Family farmers since the citrus boom, Gless Ranch sells just-picked oranges, avocados, dates, and local provisions. Deeply tied to Riverside’s groves and parklands, it’s a delicious way to taste the city’s agricultural story.

This place is absolutely amazing and we always have to make a stop whenever driving by Riverside. The orange juice is the best one I’ve had in my whole life but it does cost about $12 for half a gallon. The trees are always looking so beautiful and the staff is very friendly. If you have the opportunity to stop by Gless Ranch definitely check it out.

Gless Ranch is a true Riverside treasure, nestled in the orange groves just off Van Buren Blvd. This place isn’t just about the snacks—they’ve got a rich history that makes visiting feel like a step back in time. The Gless family has been farming in Riverside since the early 1900s, and their roots are deeply tied to the region’s agricultural legacy. Over the years, they've expanded into citrus, and the ranch itself has become a local landmark. Now, it’s a fantastic spot for anyone who loves fresh snacks, local history, and a good time in the country! What I love most about Gless Ranch is their selection of snacks. My go-to is the corn nuts and mixed bags—they’re always fresh, crunchy, and hit the spot every time. I’ve also had their banana chips and a few other snacks, and they’re always tasty! There’s so much to choose from, and I’m constantly trying new things, which makes each visit exciting. They also offer a wide variety of drinks, and I love tasting different ones every time I go. Whether you're looking for a sweet treat or something refreshing, they've got a drink for every mood. I definitely love their orange juice. Overall, Gless Ranch is one of those awesome, unique spots where you can enjoy a snack, soak in the history, and get a little taste of Riverside’s agricultural roots. It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area or just passing through. Highly recommended! 😊

The Best Grapefruit I’ve Ever Had! I’ve had a lot of grapefruit in my life, but nothing comes close to what I got from Gless Ranch in Riverside. Hands down, the juiciest, sweetest, most flavorful grapefruit I’ve ever tasted. The freshness was unbelievable — you can tell it was picked at the perfect time. No bitterness, just a bright, citrusy burst with every bite. If you think you’ve had good grapefruit before, you haven’t tried one from Gless Ranch. I’ll definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommend!

Awesome place to get fresh produce! I went for the first time and picked up a few things. The surrounding orchards were beautiful and the store was very nice. Awesome staff. When I got back home I had the best oranges I have ever eaten. I will be back often with my family.

Google
Nice place to find fresh orange, all kind of drinks, jams, souveniers. When I entered the store, it was a very good smell, smell of fresh fruit. Outside we can see the orange tree, old tractor etc. It is an interesting place to visit.

Google
I love Gless Ranch! I mean, what’s not to love?! They have THEE BEST ORANGES in town from Navel to Cara Cara to Blood Oranges. You can tell the difference between fruits ripened on the tree versus those picked prematurely and sold at markets (left to ripen then). Gless Ranch is located on Van Buren Blvd. and Barton Rd. in southeast Riverside near the Mission Grove and Orange Terrace communities. I’ve seen Gless Ranch grow from a small produce stand to now like a specialty market. It’s a one-stop shop when you want to give friends or loved ones something that’s fresh - and something that’s local! At Gless Ranch, they have a variety of citrus available in various sizes, proprietary jams, dried fruit, nuts, candy, fresh produce, salad dressing, freshly-squeezed oranges, specialty breads, and even some of their very own Gless Ranch beers! They even have other items for gift-giving like bags, soaps, stationery, and customizable gift boxes! Gless Ranch is truly a local gem! What’s even better than that are the people that work there - they are the friendliest! For example, I had a wonderful conversation with one of the employees on their avocados. I am very picky when it comes to avocados and she understood me when we talked about creamy vs non-creamy avocados and thready, pulpy ones (yuck). Can’t go wrong with their avocados here and the worker sure knows it as well as I do - they have one or the best! Oh and this little market is always clean when I visit. It is well-kept and organized. Nothing is dusty or expired. I love that they maintain their products. On some weekends, they’ll have vendors selling products from BBQ to beautifully crafted greeting cards and other crafts - my kind of place! It is definitely worth a stop here. You’ll enjoy the warm welcome and the delicious oranges and treats! For each time I visit, I make sure I grab at least one bag of their oranges. Pro-Tip: The 25-lb. bag is a bargain for its overall quality. If there’s one take-away from this review, then I hope I’ve enticed you to come check out Gless Ranch - you won’t be disappointed!

