We ordered the porterhouse steak with jumbo garlic shrimps and it was absolutely phenomenal — truly the best we’ve ever had! Adam was an incredible server: friendly, attentive, and he made us feel so special all night. Executive Chef Raymond is amazing and clearly pours his heart into every dish. My husband took me out to celebrate because I got hired today for a great new job, and it turned into such a beautiful night to remember. It was truly a memorable evening, filled with delicious food and so much joy. Glowbal was the perfect place to celebrate this special moment. Highly recommend for an unforgettable experience and exceptional service!

Hosted my engagement party in the outdoor garden patio and had an amazing time. The service and staff were amazing and it was great to see the general manager checking in throughout the event to ensure that we were enjoying our time. The restaurant event sales manager was also very easy to work with and made it easy to book the venue. The food was also amazing. I wish I had more of the kale salad, beef tenderloin was cooked perfectly and the chocolate layered cake was spot on. I would definitely come back in the future for hosting large events.

Came here to celebrate my birthday a few weeks ago with my school friends. The food and atmosphere at Glowbal are incredible. Special spotlight for our waiter Tyson who elevated our entire experience. Nice waiters are easy to find as you’re not getting paid to be rude to the customers, but Tyson went above and beyond. Tyson really showed that he knew the menu inside out and gave excellent recommendations. Has a really fun personality and put smiles on all the faces at my table throughout our dining experience. Was very on top of things whether it was checking in on how the food was tasting, refilling our cups with water, making time to get a new table cloth when it was cake slicing time so that our photos turned out nice, prepared sparklers for the cake, sang happy birthday and spread warm wishes for everyone, and most importantly a great cameraman! As an individual who dines out quite often, Tyson definitely deserves a highlight. Recommend the truffle fries and calamari.

The food was honestly a little piece of heaven—so fresh, full of flavor, perfectly cooked with just the right crunch. It’s hard to put into words… you really have to taste it yourself! 🙌🏼🫶🤤 And the service? Incredible. David took care of us so well—so respectful, thoughtful, and really on top of everything. Loved the whole experience.

I had a fantastic experience at Glowbal for the first time and celebrated my Birthday just Yesterday with my husband, was amazing and excellent service especially to Omar ..The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavourful, and perfectly cooked. I ordered the Salmon,so yummy and tasty . You can really taste the quality and care in their preparation. The service was just as impressive. The staff were friendly, efficient, and made sure everything was just right. It’s rare to find a fast-casual spot that delivers both taste and top-notch service. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re craving something fresh, satisfying, and full of flavour. Will definitely be back!

My goodness, what a wonderful afternoon! This was my first time here at Glowbal, though I've passed by it for years. Krystle was our server, and she was absolutely fantastic. Very careful, considerate, and efficient. Super professional and friendly. Food: we ordered the calamari and brioche for starters. Calamari had a great lemony fragrance, and the jalapeños added a nice kick. The pullapart brioche was buttery and hot and fluffy, and the spreads were quite interesting flavours. For mains, we had the Cajun chicken sandwich and the bolognese. The portions were large and filling. The sandwich was delicious...the chicken had great flavour, and the foccaccia bread went very well with it. The bolognese had lots of meat, the tomato based sauce was not sour at all, and it was nice and hot until the end. Coffee was great, very smooth. They also had a cute little amuse-bouche of corn soup which was really nice. Ambiance was beautiful in the covered patio area, and they had a lot of heaters, so it wasn't cold. It was a bit loud, but we were there right at lunch hour on a weekday, so it was very busy. We will definitely be back because the experience left us with satisfied stomachs and a good feeling all day.

We loved our server Kyle!! He made funny jokes and even more fantastic menu suggestions. Our dining experience here was nothing short of amazing. 10/10 would recommend and we will definitely be coming back. Great food, great service.

We went for a happy hour (quick lunch and drink for my bday). Our server Kristal was extremely nice, very friendly and open. Really enjoyed her service and had nice conversation during our stay. We felt very welcomed. Also big thanks to bartender Pavlo for making our visit very enjoyable. Great drinks and even better attitude. Thanks for great start of the special day with you guys ☺️

Yelp
On our last trip to Vancouver, we were happy hour hopping and noticed this restaurant with a patio really close to our hotel and decided to check it out! We weren't starving since we had already been to a few places, but we stopped in for drinks. The patio we sat in was really cute, and our friends had oysters which they said were fresh. The service was great, and my absolute favorite part was the drink they can print a picture onto!! Not the best tasting drink at all, but having a picture of my dog in the drink was so fun! I would come back to try other happy hour food items. We had a great time.

