My partner and I stayed here while visiting for a friend's wedding. We loved being so close to the boardwalk and the beach. So many restaurants nearby! And you're literally steps from the beach. Amazing croissants and coffee every morning. Really wonderful service from all the staff. They answered all our questions, and very kindly held our baggage on our last day after checkout since we had a late flight that night. Even let us borrow beach towels! The room we booked was small but had everything we needed and was stylish and comfortable. They warned us there may be noise from the street on the weekends when the boardwalk was hopping, but we didn't hear anything from inside. Really highly recommend.

We stumbled upon this hotel by chance — and now it’s our go-to whenever we’re in town. The staff are incredibly welcoming, kind, and thoughtful. Loved the breakfast at their own bakery — such a nice touch. The rooms are beautifully built with high-quality materials, and the location just behind the beach is perfect. Highly recommend!

Staff very friendly and location is great. Parked in a lot 2 blocks away for $25 overnight. The ones close to the beach were $45. |The deluxe queen room (No.14) was very small and rather dark as the window overlooked an alley way so there was no natural light. It was impossible to walk down the side of the bed as the gap between the bed and the wall was too narrow and I banged my ankles on the base of the bed a couple of times before deciding that crawling up the bad from the bottom was a safer option! |The shower was great but as it’s a wet room design there was no way of stopping the water getting on the floor in front of the toilet so we ended up having to mop the floor with spare towels. |Personally I think the room would be ideal for one person but not ideal for a couple. However as we were only staying for one night the location outweighed the inconvenience. |The lobby area had a hot tap so we were able to make coffee but there are no fridges in the room. |Overall a good stay but the suites are probably better if you are staying more than one night.

Location is good but it’s noisy since it’s pretty much right on the beach. The rooms are soooo beautifully decorated and peaceful and serene space away from the crowd. The guy at the front desk was so kind and helpful, he really went above and beyond. I’m so glad we found this little oasis off the beach. Just wish it had a pool and better parking but that can’t be helped.

This is a lovely hotel- worth getting a room with a sitting area if there are four of you as they are spacious and have a soho house vibe for much less money. The beds are comfortable, staff really friendly and helpful. Breakfast included is always a joy and we walked the few blocks to their cafe to collect delicious pastries every morning. It is right by the beach yet not noisy. There is space to lounge outside the rooms- more on the upper level. Safe area. Suspect it will be hard to get a room here soon. When we came they hadn’t been on the hotel platforms for long.

Little rooms on the beach, a nice place to sleep, rest, relax. Nice finishes, high quality accoutrements, a tuck away from the ocean. Most of the rooms are very small, and it’s certainly more expensive than other Venice Beach hotels, but no doubt the quality is higher, too, the value is relatively good. Set your expectations for moody modern boarding-house with indulgent flourishes, rather than palatial luxury, and you will enjoy it. Gratitude to the quality-oriented spirit of Gjelina that gives life to these rooms, a subdued cool energy to counterbalance earthy vibrant venice.

My first stay at this amazing spot. One block off the beach. Surprisingly quiet and chill. The entire staff was really helpful and warm. Felt like a regular. The room was amazing. The upstairs fireplace suite has spoiled me for all future visits. Lived like a home with space to roam and a lovely outdoor area with seating area with views of the beach. Added bonus are the vouchers for breakfast at Gjusta a short walk away. Loved it all.

We did a quick stay over in Venice and, as hotel and design snobs, we were floored by the design and decor of the hotel! The design is simple and relaxing but very intentional and everything was obviously carefully considered. We'd love to come back for a longer stay soon!

Yelp
This was our 2nd time staying here in 2024. We came for the weekend for our 10 year anniversay. If you are not a fan of cookie cutter hotels, this is the place to stay. It is eclectic and unique. We loved the room, its furniture and decor and access to the outdoor rooftop deck. The complimentary coffee and pastry at it's sister company, Gjusta Bakery, is a nice touch. Delivery service from Gjusta Bakery, Gjusta Grocer and Gjelina is a great benefit as well. The staff, Adrian, Eric, Edgar and Carrie, were outstanding! Anything we needed or wanted, they were there to help in a very professional, friendly, courteous and timely manner. Highly recommend it!