Google
We first stopped by a few months ago at the beginning of the season. It’s now a regular stop for us. You will not find fresher orange juice anywhere! The store also has a selection of local products including honey, baked goods and jams. I find something new to try each time we visit. This is a great local business and definitely worth a stop!

Google
This ranch has delicious oranges that are sweet and worth the purchase. The price is right for what you get. I will drive back to this ranch again for those oranges. Staff is friendly and accommodating, the ranch also has a small parking lot with shopping carts.

Yelp
Favorite place in Riverside to go grab gifts for other people but mostly to grab a bag or two to juice for juices, cocktails or making fruit plates. I love that Gless ranch is still around and the smell of the orange blossoms when you drive up to the ranch is so mesmerizing. Love that they have two stands, one indoor marketplace and one stand that you can still get nuts, lemons, avocados, grapefruit and other goodies. The staff is super nice and will help you carry bags to your car if needed.

Yelp
This is the best thing about riverside hands down. We are blessed to live 1 mile away. Always stock up on oranges and tangerines here. Cara Cara's are the best when they are I. Season. My baby and toddler love their oranges and tangerines!! My mom always makes me bring her Gless when I visit her in LA and she always stops at Gless when she visits me.

Yelp
Who would've thought that one of the most famous citrus groves in Riverside, California came into existence because of a long-shot $100 bet?! Believe it or not, that's just a little part of the story of how Gless Ranch came to be! Daring to dream a dream so big it caused others to laugh, John J. Gless aspired to pioneer citrus farms on an acreage of land in Riverside known to be unsuitable for growing citrus. Apparently, his dream seemed so crazy that in the 1960s an Orange County farmer challenged Mr. Gless to a $100 bet that the citrus would never be viable...but guess what? Mr. Gless won the bet, & the rest is history! He eventually turned one (1) grove into a huge family-operated farming operation of oranges, tangerines, grapefruits, limes, dates, avocados, & figs, & later opened the beloved Gless Ranch Market & the California Citrus State Historic Park. Surrounded by beautiful citrus groves, Gless Ranch Market on Van Buren Boulevard (remodeled again in 2017 from a humble stand) is always a treat to visit when in the Riverside area. With a friendly & helpful staff, they offer not only standard fresh fruits & vegetables, but also specialty fruits like large California Keitt Mangos, Pink Lemonade Lemons, honeys, hard-to-find jams, spreads, & salsas, candies, flavoured popcorn, beer & wine, specialty items, & gifts. Although our most recent purchase of Cara Cara oranges was disappointing due to mold on several oranges in the bag, for the most part our purchases from Gless Ranch over the last 20+ years our family has been visiting have been wonderful & we have enjoyed very fresh fruit & treats to take home & share with others. If you're visiting the Riverside area, be sure to stop by Gless Ranch Market.

Yelp
Oh wowowooowoww, this is my newest favorite place in all of Riverside and I can't wait to return! I travel for work and was telling my Riverside colleagues that, as a Chicagoan, I really wanted to see a lemon tree while working in Riverside. Someone mentioned this shop- that is connected to the orchards- so I drove 30 minutes after work to see a real citrus tree!! I know that must sound funny to someone who lives in CA and gets to see lemon, lime, and orange trees all the time, but I promise the ONLY ones we have in Chicago are in conservatories. You don't see them in their natural state. So I was absolute thrilled to get to see a real orange grove and then I bought about $100 worth of amazing souvenirs to bring home! I would have bought more, but I only had a carry-on for luggage and you can't bring more than 4 ounces on the plane, so I had to skip the honeys and other liquids. I bought an orange beer and drank some of that, even though I don't typically drink alcohol. But I was so curious about orange-flavored beer! The fresh orange juice was OUT OF THIS WORLD, oh my. Best OJ I've ever had in my whole life. I would drink that every day if I could. I also bought a blackberry cobbler that made the BEST PB&J sandwiches, so I ate a bunch of those this week since the cobbler wouldn't fit in my luggage. Loveliest counter person in the world, too!! We had a nice chat about Chicago. I felt so welcomed and the workers invited me to take a wander in the pretty grassy grove near the orange trees. This is one beautiful shop and such a cool place. I will definitely return next time I'm working in Riverside. Thank you, Gless Ranch!! Everyone loved their souvenirs, especially the fresh fruit, Amish popcorn, pink sea salt, peach/pear dried fruit, and minty lip balms.