Yelp
Stopped in the other day for late afternoon lunch . Had to wait for a hostess to show up, then, on a cold day she sat me at a bar seat closest to the door.... Of course I like a bone chilling breeze multiple times during my lunch..... I asked for a seat (at the virtually empty bar), away from the door and was completely ignored. It may have been a language barrier, but no excuse.... The hostess fussed around and brought me cutlery and a glass and a napkin, where the napkin clearly was dirty, previously used and refolded, MY VERY BEST ADVICE TO YOU... DON'T!!! Such a shame that, that wonderful Glowbal restaurant in Yaletown has turned into this monster..

Yelp
The zara of restaurants; you leave paying over $100 for shein quality product. My boyfriend and I came here for Valentine's day this year, mostly because we moved to Vancouver recently so we wanted a cheap but nice place to eat and we did in fact get a cheap but nice place to eat. Ambiance was nice, this is where you go with your girls for a fun night out or a first date. It's vibey, its aesthetic, it plays pop music like chappell roan and the song olivia rodrigo wrote for the hunger games prequel movie. Service was standard, Omar did a great job delivering our food, cleaning up the cutlery and he was in and out. Nothing to complain about, nothing to rave about. Wish I wasn't automatically charged 18% tip but i understand he's hustling on valentine's day. Food was bland. By far the worst beef tartare I've had in my life, not in a disgusting way but, out of all the ones I've had, i can confidently say it sits at the bottom. Bread was soft yet burnt, tartare quite literally tasted like nothing. The Spaghetti was okay, more taste than the tartare but comparable to canned spaghetti and the meatballs reminded me of the ones i used to get as a kid at Pickle Barrel (torontonians, iykyk). I will say there is ~some~ hints of truffle as if the truffle breathed on it but it in no way complimented the dish and i forgot about it by the time i finished the dish. My partner and I give this a 5/10, kinda wish I went to Halal guys tonight.

Yelp
I went here tonight for a team dinner. This is definitely upscale prices so plan ahead, but tonight they were offering a 3-cource meal starting at $49 that came with an appetizer, entree, and dessert. I thought this was a fantastic buy so this is what I chose over the $230 tomahawk lol. For my appetizer I started with the Burrata Salad. It came with a whipped ricotta on the bottom dotted with orange segments and roasted beets topped with a half a burrata, endive, puffed rice and pistachios. This was very tasty and well-balanced. I haven't had beets in years as I'm not a fan, and these were good. The burrata added great creaminess and the puffed rice added great texture. For my entree I ordered the strip loin steak medium with roasted brussel sprouts, a pomme puree, topped with a black pepper gravy. This was very tasty and my steak was well seared and tender. I loved the brussel sprouts and the black pepper gravy tied the whole dish together. For dessert I chose the creme brulee cheesecake and it was beautiful. It had wonderful fresh elements with fresh fruit yet the cheesecake was so creamy and not overly sweet. When you combined everything together with the blueberry compote it was delicious. This restaurant is perfectly located in the middle of the city and is beautifully decorated. Our waiter was fantastic and did a great job explaining the menu, and everyone got what they wanted. It would have been nice to have an additional waiter for our party of 16 to attend to everyone's drinks as some were empty, but other than that, we had a great night. A wonderful ending to a great trip.

Yelp
Very disappointing for a $600CAD meal for 3 people (with tip). The caviar is served with salty potato chips. The half-lobster in the pasta is the size of a prawn. Not worth the price or the time.

Yelp
This restaurant has an amazing atmosphere with a beautiful decoration. Their menu has great options and my favourite it was their Tuna Takaki and their passion fruit cheesecake was divine. The service is great and the waitress super friendly. Great to place to visit. Don't forget to make your reservation.

Yelp
I came here with a friend for brunch -- in particular, to try the $12 egg benny. We shared the rib and mushroom benny as well as a truffle mac and cheese (+$5). The service was lovely and the waiter brought us the complimentary smoothie shots and mini donuts to start us off. I'd definitely recommend the benny as the meat was juicy and tender (didn't notice much mushroom). The drinks were also delicious -- I tried the cranberry mimosa, a solid brunch pick! I dropped a star merely because unfortunately the mac and cheese was quite disappointing, it was a bit watery and didn't have much of a truffle taste at all. It tasted more like a macaroni salad almost. Overall, I'm glad to have finally visited Glowbal and tried their brunch Would come back for the bennies + mimosas.

