Tiny hole in the wall soil food restaurant. Delicious! No tables just service counter. Tiny Tiny parking lot, we found street parking. I got the ribs, corn & organic, mashed potatoes. My boyfriend got smothered chicken, cabbage, and greens. We got 2 meals out of it. It was the best soul food I've ever had. Went after an event at the intuit dome. Took the food to Rowland heights and it was still hot! Bang for the buck! This place is fuiyoh! Not fancy just great tasty food done right with love! Very very strongly recommend! I'm going back the next time I'm in the area.

I wanna believe this is one of those hole in the wall places that’s been a neighborhood stable for decades now, but as of 2025 this place is not worth the price. I got the oxtail dinner with mac & cheese and collard greens. The mac & cheese was probably the best thing on my plate. not cheesy, but creamy and flavorful. The collard greens and the oxtail, including the gravy, were bland. very under-salted and under-seasoned. The cornbread muffin that came with it was just OK, honestly tasted like it was out of the box. For $33 I expected more, it just did not get what I needed to give.

One year local in View Park, native to Alabama. I’ve been craving soul food, oxtails in particular, but I haven’t known where to start exploring. Today I found out Gloria’s is less than a mile from me so I stopped by. The food is outstanding and reasonably priced, I will definitely be a regular customer. Oxtails, yams, collards, tuna casserole, peach cobbler and Jiffy. I have enough food for today, tonight and tomorrow. I very much appreciate the ladies who made me feel welcome and invited me back for Thanksgiving- this is where I’ll be :-)

OBSESSED!!!! How have I never been here before and I live so close 😭?! Just incredibly delicious and flavorful 😋 I’m coming back tomorrow 😅 This taste like when you finally get an amazing partner and you mad that they had a life before you and been with other people 😂😂 its soo good I’m mad I didn’t know about it sooner! Friendly staff and great prices for the quality food you receive!

The food is tasty; however, I placed a delivery order, only to find out, they don't deliver!! I am still waiting for my $70 refund. No credit was offered, NOTHING

Worth every penny! Everything was seasoned and tasteful and everyone I encountered was super polite! Definitely would recommend.

On the Google page the prices are very reasonable but when you get there you’ll see no prices listed for anything. I ordered some pork ribs, cabbage, green beans and a small side of white beans. Everything tasted really great but imagine my surprise when the price was almost $30. Online, the average side is $2 and main dishes were about $5-7. The portions are very generous but I’m used to Chef Marilyn’s prices. Equal quality at both places. Parking is limited, I parked a block away. The counter people were very friendly and helpful. A small side of beans is $1.50 but I was charged $7.50. I felt really cheated.

There food (menu) is very delicious and tasty, with nice healthy portions given out to there customers.

If you want some good soul food this is the place my daughter took me to this place and let me tell you the food is so so good if you had one of them Grandmothers that love to be in the kitchen and cook from scratch this is the place to be at I drive from the other side of town every time I got my Child father hooked and all my friends thank you for your service and good food

I don't know where to start but the soul food Mexican restaurant is a hell no I understand it's probably been there for years but no more the macaroni and cheese taste like they put lemon juice in it but beyond further investigation I believe that she's a spoiled the green beans that I got a hard like they haven't boiled it ain't cook it almost I don't know. The oxtails was not giving don't taste no seasoning the gravy is water powder more powder the rice is they just boil the rice they didn't add no salt pepper to nothing to none of this cornbread hard as a damn Rock. The lady service she helped us was okay A little bit of English. And Ambience of a restaurant is to go place don't sit down and eat the prices is over ridiculous $33 for oxtails rice nasty mac and cheese nasty green beans nasty cornbread and then they had a nerves to charge me $4 for a Snapple and never go back.

Walked in and was greeted by a very stunned man. He was like ..... that was odd. Then I asked for the fried catfish and he said they couldn't do that right now.....was unclear as to WHY it couldn't be done. That was also odd to me.... So I settled for the baked salmon with the Mac & yams. All food is buffet style so you'll be able to see the quality (minus the baked salmon) .... The mac was great. Everything else is lacking in quality and taste for my liking. I paid $27 for the this and I am sad it didn't hit like I wanted it to.

I ordered the pork chops and they were not baked maybe broiled and then put in the gravy not browned or fried and the meat was pinkish I recommend bake or frying wasted my time and money on food that wasn't cooked properly!

We've been there a couple of times the staff and the owner is really nice and friendly.The place is small but clean, We have ordered oxtails with rice,greens, cabbage, barbecue chicken and catfish. They only offer take out. But it's a nice little La gem.

Had the veggie plate the food was decent this is my 2nd time eating here and I was impressed by how seasoned and tasty the food was. I highly Recommend eating here

I have only one problem with Glorias now, the price is too high! $25 for a salmon platter. $23 for a catfish dinner? They raised their prices which is understandable, yet they went too high. The value of the food is no longer.

