Glaze Donuts - Nutley

These might be the worst donuts I've ever had! The case was pretty full when we walked in, but everything looked sad. Sitting for hours and assembled with zero skill or attention to detail. And there was a fly in the case. The lady behind the counter was nice enough to shew it away a few times We got 4 types. They were ALL so sweet we couldn't have more than a single bite without our teeth hurting. Also the donuts were dryer than anything I've ever experienced it was so disappointing. The box they came in was nice I guess. Un-bookmarking this place immediately.

The donuts looked great but tasted old. For the cost, I was very disappointed. The service was very friendly and helpful. They’ve gotten a lot of great reviews so maybe I just got them on a bad day.

𝙁𝙪𝙣, 𝙫𝙞𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙩, & 𝙙𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨. These donuts are no doubt worth the trip! Loaded with sweet cream and topped with fresh ingredients. Every bite is cloudy with the perfect amount of chew. Staff is kindhearted and passionate about their store. Perfect place to grab a Vanilla Chai or Coffee and start the day. Their variety in flavors is outstanding and each has its own 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙦𝙪𝙚 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚.

Great place love the different varieties of donuts and taste since I don’t like Dunkin anymore, happy to find this place. Just please seal the boxes of donuts/food better when we order on Grubhub or Ddash. Because it’s scary that someone can have easy access to something we eat..

I was riding by and decided to stop at this place. It was my first time at this establishment. Ordered 4 donuts, strawberry, plain, chocolate with sprinkles, frosted. The only thing about the frosted one is that the icing was sweet, but good. The one with the chocolate sprinkles tasted old, the strawberry is no type of strawberry flavor. No matter what time of day these donuts were purchased, they shouldn’t taste old, as well as leaving an unpleasant after taste.

First time here . It’s pretty close to where we’re staying at . So we ordered on TOO GOOD TO GO. 6:30 was pick up time . Got there store was empty . A lot of delicious lookin donuts . The guy grabbed 2 sprinkled donuts and 2 other donuts. We went on the website to see which donuts we got and it’s not even on the menu. They had so many delicious lookin ones that I would’ve loved to try but unfortunately we got those . The sprinkle ones were mediocre nothing special. The one with the orangey jelly wasn’t good at all. We were tryna guess what it was but we don’t know . We haven’t tired the yellow one with the coconut flakes yet. (We ended up throwing it away)I dont think we would do a TOO GOOD TO GO order here again . Cute box and cute spot.

Best donuts ever in a very nice location! Great selections of flavors and the personnel is very kind and helpful. I can’t wait to be back again!

This is a special treat. If you hold gourmet painstakingly made craft donuts to high standard, this donut shop is it. It’s definitely on the pricey side but if you care for fresh made donuts with incredible flavors it’s not so bad. The coffee is very fresh and delicious. Much better coffee than large chain donut shop coffee. The counter staff are incredibly friendly and helpful picking out your donuts. For those uncertain which flavor to choice they literally walk you through what type of foods you like. Very cool and interesting. Again, definitely a dozen notches above low standard donut shops like Dunkin.

The last time I had glazed donuts was at the former Fort Lee location and I really enjoy them. I came and ordered what I thought was a half dozen artisan donuts but what they don't disclose online is that weekend specials are not included in the artisan donut box price. There also isn't a clear menu at this location with prices at former Fort Lee location, there was. I really enjoyed the cannoli donut, the spring special: guava and cream cheese donut, the Bavarian cream filled cronut, and the cold brew infused donut - it was my favorite. It was so soft, not too strong and not too sweet. The perfect balance and the cream on top was just delectable and fluffy. I also tried the Dubai chocolate but was not a fan of the very sweet pistachio filling inside, the Italian rainbow doughnut was also very sweet, did not enjoy it. Overall, I enjoyed some of the donuts but a couple of them were too sweet for my preference. The ambience is chill. I don't really see it as a place where I'd hang out but maybe some people would! Service was fine. The woman at the counter knew all of her donut flavors and gave us some recommendations Parking is street parking so if you get there early as soon as they open up, you should be able to find parking. I can't speak for later on on the weekends or weekdays, though.

I stopped by on a Saturday while searching for desserts in the neighborhood. The guy at the counter was very friendly and helpful--he even recommended some of his favorites. Everything we tried was delicious, but the standout was their best-selling cannoli--it was amazing! The shop is conveniently located near a parking lot, so finding parking wasn't an issue. I'll definitely be back.

