Nice brisk 2 mile walk along the glendoveer golf course. Of course there's construction going on when we get there doing goodness knows what but it didn't bother us any, it was still a great walk regardless. It was cool seeing the ducks in the pond along the way too.

Google
Great public course. Almost every time I’ve played here it was for a company or networking event and it’s well set up. Lotta golf to play with 18 on the east and west sides. Also had a range to warmup on. Good decent course and if you’re bad like me there isn’t a lot of room to lose balls. Everyone mentions the coyotes and I finally saw a few this last time. Nowhere near play and they are skittish of anyone is close.

Google
My first impressions are pretty good! There are lots of things to do here, so you never get bored! The buildings are a little run-down because this is quite on old place, but It didn’t really bother me. The trail around the golf course is definitely a good addition. There are lots of people here, about every day of the week, and the neighborhood is also not the best. It gets REALLY muddy when it rains. If I could, I would leave 4.5 stars.

Google
I love this course. ⛳🏌🏾 Even when it's so cold you can't get your tees in the ground. We did the first 9 holes on the east side, I recommend it, fun and hard at the same time. Nice to be outside.

Sang L.

Google
Well maintained and nice layout of two 18 hole courses with several up and down sloped holes that could be a good workout when walking. Great views of the mountain and scenary. Also great food, especially pizzas at the restaurant. Enjoy playing everytime.

Google
Played my first round of golf here today. I love the front 9 on the west side. Not a fan of the back 9. I still had a good time today. I was surprised to see Coyotes just hanging out and walking around everyone. The staff are really friendly. I appreciated the cart woman checking in on us from time to time. We will be back. I will definitely be back. I want to learn this course like the back of my hand.

Google
Amazing nature trail! It's so beautiful and just the right length. The path stops halfway through and becomes a parking lot so its a little confusing for a first visit, I think a little more signage would clear that right up but once you know where to go it's easy. It's never too crowded and most people are respectful and share the path. The vibe is very chill with a great mix of casual walkers taking it easy to more intense runners so no fitness level feels unwelcome. I'm new to hiking/out door activities and this felt really easy to dive into. Also I see a ton of cute wildlife which really makes the nature part feel authentic! Also good sized parking lot right at the start so no need to worry about parking. Just a heads up, no pets or bikes allowed on the trail.

Google
Great place to walk, run exercise it is about maybe 2 miles walk outdoors . About 45 minutes walking but if you run is about 30. There is squirrels but please do not feed them. No dogs allowed.

Yelp
I've been coming here for well over 20 years to use the fitness trail they provide. This place is always busy with golfers, along with walkers and runners. No pets allowed to keep the wildlife safe. They have a driving range, and even a course for disc golf too. They have quite a lot of tournaments here for everything- even HS cross country meets. The fitness trail is 2 miles and relatively well maintained; there are Porta-potties around which can be a life saver. Free to use the fitness trail. I've seen people be here very early in the am- open sunrise to sunset. There is also the restaurant Von Ebert on site- We haven't been in a few years but they have happy hour and daily specials. Pretty large parking lot and street parking too.

Yelp
Five of us had lunch. The salads were fresh & delicious. Tacos were great. The two of who got smash burgers were disappointed. They didn't seem like real smash burgers and not very flavorful. Fries were excellent. Will go back but not for burgers. The service was excellent!