Yelp
I have to update my review. I usually have a great experience here but I went in last week after work to have supper with a friend. There were plenty of tables but the lady standing in front, I'm not sure if she's the hostess...insisted on sitting me at the bar. The front was konda chaotic and I couldn't tell who was the hotess since I wasn't greeted by anyone when i walked in. My friend came in and wanted a table so she asked one of the guys at the front who and he gave us a table but the older lady insisted that there's no tables available for us. I haven't seen my friend in awhile and we planned on having drinks and a full meal so she wanted to be comfortable. We ended up leaving and took our business to another Glowbal group restaurant, Riley, by the waterfront. Too bad for Glowbal management because the two of us spent well over $300 that night. All the other staff members at Glowbal was good as usual, except for the older lady standing at the front. She looked miserable and unwelcoming. It's really too bad because I felt embarrassed recommending to my friend we meet there for supper. I'll definitely not make that mistake again!

Yelp
I came here for dinner tonight and unfortunately, this place was not up to my expectations. The food doesn't taste good. The oysters were sub-par. I had a couple that were definitely not fresh. They tasted very funky. The server was kind enough to replace it for me, but it still didn't taste good. My family members had the chicken and the beef tenderloin. They both said it was just alright. Pros: nice ambience, good brussels sprouts Cons: expensive for poor quality food, service was slow and non-attentive Once again, DO NOT trust Google reviews. At the most, I will give this restaurant a 3.5 not 4.5. I hope the Glowbal Group does something about this place because with the plethora of good restaurants in the city, I will not be patronizing them anymore.

Yelp
Came to this place for business and was pleasantly surprised with the service, food, and the inside! It was clean, beautiful, and the architecture was very modern. You could tell the building was crafted with care and precision. Got the 3 items: Pumpkin and Yam Soup - Extremely creamy, flavorful, and mildly sweet! Short Braised Ribs - Savory, well cooked, and fell apart easily. Desert was delicious (didn't catch the name, but I put a photo of it before it got devoured). While the reviews are questionable, my experience was great to say the least and I would return when I get back to Vancouver!

Yelp
Our first time at Glowbal was several years ago for a Holiday season buffet. This was our second time at Glowbal and once again, it was for a buffet. This time it was a Father's Day buffet. There were a ton of options both hot and cold. I loved the made to order omelette station! I'm not a huge fan of raw oysters myself but others at my table piled up on the oysters and said that they were really good! The temaki sushi station was something I hadn't seen at a buffet before and I quite enjoyed it. Crab legs were the one disappointment as the shell was extremely tough to crack, which made it super hard to get any meat out of the legs. I gave up eventually and left the leg on my plate. Glad I only took one to try. My personal favorites from the desserts were the Passionfruit macarons and the fruit tarts! Hope that I can make it out here to try their regular menu sometime!

Yelp
Glowbal is one of my favourite restaurants in the area. I love coming here for special occasions or a nice dinner. They have a beautiful patio space decked out in flowers year-round which delightfully elevates the ambiance. Tonight we came in for dinner and ordered: - crispy humbolt calamari - wagyu steak tartare - lobster - the illusionist cocktail This was enough to feed 2 with some left over. The calamari was crisp and light. The sauce served on the side pairs beautifully with the calamari. Definitely on of my favourite calamari dishes. The wagyu tartare was AMAZING we ate it all up and fought for the crumbs. A must try. Glowbal offers the lobser in a half and a whole portion. The whole is meant for sharing while the half is meant as a single entree. The lobster was delicious and the pasta that came with the lobster was divine. The illusionist cocktail was really delicious, although it comes in a glass of champagne with a large ice ball of all the flavours in the ice so to truly get the full enjoyment out of the cocktail you would have to wait for the ice to melt. I've been here for brunch a few times and the quality for price is great! Will keep coming back

Yelp
top tier casual/finer dining with exceptional service my wife surprised me with an package steak and seafood dining experience for a special occasion. We found the med rare steak cut rather tough and did not eat it. We did not complain nor commented on it but staff noticed it went untouched when they cleared the plates and offered to redo it for us Manager came over to make things right which we found very attentive. Having been to all the various Glowbal restaurants, we have always found the food to be great but their service sets them apart from others in this competitive dining space. Emad knows how to take care of his dining customer and it resonates through the organization We have been fans since it opened as Glowbal are part of our go to list of frequented quality restaurants with high quality ingredients and in house pastry chefs for desserts!

Yelp
Went for a date night and made it just in time for happy hour. We started with sangria, East Coast oysters, beef tartar crostini, and salmon poke. The oysters, though small, were flavorful with a perfect balance of salty brine. However, the portion sizes for the crostini and poke were underwhelming. The 32oz short rib steak, cooked for 28 hours, was incredibly tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Paired with a refreshing pear and scallion salad and potato mash, it was a highlight of the meal. However, we wished for more mash and salad, given it was a shared plate. Dinner ended on a sweet note with a decadent cheesecake, balanced by a refreshing lemon sorbet and yuzu curd. While the happy hour menu was tasty, it felt overpriced for the portion sizes so we wouldn't intentionally return for this. The box has been checked for tried it, may or may not return.