Yelp
The customer service = 0 stars. The produce and cute shop = 4 stars. I've been coming here for about 20 years, since before it was completely renovated to what it is now. It's a stop I make when visiting Riverside National Cemetery. It's a really nice place. The gifts are very cute but a little overpriced - there are lotions, lip balms, ceramics, bags and lots more. The candy, treats, jams, snacks, etc.. are a great variety. The produce is good and reasonably priced, comparable to a regular supermarket. Everything is clean and organized. The last few times I went, the employees were very unfriendly - not even a quick greeting or smile when I walked in. It wasn't busy and they looked right at me and just continued their personal conversations. Very unprofessional and snobby! A customer was looking at the oranges and started walking up to them with a question. One of the employees just yelled "which table did you get them from?" And continued yelling questions and answers to him, instead of going towards him or towards the oranges he was looking at. She was too lazy to step away from the counter and her personal conversation to properly help the customer.
google avatar

Yelp
I stop by here all the time form the Riverside National Cemetery. I always buy the $5 5lb grapefruit bag. It's a steal. Some of the sweetest grapefruit I've ever had. The orange bag is a great deal too but it's inconsistent. Sometimes I get a bag that's super juicy and sometimes I get oranges that are just ok. The grapefruit though, is always consistent. There's other "touristy" type foods here you'd find at a gas stop on the highway that's all just ok. Their beer isn't bad. That Mexican food they sell prepacked fresh? It's just ok. But their chips and salsa really aren't bad.

Rowyna S.

Yelp
This place has delicious fruits and excellent seasonal veggies. My friends have commented on how sweet the strawberries are when we serve it. We always look forward to their summer peaches. A colleague looks forward when they have corn! I'm looking forward to cooking up some zucchini that I just purchased. This is the ONLY place I'll buy strawberries from. They even have delicious giant-sized chocolate covered strawberries! Service is exceptional! Linda and Stewart have talked stories of life back in the late 1900's. Back then Glenn Farm was housed in Buena Park. Ambience is awesome! It's very clean. Parking is available right in front of their stand. You have to visit this amazing Glenn Ranch stand!

Yelp
Great farm store with everything and more from a farm store. Fresh and sweet citrus from their orchard. Friendly and helpful service. Store was neat and clean with no clutter.
google avatar

Monique G.

Yelp
Love all the fresh fruit, especially during Cara Cara season, and all the different snacks and freshly made pastries.
google avatar

Nikki P.

Yelp
The best oranges hands down. I'm a fool for driving past this spot multiple times without stopping by until I looked up the company on Yelp. Do yourself a favor and try the cara cara oranges! The juiciest and most delicious oranges EVER. Prices are very reasonable. I like to take out of town family and friends here to get a different side of Riverside. They sell anything that a local farmers market would. Recommend trying their beers, jams, and produce. PROS: Apple pay, friendly employees, fresh produce picked daily CONS: N/A

G B.

Yelp
Went looking for honey here. Friendly service, clean and tidy store, nice variety of citrus and found some local honey!
google avatar

Mrunal P.

Yelp
Drove 25 minutes to get their highly reputed oranges to get to their door at 5:55pm. Only to find the store is closed 5 mins before their advertised time. Disappointing to say the least. As I am typing this review, I can see the staff leaving from the side door walking away looking at me without bothering to inquire if I need any help. So much for customer service I guess. I know they're growing and probably care less about losing a customer. But today they definitely lost one.

Tyrone D.

Yelp
A Farmer's Market with fresh fruits and vegetables locally grown. Thank you for providing an honest service to the community with your Fruit and Vegetable stand.