Yelp
I play Glendoveer often and generally have a very favorable opinion of the course and staff. Unfortunately today was an exception. My playing partner was late, I knew she was running late and informed the starter. Somewhat luckily, two groups scheduled after our tee time were already on the tee and were send out early. Unfortunately, the group right in front of us were playing poorly and very slowly AND one of the players is a starter at Glendoveer. My group literally waited for them on nearly every shot of every hole. Being a long hitter, I started hitting irons off the tee boxes so we could keep our group moving. When one of my group peeled off after 9, the waiting only got worse. We finished the entirely of 12 in the time that 3 of their players hit tee shots on 13. I noticed that the next group in front was halfway up the fairway on 15 so I asked them if we could play through. The starter (I believe his name is Frank) was incredibly rude and told me that I was lying about waiting and that, "you think you run this course!?" The other three players said we should play through, but we opted to skip the hole and head straight to 14. I noticed that when we reached the green on 16, their group had just gotten to the tee box on 15 This is the same guy who last year yelled at my 13 year old daughter for pulling a cat tail towards herself to get a better look while we were waiting on players in front. This guy was sitting in the cart in the shade near the pond on 12 West while play was backed up and decided it was more important to yell at a curious child than to encourage faster play. Glendoveer, customer facing employees should be able to deal with customers in a respectful way, even when they're not on duty.

Yelp
Glendoveer Golf Course offers an amazing walking and running trail! I go there a few times a week, and when I'm hungry afterward, I occasionally stop by VonBurt Brewing for happy hour. I've also had a great experience golfing there!

Yelp
I've been going here since high school tennis days for practice. I used to love going here, until this morning, when my friends rented the court for four players + and helped teach two beginners how to play (unpaid lessons). All I did was feed them balls with my hand or racquet, taught them forehands and backhands. They're first-time players. Kaleen Worley, the head professional coach at Glendoveer, started coaching on the court next to us. She noticed that I was coaching and came up to me, told me that I'm not allowed to coach, and that I could not have more than 9 tennis balls on the court. The front desk told me 10 balls. She also then made a degrading comment about one of my friends' tennis skills since they were shanking a few balls over to Kaleen's side of the court. It is absolutely unprofessional and unwelcoming. I was not running a business obviously coaching, I had no ball hopper or basket, I had a few balls in my pocket and we were just making the best of what we had to let these girls learn some tennis, and Kaleen made us all feel unwelcome. She then went to the front desk to notify them to force me to pay even though the front desk excused me as I was just helping coach as a volunteer. I've volunteered teaching tennis for a few years, and this is the first time I have witnessed this type of discrimination. Kaleen decided to butt in during our court time even when I told her not to, interrupting us for more than 5 minutes to explain to us these unwritten draconian rules about not allowing coaching unless they're your "girlfriend, wife, kid". It is absolutely unacceptable, and I do hope more people realize how harmful this type of behavior is to the tennis community. Kaleen should be ashamed of herself, and Glendoveer should ashamed be as well for hiring this Karen.

Yelp
I took lessons here from Randy Bell who was a resident golf pro there. I really like this course, it's affordable, well kept, has a good friendly staff, a driving range he and nice pub. It has it all at a good price.

Yelp
Booked a tee time on the East course this afternoon, got to the started only to see two groups, one teeing off (from the reds and hitting it 50 yards) and another waiting. I asked what time was their tee time, he said 2, it was now 2:18 (which was my time). He then said that group waiting was as 2:07. So because people were late it affected the rest of us. How about if you're late you miss out and go home. Those of us who were on time instead got to go home without playing. This is not the first time, this has happened and it has been addressed with management. Still not any better. Poor course management!

Yelp
Outstanding customer service. great course condition. amazing player development program.

Yelp
Today I played 18 on East in the glorious sun. We got a tee time about a week prior before the forecast had sun so we were lucky to be playing on such a nice day. While I was waiting to pay, the pro shop was getting lots of calls for tee times and they had to turn them down due being all booked up- makes sense. All of the employees I came in contact with were very nice and upbeat, even the guy that I told I was looking at his nuts when I was looking at the snacks they had for sale. Snacks are limited, chips, nuts, cookies and pre-made sandwiches but they have the Von Ebert Brewery on site where you can get food too. They are beer and claws in the pro shop to keep you loose during 18. IMO, the course was very well maintained. It was obviously pretty wet and muddy but it's March in Portland so to be expected wherever you go. The greens are well taken care of as well as the carts. I paid 46 for 18 with a cart. I really enjoy Glendoveer and will look forward to playing here soon!!