Yelp
We used Glowbal's Buy Up for our wedding anniversary this year! It was an extensive menu valued at $230 for only $130. Though, we did add on a few extras since it was a special occasion. Buy Up Menu: ° Prosecco & Bites: Loving the scallion aioli ° Albacore Tuna Crudo: I looooove crudo! It is such a refreshing dish ° Burrata & Proscuitto Panzanella: I can't resist ordering burrata if I see it ° Steak, Lobster, & Jumbo Prawns: It was a looot of food ° Cheesecake: Such a cute touch with the sparkler We opt to have the prosecco at the end with our dessert course. Such a nice way to end a wonderful celebration! I have heard good things about Big Cut Thursdays so looking to try that next!

Yelp
Glowbal is always the best bet as their brunch is one of the best in the city and they had a promotion running all of October and the lines were out the door but the eggs Benedict is so worth it! The service is always good and the vibes are amazing as they have heated patios.

Yelp
I visited Glowbal last night with my husband and toddler. It was a spontaneous decision after shopping, and we were fortunate to snag a table. Due to a private event, we were seated indoors, but the cozy and warm ambiance, paired with festive Christmas music in the background, made it feel magical and inviting. We ordered drinks--mulled wine and a "Pick Me Up"--and shared the winter squash risotto and burrata cheese from the small plates menu. For my toddler, we got a creamy white pasta. The drinks were absolutely fantastic, especially the mulled wine, which was perfect for the chilly weather; the spices and temperature were spot on. Both the risotto and burrata were incredibly fresh, and as a vegetarian, I appreciated having several options to choose from. The staff was friendly and accommodating, especially as we had a stroller with us, which they helped us park comfortably in a corner. The restaurant's spacing worked well for families. While the prices are on the higher end, the quality of the food, drinks, and overall experience made it worth it. I'm looking forward to returning to try more of their amazing cocktails and checking out their brunch menu next time!

Yelp
Every time I come here it's just a delight and feels like an experience like no other. The enclosed patio is absolutely gorgeous. We tried the $10 benny promotion and shared the salmon and shortribs benny! Both were delish! I like how they started the meal with complimentary sugar donuts and smoothie shots!! We tried the coffee dalgona with almond milk. It wasn't very strong coffee flavor so I would not recommend this. I enjoyed the service but the seating we had wasn't ideal because we were in the middle of where servers and the drink cart was pushed which bumped into my chair. I hope to be back for brunch again soon!

Yelp
we celebrated our anniversary at glowbal with their buy-up dinner, $130 for two, valued at $230. we started the evening with a few happy hour drinks and calamari, which was tender and lightly battered. the buy up dinner included the following: prosecco, mac & cheese balls and togarashi prawn chips with scallion aioli. the appetizers were just as impressive: albacore tuna crudo with honey tamari and edamame hummus, followed by a burrata and prosciutto panzanella that stole the show. the burrata was perfectly creamy, pairing beautifully with heirloom tomatoes, honey mustard focaccia, and aged balsamic. we couldn't finish and had the rest packed to take home. then came the main event: a canadian prime new york steak, served medium tare, alongside butter-poached (spiny) lobster (no large claw) and jumbo prawns. the sides were standouts, especially the black truffle pomme purée, grilled broccolini, roast corn, in a rich beurre blanc sauce, every bite was indulgent. the glowbal cheesecake for dessert was a little underwhelming, with brûlée topping, blueberry compote, and fresh berries. now, I'll be honest: this was our second time at glowbal. the first buy up experience fell flat, but this time? they nailed it. shoutout to crystal, john, ainsley, steeven, and the rest of the glowbal crew, the service was flawless both times and made the night extra special.

Yelp
We had a fantastic night out recently at Glowbal. The BF remembered me offhandedly saying "oh that looks so pretty but I've never eaten there" about Glowbal a couple months back and filed it away for a birthday dinner! Reservations were made and fulfilled by the restaurant. They really took care of us with coat check, multiple levels of service (amuse buche para gratis, yaaas!), waitstaff check ins and the long-awaited return of the maître d check in. I feel like the role and presence of the maître d has been forgotten and now that it's making a return, this is a excellent way of interacting with guests, soliciting and validating feedback, and improving the customer experience. Thank you! We enjoyed a Canadian prime striploin and sablefish entree, along with a side of assorted mushrooms, along with a large glass of wine each. We also ordered the lava cake that was perfectly deep and gooey, paired and plated beautifully with a delicate raspberry semi freddo and blackberry gelato. I really enjoyed my private birthday celebration at the Glowbal. I look forward to my next visit, please save a smoked old fashioned for me!