I have a lot of thoughts on this one. To address some points made by other reviews: are the donuts pricey? Yes. Did it hurt the wallet? Yes. However, I found them to be incredible, asking where they had been all my life. This made the pricing bearable because they are THAT GOOD. Those near and dear to me know I love a good donut. My wife and I visited this location for the first time, and I will certainly return. Donuts were fresh, and there was something for every taste here. Churro, French toast, cronut, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Apple-stuffed caramel, blueberry crumb...I mean, come on! Staff were courteous, kind, friendly, and helpful. Shop was spotlessly clean. Parking could be a bit challenging, so I advise using the municipal lot across the road and walking the block. Why four stars you ask? The donuts are not labeled in the case, making it difficult to know what they are and what is available. The staff very patiently explained what each was, which was great. However, would be nice to just make a selection based on labels. Overall, will be back often!

Staff was mad cool when we walked in. Lord have mercy too many donuts to choose from. But settled for a couple of donuts to try and it didn't disappoint. Flavorful, moist good combinations. Everyone who tried a donut liked it too!!

Probably the best tasting donuts I've had in a long time. This was a last minute decision to indulge in something sweet and Glaze Donuts was it. At almost 1/2 hour before closing, their donuts were still fresh. The staff was kind and so helpful on helping with my selection since it was my first time there. I chose their classic one. No regrets and still craving to go back. The place was vey clean and with to option to sit, relax and enjoy their delicious donuts right. Glaze Donuts offered the most delicious donuts I've had in quite a while. Despite being a spontaneous decision to satisfy my sweet tooth, their freshly made donuts, even close to closing time, exceeded my expectations. The staff members were helpful during my very first visit. I selected the classic donuts, a choice I do not regret and am craving to repeat this visit. The impeccably clean ambiance and the option to sit and enjoy their delightful donuts further enhanced my overall experience.

I have been to their other locations before, so I knew what I was getting myself into. These donuts are bigger than most, which comes with a steeper price. Besides their usual lineup of donuts, they offer special donuts that were for a limited time. The service was patient and friendly as it took some time for me to decide. A dozen donuts ($50) were ordered, and I will give my thoughts on the ones I had (Tried 10). All of the textures of the donuts were ideal. Peppermint - This was one of the special donuts. This was tasty. The peppermint taste was definitely apparent, and I thought it was a little too much. Gingerbread - This was another special. This tasted a little too much of a ginger flavor. It surprisingly needed a little more sweetness to it. Eggnog - This was again a special. This was very heavy and dense. There was frosting on the top and a filing on the inside. It tasted exactly like eggnog. I really enjoyed it despite how heavy it was. Anise Donut - This was the last special I had. It had a combination of anise flavor as well as lemon. This was unexpectedly my favorite one. I really enjoyed the blend of lemon and anise. It was also very light. Apple Cider - This was a traditional flavor, and it did not disappoint. The apple cider was clearly noticeable, and it was just very good. Cold Brew Coffee Donut - I am not a fan of coffee, but I was curious to try this anyway as maybe my mind would change, but alas, it was not meant to be. The icing was coffee flavor, and I just did not enjoy it. Twix - This had too much of a caramel taste to it. I would have liked to see more chocolate incorporated, but it was not too bad. Oreo - This was great as it had tons of Oreo cookies pieces and they appeared fresh. The vanilla icing also was very tasty. Glaze Jelly - This was another classic that got the job done. There was tons of jelly filing with an appropriate amount of glaze. This was great. French Toast - This was excellent. The white sugar dusting enhanced the French toast donut layer. It was probably in my top three tried of the day. Will I go back? Easily.

They have both cake and yeast doughnuts. Classic and specials too. Got to try the Boston cream, blueberry cake, coconut - all were delicious. Even towards the end of the day, the doughnuts taste fresh. Super friendly staff. Nice little shop, with 2-3 tables if you want to stay and enjoy.

Glaze has been a go to for a bit. If you're looking for fresh donuts that are exciting, come here. I will say some of the donuts can be a bit yeast heavy and leave a bitter taste, but the flavors like cannoli or strawberry shortcake are balanced nicely. Staff is always helpful and will build a connection as you come.

I go a to go order .Wasn't happy with the donuts I received He gave the other lady a much better selection of donuts. This is a crappy bag.

