The name and vibes of this place are unmatched. I can’t wait til summer to sit on the patio. I’m giving thanks to God for the brains and passion behind every crumb and morsel in this place. Donya, thank you for making my chicken salad croissant—and for the conversation and close community you shared with it.

Google
(Plant-based Reviewer) LOVE this coffee shop! This is the go to local coffee shop! They have both almond and oat milk and use illy coffee beans. My sugar and dairy loving friends and co-workers LOVE the pastries here as well. This place does it right. Highly recommend. Kudos!

Google
Give Thanks Bakery bakes up pure gold! The croissants taste like they came straight from a Parisian café flaky, buttery perfection. Their chicken salad is another standout: fresh, flavorful, and perfect for a midday bite. Honestly, everything from the baked goods to the sandwiches is consistently delicious. I stop by at least twice a week, not just for the food, but to see Donya the heart and soul of the place. As the manager, she's become a friend to many of us who live in the building. Her energy is incredible, and she treats everyone who walks in like family. You'll leave with a full stomach and a smile, guaranteed. Oh and fun fact: Donya can sing the horns off a Billy goat. Seriously. If you stop by, ask her to sing you a song. You won't regret it!

Google
The Detroit midtown location is an excellent bakery, we enjoyed the spinach and feta croissant, perfect interior texture (lamination for you hard core bakers!), great fill to croissant ratio. Simple vanilla shortbread was buttery and not too sweet, just the way I like it, and took home a semolina sesame loaf to enjoy, made fantastic toast and BLTs. If you’re looking for quality, technique and taste, come here!

Google
Value for money isnt great here. Was excited for a bavarian pretzel, but didnt really get an authentic taste. I'd expect it for the price. Sweets over here are definitely better though.

Google
Everything from this bakery is delicious (and I've tried a lot)! My favorite items are the quiches and pretzels. But truly you can't go wrong with anything here and there is something for everyone. My favorite part of this location quite frankly is the face behind the counter, Donya. She is truly wonderful and I can always count on her for a pleasant experience and wonderful recommendations.

Yelp
I just love everything about this spot, to be honest. The building and atmosphere is cozy and pretty quiet, but it's still close to downtown. The croissants? My god. Just buttery treasures. Pure joy that has been laminated and baked to perfection. The croissants get me every time, I can't even review anything else. Well, okay, I also get a coffee to go with the flaky goodness, and that is solid as well. Perfect to-go treat spot, or if you need/want to hang out for a bit and enjoy your spoils in the sweet sweet afternoon sun.

Yelp
Lovely cafe right across the street from Orchestra Hall. My daughter plays with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra's Civic Youth Concert band so I have time to burn during her rehearsals. Give Thanks is a great place to grab a pasty and coffee. The croissants are butter and flaky. Delicious. The iced latte is out of this world good. I see myself being a frequent customer.

Yelp
They make the best coffee too and way better priced than the competition in the area.

Yelp
Thank you for the delicious cookies for my Saturday family gathering. They even ate the crumbs out of the basket once the cookies were gobbled up. The best!!

Yelp
Based on my first visit, this appears to be basically the exact spitting image of its predecessor in downtown Rochester, and that is a very good thing to me. The baked goods appear to be of the exact same quality that I'm used to getting from the Rochester location, and while they're certainly not cheap, they are very, very good. But the truly wonderful thing about the place is the employees themselves, who are part-and-parcel of why Give Thanks is so great, and both employees that I dealt with were stellar in attitude and knowledge. They smile, and they're happy to be doing what they're doing, and it shows through easily. They're kind, and they know their stuff, and will helpfully answer any questions you might have. I'm actually amazed at how good of a satellite location this is...it's quite literally the downtown version of Give Thanks, and it works very well. A chip off the ol' block, if you will. Support this place!

Yelp
I was watching fox 2 news Monday. They were promoting Give Thanks Bakery In Midtown and Rochester Hills Michigan. I stopped by to check out the bake goods. I bought a assorted berry cheese tart and also a loaf of French bread. They may be a bit pricey, but the baked goods are well worth the price.. Coffee Lovers plz know the coffee is Much better than Starbucks... that's my opinion.