Christen M.

Yelp
I came in last week to find a strawberry preserve, i asked a worker for help since i couldn't locate it myself. Her name was Summer she stayed at the register and said 'We must not have it then' and continued her personal conversation. The customer service used to be amazing sadly it's not the same anymore as it's been like this the past few months i've been in.

Vanessa A.

Yelp
This is easily the cutest shop in Riverside. On top on that, the fruit is always fresh, and the manager is kind and helpful. Whenever I'm headed out to Palm Springs, this shop is consistently on my itinerary.
google avatar

Tracie S.

Yelp
This place has THE best oranges!! Super sweet and juicy. My mother in law actually gave us a bag last year and I was hooked. They have different varieties depending on the time of year. Valencia oranges are usually available from May to Nov. Cara Cara and regular Naval oranges from Nov/Dec to April. We always get the 25lb bags just cuz they taste so good and we go thru them so quick. If you like citrus, come get the best ones here.
google avatar

Yelp
Let's talk about Gless Ranch !!!! Such a great place for local produce , adorable gifts , delicious fresh baked goods and for you allergy sufferers THEY HAVE LOCAL HONEY . I can't say enough about Ashley , Barbara and Lily . They were absolute dolls. These ladies were so incredibly knowledgeable of their products they really made my first visit to Gless Ranch effortless and I will be back time and time again .
google avatar

Yelp
Always a treat to stop by and get the fresh squeezed Orange Juice. The honey is soooo good! If your a foodie or a natural food person this place is not to be missed.
google avatar

Yelp
Lots of fresh fruit. Came here to look for red oranges and the staff here was so helpful. Directed me to cara Cara oranges. They had a whole isle of different jelly's. I found a jalapeño jelly that was so delicious. My son picked out son candy from a whole shelf area full of different candy. I will be returning often as I love the vibe here and everyone was so helpful. Prices were decent as well.
google avatar

Chris G.

Yelp
I have been going to Gless ranch for years they have the best oranges and tangerines very fresh and juicy . The staff has always been really nice and helpful it's very clean inside really nice location . I like to get the Cara Cara oranges they are red inside they have them from December to May they're so good I suggest trying them . The prices here are really good you get a lot of oranges and tangerines for a great price . If your in the area I would definitely stop by .
google avatar

Keri C.

Yelp
I have been wanting to stop in here for quite a while and finally made the trip this morning before I headed out grocery shopping. They do have a really interesting selection of artisanal foods aside from the citrus they're known for, but with artisanal comes higher prices. Ya, they gotta make their money some how! They also had a lot of interesting self made butters (like pumpkin butter, etc) and salad dressings that are very unique and would make a great splurge treat or gift for someone else so I'll be definitely keeping that in mind for the future.

Quang M.

Yelp
Owner needs to sort out the lower quality products and put on the side for people who want to buy it to make juice.

Karen V.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped at your store on Sunday the 14th. I waited in the car but needed a restroom. The staff graciously pointed me in the direction of the portables. As an old service station owner, I can appreciate the cleanliness of these facilities. A clean bathroom points to a good business and great customer service. Again, thank you for the service. The Vaughns P.S. We had been searching for ripe oranges due to our freezes here in the valley. Your oranges were juicy and freeze very well for future enjoyment. We also purchased preserves, pickled veggies and decadent lemon bars. What fun to wander your store!
google avatar

Kristen W.

Yelp
Oranges are of course delicious. The ambiance is super cute. We love picking up gift items from Gless ranch. It's also a great place to grab some Olivia's food. The prices are a bit high on everything.
google avatar

Kerry S.

Yelp
Review Update!!! LOVE this place now!! Lots of fun items from local businesses! Jams, jellies, salsa, drinks, crackers, cheese, fruit, candy, novelty items, pre-made oven ready dinners from small local restaurants, etc... Parking on both sides of building, all staff are friendly and wear masks. :)
google avatar

Coco E.

Yelp
Outside you will find Instagram worthy picturesque landscape with an abundance of citrus trees. Inside you will find a large makeup of local and wholesale vendors, fresh food, desserts, gifts, home items you name it they got it!
google avatar

Winny H.

