Google
I will be back. This menu is vast, want to try more, third time I have been here, but not this location, I used to go in Dallas and the food was good wanted to try here. Latin Restaurant Gloria's has brunch on Saturday, these Tres Leches waffles 🧇 were just the right sweetness, and they have a Tex-Mex menu and more traditional menu, lots to choose from. All delicious! The pureed black bean dip with green and red salsa was the best! I thought the cool contemporary vibe of furnishings in the restaurant was a great escape, love the openness of the high ceilings in the restaurant.

Google
This place was fantastic. Great service Great food. I was scared coming here for the first time but they did not fail to impress, and I don’t say that lightly. You will not be displeased. Not crazily overpriced either!….Will be back. 💕💕

Google
I honestly thought it was a good place to eat. I've been to cheap places and they have good food. I ordered fajita with shrimp. It was just 3 super small pieces of meat with 3 shrimp. The shrimp were super hard, the meat tasteless. I ordered a ceviche it was better. The drinks were good. Our waiter disappeared after we paid the bill. we had to call someone to order more drinks

Google
From start to finish, this was an excellent experience. The valet was nice. Our waiter was top-notch. He made great suggestions and answered any questions we had with a smile. Now, the food... It was very visually appealing. The colors on the plate caught my eye. That was nothing compared to the taste. The veggies were amazing. The rice was really tasty. The quail was delectable. I mean seasoned to perfection. The portion size was big enough to feed 2 people, although my husband said that he's not sharing next time. I have a feeling we'll be back next week.

Google
Huge spot for latin vibes and tastes transformed for USA. Definitely very good food with nice atmosphere, great bar options. Cocktails are fair and overall place is not expensive. It’s hard to compete in this category in Houston, therefore four stars.

Google
10/10 - got there around 8:15p and they closed at 9 PM. We were seated promptly and service was great food was inexpensive. They have a full bar would highly recommend anyone who wants to try different Latin cuisines. I had the tamales and my dinner date had the fish dinner. The tamales were Salvadoran tamales so they are a bit sweeter which I loved. They were stuffed with chicken and potatoes.

Google
Great food and great drinks! Came to eat dinner with my friends and was not expecting such delicious food! Thanks to Augusto, we received great service, and such friendly hospitality! Please come and visit Augusto soon! We will be back soon! Make sure you have cash for the vallet parking.

Google
Exceeded my expectations. My first time going and definitely will not be my last. Such a nice atmosphere. The food was good and so was the service. On Sunday's the mimosas are $5.

Yelp
Treated my friend for his birthday on Thursday September 12, 2024, there were 3 of us, all senior citizens. Food was excellent!!! We each had a different entree and were not disappointed with our choice. BUT, have to give a shout-out to our waiter, Walter. He treated us with respect and was so delightful with his personality. Very attentive and entertaining, we were all smiles when we left. The manger was also very respectful to us, (sorry that I don't remember his name). You will have to ask him about Bertha. Don't gave another thought about the valet parking, (he was also nice), the ambiance, decor, excellent food, affordable prices, and friendly service is well worth it! Go there tonight, you will not be disappointed.

Jade W.

Yelp
Their chips, salsas, and bean dip were delicious. We came for drinks, which did not disappoint. We started with the house margarita, which was absolutely delicious. We also had a lemon drop-like cocktail; I cannot think of the name of it. It was tasty as well. All of their cocktails were perfectly balanced. The showstopper of the evening was Gloria's signature margarita. I didn't think I was going to like it because I'm not a frozen drinks type of person. It was great! It was not too sweet and packed a punch. I would return for the signature margarita alone. I loved the mix of the margarita and the sangria and it being topped with Grand Marnier. Definitely a gold star. The bartender was pleasant, and the vibe was too. It was very enjoyable.

Yelp
Hayes down one of my favorite places to eat Mexican food have to try the bean dip. It's absolutely amazing. I don't remember the names of any of the things in these photos at all, but all I know is every time I order something I don't go wrong. the staff is great. Drinks are good when I used to drink. This would be a great place for me to drink, but they also have good mock tails as well. Very nice ambience good for groups, meetings, and date night.

Hannah G.

Yelp
A little pricey, but my tostones hit the spot! My mimosa was also really good! Our service was on point and the ambiance is really inviting!

Danielle N.

Yelp
The chips and salsas were really good different options. The egg white omelette was okay didn't have much flavor. The potatoes were good and flavorful. My bf enjoyed his chilaquiles de pollo. We had got a bottle for mimosas came with juices. Nice restaurant will come back just for the mimosas and appetizers

Stephanie H.