Yelp
I used to golf a lot, and Glendoveer is one of the courses I played. I now have a form of arthritis that makes my flexibility a problem, but truly there's not much anything better than playing on this well-manicured and beautiful course, especially when you hit the ball just right and hear the magical ping echo through the woods. Besides the golf, there is a walking trail around the circumference of the course. It's great exercise, and let me tell you it's quite a walk! What's fun is the squirrels. I used to pick up packaged peanuts in the pro shop to feed them. If you're golfing, they can be very demanding, and I have had them try rooting through my gear to find peanuts! There is a driving range which makes for a great warmup before heading out for 9 or 18 holes. I really can only say good things about Glendoveer. If you golf, this is a great course to play.

Yelp
If you're square with your pars and keen with your swings or even have your own caddy, you might find it Glendoveer boring as a course. As a novice, everything works for me, I would hardly know the difference. More than likely I'll be out on the driving range, smacking balls and dreaming of being Tiger for the day. The course itself is actually quite large; the east side of the course is recommended for more skilled players and for folks who don't mind a little hike, and the west side is perfect for people who making birdie would be like winning the lottery (ahem, the "easy" side). For the driving range, I've been happy with the service and the price of every bucket of balls is still reasonable. For the most part, I haven't had to deal with too much rowdiness, the people that come here for their rounds know this is a stress reliever and go about it in a tranquil way. Clubs can be rented, though it's always recommended you bring your own. And of course, nothing beats the course on a summery Oregon day. When the weather is great, more people will end up here than not. If you get here around 10am, it will be a light flow of people. You get to hit balls while they're off to breakfast / brunch.

Yelp
This golf course has fallen into terrible condition. The fairways are as thick as the rough. In a city that spends millions to move homeless from one side of the street to the other let's invest a little for the tax and green fee payers.
google avatar

C.J. W.

Yelp
Both courses are a great time. I'm not a great golfer and really enjoy both courses. A lot of trees but not a lot of tall grass. The east side is a bear to walk but great for exercise or I would recommend a cart because of the hills. The west is easier to walk and play but still very fun. If you're an elite golfer I would look at some other reviews :)
google avatar

Jenni B.

Yelp
Pretty decent course. We played the front West which was pretty forgiving for a beginner like me. Pretty straight fairways and no water features. A lot of folks hitting balls into other fairways so you might have to be a bit forgiving of other groups doing that. The green on the 4th hole was super bogged down and one player in our group plugged his ball there. Mind you, it's been hot a dry here for weeks when this happened. The tee boxes were in pretty nice condition considering how much this course is played. Ringside has a great happy hour so plan to end your game when it starts.

Zag F.

Yelp
I rolled up to hit a bucket of balls. The machine to get the balls was closed off. I was confused and asked someone if they closed early and they said "they ran out of balls". I went to the clubhouse and they explained that the ground was too soggy to operate the car to pick up the balls. They let me golf 3 or 4 holes before it got dark for free. Super nice. Wonderful to see a business who has employees that get it.

Yelp
The heavily-treed East Course boasts an up & down layout. (A 220 yard par 3 on the front is followed by a 250 yard downhill reachable par 4.) The back features several elevated greens. Lots of hardpan in the trees during periods of dry weather. In the past, bunkers have been bare, but this July they were full of excellent sand. The starter and marshal can be overzealous, hampering pace. The West course is short; muni-like. Sit right down at the onsite Ringside for post-golf happy hour (starting 8:30) around a private fire put with views down nos. 1 and 10. They have an excellent selection of Oregon taps and a $2.75 steakhouse burger that won't disappoint.

