Gloria's is one of my favorite spots to eat in Moab. I was actually blown away with how amazing this spot was and I am a bit shocked it wasn't more packed during my trip to Moab. It was so good, that I visited twice during the same visit down to southern Utah.
I was needing a place to get some work done but I also wanted something delicious and unique. I didn't just want a mediocre fast food burrito or a side of eggs and bacon. I went on the hunt, and found Gloria's. They seemed to have a diverse menu with lots of yummy options, so I was excited to check it out.
I visited Gloria's during the evening and opted to sit outside on their patio. There was nobody else out on their patio when I arrived, which was shocking because this patio is CUTE. It has string lights up above, they have heater towers, and they have an awesome view of Moab Main Street. Another thing that I absolutely loved about Gloria's is that they also offered Wifi! This was great to utilize while I was eating my dinner, as I was able to get work done.
I immediately knew I wanted the chicken caesar wrap. It looked absolutely delicious and was practically screaming my name. Basically, it was chicken, romaine lettuce, croutons, shredded parmesan cheese and caesar dressing wrapped in a spinach tortilla. I was a bit unsure how all of this would taste together in a wrap, specifically the crunchy croutons. However, it all paired perfectly together! The entire dish was delicious. With the chicken caesar wrap, I also got a side of fries with ranch, which was a great addition to the dish.
They also had a special margarita that was calling my name. It was infused with hibiscus. Sometimes, I like the idea of a margarita more than I like the margarita itself. It wasn't the bartenders fault. I have nobody to blame but myself. But it was a bit sour for my liking and I wasn't the biggest fan, but again, to no fault of anyone else.
The chicken caesar wrap ran me about $15 and then the drink was another $10ish. They were both good and I liked that I could order and check out through a QR code on the table.
The second time I visited Gloria's, I ordered their strawberry twist. It was absolutely delicious--I am so glad I ordered it. The strawberry twist came with strawberry juice, pineapple sherbet, strawberries and bananas. It was $7 for a 16 ounce drink or $9 for a 24 ounce.
The service was a bit rough. Like, the worst I had during my entire visit to Southern Utah. I love the idea of the QR code but it also gets frustrating when you basically get ignored because of this. My first visit was quite a bit worse than my second visit. I was sitting on the patio and had checked out, but was hoping for a box. The server working the outside tables didn't check on me once, and then tried to push me out, by stacking chairs on the table I was sitting at. It was a pretty rough experience. The second time, I think the guy serving me meant well, but I had to find him in the bar after waiting outside for over 20 minutes for my bill (the order wasn't through the QR code).
All in all, the food at Gloria's was absolutely incredible but certain people that work there could be quite a bit nicer. I mean, I can handle quite a lot but she was almost physically pushing me away. I love the vibes and the food was delicious. I hope to have a great experience if I return again!
