yelp
A Bexley institution. The gamberi diavola was delicious. Their bruschetta is my go to. All the pizzas are good. All the salads are good. Great wine list.

Yelp
Every time I go to Giuseppe's I'm blown away. The food here is incredible and it's probably one of the best Italian establishments in all of Columbus. The service is always quick and everyone is very friendly. Most of the servers know is a lot about the menu so don't worry if you've never been here before. It's a nice restaurant so, depending on the hour, you might want to dress on the fancier side. Nothing crazy though . Overall, I'd definitely recommend taking a trip to Giuseppe's in Bexley!
google avatar

Kimberly H.

Yelp
I've heard such great things about Giuseppe's so I had to give it a try. We had the Bella Anita as an appetizer and it was fantastic! The Cacio e Pepe as my entree was tasty as well. Looking forward to trying other pastas during my next visit.

Yelp
This has to be the most over-rated restaurant in the Columbus area. The burrata was boring...Burrata, OO, basil and a few tomatoes. No flavor at all. The caesar salad was bland and boring. They don't even make homemade croutons. Their gf bread comes from Trader Joe's . The pasta dish tasted like straight liquor, no flavor AT all. And to boot, found two small hairs in my dish. Columbus has soooo many great dining options...this is not one of them. Our server was sweet but if you're not a regular, you're not worth it to this place.

Yelp
In Columbus for the weekend for Sonic Temple (Music festival at Crew Stadium) and my friends and decided that we needed some amazing food. Jumped in a Lyft and headed out to Giuseppe's Ritrovo. Beautiful place with some of the greatest service I have had in quite some time. Thankfully, we were seated immediately and I was mesmerized by the art work around the restaurant. Ordered the Chicken Parmesan and OMG, I'm drooling as I type this. The sauce was honestly the best I've ever had. It tasted like it was made specifically for my meal. The chicken had a nice flavorful taste to it. Highly Highly Highly recommend enjoying a nice meal at Giuseppe's Ritrovo.

Yelp
I have heard great things about this restaurant through the years..... and I got the short ribs with gnocchi. And it was just okay. The short ribs were good, but in my opinion the short ribs could have used a little bit more flavor. The services was good, the restaurant was clean. It was just okay......
google avatar

Yelp
A new place for us. Ambiance was amazing.....lot's of Italian speakers dining & working at this place. Burrata to begin was amazing & a first for me. Caesar salad next with (at my request) tons of anchovies was great. Entree of Vongole was delicious & quite possibly the hottest dish of pasta I've ever been served. (temperature) A shared dessert of Taramisu with a cappucino chaser topped off the evening.

Yelp
I see a lot of negative reviews here but our experience has always been quite decent and the last time we came here everything was excellent. The ambience inside is very nice, although we chose to sit outside, which was nice as well. A little tight but nice. The service was very good -- friendly and competent. For appetizers, we shared their beet salad without fennel -- it was quite decent. For our main meal I ordered the lamb special and it was delicious. My wife got their shrimp with mushrooms in wine sauce over linguini, and that was excellent as well. Both dishes were large so we ended up taking the dessert home :).

Yelp
Dinner was on point. Always great and service is 1st rate!! I feel like family and Chris is always the vest.

Yelp
this has to be one of the best Italian restaurants in the whole city of Columbus Ohio. I've been there quite a bit. It's family owned and it's authentic great food. I would recommend this to anyone that wants real good Italian food that's fresh. The owners are incredible people in super friendly

Yelp
Best restaurant in Columbus. We measure all others by the consistent quality of this place; almost everyplace else comes up far short.

Yelp
My mother in law brought take out from Giuseppe's over the holidays and I have been wanting to go ever since. The inside is cute with rustic details and the ambiance is warm and inviting. It was crowded and busy which is to be expected as we came at 7pm on a Saturday night. We had a reservation thankfully and were seated shortly after. The staff were all friendly and helpful but the real standout is the food. Italian is my favorite and sometimes my standards can be pretty high but Giuseppe's is on point. I had the Rossa salad which has beets, fennel, and pistachios which is an unexpected but delicious combination. My husband had the Rollati di Spinaci which tastes slightly similar to veggie lasagna. It came out piping hot and was so good! I got the Tortiglioni which is rigatoni with a garlic basil marinara that is outstanding. We took a piece of the chocolate cake to go and loved that too. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Yelp
One of my favorite places, I show up at 5:01 pm to get a seat! Drinks are always great, service spot on. This night was a little slow but with good company it was no problem. We always take 1+ hours to eat. Drinks, appetizer, salad, entre, dessert, And coffee. This time was burratta, bread, beet salad...it wasn't amazing, was more canned beet then roasted. I may not order again. Entries for the group were varied. Steak, ravioli, mine was linguini with clams (white sauce). Clams are always perfect and.honestly, everyone else cleaned their plate. We went to a movie at Drexel then back for a night cap and it was a fantastic way to end the night.