Yelp
After the management change a few years ago. I swore off the place. I grew up on the course and was a bit reluctant to change. I have been playing regularly there again for about a year, the new folks are great! The only issue on the course is pace of play. I play very fast and the guys I play with are equally fast paced. Typically four of us can blow through 18 on any course in about 3.5 hours (with no one in front of us). My opinion no round of golf should ever take longer than 4hours and 15 minutes. Five stars will be tough to get for the following reasons. 1. No one manages the walkers on the fitness trail, not an uncommon sighting to see a little kid go wayward and walk onto a fairway and pick up a golf ball. 2. They added "soccer golf" to the front 9 on the west course. (RIDICULOUS. 3. IN NO UNIVERSE IS IT OKAY TO GOLF WEARING A TANK TOP AND LOOKING LIKE YOU JUST STEPPED OUT IF WAL-MART! (maybe a bit snobby on my part, but life is a costume party and you need to have the right one on). 4. Marshalls are afraid to push players to play faster or enforce the let faster players play through rule. 5. No easy sit down snack-bar restaurant or place for a pre-round breakfast. (The Ringside is nice but not easy, fast, or open before 11am). All of that said it is my course of choice for many reasons. mostly because I live close and Gresham and the arrogance of it's "members" is offputting. Also the PDP club is awesome! (30 bucks a month includes free range balls and unlimited golf with a cart for 10bucks after 2pm).

Yelp
QUICK NOTE before you read my whole review....i don't golf. but i've been walking/running this trail for most of my life. my fave place to run! the trail is well taken care of with layers and layers of wood chips which makes running easier on the knees, back, feet, etc. they seem to have added a couple more porto-potties along the route but not on the actual trail which is nice. the trail around is about 2 miles and half is covered with shade from beautiful, tall pine trees. it is so nice in the summer! good family atmosphere too. a lot of moms walking their babes in strollers and little kids getting much needed exercise. i love it. there are no dogs allowed. which i also love because then you don't have to worry about stepping into a "land mine" ha ha. hope this helps.

Yelp
great city course. there are two eighteens - east and west. East is a more challenging course if I remember right. i've played here over the years and enjoy the mostly generous fairways, lush trees, and walkability. Today's visit: a quick nine holes at 3pm, $22 bucks, pace of play was decent. Finished round in less than 2 hours. Wild. I played the West Course. It's relatively an easy nine to play. Longest hole might be 400+ from the men's tees. I joined up with a couple dudes, it was a great afternoon. My original arrive time was 2:30 and I was able to walk on with out a tee time at 3pm. Friendly Staff Ringside Grill on-premise restaurant Nice pro shop with some clothing and sales on clothing and shoes. Beverage cart service. Couple of port-a-potties throughout round. Pretty hilly to walk the East. Jerry was the starter, he was friendly and told me about a program - $39 every month and then after 2pm $10 for unlimited golf. If you live or work nearby - a great deal. Course was in great shape.

Yelp
Glendoveer park is a great place to come regardless of what activities you fancy. Obviously it is known for golf and tennis, but there is also great running and walking on the trail around the park. Personally I like coming to the driving range, it's s pretty fun afternoon, without committing to an entire 9 or 18 holes. With that being said, some of the driving range stalls have heaters on them, which really come into handy when it is the winter and is freezing!! If you are looking for a fun and active way to spend your afternoon, I definitely recommend Glendoveer!
google avatar

Jacqueline L.

Yelp
This review is for the fitness trail that runs the perimeter of the Glendoveer Golf Course. It is a 2.2 mile loop, and the trail is very well-maintained. It is piled high with bark dust, making it nice and cushioned for running. No chance of shin splints here. A good portion of the trail is shaded with old evergreens, making it an especially nice option for hot Summer days. Since being introduced to this trail a few weeks ago by a friend, I have returned regularly, a minimum of three times per week, and I plan to continue doing so, in spite of the fact that I have to drive over 100 blocks East to get to it from my house. I feel the drive is worth it because the trail really is exceptionally well-maintained and safe, parking is super convenient, I love the abundance of shaded areas on the trail, and two loops around the trail is a perfect workout for me. What a great discovery, and I wish I had learned about this trail sooner.

