My loved one had a head injury and was admitted for about a week in the ICU then down ward to a regular ward. The nurses esp in the ICU were exceptional. They were compassionate, gentle, patient and attentive. My heartfelt thanks to all the nurses who helped to make my trying times more bearable. If there was a fine bone to pick, then probably will be the finance part not very helpful in insurance processing, that I had to cough out a few tens of thousands as deposit in the initial stage. While I could afford this, some may have difficulties in raising such amount on the same day / within days after admission.

Decided to try Gleneagles. The whole experience was excellent. All the nurses are very switch on and helpful. Constantly keeping you informed of how long the expected wait and very polite. Totally impressed. The Malay lady at the cashier was very efficient, thank you Hafizah and Dr Adrian Wong who attended to me. The best private hospital I’ve tried in Singapore so far. Please maintain this standard always.

My very first hospitalization experience was at **Gleneagles Hospital**, where I underwent surgery for a meniscus tear. From the moment I arrived at the admission counter at 6 AM to the suite and operating theatre, everything was handled with care and professionalism. The staff were genuinely friendly, polite, and welcoming. A special mention to **Dr. Ong**, the anesthesiologist, whose calm and professional manner immediately put me at ease. **Dr. Chong Kian Chun** took the time to explain my condition thoroughly, which I truly appreciated. Heartfelt thanks to **concierge Rohan**, **chief butler Damien**, **physiotherapist Angeline**, and the dedicated nurses at **Ward 10 (both morning and night shifts)**—your support made a real difference in my recovery journey. Thank you, Gleneagles, for making my first hospital stay a smooth and reassuring experience.

Admitted for one night stay at Ward 6 west wing for a surgical procedure. Admission office staff was very clear in her explanation in my estimated bill size and payment process. Room was clean and well-equipped. Nursing and ancillary staff were all very caring and meticulous in providing care. They checked in on me regularly to assess my pain and attend to my needs. Probably can cut down on the frequency so that patient can have better rest. Plenty of hospital food options to select from and all tasted very good! I was always looking forward to the next meal. Only comment was lacked of info explained to me on what to expect while I’m waiting to be pushed to OT. I waited for more than an hour in my room not knowing what is going on, when I should change into my robe etc. While at OT, the team was extremely swift in their preparation, would’ve been more assuring if they can inform me what is going to happen at every step. Nonetheless, very thankful to all staff for a fuss-free surgery and stay. Thank you team Gleneagles!

Having continuous renovation noise while still admitting patients to the wards around the renovation level is very irresponsible. How can patients get good rest with the constant drilling and hacking noise? No doubt running a hospital is a business, but sacrificing patient’s rest for the sake of ensuring earnings is maintained, is not being fair; it’s not that your hospital is giving discounted rate for staying through the noise. The nurses were very apologetic, but it is not their fault; and they have been very attentive to the patient’s needs.

Everything went smoothly from registration, to surgery and the ward. Thank you for making my first surgery/hospitalization experience such a pleasant one :) Registered around 5.30am and the admin staffs were very knowledgeable and efficient. After registering, I was being escorted to my room before having to prepare for the surgery. They also went through every amenities that was provided in the room too. Toiletries including face & body towel were provided. There's hot water shower too as seen in my foggy toilet picture, it was nice to have a nice shower before discharging. The holding area for surgery was (realllllly) cold but it was nice that they provided a thicker blanket (and it was warm, sooo nice). The nurses and the Anesthetists came to check-in quite frequently before being pushed into the OR. The surgery went well and was pushed to a recovery area (guessing this since I was still waking up from anesthesia). Stayed for a night and a shout-out to all the caring nurses in Ward 9 West for being so nice and reassuring :))

Gleneagles is the best hospital in Singapore in terms of facilities, medical teams and food. Many thanks to Dr Roland Chong, Dr Koh Hong Yi and Dr Charles Chan for being able to assess and give the best treatment. Their professionalism, holistic treatment and specialist expertise along with best in class hospital medical facilities and nursing teams helps patient in the recovery process. The super good ward meals help patient to overcome the misery of being sick and something to look forward to everyday (haha). Special mention to attentive and caring staff nurse Sarah Jane Trinidad and Eleazar Parungao, wound Sister Camellia and all the staff nurse on duty at ward 862 during the period 7 Aug to 22 Aug for taking good care for patient. Feeling grateful, blessed and safe under their care. Sharing some photo of the yummy food.

Yelp
Good choice for quality Ex-pat doctor and hospital services. And it's quite at $700/ more a night besides insurance reimbursement. But the elevators to each floor are odd, dirty, and poorly run... and then the signage to the Drs. offices are non-existence. The cafeteria is a mess - artery clogging choices -and then service by the 'hawker style stalls' = Singapore needs tipping. The food service industry will always be crappy until the serves make a living off 'service.'