Yelp
Went to giuseppe's on my birthday in march and had a below average experience. Tried to give this place a second chance tonight and had an even worse experience. stale bread. bad pasta. service was so slow it was laughable. won't be giving a third chance.

Craig K.

Yelp
Their Italian sausage is wonderful. Think it is homemade. Service was great with an experienced staff. The place oozes with old world ambience and charm.

Yelp
Nice Italian restaurant located in downtown Bexley. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, when we came there was a live jazz band. Everything is made to order so some things may take time. We order the bruschetta, Mediterranean salad, Vongole, the spagetti and of course wine. Service was good, people waited to sit at the bar. Recommend making a reservation.

Yelp
Best Italian food I've ever had. The service is fantastic and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. The pinwheels are the best!

Carl M.

Yelp
Fantastic restaurant very friendly staff and awesome food! Highly recommended this place. This place is how an upscale restaurant should be.

James K.

Yelp
It wss delicious, BUT we had reservations for 5:30 and the food finally arrived around 6:30. The response of management was very discouraging as they acted as we should feel compassionate because they were extremely busy. No concern for the people who were paying the bill. I don't think I wil return.

Kathyrn M.

Yelp
Awesome service and food. Choice of dining in or on patio was offered. Food was delicious and their sauce was so tasty and seasoned perfectly. Pasta was cooked well and not overdone.

Yelp
The staff was super friendly and personable, my food was tasty, and it was a perfect place to celebrate my birthday. We will definitely come back.

Yelp
Always on target- the food is fresh and beyond delicious. The staff is always kind, responsive and welcoming. The short ribs, well, simply AMAZING! Food Service Ambiance (3 out of 3)!

Yelp
An excellent dinner with fabulous service. Veal piccata was superb. Pizza was tasty. Octopus starter was fabulous. My favorite Italian in Columbus.

Yelp
Outstanding traditional Itailan dishes. Everything outstanding. Always packed so that says it all! Thank you Chef!

Christopher G.

Yelp
Their food is usually very good. I have been going there since they first opened in 1996. Back then it was only half the current size and they had no liquor license. I have been a loyal customer for almost 30 years. However, I won't be going back ever again. My friend and I were put in the banquet/annex room that opened several years ago after we went to a matinee at the Drexel. It was 5:30 pm on a Saturday evening. We were the only people seated in that room. There were open tables everywhere in the main room. I counted at least ten. The host said that they were all reserved. We left without eating dinner. We went to The Top. There is no mention of reservations recommended on their website and no reservation "button." They cannot be accessed via "Open Table." I guess you have to know somebody in order to get a reservation. If reservations are so crucial, then it should be stated on their website and they should inform you of how to go about making a reservation. I'm sure I could go to my Quicken account and find out exactly how much money I have spent at Giuseppe's over the years. Let's just say it has been thousands of dollars I am sure. Goodbye Giuseppe's! I guess I am not cool or young enough for you anymore. When did you get so snooty?

Nadia M.

Yelp
My favorite Italian restaurant in Columbus! Every time I have come here has been a delight. Though the entree portions can be a bit large if you have had appetizers or salads beforehand, so maybe be ready to take something home. Dessert menu and wine list is also stellar. Loved the pistachio ricotta cake, personally. Great ambience, plenty of street parking around, and good service the three times I have been. Highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time, if you can! This is a hot spot for good reason. Buon appetito!

Yelp
This was my first time here and I don't come to Bexley for anything so when the bride and groom agreed to come to this restaurant, everyone didn't know anything about this restaurant. Once we arrived the place was beautiful on the inside I got a winery vibe from the Decor on the inside. Our party was so big they placed us in the other building that was more spacious which was fine with us. Once we received the menu that's when we realized it's an Italian restaurant. They gave us bread (hard as a rock) which is how's they make their bread. I don't eat Italian food so I'm was taken back by this. But it took Allie for us to get our food but once we got it the food was ok. As a vegetarian I asked for no meat sauce and I got meat sauce in my food anyway. I didn't wanna make a big deal because once we got Our food the light went out and they didn't have power and it was getting hot. We paid for our food and left. It was a ok experience but probably won't come Back. The manger was super nice even our waiter was nice but the ambience just wasn't for me.
google avatar

Yelp
Always have loved Giuseppie's and so glad they're back open! We came here for an early dinner and sat outside. The service from the beginning to end was great! Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable and able to make good recommendations. We shared the burrata to start. It was good, but a bit overpriced for what it was. We got the short rib gnocchi and the Bella Anita. They were both delicious. The short ribs are tender and the sauce on the gnocchi is really flavorful. The Bella Anita went well with it, as it's a bit lighter. This dish was also really good and super fresh!
google avatar