Food was nothing to brag about, Food to go only. I ordered spinach, canned yams which appear to be from the can and fish food was not seasoned to my satisfaction. I have no complaints, but I probably won't go back again.

The service and food is outstanding - Gloria has a variety of meal choices "to go only": meat - seafood - veggies - including cornbread & great deserts - her portions r good & her prices r comparable! Cookie

Went there today because I am trying to eat healty got some salmon, spinach, and cabbage. First off why is it so expensive? My plate was $27.00 that's ridiculous. The salmon was bland I had to put some salt and pepper on it just to be able to eat it. The spanich taste like the Popeye's spinach out of the can, on everything I don't care what they say that spinish was out of the can. I though it was a soul food place why is it mexican and soul where they do that at? That does not go together at all I will never go back there. ITS A NO FOR ME. I would of been better off going to waba grill getting salmon from there may not be the best but it's way cheaper. I'm telling you don't go. Gloria need to find a different career path cause cooking is not it. It was nasty.

This place has the best soul food, I've tried basically everything on the menu and it's nothing that I have dislike. The staff is absolutely wonderful and the portions is enough for you to have seconds

This place is great. I just started working in the neighborhood and I decided to eat at this place for lunch. I told the woman behind the counter it was my first time there and she was nice enough to recommend a few options, I decided to go with the turkey meatloaf with my sides as: Red Beans and Rice, and Mac & Cheese. Everything was really good. The portions were large and the service was very polite. I will definitely be going back there again!

Stopped here this afternoon for lunch not really paying attention to anything other than the sign saying Soul Food. I was expecting my Granny's Soul Food, but instead I got la comida del alma de mi abuela. Im not discriminating, just showing there is a difference. There were a few things missing from this meal and it was... Soul Food Seasoning. If you don't know what that means then you shouldn't be trying to cook soul food. I ordered the Meatloaf Dinner with Mac n Cheese and Cabbage. I can only say that it was just like my rating. It was ok. It was just ok because it wasn't bad or nasty, it just wasn't anything that would get you excited for Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner if it was being served. I think all these meals could have popped more with a little Cajun seasoning, pepper, and garlic powder could go a long way. Even ask pops in the back to sprinkle a little salt like Salt Bae and I promise it will make a difference. Theres nothing like that moment when you're seasoning your soul food and your ancestors touch your soul to tell you when to stop!

Let me start off by saying I'm extremely picky especially with my food. My bf ordered food and told me about this restaurant, however I did not try it. One day I was going to Hungry Joes located in the same parking lot but they had a long line, looked over and noticed Gloria's was open with a smaller line so decided to give it a try. I've been back 3 additional times in the last month. I've tried their fried catfish (seasoned perfectly and fried crispy), smothered ribeye steak (tender and so flavorful), yams, cabbage, dressing, and the mac and cheese are all delicious. Lastly, the owner Gloria is really nice and welcoming. I appreciate the great customer service especially nowadays where it seems to be a thing of the past. This is definitely my go to soul food restaurant now.

I was so glad to discover Gloria's because the food was outstanding. I hadn't eaten soul food in awhile and the fried chicken, meatloaf, BBQ ribs, greens, mac and cheese, and yams were all very tasty. I was impressed. The food looked very appetizing and attractive and the prices were very reasonable. They offered a wide selection of food items and the portions were very good. The restaurant was small but neat and clean. Gloria was very nice and accommodating. The only downside was parking was very limited in the small shared lot. I look forward to returning to Gloria's. Next time I'd like to try the fried catfish and other items.

Gloria's is the best soul Food around. If you need catering, food delivery, etc. look no further. My family loves her food it is now an annual tradition. The owner and staff work hard to provide fresh delicious hot food- never disappoints.

The food was great. The restaurant isn't anything fancy but I like the fact that you can see the food before you order. The food is in front of you kinda like Panda Express. We had the BBQ RIBS, yams, cabbage and Mac n cheese! All taste wonderful. We also ordered oxtail but it was mediocre to me.

First time here and we really enjoyed everything we ordered. The food was fresh, they had variety f entrees and sides, also a nice selection of drinks and desserts. The staff was friendly and would love to come back to support this business! I ordered the oxtails with black eyed peas, cabbage and a side of corn bread. The banana pudding was the perfect touch. All the meals are fairly priced with such great portions! Try them out for your next soul food fix!

Found this place by accident but I'm so glad that I did. The fried catfish was delicious! So was the cabbage, and sweet potatoes... That's all that I have the pleasure of trying, but I am sure to be back. Thanks to the people who make this food it's so good and gives me something to look forward to now on my business trips to Inglewood.

Ordered Oxtails and got something else. Fake Oxtails! I know what Oxtails taste and look like even they are cut up. BUYERS BEWARE

ISSA NO FOR ME! I don't like writing bad reviews but need to be honest because there's too many 4/5 star reviews on this page. I ordered an oxtail plate with Mac & cheese and yams when I tell you everything was nasty I mean everything!! No seasoning and just nasty. I had to throw it away...waste of $27.