Yelp
I went to this restaurant for the first time this weekend for a friend's birthday. The restaurant is very gorgeous... beautifully laid out and decorated. Even though it was high end, it didn't feel cramped in any sort of way. They do have quite a decent menu to choose from (desserts to main menu to drinks) which is wonderful. Various things for people to eat which is great! Service was wonderful - it was very personable which I was very surprised about. As a foodie who visits alot of restaurants, I hardly see this type of personable service so this is a great thing to look for in a restaurant. They had a coat check area in the front for anyone who wanted to not worry about their jackets at their table: not something you see very often at restaurants. So despite many positives, just some feedback I personally felt: like many other restaurants do, unfortunately their menu doesn't really tell you whether something is gluten free, vegan, dairy free or vegetarian (for example) unless you ask the server... we kinda played a guessing game until we asked our server and he was great in letting us know so I'm thankful for that. I kinda wish the menu did tell us that. As someone with a dietary restriction/allergy, it ends up being difficult that to find something to eat if it's not mentioned in the menu unless we ask the restaurant staff. Additionally, It is quite a pricy restaurant so just keep that in mind going in to it. Overall, we had a great experience here. We loved everything and it's a restaurant I'd love to come back to.

Yelp
Pretty good happy hour. We were seated on the patio and service was nice and attentive. Sangria was tasty and fruity. Shared some snacks - I recommend the brussel sprouts. The salmon poke was tasty but fishy. Oysters were good - $2 for the west coast. We also ordered the fries and they came out nice and hot.

Yelp
exceptional experienc Came by to try out their $10 Benny deal with my sister for her belated bday today and almost didn't get in. The brunch is supposed to run from 10:30-2:30 but they cut off the line at 1:00 causing some people to leave. I understand that it is busy and maybe they wouldn't have a chance to get in by 2:30 but 1.5 hours early seems excrssive?!? (More on this later) We arrived around 11:30 and had to wait close to 1.5 hours in line so by the time it was our turn to be seated, we had high hopes. Once seated we made our order within the first 10 mins and then were offer the smoothie shots and mini donuts maybe 10 mins after that. So up until now the service was quick. However after this, the general treatment towards us lacked to the point where it was blatantly obvious we were treated differently than other guests which made the whole experience turn bad quickly. After about 20 mins we received our orders. During this visit a server held the drink menu looked at us and then the other guests sitting next to us and offered them the menu but not us. Nor was there an attempt to get us another one. By then we were already eating and figured a server would come check in on us and we would ask them then. Unfortunately by the time we were done our meal this didn't happen for us. EVEN THOUGH we notice that the servers were constantly checking in on tables asking them how first bites were, if they needed anything else, or another drink. They checked on the table next to us 3x but from the start to the end of our meal, we didn't have a single server come to check in on us until it was time to pay. I want to say that maybe they were busy so they couldn't check in on us but clearly we were purposely not checked in on if it was happening to other tables. I have thoughts about why this may be but I will stick to the facts and not speculate here. On our way out it was 2pm and the line was done. Brunch wasnt over yet but more people def could have gone in. On our way out the manager(?) offered someone who came in a reso for next week even though when we asked earlier we were told all resos were full. I don't think that the people who had to leave the line due to the cut off time was offered either. Was really looking forward to possibly booking this spot for an event because of the amazing looking floral patio and even trying their happy hour menu but I won't be back for either.

Yelp
Great place for brunch, lunch, happy hour or dinner! Their drinks are also pretty cool. The only time we did not have a good dinner here was on my sons and my bday when we ordered the tomahawk steak and waited an hour! I submitted feedback after the fact and they did apologize. I think they had to run to black and blue and thaw the tomahawk first lol. I would be back again eventually just for the ambience. The outdoor patio garden is cool. It's also nice and close to queen ellizabeth theatre & downtown activities.

Yelp
Love the fun drinks and beautiful decor. I had the steak tartare and love it. One of the best in the city! Glowbal gets a bad rep sometimes and i don't get it. I've only ever had good experiences (and i've gone at least 8 times). Their brunch is also a great value and super delish. Our server was amazing!!! It was her last day working there and they should be sad to see her go. She was so fun, professional and provided excellent suggestions and really tended to our needs.

Yelp
I went for the Time's Up set dinner. Service was good. They were attentive to the table needs although there were multiple servers refiling water, serving food, cleaning the table, etc. The ambiance was a bit jarring with all these different people moving around but I understand how busy this promotion has been. The food was quite good and portioned well. For $130 for 2, it was a lot of food. Would recommend coming back.