Yelp
First time coming here and was super surprised at this ranch location. Lots of Gless Ranch items for sale. Ranging from variety of oranges in 8 pound or 20 pounds for sale. Valencia oranges are available for summer time. Carra Carra are available for winter time. Navel oranges are available October through June. Staf here is super friendly and store has a ton of variety of products. Most are Gless product but they also sell local store products. Saw a lot of nuts and jams for sale. Also saw freshly squeezed juice and desserts on display. Will definitely come back next time and take time to look at all products.
google avatar

Susy B.

Yelp
The market is nestled in an orchard so it is easy to find. SLOW DOWN WHILE APPROACHING as it is easy to drive by also! Plenty of parking available in a private lot only. This used to be a small shack but now it is a small market packed with variety of wholesome items. Obviously they have BAGS OF ORANGES/LEMONS but I also found eggs, avocados, as well as other fruit/vegetables. fyi, they also have jams, dried fruit, nuts, and candies. If there is something in particular you are looking for I would recommend to call ahead. We learned about this market while visiting the California Citrus State Historic Park in Riverside because Gless Ranch runs the little shack adjacent to the park. We sometimes drive here just for the avocados! lol

Yelp
The farmers market is amazing, great produce and the oranges and grapefruits are so amazing. I moved here from the east coast and have been blown away by the amazing citrus of Riverside - check out the farmers market and get a big bag of oranges, you will be glad you did!!

Yelp
I was visiting Riverside and I came across this local business. The citrus industry is Riverside's history, so I had to stop by and check out what produce they had. I was surprised to find they were set up more like a little market than just a fruit stand with many locally sourced goods. I was excited to find Old Town Bakery bread. They had cheese bread, sourdough, cinnamon, squaw bread, and jalapeño cheese bread. The price was comparable to a store and the bread was fresh. They also had several varieties of oranges, including a 5 pound bag of seedless cuties type oranges. They also had navel and Cara Cara oranges. The market has a sweet citrus scent when you enter. They also have a refrigerated section with juices, cheeses, spreads, salsas and other products. I also saw they had a large container of local bee pollen. They also sell snacks such as nuts and candy. I also saw they had Stonewall Kitchen products. They also have little cute citrus themed gifts by the register. They also sell fresh produce such as vegetables and strawberries. The strawberries looked delicious. Service was excellent and the check out it was fast. I will be back again to visit.

Yelp
Cool place to get unique snacks, fresh squeezed orange juice, citrus produce, Sunkist candy, and Riverside citrus grove themed gifts. Great place to stop by on the way to Riverside National Cemetery or March Air Force Base!

Bethany K.

Yelp
What a fun & beautiful place! So many delicious things to eat & beautiful gifts to see. Even the parking lot is charming, surrounded by orange groves & old tractors. We love picking up treats for ourselves & gifts for others here. A hidden gem in Riverside!
google avatar

Shawn T.

Yelp
We came in and bought an 8 pound bag of oranges. Most of them were sweet and very enjoyable; but mixed in the bag were some not so good oranges, and a few that went moldy quickly at the bottom of the bag.
google avatar

Tosha L.

Yelp
Nice indoor type of farmers market. Decent selection of fruits of veggies. Although the selection isnt huge, the prices for what they have is pretty good. Snacks and chips range for $2 and up. Candies and nuts range from $3-$10. If I'm not mistaken, I believe the pistachios were the most expensive. There was a vendor there , giving out samples of the MicroGreens he grows, and he wasnt wearing gloves. Like he literally was cutting it, and handing it out with his bare hands. There was another vendor there that handed out samples of his garlic spread soft pita bread (he wore gloves). The spread was really tasty. Needless to say, I will be returning, I like that store!
google avatar

Randy M.

