Gjelina Hotel Venice Beach

Insanely stunning wow. I paid extra for the rooms upstairs. Probably worth it. Wow. Ive stayed everywhere and this place has a real sense of style comfort and class. My room was mostly quiet (I asked for a quiet one). Some Noise at night from planes and a constant generator. It was large and upstairs — enough for 2-3 folk. The rooms downstairs looked small and utilitarian but perfectly adequate hey and still with a sense of style. Only thing was the comforter was incredibly heat retentive. Probably a bad synthetic.

Stayed here for 3 nights. It is perfectly situated right near Venice beach with nearby restaurants. No problem getting here with Taxi and bus trips picked up outside.|It's spotlessly clean and well maintained. Amenities include TV, shower, basin and hot water always available for tea/coffee making in reception area. Cold water is filtered and drinkable. The bed and linen are good quality and comfy. |No problems with noise, although there were even ear plugs available. |Freshly baked Croissants are available with jam and tea coffee and juice every morning. The Croissant are delicious and provided by their sister bakery nearby . There is also a linked cafe and grocery store in walking distance. The food in the cafe was delicious too. |There is a fabulous roof terrace which wraps around the building with views of the beach and street. Comfy seats and tables for soaking up some sun if you have time.|The staff are brilliant. Always friendly, ready to assist with advice and help with any problems. |I'd stay here again and can recommend it as a perfect base to explore.

We had one night at Gjelina Hotel, Venice Beach, on a brief stopover in LA. We paid for a basic room. The room was small, but clean and beautifully presented. The location is perfect for a short stay, with Venice Beach on the doorstep. The staff were helpful and made great recommendations for local restaurants. Our only complaint is that the "continental breakfast" is only a croissant and tea/coffee. We weren't even able to get butter! We have travelled far and wide, and this does not constitute a continental breakfast. To include breakfast in the price is definitely false marketing! We think you can do better Gjelina!

Best place to stay in Venice Beach. I'm not a fan of everything turning short term rental, but this hotel does it elegantly, understated. "Continental breakfast" here means the best croissants in town, with lovely strawberry-rhubarb spread, good coffee, milk and juice. No on-site parking but there's lots 2 doors down. Steps from the boardwalk, on the cleaner, north end. Beautiful furnishings, filtered water system throughout. Fresh flowers in the room. Gjelina gets it right. Talk to Eric on staff- super nice guy- finally another Venice Beach local from way back! Save a room for me-

WOW! I have stayed at Gjelina twice now, once with my family and once for a solo trip. This is THE BEST hotel you'll find in Venice because it is so personal. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. The rooms are cute and clean, and the suites are stunning, equipped with a Smeg refrigerator, Our Place appliances, and a fresh loaf of Gjelina bread when you check in! I can't wait for my next visit to Gjelina to slip into the coziest bathrobe that is supplied in every room. A special thanks to Jordan and Jackson for making my stays nothing short of amazing. I will be back!!!

Hotel is lovely; very low key, with quiet luxuries like fresh bread and coffee in the rooms and daily breakfasts at Gjusta up the block. Staff were super accommodating and helpful; room finishes are cozy and understated; location is practically oceanfront and street parking is relatively available. Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay very much and look forward to returning again!

Staying at Gjelina felt like coming home to perfection in comfort, decor, hospitality and does not hurt to be steps from the beach. The staff was delightful, the layout is unique and felt more like being handed keys to villa with fresh bread and tea waiting. I would stay again and recommend to anyone who wanted to be in the action but feel safely tucked away at night.

Dear Hotel Gjelina Team, I’m back home now and I can’t stop dreaming about my stay with you. I had the best time at the Gjelina Hotel. For the past four years I always stayed at the Gjusta Apartmentand truly enjoyed every single visit. When I found out this summer that the Gjusta Apartment was no longer available for bookings, I was honestly a bit shocked at first. Even though I was very happy about the great offer for staying at the Gjelina Hotel, I was sure nothing could top my experiences at the Apartment. I was completely wrong… the Gjelina Hotel clearly surpasses the Gjusta Apartment. Suite 22 is an absolute dream. I felt at home from the very first second. For me, there is no other place to stay when visiting Santa Monica or Venice Beach. If I may make one small wish for my next stay with you—which I really hope will be next November—it would be bedroom pillows that aren’t quite as firm. A selection of pillows with different levels of firmness would be amazing. I hope you’ll forgive this “princess and the pea” kind of comment :-) I’m already very much looking forward to seeing you again next year. All the best & Happy Holidays to you all! Andrea

This was our 2nd time staying here in 2024. We came for the weekend for our 10 year anniversay. If you are not a fan of cookie cutter hotels, this is the place to stay. It is eclectic and unique. We loved the room, its furniture and decor and access to the outdoor rooftop deck. The complimentary coffee and pastry at it's sister company, Gjusta Bakery, is a nice touch. Delivery service from Gjusta Bakery, Gjusta Grocer and Gjelina is a great benefit as well. The staff, Adrian, Eric, Edgar and Carrie, were outstanding! Anything we needed or wanted, they were there to help in a very professional, friendly, courteous and timely manner. Highly recommend it!