The store open time on the site is not the correct time on Saturday or Sunday. Please change your website. I place an order for a breakfast gathering needed to be picked up by a certain time and when I got there the place was close so I had to leave. Ending up going to Dunkin' donut and I was not happy about that.

Did not even know Glaze Donuts was coming to Nutley and was pleasantly surprised to pass by and see this the other day. Finally stopped in and got a half a dozen for me and my girls to try. We ordered a couple fruity pebbles, a churro, a jelly, a strawberry frosted, and a cronut. The service was great, been there twice and all the kids working there were very friendly. The one kid even warned me that the cronut was more expensive. No problem there. It's a small store with a couple tables inside, it was very clean. Located right on Franklin Ave. which is the main strip. Plenty of parking. The donuts were very good. The fruity pebbles was a big hit and I enjoyed the cronut and the Jelly. Also tried the Churro donut on another visit which might be my favorite. Glad the are in Nutley.....will be back.

I have been meaning to try this donut shop as I used to live in Nutley, and heard good things about this place. The gentleman behind the counter was very knowledgeable and kind as he helped me pick out the donuts. I did stop by the last 2 hours before closing, but there was still a wide selection to chose from. I will definitely be retuning soon to see other flavors they have. I will recommend the cannoli flavor or the Bavarian cream cronut!

I went into this shop today for the first time. I'm not from this area but I'm really glad I did. They have pretty good street parking options and really cute shop. Very welcoming and inviting. The customer service was really warm and friendly with a smile. My donut was fresh, soft, and delicious. If I'm back in the area I will be back!

Calorie bombs but fresh and delicious. I have to limit myself to one every few months. Staff is very friendly and helpful and the place is immaculate.

Dunkin' watch out, Glaze Donuts options are fantastic. I broke down and ordered a Bavarian Cream Kronut it was heavenly! Their variety of donuts is simply awe-inspiring with so many choices. The people in Nutley should make this donut shop a must.

These are by far the best donuts I've ever had! and I don't even like donuts. I just want to get every single flavor every time I come here. Their staff are friendly and very helpful. Their flavors change occasionally/ seasonally. The place is small, but there's seating available. Theres only street parking. They also serve coffee and tea. Highly recommend this place!

Was craving a dessert and figured I'd try somewhere new. Saw Glaze Donuts and loved the variety. Ordered four of the artisan donuts and they didn't disappoint. Perfect soft texture, delicious fillings and toppiWOW these were delicous! I'll be ordering again!

We got donuts from here for the second time last week. The girls behind the counter are super nice and helpful and explaining each donut and what was in them. Donuts were very fresh and delicious. Will be returning.

Decided to see it the hype was worth it. Nice variety of options. Staff was a bit aloof but nice. Ordered a churro donut, a Cronut and a ding dong. Only the ding dong was fresh. Both the cronut and churro donuts were stale and dry, which was a bit disappointing.

A Glaze experience is always an amazing experience. Visit one of their 5 locations in New Jersey and get blown away. Whether it's a Twix, cannoli, or fall limited time pumpkin donuts, there's something for everyone.

Totally stumbled upon this tiny place because it is near my doctor's office. So YUMMY!! Holy crow! What a sirprise!! Amazing, fresh, light airy doughnuts with phenomenal flavors. Made Montclair Bread Cpmany (I apologize, I don't remember what the new doughnut place name is) seem pretty meh. Really spectacular! Worth the trip!!

As someone who moved to New Jersey from the City I have been SEARCHING for a good lav honey latte and whoever made it today did an INCREDIBLE job. I ordered through Uber eats and they even put notes on my donuts with :) faces. So cute. Deff new coffee spot and it's so close. Love that.

Got two donuts this morning. One stacked on top of the other so naturally the icing came off the bottom donut. Went to see if I could get replacement the staff member said no because the cost of making the donuts is too expensive. I will never return and will call corporate. Each donut was over $4.00 each.

I just left the bakery and I'm impressed with the staff, their business acumen and definitely their large selection of baked goods. I got the maple bacon donut and it is so light and airy not a heavy donut, I'm impressed with the quality of the ingredients. My son got a half dozen of mixed signature donuts including a peanut butter and jelly, churro, Cinnamon Toast Crunch just to name a few. They are great and I wish them success, worth the trip and there's plenty of parking!!