Yelp
Sunday Brunch Review: Gloria's Latin Cuisine Gloria's downtown Houston on Louisiana never misses! Even though I don't brunch there often, I'm always glad they offer both their brunch and regular menu. We enjoyed delicious mimosas, and I also ordered a mango margarita--both were amazing and smooth. For food, I had the Tres Leche Waffles, chicken enchiladas, and the Ajneole shrimp with spinach and rice. Each dish was flavorful and satisfying. The atmosphere was pleasant, with music playing at just the right volume to allow for conversation and table games. The waitstaff was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I will most definitely visit again!

Ifoma O.

Yelp
I've driven past Gloria's a few times before but finally decided to stop by and was quite amazed! It's so spacious inside with a great ambiance for every occasion - whether you're coming after work, for a date night, or for a casual catch up session. Food was delicious!! From the complimentary chips and fresh salsa to the drinks (they also have a generous happy hour that I will be frequenting). The brisket tacos and quesadillas were soo flavorful and filling. The whole experience hit the spot and was very satisfying!

Jesse M.

Yelp
Always a good time here. Service was slow but it was pretty busy for brunch. Our waiter did keep skipping over people at the table and walking away before we were done but usually great service. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. Loved the old fashioned I got, you can never go wrong. Will be back.

Thanh D.

Yelp
Good food but service so slow !!! We waited a long time, almost 20 minutes, when we ordered the second bottle of wine.

Kalia A.

Yelp
I love coming to Gloria's for the food, drinks, and vibes! The Serrano garlic salmon is AMAZING and so is the sopa de pollo. They also have a delicious flan and ceviche! This location is most valet parking but if you come early for salsa nights, you can find good street parking. They also have the option for you to get seats/sections beforehand. Also, can't beat the live bands that play in between the DJ. I was so excited that I forgot to take more pics!

Lizz M.

Yelp
Nice spacious place, it has been remodeled they said. Went for my friends bday because she wanted to stay for the Latin dancing after. Service was quick for our big party. The chips and salsas were good and held us over while our food arrived. I had an espresso martini with dinner and it tasted like straight up liquor, no flavor whatsoever. My dinner was also ok. I had the steak with cheese and a side of rice and black beans. Everything was a little over salted but it was still edible with some salsa poured on top. Be aware that if you take too long to eat they will kick you out of your table so they can get ready for the night. They work fast too!

Carey W.

Yelp
Carne Asada 5/5 Pupusas 2/5 Overall a really nice Tex-mex restaurant that has an ambience that's a mix of classy date night spot and a club (which my friend said actually turns into a club late at night). I got the Carne Asada and it was AMAZING! The sauce goes so well with the meat, which was juicy and tender. All the sides were great compliment to the meat to make it not overwhelming. However, I did try my friend's puposas, and it tasted bland and did not have any sauces to go with it that I commonly see in street food or other restaurants. But overall I think place this is definitely worth a try!

Mahwish S.

Yelp
I called yesterday to book a reservation and the hostess told me they weren't accepting any more reservations for Saturday. She told us we were able to come and do waitlist. We arrived around 7pm and waited about 10 minutes for a table. The restaurant wasn't that busy though, maybe half the tables were full. They give you complimentary chips and salsa. I love their black bean dip! I ordered the prickly pear margarita. It definitely is a strong drink! For entree I had their salmon plate that comes with black rice, plantains and vegetables. I asked for my salmon to be cooked medium well and it was perfect. It also had great seasoning on it. Janna was our server. She checked on us frequently. She also brought a complimentary birthday flan for dessert and sang happy birthday. It was a nice dinner with friends. FYI Valet is $5 before 9pm and $10 after 9.

Yelp
I have been to Gloria's Latin Cuisine a few times at night for some Latin dancing but this was my first time visiting for dinner. And it was my first time visiting the location at Baybrook Mall rather than Midtown. Located in the new wing of Baybrook, I found parking in the parking lot a few minutes away by foot. What immediately strikes you about Gloria's is its elegance. Nice ambiance which makes it a good date spot. We sat at a table for two and started off with some cocktails. I went with the pomegranate margarita. It's tough to say no to a marg when you're at a Latin restaurant. They also start you off with some complimentary plantain chips. Freebies are always appreciated! From there, I had the Lechon Asado which is a grilled pork tenderloin that comes with chile ancho sauce, plantains, yuca, Spanish rice, and black bean soup. I loved the variety of sides that come with the dish. The pork tenderloin was a bit dry which took the dish down a notch. But still overall well done. We finished things off with some churros for dessert. A Mexican classic! Service was standard.