Yelp
Came here for a sneaky happy hour session and was quite pleased. It was my first visit to Glowbal, and service was a standout, very friendly and quick turnaround for check-ins and food beverage timing. We ordered a Winter Egg Nog, The Roof, Calamari, Yorkie, Brussel Sprouts. For me, the standout was the Brussel Sprouts, these I could write home about how creamy and toasted these were. I also loved the dipping sauce for the Calamari. The Roof cocktail reminded me of a Paloma, it was citrusy with tequila and checked my boxes. Glowbal feels very boujee glam. A place where you can dress up a notch or celebrate a life win. We initially came for happy hour but ended up spending more than I had anticipated. While my stomach and eyes were delighted, my credit card was less than pleased.

Yelp
This was a date night that I planned a month ago when booking and I understand delays and issues can happen but I think how the server addressed them could have been handled better. He mentioned our entree would take a little longer than normal but after knowing we have been waiting for an hour, he could've kept us in the loop but instead he would purposely avoid us until we had to bring it up with the hostess. I do appreciate the manager or supervisor coming to apologize and then providing us complimentary drinks and dessert but to me, it was a very reactive rather than proactive approach. By this time, we already had a bad experience but tried to make the best of it. I think what really made me want to write this feedback is when we asked to pack up the remaining food, as a server, you would usually ask if we want to keep the items on the plate or maybe ask if we would like more sauce for the steak. You could clearly see that our t bone had tons of meat left but instead he returned with just the sides. I then asked for the t bone and some sauce in which he returned wrapping the bone in tin foil and no sauce. To add insult to injury, when I was paying, my partner could clearly see him hovering over me checking on how much tip I would give him. I'm honestly flabbergasted at our experience as I usually have really good ones dining at this chain. Truly disappointing and debating if I want to come back again. If it wasn't for the food, I would've given this a lower rating.

Yelp
Came here for brunch on my friend's bday - she made the reservation and upon arrival we were asked if we were celebrating anything special - we confirmed and the hostess made a note and then we were seated. The decor of the patio seating of the restaurant is lovely, it's green with plants and flowers and has purple and lavender accents. There is cabana-style booth seating and also tables - we were seated in a cabana-style booth. Shortly after being seated we ordered our drinks, apps and entrees. I ordered brussel sprouts, Risotto w/ salmon and peas and my drink was Lillet Rose. My friend ordered oysters for her app, I can't recall her entree, and she had the Empress Martini. We both ate most of our food. Overall, the service was good, the wait staff were professional and the restaurant was as clean. My fave part of the restaurant however was the ambiance. If ever in Vancouver again I'm not sure if I'd return but I do recommend that others try.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant! Food was so so good, and they even had a shot bar menu come around and made some fun shots. We didn't get any pictures of our food (sadly) because we ate our entrees so fast. Our server, Adam, provided 10/10 service and we would so come back if we lived here. Highly recommend for a special night out! We went for part of my cousins bachelorette party and they gave her some Prosecco!

Yelp
I bought a buy up for 2. Plenty of foods to eat. I enjoyed and loved the most was the whole fresh lobster . The texture was fresh and super delicious to taste. I definitely will recommend and buy more if the promotions are still going on!

Yelp
The ambiance and decor was beautiful. Nice outside patio. Service was great. I enjoyed my avocado toast, very flavorful. The white sangria was ok , too sweet for my liking. Complimentary smoothie shot and mini donuts.

Yelp
Loved the ambience and overall feel of the restaurant. Our server was lovely, very attentive and kept checking on our table every so often which was really great! I ordered the dry aged duck breast, which was quite dry, a little hard to eat. The portion size of all meals were fairly small compared to the price.

Yelp
New awesome place to check out in YVR! This place is pretty sick. It's very trendy and well laid out, decor is amazing and it is huuuuge. Full outside patio, and 2 floors inside. We went for happy hour and were not disappointed. The HH menu (2:30-5:30) is loaded with lots of food and drink options...the food is mostly small plate but the portions are nice so a few should tide you over to supper if need be. Beer, wine, hi balls, martini's, sangria, other cocktails on for good prices, it's pretty extensive compared to a lot of places downtown. We started with the Humboldt calamari, meatballs, and crispy brussel sprouts. The squid was next level, came with this black pepper jam sauce that was unreal. Kinda Asian inspired kinda salty it was magnificent. Crispy brussel sprouts in tahini with charred lemon and grana padano cheese..absolutely delightful. Super rich tho and you get a whole lot of em, at the end of the day it was too rich to finish but super tasty. The Meatballs were regrettably kinda cold and didn't taste like much but alright I suppose. Moved on the Korean Fried chicken and a dozen oysters which were both pretty darn good. The chicken was crispy and moist. Could had a little more kick for me but the wife loved it. The oysters were pretty run of the mill but we loved them just the same The service was awesome, our guy was very friendly and chatty asking us about our trip and our fav places around town...really really well done. Great job All in all I would go back to this place in a heartbeat and plan to next time I'm in town, maybe for a full on supper next time cause the dinner menu looks amazing. Trendy, cool, awesome thanks for a great happy hour! Cheers Andy

Yelp
We got a private room for a friends birthday so we were seated upstairs. The room was great and allowed us to just have a great judgment free time. Multiple appetizers came out and they were all great. Both the salmon and steak could have been seasoned better, they were a bit bland. The gnocchi was great though!