Yelp
I had the misfortune of a tiny ball bearing stuck in my ear on the weekend, and despite my friend's best efforts to remove it, it was simply too deep and it could not be safely removed without some seriously specialized tools. I was writhing about in severe discomfort and I had to have it removed. We decided to come to the A&E here at Gleneagles at 1pm, which is termed a 24 hour clinic. Upon examination by the doctor on duty, he deemed it necessary for an ENT specialist to come down. The specialist arrived within the hour, keeping in mind it was a Saturday. Because I had eaten prior, he scheduled the removal for a couple hours later. At 5pm, the anesthetist came and by 530pm, the ball bearing was out and at 7pm, I was strolling down Orchard Road. If you have a medical emergency, this is the A&E to go. I was told that in government hospitals, I would possibly have to wait a day or even till Monday since it wasn't a life-or-death case. The service here is top-notch, and doctors here are professional and very experienced.

Yelp
visited a friend who just delivered here. lifts can be slow. their single room was surprisingly small. my friend was supposed to be staying in their suite but that is located on the 10th floor whilst the nursery is on the 5th. not so convenient huh? so they chose the single room on the 5th floor instead. went to the nursery to take a peek at the baby. nurses were all very friendly and accomodating. security was tight and you need parental identification before carting the baby away. the nursery had a big viewing window on one side but the blind was down. so you cant really look in unless the nurses raise the blind from inside. good for the babies but not the visitors? a tour for moms to be was in progress whilst i was there and the staff in charge was knowledgeable and helpful.

Yelp
Gleneagles Hospital is managed by the Parkway Group. Great location , very central and close to town , and it's just by the botanical gardens. There also a roof garden which is quite nice. Compared to say, Raffles Hospital, the lobby is quite drab. There are a few eateries, including a Delifrance if you want a bite. Otherwise it's really not spectacular and it feels very impersonal and somewhat shabby. My ward was located on the 6th floor and there was some renovation works going on and the main hallway really , really stank - it was very smokey and dank. The doctors: Knowledgeable and good, was recommended this hospital by a doctor friend of ours. I do feel like I'd be in safe hands. The ward: Ok it's always packed and busy especially if you're going to be admitted for an A&E matter... two-person wards were fully booked and we were lucky to get one at such short notice. The room rate is actually reasonable. The nurses are absolutely overworked and this may result in short temper and miscommunication. The ward itself is clean and well-maintained.

Yelp
I was admitted to Gleneagles hospital 1 over weeks ago and stayed on level 9 ward for nearly 5 days. It was a terror experience. The nurses, most of them was disorganised. They seems like not knowing what is happening to the patients, why given medicines, and act promptly by getting advice from doctor(s) when should certain medicines stop after their so called "routine" checking on patients of the HBP, passing motions & urine frequency and pain levels. Slow in response to Patient's needs. Some of them were friendly but being friendly just ain't good enough. Many of them are lacking of training and very dis-organised which worried me. Beside, very noisy and you could hear loud noise from your ward and I find it unprofessional. It is a hospital, not a chat cafe and hospital should be quiet. I would think it is very important for the CEO and management to look into the quality of service of their nurses, especially Level 9 (not sure of other levels but I read some other reviews, same bad experience with level 9). A group of well-knowledge and well-trained nurses could help to lower stress of the patients and at some point, can save life, if they doing their job properly and professionally.

Yelp
Gleneagles is so divey, it's almost endearing. I've been to the Annex Block and the Medical Center, and they both have rabbit warren-like passage ways with small spaces and waiting rooms. The connectors between the buildings have those you-go-outdoors-for-a-second-walk-up-a-step-then-down-a step types of transitions. Another 70s (or 60s) throwback, it would appear. Also, the location, across from the British Consulate and American Embassy on Napier Road, is not as convenient as, say, Mount Elizabeth. That said, there are some plusses. First, there are some great doctors here. Second, there are a nice selection of food options downstairs - hawker style - there is a dim sum place, noodles, Indian food, Delifrance, etc. Third, the reception area in the Medical Center Lobby has comfortable seating. Fourth, the lab and pharmacy on the ground floor are efficient. Fifth, there is a free shuttle bus between Orchard (on Angullia Park) between Wheelock Place and Far East Plaza and the hospital.

Yelp
At the emergency, I came with a bone dislocation. It was obvious on the X-ray. The doctor didn't reduce it and let me go home advising that if it didn't improve I should see a doctor again. A dislocation will never get better without reduction ! Wrong diagnose, wrong treatment, wrong advice.

Yelp
For a private hospital, gleneagles is becoming quite old and run down compared to some of the newer ones like raffles. But since the mominlaw and missus' doctor is based at gleneagles, we some how end up here a lot. The hospital wards are ok, lots of cable channels, the food is reasonably tasty and nurses are friendly enough. But for the price you pay you would minimally expect good service. Still it is better than public hospital. But seriously why aren't there simple things like vending machines for visitors on each floor? The waiting area had a water dispenser but somebody had neglected to refill it. Good for patients but not always the best for family members.

Yelp
Rather disappointing that the telephone line advertised on the hospital website for emergencies is actually a home line and the person at the line is sleep at 6am!!!! She asked me to call during the office hours at 9am. This is nonprofessional and immoral!