Amber J.

Yelp
I absolutely enjoyed and loved my experience at Gloria's. I visited the restaurant on a Friday night. I expected it to be packed with a wait but thankfully we were seated immediately. The restaurant provides a very relaxed and mellow vibe. It's great for a date night or even dinner with friends. The margarita was just right. The flavor was perfect. Also the chicken quesadilla was tasty. The guacamole on the side was also delicious and I would have loved to have more. I will definitely be visiting again for more margaritas and quesadillas.

Morgan F.

Yelp
I wanted to like this place so much but it disappointed. Very cute inside and not busy at all on a taco Tuesday and I can understand why. Started with a house strawberry margarita and the tequila tasted like it was a headache waiting to happen with a strong weird taste. We all ended up paying the extra for premium which was only herradura tequila which is still lower end tequila in my mind. The queso and the green salsa were the saving graces. Very tasty. I got the redfish for my meal and it was overcooked and not flavorful and I really didn't like the sauce on it. My friend got the steak plate and enjoys hers. Another friend got the fajitas and said it was ok but not the best she has had. Our server was really sweet tho.

Jenny M.

Yelp
Awesome food and service! We go every week to get half price wine and fabulous Latin food. Jonathan is a wonderful manager and all the wait staff are friendly and super helpful and efficient . They even have salsa dancing on Saturday night.

Cherise C.

Yelp
Fresh Food and Amazing service. My husband and sat at the bar and enjoyed ourselves. I wish there was a location on my side of town. Highly recomended.

Jack C.

Yelp
The four stars is mainly for the Latin Dance Night experience. There is a live band, which is awesome. The band played a variety of salsa, bachata, cumbia, and merengue. The dance floor is nice and big. The staff made sure any spilled drinks are quickly cleaned up which is nice. The bar staff are also quick to respond and are very friendly. The food is ok though.

Brenda S.

Yelp
Great service. Great food. Ate my entree before I could post it but I got the Salmon Chimichurri Salada.

Sammy O.

Yelp
This place is always happening, I love the food, the service is excellent and the ambiance is always on point

Naomi M.

Yelp
The food was so good and fresh! Loved it Gloria's environment is so nice , music was great . Service was a bit iffy , waitress was very rude and disappeared when it was time to close out & get the check. Overall I give it an 8/10

Jen S.

Yelp
Valet parking makes this location simple to visit. A welcome amenity for mid town. Our server, Jose, was absolutely amazing and provided outstanding service that really set the tone! So let's talk about the margaritas.... because they are good! Several to choose from but i like to try the House first. I enjoyed it so much I didn't try any other. Then we tried a few appetizers - the pupusas and queso fundido. Both were very good. Extra treat that the server mixes the Fundido and then stuffs into fresh tortillas, rolls and presents a plate full to eat. These were really good and I'm already wanting to go back and have more ! The Pupusas were also good, and filling, but not the superstar I was hoping for. The appetizers, plus the chips and salsa earlier, were pretty filling so we loved to dessert and coffee. The churros came out hot, crisp, and topped with a scoop of vanillas ice cream and sliced strawberry with a side of caramel... YUM. Save room for it !

Noah H.

Yelp
Great vibe, awesome menu options, good portions. Solid price for the quality and amount. Service was sharp. Gilmar helped me and was great.

Jessica R.

Yelp
Service 10/10 Food 10/10 Music/ Environment 10/10 Would most definitely come back. Sat at the bar, Francisco was an amazing waiter.

David G.

Yelp
I lived in Dallas for 13 years and now I live in Florida. Im back in Texas for a graduation and had to stop by here. Its one of my favorite places to eat in Texas. The carne asada is my favorite dish. They cook the skirt steak perfectly. The chimichury that comes with it really raises it to another level. It also comes with plaintains, yuca fries, and some tasty spanish rice. Their dips for the chips are awesome. Not only do you get salsa but you get warm black bean dip as well. Service is always top notch. The inside of the restaurant is decorated well and is very upscale looking. If you are in Dallas or Houston you meed to try Glorias.

Casey Y.

Yelp
Love Gloria's. Was a regular for years at their midtown location and was happy when I heard about the woodlands location being built. I love this brand. Service and drinks are phenomenal

N L.