Yelp
On vacation, I was looking for a driving range to go clobber some golf balls and enjoy some sunshine. Glendover was only 15 minutes from my hotel. Driving around this place once (I couldn't find the entrance) you get an idea of how huge this place is. After finally getting into the parking lot, I head in. The practice greens were not that hard, not much of a challenge really. Heading over to the driving range, it had a few of the greatest features I've seen: 1) each mat was set up for both left and right handed players with a variety of tee placement option, different height tee, big ball trays that worked well, well marked yardage. I really wish some places around my place in San Jose could take some notes from this place.

Yelp
This review is for the Glendoveer driving range. I have yet to actually golf the course itself. And while it looks nice from a quick glance, I can't say how it actually plays. As far as the range goes, this one almost always has tees available. The bucket cards are a good deal, and buckets are at least a buck cheaper than down at Eastmoreland. The facility itself is pretty dated and the pro shop has now moved up to the main building. So if you have a punch card you need to head over to the new shop to get your code for you bucket. The new ball machine is automatic and takes cards/cash, so you don't need to interface with anyone if you don't want to, you can just roll in, buy a bucket and start swinging. Plenty of parking is available and the walk to the range is short. The employees are plenty friendly and aside from being dated, the structure is well-kept. Even the heaters seem to do a good job. I look forward to coming back to golf a few rounds this spring/summer.

Yelp
Great course. Definitely five stars Little pricey though. I would recommend passing on the east course. The walkers along the edge didn't make a peep so no worries there! The grass was well maintained. Friendly staff :)

Yelp
I am not a golfer nor do I want to be! The idea of hitting a tiny ball along a course that requires you to dress in a certain way bores me to tears. This review is actually for the 2.2 mile trail that goes along the perimeter of Glendoveer Golf Course. The trail is a nice walk, not too strenuous and there are parts that a bit windy/hilly. It is an enjoyable walk. Along the way you can see a few wild rabbits which made for a nice addition to our walk. Along the way there are bars that you can do pull ups or push ups on. We saw quite a few people doing just that, they were walking or running then would periodically stop to do pull ups. The path is wide enough so that you don't feel too crowded even though there were a lot of folks on the path. We saw families, walking groups, runners, people with their trainers, and other assorted groups. It was a nice enjoyable place to walk. Ample parking although part of the lot is closed off to certain groups. That was a bit confusing. Overall, very nice trail. Certain parts of it were pretty deep in the woods and there were a few dark parts, so I would recommend having a partner with you. The only reason I am not rating it five stars is because the path winds so close to where the golfers were we kept wondering if a stray golf ball would knock us out. Thankfully that didn't happen but I am sure it could.
google avatar

Yelp
A fairly wide open muni golf course. It has two sides to it and overall are two nice green course with plenty of various strategic tree placements. One side is flatter than the other. They also have walkers and runners at certain points in the course which can be unnerving as a golfer because they just do their business despite you hitting a solid little ball. As we all know, despite how much effort you put into hitting that little white ball at the flag, it really likes to fly towards people's heads. It's probably best to wait them out and get out of your rhythm, than plunk them. It's a good course for players of all levels. Since it is a muni, it can get pretty busy here. Should be plenty of space in the parking lot.
google avatar

Yelp
Golf course, jogging trail, and tennis courts! Oh my! Well known for it's golf course but not very many people realize that they also have tennis courts! They have 4 courts located inside that big shed looking cover thing. Once upon a time, they use to have 4 racquetball courts, but that got torn down to make the 4th court (that was like 14 years ago...yeah, I'm that old -_-;;). Jay Stokes is still the head pro. Quang also still teaches there. Both great guys and awesome instructors. Great golfing and tennis facility and if you get a little hungry after a game, you can pop on over next door to Ringside (HH is pretty good!)
google avatar

Kim N.