Yelp
Went for an anniversary dinner - booked last minute and they had lots of seating. Service is 5/5 - they were attentive and kind. We ordered the sourdough with burrata. The portion was a bit disappointing as most places I've been to that charge almost $30 for a burrata gives an entire ball of it, however I think they gave around 1/3 to 1/2 of a burrata ball. Regardless, the flavours and ingredients worked well together - sweet from the pear, savoury and crunchy from the prosciutto and sourdough, and creamy with the cheese. For my main, I got the lobster tagliatelle. The pasta was flavourful and al dente. It had shrimp inside the pasta which was yummy. I think the lobster could have been more fresh and seasoned. Since it was our anniversary, they gave us complimentary Prosecco which was very nice of them! Overall, a good place to grab dinner with a nicer ambience

Yelp
Love the architecture, the design, and the decorations at this restaurant. It felt almost magical walking in for the first time, as it is located in Telus Gardens. Food was pretty amazing. I got the salmon, which came with Yukon gold mashed potatoes, and that made a difference. It was tasted delicious with the vinaigrette, and salmon was perfectly done. I also recommend getting the wagyu steak tartare as an appetizer. Flavours were like a party in my mouth. Currently, they have seasonal Christmas drinks on their menu. I had to try one. I got the egg nog havana '07 which comes with a gingerbread cookie. Unfortunately, not my type of drink and cookie was mediocre.

Yelp
Overall, not a place I'd recommend, but also not entirely terrible. We just decided to come here cause a friend is still more comfortable with heated patio dining (Covid) and it's close to her place. To start the experience off, my friend's cloth napkin had a very visible stain even before we sat down. Not something you'd expect at a restaurant like Glowbal. She was too shy to ask for it to be changed so I did so for her, but could you imagine if I didn't notice it, she would have just endured it. After sitting down, I asked the server if our party of 3 could sit in one of the many bird cages. She said unfortunately they were all booked up and only parties of 5+ are permitted to sit in those cages. Lies. There were a couple of tables that were empty the entire time we were there. And I saw a party of 4 in one of said bird cages. I'm so curious what their actual rules for the bird cages are. They gave us a free corn soup sampler. It was not bad. In terms of food, their specials are actually pretty good in terms of "value". I asked to change my fries to truffle fries. The server said there'd be a surcharge of $3 and I said that's fine, but when the bill came, it was $5. Not enough truffle flavour. My friends also ordered a truffle fries to share, but it did not arrive until they were almost done with their rigatoni bolognese (so-so). Thankfully the server took it off their bill. Only thing I really enjoyed was their black + blue cocktail. It was nice and strong, just the way I liked it. Didn't order any of their executive cocktails because of the other reviews on Yelp :) Would I come again of my own volition, no. Would I come again if a friend suggested we just come for drinks, maybe. But honestly, Vancouver has so many other places to choose from. Overall, a so-so restaurant, with so-so food and so-so service. Ambiance was nice though and good for photos.

Yelp
This place's ambiance was amazing. Their outdoor seating is what really caught my interest. The food was amazing, and the service was extremely good. We got our food pretty quickly, and it was warm and full of flavor. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area.

Yelp
The risotto looked and tasted like kraft dinner. We had to send our steak back three times. It was terrible. Watched food orders go to all the wrong tables. It was so mismanaged in there. Nobody knew what they were doing. Even to get a table the girl took 10 minutes in the place was half empty. It was ridiculous. Our waiter was also the bartender Hence we had to wait forever to get our food because he was busy making cocktails instead of serving tables. Too many other great restaurants in the city to waste your time there.