Yelp
Very irritated to the fact that I had a reservation for 16 on Dec 18 and when we showed up, they were closed, saying that there was a power outage. Basically, when was someone going to call me and let us know or even send a text message to anyone that had reservations for my 5:45 PM time and until I'm quite sure that we weren't the only ones that showed up that night after I received a text to confirm, however we were able to find a nearby restaurant that we all could eat it at the last minute. They could have at least called the next day to say what was going on. Debating if I will ever consider this place again.

Anay S.

Yelp
My first time at Gloria's we went because of all the rave we heard of this place. I got really excited when I saw that they had enmoladas because no other place offers this dish. It was nothing like enmoladas are, and that was my first mistake in choosing this dish because I was looking for authentic Mexican food something that would taste near as good as the enmoladas that my mom made yet that isn't their main specialty it is just a piece of it. I tried it again, and the second time was better. I really enjoyed their tamales, and their shrimp tacos. They have authentic food, but not everything will hit the spot.

Shernell H.

Yelp
I have been coming here for a very a long time and have yet to have a bad experience. Customer service has always been excellent and food has always been a success. This was my first time getting Churrasco Tipico dish and it exceeded ALL of my expectations. Everything on this plate was exceptional. I didn't get the tres leches this go around but that is always absolutely delicious. Per usual, I will be back.

Tamieka B.

Yelp
This review might be a little biased because my friends chose to eat here when I was fasting from cheese...I know, I should have just went home. Anyway, after looking at the menu ten times, I finally settled on the Ceviche trio and a sparkling peach margarita. The ceviche was supposed to come w/ shrimp, scallop and fish flavors. But instead, the scallop ceviche was replaced with octopus and it was very tough and unappetizing. In addition the shrimp option was super sweet and I hate overly sweet anything. Yet, the fish was really good. Chips and salsa were also really good. My drink was too sweet and I have it away as well. Waiter was efficient and the ambiance is on point, so I might be willing to give them another shot???

Karli S.

Yelp
The ambiance feels more upscale and I love it. My husband and I had the ceviche trio appetizer and it was so good. Our food was also wonderful. We brought our kids for an early dinner and they had a great variety of options and even included an option of side of veggies (yay!). The waiter was very attentive and food was out relatively quickly. Great experience for just opening!

Jenny T.

Yelp
Love how spacious Gloria's is now since the Renovation. The nude walls and decor give it such a clean and sleek vibe. We came on a Sunday morning and even though it was PACKED we got sat down quickly. Love the beans they give with the chips and salsa! For my lunch I got the Carne Asada that was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The chimichurri paired well with the steak. Definitely recommend coming in weekend nights for dinner to enjoy the dancing now that there is more space. Do not come here for an intimate dinner or date because it is loud!!

Billy C.

Yelp
Spinach enchiladas, so good. I like the sour cream topping, but others are available the lunch plate is reasonably priced and a great value the red and green both are ok but no heat, would love to see a second green with some heat the bean dip is REALLY good

AuBriana B.

Yelp
Came in for a late lunch when a friend came in town. First, I absolutely love the remodel! Before the pandemic, this location was closed due to construction, so I'm glad to see that it's reopened. It's now bigger; double the original bar size, and double the dine-in seating space. Services is always great and this time was no different. We ordered Steak Fajita Quesadillas with a side of rice and a Chicken Chimichanga with black beans instead of pinto beans. Meat was tender and juicy, and the food was hot when it arrived to the table. Margarita swirl and a mango strawberry margarita to drink. The swirl is always delicious; nice and strong. Not sure if it's the mango purée or what, but the mango margarita can sometimes be a bit off. Still delicious but not as good as the swirl. Anyways, you can never go wrong dining in or picking up from Gloria's. If you haven't had the black bean dip, you're seriously missing out! If you haven't had it in a while like me, it's just as good as I remember.

Bee T.

Yelp
I enjoyed Gloria's! I haven't been in years but I'm glad I got to visit again and will be back soon! The food and drinks are just how I remember fresh and delicious!

C H.

Yelp
Food was ok. Could have been spicier. Found that it was somewhat bland. Tortillas soup was good. Poblano with beef was nothing special. Chicken enchilada was also bland. No flavor. Atmosphere was nice Service was great Will visit again and try different menu items

Stephanie H.

