Gleneagles is so divey, it's almost endearing. I've been to the Annex Block and the Medical Center, and they both have rabbit warren-like passage ways with small spaces and waiting rooms. The connectors between the buildings have those you-go-outdoors-for-a-second-walk-up-a-step-then-down-a step types of transitions. Another 70s (or 60s) throwback, it would appear. Also, the location, across from the British Consulate and American Embassy on Napier Road, is not as convenient as, say, Mount Elizabeth.
That said, there are some plusses. First, there are some great doctors here. Second, there are a nice selection of food options downstairs - hawker style - there is a dim sum place, noodles, Indian food, Delifrance, etc. Third, the reception area in the Medical Center Lobby has comfortable seating. Fourth, the lab and pharmacy on the ground floor are efficient. Fifth, there is a free shuttle bus between Orchard (on Angullia Park) between Wheelock Place and Far East Plaza and the hospital.