Yelp
Immediately after sitting down, the service was AMAZING!!! It honestly was a high light of the dinner. Made us all have such a great time. The waiter was so friendly and had great recommendations. They have these really cool glass water containers that we commented on and they brought us the most uniques ones they had to show us. The ambiance was upbeat but relaxing. We started off with the bruschetta and the bread was nice and crispy and plenty of toppings on top. Highly recommend. We all split the beef short rib, crabmeat ravioli and Alfredo. Starting with the short rib, wow. By far the best thing we had. The sauce was just unreal. With gnocchi and mushrooms. The meat so tinder. My mouth is literally watering as I am typing this. The Alfredo's sauce was so good as well. Nice and creamy. Chicken cooked perfect. Loved it! My only complain is do not get the crabmeat ravioli. The sauce was absolutely awful. Everything else was so good it was almost like this did not belong on the menu. If it was based on this meal alone, probably a 1 or two star review. However. Everything else was so good it's just not justice based on one thing to knock the other ones down. Espresso martini....MUST GET!! Absolutely delicious. We all got that as our dessert but one our our dinner parties wanted a cannoli. They usually give you three but the service was so good they did something special and gave one little one for him instead of all three. Love it!!!

Yelp
First time dining here, weekday night. Nice buzz of people, lots of talk and good vibes. Waitress was very accommodating and thoughtful. We got bread, appetizer, salad, pasta, desert, wine. All great. We like going to Basí but i think this is our new Italian place in Columbus.
google avatar

Jay S.

Yelp
You're paying for the atmosphere, which is pretty chic for Columbus. Great bar and drinks. As far as food, I can get this stuff anywhere, but I have zero complaints about it. Can get a little backed up at times, but the staff tries to move things as long as efficiently as possible.
google avatar

Lucy M.

Yelp
We started off with some cocktails which were delicious We opted out of getting appetizers and ordered our entrees. I had the Gamberi Diavola. The pasta and shrimp were cooked perfectly and the diavola sauce was delicious. My boyfriend had the Napoli Pizza and his cousin got the Linguine Vongole. They both enjoyed their meals and I tasted the pizza and it was amazing.

Yelp
A small quaint Italian restaurant that the locals come to often. I have been coming here for years and haven't got a chance to review. The restaurant is located across the street from Capitol University and next to the Drexel Theatre. Parking nearby is limited to street parking or a little walk away you can find a larger parking lot. We came this evening with our local friends who live in Bexley and seem to know everyone working here and dining here. Makes me feel like home everytime we dine here. The bar is always packed on the weekends and they have limited seating for larger groups so book ahead. It is louder in here given how small the space is. Reminds me of a restaurant in little Italy in New York City. They have an extensive wine list that any wine enthusiast would appreciate. I ordered the Cab-Sangioviose blend. A red blend that is not sweet and not to dry. Perfect to combine with my appetizer meatballs and caprese salad. The meatballs were tender to the fork and melted in my mouth. A perfect amount of sauce topped it with a few shavings of parmesan cheese. A must have! The caprese salad was simply seasoned with salt and olive oil. A perfect balance of heavy and light with the two appetizers paired. We celebrated a birthday and asked the waiter to provide us a few desserts. He got 4 for the table of our group of 7 and it was just enough! The chocolate cake was on the dry side but heavenly to any chocolate lover. The warm bread pudding was something that interested me. It was deliciously warm and sweet but savory with the raisins inside. The tiramisu was cold, creamy and spongy - that is exactly what it should look and taste like. We had a fourth on the plate but not sure what it was. It had pistachios and a jelly, cream texture. Not a fan but certainly tried it. Overall we had a great Friday evening enjoying the company of friends. We will come back since this our friends regular place to hang out.

Joanne T.

Yelp
The service and ambiance were both good. However the short ribs with gnocchi were so smothered/drowning in sauce I had to dig around to find ribs and gnocchi. I've had this entree before and love it. So definitely disappointed this visit. Also it was Valentine's Day and the menu was limited. Disappointed husband as he wanted spaghetti and meatballs and wasn't on menu. "Limited " menu should be mentioned when we made our reservations.
google avatar

Yelp
Really great date night spot. I've only been a couple times, but everything I've tried has been delicious. The cocktails are creative and quite strong (in a good way). Definitely could've finished the octopus and carpaccio by myself, it was so good. I ordered the spaghetti alla carbonara and really enjoyed the al dente pasta and guanciale in this dish. I also sampled the shrimp diavolo and a piccata special served with fish. I've heard great things about the veal piccata and I'd love to return to try. The Tiramisu and other desserts were good, but not the most memorable part of the meal. It's very likely I was too full to enjoy.
google avatar

Ron S.