Yelp
Glowbal Restaurant is located in Vancouver's TELUS Garden. They serve a variety of North American cuisine and pride themselves in their fresh ingredients collected from across the continent Here's what we ordered: * Creamy Corn Soup * House Baked Brioche Bread (9) * Radiotore Carbonara (28) * Truffled Spaghetti + Signature Meatballs (29) * Canadian Angus Beef Bolognese (16) To start, we ordered the Brioche Bread which came with a whipped brown butter and sweet tarragon emulsion. Both sauces were delicious but my favourite was the sweet and tangy tarragon! Our server also brought us some samples of Creamy Corn Soup which was so rich and smooth For our entrees, we ordered 3 pastas. The Radiotore Carbonara featured salt spring island mussels & clams, three cheese, guanciale, and egg yolk emulsion. The seafood was fresh and the arugula helped to cut some of the heaviness from this carbonara Next, the Beef Bolognese had a lovely sweet and flavourful sauce that coated each bite of rigatoni perfectly Finally, we tried their famous Truffled Spaghetti. The mild spice in the meatballs with the tomato sauce paired perfectly with the rich truffle cream! Definitely loved this dish the most and highly recommend it!

Yelp
Overall I think the food was just okay but a bit over priced. Came here as a group for lunch and there was a small menu. The restaurant is really aesthetic, especially with the bird cafe seating area. We got the empress gin martini, melon ball cocktail and they were really beautiful. It was a nice experience with lighting the balloon for the empress gin martini. I got the melon ball cocktail and it was sweet, I preferred eating the cotton candy alone rather than mixing it. The bread was just okay in my opinion, my coworkers really enjoyed it with the sauce and got extras. As for the truffle spaghetti and meatballs, I was too full at this point to finish everything. I had to get a takeout box. The meatball is thick and wasn't really anything special. As for the truffle spaghetti, I can barely taste the truffle. Around 6 of us got this dish so understandably we wouldn't have too much. Overall, our total was approximately $50+ per person. This is a nice place to come as a group and enjoy as a first experience. Not sure if I would come here again however.

Yelp
A good location close to shops, theatre and the sports arena with parking nearby or on the streets depending when you are dining. It is a great restaurant for ambiance and the patio is very inviting and nicely decorated on nice summer afternoon or evening. The menu is smaller than I recall but the happy hour menu is great and prices are excellent value. Calamari, Brussels sprouts, truffle fries and the meatballs are great. I had the duck confit and it was good but just a bit rich! I didn't have the desserts but my guests did and they looked amazing they all said they were excellent. Pavlova and the Panna Cotta look spectacular. Also for the non alcoholic diners the passion fruit ice tea and mock tails are delicious.

Yelp
I hadn't been to a buffet since pre-covid so for mothers day this year, we got a table for 5 at Glowbal and enjoyed the ambiance, prompt service and variety of foods. Often for buffets, expectations in terms of food quality should be lowered but even being a buffet, there are many things that glowbal executed very well. For one, the eggs benedict had perfectly poached eggs, the oysters were plump, prawns and albacore tuna were fresh, striploin was medium rare and tender but what stood out for me were the desserts. Tiramisu, eclairs, strawberry shortcake and mini tarts were all not overly dense or sweet. The tiramisu was my favourite as the little cup had a light mascarpone creme and a coffee soaked sponge. The eclair was also a surprising hit in our family and the strawberry shortcake was as expected. There was also huge platters of watermelon, cantaloupe and pineapple that were refilled recently and my brother loved the pesto cream gnocchi! The more disappointing dishes were the waffle (a bit dry), brunch potatoes (potatoes themselves were a bit floury and it was really hard to get the meat out of the crab legs. The macarons were a tad too sweet but the flavour were as advertised. As for the ambiance and service, we were seated in the covered outdoor area which was adorned with some floral accents. Being a gorgeous day, this was the ideal spot and our server was very friendly, cleaned our plates often and refilled out tea pots promptly. Overall, we really enjoyed our special brunch here!

Yelp
This is a great place downtown to stop in for lunch on a work day. The service is great and you can be in & out relatively quickly for a sit down meal. I'm a big fan of their salads and love their menu selection. #contestentry

Yelp
We stopped here while visiting Vancouver per a friend's recommendation. The place is gorgeous! From the marbling to the birdcage booths to the decorated mirror, the restaurant's aesthetic did not disappoint. Then the food. We were told to try the the truffled spaghetti and meatballs; we chose the Brussel sprouts to pair. After ordering, the waiter brought complimentary mini donuts and blueberry yogurt drinks. The food definitely lived up to the high expectations! The truffle was pretty forward, and the creamy combination with the red sauce was great. The brussel sprouts were nice and crispy on the outside, and paired beautifully with the mildly spicy aioli sauce. The only possibly disappointing thing was that the meatball was nothing to write home about. The service was impressive too. At one point my partner left his napkin on the chair while he went to the washroom. The waiter immediately came by, folded the napkin, and placed it back on the table. A must visit!!

Yelp
It was our first time at Glowbal and even though it was just for drinks and a small plate of food, the ambiance and service were outstanding. We were helped by Adam in the bar area and he couldn't be more accomdating, friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back to Glowbal for dinner and sit in one of their fancy outdoor tables.