Yelp
If you live around the neighborhood close to this course you should definitely utilize it to work on your fitness. I've lived about half a mile away from this course and have been running the course since I was 14. It is about 2.2 miles and there are markers to see how far you've gone. Beautiful scenery especially in the summer. There are even ponds with ducks in them swimming occasionally. And squirrels along the route who sometimes get in the way but hey careful do not feed them or they might go crazy on ya;). It's totally free to run there and feels amazing afterward. There are even variations in incline and hills. I've done uphill sprints as well. I love this place and sad that I've moved and am no longer 5 minutes away. Oh and it's always fun to watch golfers golf and wave hi. :)

Yelp
Old Portland golf course. Big 36 hole layout. East side is better imo. Lots of trees. Cool old pro shop. Affordable...and it's good for all skill levels. Very walkable, with a few good hills.

Yelp
We live nearby Glendoveer and really enjoy the course and driving range. It is very casual. The staff is friendly and we rarely feel rushed in play. Definitely recommend it!

Yelp
Glendoveer is a fine public course for the price is SE Portland. They keep it in good shape and it is never too busy that you can't get a tee time unless it is the first nice weekend of the summer. There is a running trail that surrounds the course but I have never had an issue with runners disrupting play. On the other hand a few time late on a summer after noon after the first 14 hole have moved right along it seems like a road block is set up for the final four holes. I am pretty sure that some of the local cracked out neighbors sneak on a play 14,15 and 16. You would think that these losers might be decent at these holes because the play them every afternoon is a drug induced stoop-er, but it is frustrating to be held up. Despite this I still like the course and really enjoy hitting up Ringside for a cold one and some Steak bites after the round. FREE APPETIZER of the month if you show them your golf receipt in the bar at Ringside! There are 4 solid hills so keep that it mind as it could be a challenging walk if your not in decent shape.

Yelp
I use to come here years ago to blow off a little steam with a couple buckets of balls back in the days. Now in my mid 30's and trying to get some more exercise in I now utilize the trail around here about 3-5 times a week not only to clear my head but to also help with my heart. I love that the trail is regularly maintained here and even though I'm literally a few feet away from the main road I still feel at peace with nature here. As mentioned this is a 2.2 mile course and everyday I revolve from starting east to starting west not only to change things around but when you start from the west and work your way east the trail has a nice incline that works your calves and quads really well. Its been nice to be able to get my workout in, get a little peace within me, and also enjoy the beautiful setting around me. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone for the trail the only reason I didn't give it five stars was the over usage of wood chips on the trail. It just seems a little excessive.

Yelp
This review is for the West course. Don't get me wrong, this is not a quote/unquote "4 star" course. However, it is a very nice muni course that is very playable for all abilities. The course today was in very good shape. The fairways were fairly firm and fast, and were cut to a very reasonable height (not too long, not too short). The front 9 is very flat with many short par 4s. The back 9 is much more hilly, with most holes playing north/south, into or with the prevailing wind. The greens were very consistent speed and receptive wise. I would say they were a little on the softer side, but not too soft. They would receive a well-struck shot nicely, but ran out on those that came in "hot". We played as a 2-some and were behind groups of 4; however, we never really had to wait long between shots. We played in about 3 hours and 45 minutes. The biggest negative was that the restaurant/snack bar was closed for remodeling, so all there was for food was pre-packed sandwiches and snacks. There was a beverage cart on the course, and they came by about every 4-5 holes. All put together, it was very enjoyable!

Yelp
Amazing course!!! We walked the course and it is challenging with a lot of hills and walking up and down! Beautiful view of town, Mt Hood, trees and airplanes! Good price! We had a great time walking 18 holes

Yelp
If you love 6 hour rounds, waiting 2 or more groups to a tee box on sunny days, and prices that are right in line with higher end places NOT in the ghetto - then I would recommend this place. After about my 50th trip I've decided there's no good reason to go back. The West side is apparently where Portland learns to golf...slowly. And the East side, while quite good, still backs up like the West side. Golf at nearly any course is good, because it's golf, right? I just can't give this more than 2 stars when I know of many better courses, that are less crowded with better greenskeeping.