Yelp
Finally had a chance to try this place after hearing about it and passing it by. Here are my key take aways from it. We had a reservation for a group of 10 of us on a Saturday and this is before the dancing began. Server: 5/5 Our server was super nice and sweet. He was very welcoming, helpful with food and drink options and overall a great server. Food: 3/5 The food was okay, I got the carne flameada but was not what I expected. The meat itself was delicious but the cheese, tomato sauce, mushrooms and onions overpowered it all. I ate it without any of the veggies. It was just off. Issues: Around 10-10:15 we were told that close to 11pm they start clearing out tables to make room for the dance floor and since we had a late reservation they told us not to rush. 10:30ish comes along and they told us it was last call for food and at this point we were done eating and waiting for the birthday cake. Well they decided to stand and hover next to our table because they needed to move us out. Vicente/Victor, don't remember his name, was very rude and told us we needed to hurry because they needed to move us and that dancing started at 11. At this point it was 10:45 and we were waiting for our checks. We told him they could move our plates etc we just needed to close out. Well he took the little trifold flyer from the table and put it to another guests face and told her had to move now because of the music. After all that unnecessary fiasco, we got our stuff and left. He still stood there and would not move the tables etc. Probably won't make it a point to go back unless invited for an event.

Brittany H.

Yelp
Destination for greet and meet. The Selected dish had a nice flavor. Only flaw was it lacked the serving size of rice to accommodate the dish. My table guest and I really wanted more love on the rice. And the staff could've been a bit more attentive. Once we brought this to her attention, she got the manager and the solution (side of rice) was filled once the meal was completed.

Jennice H.

Yelp
A great place to visit if you're looking for Salvadoran food but want to impress a date. Aesthetic ambiance lighting with an artistic chandelier. Go for their brunch and get a bottle of Prosecco to make your own mimosa.

Carlton C.

Yelp
Great food and good service with bartenders (Osman, Fernando, Bianca, Jose mgr, Johnathan mgr, Gerardo, estavio, but there are some new Assistant managers that need to be more professional (Jorge)

Susan H.

Yelp
What a fun place. Very nice ambiance. We were there for my birthday party and sat on the patio. Juan, our waiter was soooo nice, patient and attentive to our party of 7. The food did not disappoint. It was delicious and portions were nice size. I was however disappointed with the drinks. I had a Mexican Martini and Milagro Spicy Mango Margarita(less spicy) and they were just not appealing. We will however be back.

Dharitri B.

Yelp
Food was excellent with great ambience but we had to wait 40 mins for table as it was busy Saturday and we did not have reservations .we all had great dining experience there as we went there to celebrate my birthday. Overall food, drinks ,ambience everything was great so definitely will go back .

Sam T.

Yelp
I love this place, I've had a lot of fun here, don't get me wrong I've seen them be very strict on dress codes, but the Food is excellent, it says is a Tex Mex place , but it really isn't, for the most part this are central, and South American foods, the Pupusas for example is a central American dish from El Salvador, the carne asadas are not Tex mex flavors at all, but come see for yourself, be ready to dance your way out by the end of the night.

Michelle Z.

Yelp
We decided to have a girls dinner at Gloria's and had such a wonderful experience! The food was delicious , drinks were so good, and our server was very attentive and provided good recommendations with food and drinks. We were served by Rudy and he was very polite and courteous to us. He always came to check if we needed anything and overall he made my first dining experience at Gloria's the best! We are already planning to go back for dinner

Ada J.

Yelp
Gloria's is a great restaurant to visit in Midtown! The ambiance is classy for a date night or girls night out but can also be casual. While you wait for your food, you're served complimentary chips, salsa, and bean dip. The salsa is delicious but I still dream about the bean dip. If you happen to come during happy hour, definitely take advantage of it! There's plenty of drinks and cocktails at reasonable prices. The menu is pretty extensive serving Latin and Tex-Mex cuisine. I ordered the Gloria's Super Special, which is a basically a sample platter. Would recommend if you're like me and like to try a little bit of everything. Parking can be a bit of a hassle. The parking lot is reserved for valet which is complimentary during weekdays but $20 on weekends.

Indira B.

Yelp
Excellent food and ambience. La comida muy bien presentada y preparada al igual que los cocteles.

Erica W.

Yelp
Go! Really cute for date night. I would recommend dressing up. Definitely a cute heel They have valet or street parking. Our food was super good. All of it! The service was quick and friendly. We sat at the bar and were served by Eduardo. He made amazing drinks.

enzo l.

Yelp
We left our phones be came back for it.. all the bartenders acted like they didn't have it but since I was tracking it, it showed it was there! Never again coming back here they suck at good service