Yelp
Since 1958! Really?! Along Van Buren Blvd at Barton Road start pumping your brakes! Gotta stop here! Friendly staff and cozy comfy country atmosphere! Prepare to leave some money behind. There's no way you'll walk out of here without making some kind of purchase. Fresh produce that include both fruits and vegetables. Candies, nuts, beef jerky, baked goods like pastries or bread. All kinds of beverages including IPA brews I haven't seen anywhere else. I could go on and on. So here's the deal. Just get over there. Get down there. Make your move over to Gless Ranch. Put it on your bucket list. Bookmark it. Whatever you need to do to go there at least once, just do it!
google avatar

Michelle N.

Yelp
My sister took my family and I here once go get oranges and now we're hooked! The oranges here are perfectly sweet, great for a snack, and when juicing there is no need to add water or extra sugar--it's so tasty and refreshing too! Currently they are doing construction to rebuild their building so they have a little fruit stand on the side but they're still open! I haven't seen anything beat their 25lb bag of quality oranges for $10 yet! Workers are nice enough though it is harder to talk to them now that their cashier stand is high up and the fruit stand itself if rather small. When stock starts to run out however they have a forklift ready to bring over another container of fruit! I don't think I'll stop getting oranges here anytime soon
google avatar

Yelp
Store full of goodies and Ashley is the best , super nice and very welcoming. Go there and I guarantee there's something you'll like

Yelp
They have the sweetest navel oranges in the inland empire. My family loves their products.

Yelp
I'm so disappointed that most of my grapefruits are rotten. I bought this bag 2 days ago. I don't think I'll be buying any more produce from there.

Yelp
WoW!! The cara cara oranges are very delicious!!!! The best oranges I have ever eaten. I discovered them because a family member of a patient brought 2 gift bags full of them for the staff. I found one and thought I'll eat this since I didn't bring breakfast. I was so amazed that I took 3 home. I highly recommend them. I will now begin to purchase some of my fruit from Glenn Ranch. THANK yOu!!!

Lisa S.

Yelp
I have come here on many occasions. Twice I made gift boxes for people, and they were thrilled with their gifts. The ladies here are always so helpful

Tameka L.

Yelp
I've passed this little stand numerous times and wanted to go inside . I got my chance when I realized they carried products from local Riverside restaurants Olivia's and Ancho's. I was there in the afternoon and the selection was pretty picked through. I wanted Olivia's Spanish rice . There wasn't any left.Well kept shop , small feel . There were some original hometown items for sale as well as food . The pricing for the food was a little high for me. I came for milk too , but a 1/2 gallon almond was a little over $4.50.I didn't make any purchases this time . May stop in again in the future for one of their specialty days.
google avatar

Yelp
What a lovely store. All the employees were so personable, friendly and helpful. So many gourmet type items, jams, honey, infused oil's, fruits and vegetables! Can't wait to go back again
google avatar

Ashley F.

Yelp
Great local farmers market. Lots of variety and love the fact they carry local business products.
google avatar

Mavy C.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years and I will probably never stop. Not only are the prices great, the fruit sweet, and the customer service great, but they just updated the building and added a whole little market full of goodies. Plus, they now have plenty of parking, and a cute backdrop for pictures. In the fall, they set up a mini pumkpin patch/picture area that's great for the kiddos if you don't want to make (and pay for!) the trip to one of the big patches around the area. Overall a great place to get local, giant, sweet oranges. I only wish they had a small trail or walkway where we could walk among the trees. Maybe one day.
google avatar

Didi L.

Yelp
I'm so disappointed! We moved from Riverside, Ca to Tucson, Az and our last stop was the Gless Ranch so we could buy a large bag of oranges as gifts to our new neighbors. We bought them yesterday and today I was going to make up a few baskets. We opened the bag to find several rotten oranges and the rest were green! What a rip off! I was always bragging about the great service and quality of items at Gless but I guess it's not that way any more. Don't let the orange bag fool you. Citrus never ripens once it's been picked. Buyer beware!!!
google avatar

Eric M.

Yelp
I love buying there large bags of Navel oranges to make the best freshly cold pressed Juice. Mmmm.
google avatar

Kelly B.

Yelp
My parents have been coming here for the fresh oranges so they brought me by yesterday to check it out. This used to be a little shack selling oranges from the farm but now they have a lovely building with a lot of other produce and food products. Many local and organic products like jams and nuts to say the least.