Yelp
One of my go to places for 9-18 holes. The green fees are pretty cheap, there is a pretty nice double decker driving range, nice variety in the 2 courses (West being easier than the East), beautiful landscape, and my favorite part..... drumroll.... if you time your games right, you can end with happy hour prices at RingSide Grill.

Yelp
Great driving range, and an even better golf course. There are two, one is private and other public. The driving range is open to all. Probably the best cost for the amount of balls you get to hit. Aside from the noise of novice golfers, it's very peaceful.

Yelp
Golf range is subpar. Sometimes they forget to turn lights on. Balls have mud all over them aren't cleaned. Disappointed. Lift clean and place required....at the range.

Yelp
Just getting into golf. It's nice the driving range is covered. Lessons seem bit higher then other places.

Yelp
They didn't even have my name on the tee sheet, so sent me out alone behind 2 foursomes a half hour late....took 5 hours and 20 min. to finish. The fairways were so wet, the ball plugged or got mud-covered on every single shot....completely bare places on saturated greens. When a marshal finally pulled up at the 17th green, I tried to tell him about my "experience" that day, but he just frowned and drove off while I was talking. If you don't mind this kind of attitude, then by all means play Glendoveer.

Yelp
Absolutely great happy hour after a short round of 9. Very friendly staff and easy to get in.

Yelp
Loved Glendoveer course. It was day 4 of our 4 day family scramble for Memorial Day. From the check-in process to the friendly starter, we loved it. The front nine played nice and not too challenging, and then the back nine gave us some nice hills and interesting bunker positions. Pace was great with the groupings before and aft. Loved the large trees. Fairways and greens were in good shape despite the large amount of rain we had received over the weekend. Will definitely play here again! Convenient brewery next door to manage the food / beverage choices. We completed our round of 18 teeing off at 7am in 4 hours with 3 of the 4 of us walking.

Yelp
The tennis program under Kayleen is an extraordinary well rounded program for all levels. Starting shortly they will have lessons/classes for kids, looks like it'll be a great program. They also have a couple other pros that are very much into improving your every day game. Thanks

Yelp
Played east course one day and the west course two days later. I recommend the east course. A slightly more dynamic course with open fairways and limited hazards. I am a beginner golfer, and I could comfortably golf this course. Friendly staff, cared for greens, and Ring Side is a great spot for a bite afterwards.

Yelp
Glendoveer is a pretty sweet 36 hole course. the east side is better than the west. I hope that they dont end up closing one of the 18 and turning it into a park

Yelp
If you're taking a visitor the rental bags say RENTAL in giant letters on the side. Kind of funny really! Need I say more?