Yelp
Really nice place. Good wine list. Excellent homemade pasta. Lots of veal dishes. Out door seating available, but it was kind of warm and humid so we sat inside. The bruschetta was amazing, lots of tomato chunks and the drizzled balsamic was delightful. My companion selected a special and I chose a veal papparadelle dish. The courses were appropriately spaced and our waiter was attentive all evening. We lingered for more than 2 hours by our own choice. I, in fact had to physically remove my compatriot before he started on appertifs. I will return here every trip to Columbus.
google avatar

Ashlee B.

Yelp
Two words: short ribs. The braised beef short ribs, paired with a mushroom demi-glace and risotto were perfection. I always say this, but I wish I found this restaurant sooner when I first moved to Columbus. It's the perfect comfort food. And I certainly needed it in the beginning of July.

Courtney G.

Yelp
Consistently incredible best food. I am actually shocked it isn't ranked higher! I've never had anything less than incredible and the entire place feels like a family.

Yelp
We love Guizeppie's. Great food and ambience, nice and attentive staff. Local place very .much loved by residents and guests

Yelp
It's not often I leave a review but the evening at Giuseppe's in Columbus was worth my time...i called from my Uber on the way out of downtown and inquired about walking in in 10 minutes.. I was told very nicely, to come on in..when I arrived, I was seated almost immediately...wasn't terribly full at 5:30, but that quickly changed...I would recommend reservations... in just a few seconds, Cierrah greeted me.. I had a beverage and warm bread with soft, tasty butter within minutes... it was quite delicious..I ordered the house salad and lasagna...food was served in a timely manner... beverage refilled without asking, food was very good, and service was perfect... several different servers were involved and all seemed on the same page...when my entree arrived, server was equipped with Parmesan cheese and grater...I was struck by the smiles and comradery amongst the staff..all looked like they enjoyed working there, and I have found that that is usually indicative of a fine establishment...place was full by now and easy to see why... good job Giuseppe and good job Cierrah.

Yelp
Celebrated my birthday here and was thoroughly impressed. Great prompt service and friendly staff. Very nice atmosphere to bring a date.

Yelp
I'll start with the good. The atmosphere is great. The service was very good. The pasta was cooked perfectly. The lemon sorbet was wonderful. I will preface the bad by saying I am from Louisiana and I am used to food that feature full flavors. Subtly is often lost on me - I am not a super taster. I got the smoked chicken ravioli. The cream sauce was a great texture and like I said the pasta was cooked to perfection but I expected to taste the smoke in the chicken - nothing. It was really bland in my opinion. My daughter got the tortiglioni. She hated it so I gave her my ravioli. I also didn't like it. It didn't hAve any particular flavor beyond tomatoes and garlic. The bread was eh. Lastly, the host we encountered was not particularly host like. He took our number and said he would text us when there was a table. He said the wait would be 30 mins. When we hadn't heard in 30 mins we came back to check in and they had lots of available tables. I am pretty sure he forgot about us. It felt like the kind of place that is very regulars centric and I could tell they love their regulars. I was jealous of them in fact . Anyway, I want to reiterate that I don't think this was "bad" Italian food. It just didn't appeal to my palate. I can tell there is passion in the kitchen.
google avatar

Sheri S.

Yelp
This place was great for some good Italian food. I must say it was very overpriced, but my favorite thing was that the pasta was truly Al Dante. Five stars for the texture of the pasta. The pasta with seafood was absolutely amazing!. On another point, The bartender and staff seemed somewhat stuffy. It really wasn't a place you felt warm and welcome. We each got pasta for dinner with an eggplant appetizer and a couple drinks each. The happy hour drink prices were better than their normal prices, but those were still very escalated. Happy hour menu was still very much on the pricey side. Would I go back? I'm not quite sure. Maybe for the seafood pasta if I had a lot of extra money to spend.

Yelp
My mom and I came out all the way out to Bexley to get my brother some Italian food, since this place appeared to have good reviews. We got there and it was CROWDED, so we were anticipating a really good meal. My mom and I ordered wine, which was solid. We ordered an antipasto platter, salads (Mediterranean style for my brother, Caesar for mom and I) and pasta -- mom did a classic spaghetti & meatballs, while my brother and I went for the Rollati di Spinaci. Service was on the slower side, even for a Saturday night, so it took us a while to get our food. When it was finally served, they accidentally gave my mother another Rollati di Spinaci, which they corrected fairly quickly once my mom pointed out the mistake. The food itself was decent; you can't go wrong with cheese and spinach and pasta, but being from Jersey, we're a little bit spoiled when it comes to Italian food, and service counts as much as food. Not bad, but not sure if we'd be back.