This location is wonderful. They provide the best soul food for the cheapest price and they do catering I use them a lot.

Terrible service. Rude ladies serving and the cashier. Customer service is horrible. I paid $31 for a plate of oxtail with 2 sides. I was told, sorry the price has gone up.

Please do not sleep on this soul food restaurant! I was a little leery about going here because I had never heard of it. But, I decided to give it a try and I ordered the oxtails with mac and cheese and greens. It was off the chain!! This really, really do need to go viral! While I was going to this restaurant it was so hidden that I didn't see it at first. Before I walked in, the aroma of the flavors of the food slaps you in the face! I said to myself, this food probably doesn't taste like it smells. BOY, was I wrong! This is one of the best southern food on this side Inglewood I've had in a very long time. I challenge someone ANYONE to try it? I quote the nice lady who works there, I think it was "I promise you will be back".

Both the food and customer service are good. They do not, however, take covid safety measures seriously. A coworker approached the server as I was debating what to order, and handed her a cough drop as she continued to have sniffles and whip her nose with the hands she was using to serve us with no gloves are never worn when serving us. Following this encounter, I won't be returning here.

My husband made a large order at this place and paid in full. Everything was fine until he went to pick the order up. They told him they charged him wrong. He needs to pay $50.00 more or he hade to get a smaller order. That was their fault they should ate their mistake. They don't refund so your stuck with what they have to offer or pay more. It seemed like trickery own their end. The food is just okay I have had better. That was totally unfair business I don't plan to ever come here again.

Upon signing receipt, GLORIA handed me a pen that I watched several people use. When she handed the pen to me, I stated I can't use that pen that's not clean, it's COVID. She told me to bring my own pen next time. She was rude and unprofessional. She even chastised her staff in front of me and other customers. One worker opened a pack of sanitizing wipes, cleaned and handed me the pen. Just for being rude and having poor customer service, I will never visit again.

At Gloria's in Inglewood 1100 LaBrea Inglewood she serves Small portions of food, especially oxtails 5 small pieces cut from large oxtail for $30 bad services from Gloria the owner, and a lack of communication skills food prices are high for small quantities

Can I say the best soul food out of all places this is my first time getting food from here I got the black eye pease greens and ox tails very juicy and tender I will be back here again my new soul food spot and they was so nice I come all the way from dtla to Inglewood for some good soul food don't pass this place up :)

Gloria's husband is the cook and he was the cook at "Chef Marylin's Soul Food" many years before they opened this restaurant, so he knows how to make that lip smacking down home goodness. My personal favorites are the Candied Yams, Collard greens baked or fried cat fish, Ox tails, smothered Turkey wings and they have all kinds of gravy....maaaaan!

Ever since LA County and the City began shutting down due to the coronavirus pandemic, I've had the pleasure of patronizing this take-out restaurant (it's been @ 2 months now). The food is very tasty, well prepared and is reasonably priced as well! I plan on having their Gumbo for Christmas, and some more turkey w/ dressing too. I highly recommend this place, if you're looking for traditional soulfood, Mexican cuisine, coupled with salads, blended fruit juices, and desserts.

Gloria's Mexican soul food restaurant is a hidden gem in Inglewood. A family owned business located in the same lot as Hungry Joe's Jamaican restaurant. Gloria the owner is very sweet and always greet customers with a warm friendly smile. I always order the fried chicken fried shrimp and fried catfish. Its always cooked fresh when u order and perfectly seasoned. There are a variety of dishes to choose from and the prices are very reasonable. Quality food made with love and well worth my money.

Gloria's my go to when I want to come close I read some of the reviews on here which are kind of harsh I have tried several things on her menu which are good if you looking for your grandmas plate I suggest you go to her house and get one however if you want some decent food that can come very close come here it's definitely worth giving them a try

The Mac n Cheese is so delicious I need my own personal pan... People that know me know I'm not that big on MacNCheese so when I say it's good...Its good!

I'm not gonna give it a star, everything was Nasty and home girl at the counter need some customer service pointers. Stick to Mexican food because the soul food that you serving is disrespectful!!!!!! If you in the parking lot go on over to Hungry Hoes an get you some real food straight up

Where do I begin? I don't know who's giving great reviews but not hardly. Who messes up oxtails? They had no flavor, they were super tough which could have been avoided with a pressure cooker or longer cooking. The greens weren't flavorful, the yams were meh! Never again!! Oh, we did order one piece of fish strip and it was good.

Omg where do I start . The food is delicious. Today was my first time trying this restaurant and it was great . The place was clean . The staff was extremely nice and friendly. . Everything looked so good. Actually some of the reviews don't match the restaurant ... we got 3 plates ... the meatloaf was on point the Mac and cheese fire and the greens were great I will definitely go back to try more items