Yelp
This place used to be one of Portland's best golf courses. When I grew up it was a city course and $3.00 for 9 holes for juniors. They had excellent camps and programs along with a fun and friendly staff. Both courses were always in great shape and the pace was outstanding for the amount of play. Then in the last two years things took a sharp turn for the worse. The course's shape went downhill. The staff became complacent and didn't seem to care. The course became over booked and incredibly slow. My last three experiences have made it so I will no longer play here. 1st - Paid $41 for 18 holes on Tuesday afternoon. After making the turn in 2hr 45min due to two extremely slow groups in front of us, we were extremely unhappy. There seemed to be 5 starters / marshals that wanted our receipt at the beginning but none on the golf course to monitor the pace of play. We noticed one of the groups in front of us was leaving after 9 so we were excited to play a little faster on the back. Much to our dismay we noticed 3 4somes on the 10th tee. I asked the starter what was going on and he replied "Those are twilight golfers...have to get them out". I have worked for a golf course before and when I pay $41 for 18 holes I am not expecting them to throw out $20 twilight groups in front of me on the back. Our 2hr 45min time was looking fast now for the potentially horrific back 9. After watching 2 of the groups tee off and take about 30 minutes to finish the first hole we asked the starter again what we could do. He basically told us "tough luck". The inside shop staff said they had no control as the starters are in charge of that part. NO accountability. We eventually got put out on the front 9 of the other course. We didn't get to play the 18 hole course we wanted and ended up taking around 6 hours to play 18. Again no one inside would take any accountability after the round when I asked to speak to someone in charge. 2nd - booked a tee time for 6:45 AM on a Sunday to avoid the busy schedule to be assumed on a nice weather Sunday. We teed off as the second group of the course on the day. After 3 holes were stopped by the marshal and asked to pickup our pace. I looked at my phone and saw it was 7:11. We had played 3 holes in 26 minutes as a foursome. We were waiting in the 4th fairway for the green to clear from about 250 yards because in theory I can hit a three wood that far and I felt we were well ahead of schedule. I asked the marshal if he knew what time we tee'd off and he said no but the group behind you is waiting. They were a 4 some as well of good players and didn't want to hit into us. I argued with him about what he as thinking. We were on a 3 hour 18 hole pace and waiting on the group in front of us. He told us to pick it up and drove away. We finished our 18 holes in 2hrs 51min that day. I can't imagine how they could be worried about our pace. 3rd - Played at 7:45 AM on a Sunday hoping to avoid the rush. After a slow 2hr 30 min front 9 we made the turn. Saw the two some of beginners in front of us were leaving and honestly they were waiting most holes for the 3 some in front of them. We didn't have any complaints but wouldn't mind a little faster. As we get to the 10th tee we notice a two some has gone out in front of us on the back 9. I go inside and once again the shop staff person says "not my department". When I ask him who I can talk to he doesn't respond. After a second attempt (a little more pissed off one) he replied "What do you want me to do? It's the starters decision". We found the starter and at the same time another group shows up on 10 tee and tells us they were told they are next up. We told them no we were making the turn and they were just a 9 hole group but asked if they wanted to join up. The starter then shows up and tells us we can join with them or wait. How did we fall out of line for 2 groups when we were an 18 hole group making the turn? I asked the starter why the other two some was put in front of us and he replies "They snuck out there I couldn't stop them". How come you can't drive up and move them back to the front side? He really didn't care and drove off. We joined the two some and low and behold 3 holes in we are waiting 10 minutes every shot. We caught the 3 some in front of us (They let the other two play through) and thy had 1 set of clubs, two carts, and three players. They couldn't hit it more than 15 feet. I know they were trying but they had never been on a course before it was evident. Not one time did we see a marshal come and talk with them. They ended up 3 holes behind the twosome they let play through by the time we hit 14. We drove up and talked with them and were able to play through but it was uncomfortable. After the round I had decided I wanted to share this with someone inside. When I asked for a manager they told there wasn't one there. I wont be golfing here again and don't recommend it!

Yelp
Played this course for the first time the other day (on a recommendation) and sadly that will be my last time playing there. First off, there are hiking trails throughout the course...hiking trails?!? The port-a-potties are disgusting, there are no yardage markers, AND if you happen to misplace your club kiss it goodbye because you'll never see it again. I have played many golf courses throughout Oregon and I have never had a fellow golfer steal a club. I thought there was supposed to be some camaraderie among golfers...I guess not at Glendoveer. (Plus, don't count on the pro shop to help, you'll have better luck looking on Craigslist the following day).

Yelp
Played the East course in September with our club and had a great time. The driving range is excellent and the course is challenging. I drove the 16th par 4 and made the putt for Eagle so that was the highlight of the round! Haven't played the West course yet but it looks less challenging. Definitely looking forward to playing this venue again!
