My experience at Gnocchi Bella was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The food quality is truly top-tier, with every dish tasting rich, fresh, and perfectly prepared. The atmosphere is beautifully done — cozy, stylish, and so comfortable. The service stood out the most: the staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and made the whole experience feel special. The guy at the front even threw in a free dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch. I loved everything about this restaurant and will definitely be returning!

I recently visited Gnocchi Bella in Forest Hills, and wow, what an amazing experience! We ordered the Pesto Alfredo Gnocchi and the Creamy Senza Vodka Gnocchi, and both were absolutely delicious. My favorite was the Pesto Alfredo. It had the perfect balance of ingredients, and the chicken was crispy and perfectly cooked. The toppings, especially the little peppers and chili oil, added such a unique kick. Every bite felt like an explosion of flavors! The restaurant itself is cute and comfortable, and the service was exceptional. The cashier was so kind, and Jonathan went above and beyond by offering us a complimentary tiramisu, which was amazing! The customer service was truly top-tier. The food is extraordinary, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the people are wonderful. I’ll definitely be going back, and I highly recommend everyone give this spot a try!

Google
Such amazing food I can’t believe there’s no line up outside! Customizable Italian food in a very well decorated interior, unfortunately not a lot of seating but there are a couple of chairs to sit if it’s empty. Both the vodka and pesto Alfredo are excellent. Great halal option in NYC!!

Google
Super cute restaurant in Forest Hills! I got the pesto Alfredo and it was delicious- super flavorful! The portion sizes are pretty big but it’s on the expensive size- 20$ for a bowl of gnocchi. I wish they had a vegetarian/ vegan protein option. The seating is super small, only fits 6 people in tables of 2. Highly recommend this place if you’re in queens!

Google
Food good. tasty. filling. the portion might not seem like a lot but since its gnocchi it fills you up pretty well. place is tiny but cozy. one thing they can improve is the size or portion of chicken cutlet. My italian wife approves.

Google
Love the aesthetics of this place so much! Got the pesto gnocchi with chicken cutlet and it was 10/10. portion sizes are very generous as well. Also the tiramisu was perfect - will be back often for that alone!

Google
Gnocchi Bella is just what Forest Hills needs on Austin Street. Homemade gnocchi with your choice of sauce and toppings and great tiramisu. I loved the spinach ricotta gnocchi and the vegan cauliflower gnocchi tastes like authentic gnocchi. Adorable, petite bistro tables to eat in and eco friendly dishes. Love Gnocchi Bella!!

Google
Delicious gnocchi. Small restaurant so I had the pesto gnocchi with buratta and chicken cutlet to go. Would recommend. Wish they had a few more salad options.

Yelp
Gnocchi Bella Forest Hills is a gnocchi lover's dream come true. This cozy spot on Austin St specializes in customizable, handmade gnocchi bowls that are as delicious as they are Instagrammable. Jonathan is an absolute sweetheart who made us feel at home! My friend got the spinach gnocchi with mushroom cream sauce and truffle oil. She said it was one of the best things she's ever eaten. The sauce was decadent without being too heavy, and the truffle oil added an earthy depth of flavor. We also shared an order of garlic bread which was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside - perfect for mopping up any leftover sauce. The atmosphere at Gnocchi Bella is warm and inviting with tennis-themed decor paying homage to nearby Forest Hills Stadium. Service is friendly and attentive without being overbearing. One thing to note: this place can get busy during peak hours so be prepared to wait for a table or order takeout instead. Overall I highly recommend Gnocchi Bella Forest Hills if you're looking for authentic Italian comfort food in Queens. It's worth every penny for quality ingredients made fresh daily by passionate chefs who clearly love what they do.

Yelp
Wanted to like this place but unfortunately did not meet expectations. Tried the zucca special. Everything was too salty. I added chicken because it was recommended and it made it saltier, and tasted like I had fried chicken nuggets on my gnocchi. I also ordered the salad and it was quite disappointing ... comes with dressing that tastes like it came straight from the bottle at a grocery store. You have to assemble the salad yourself which is ok if it's to go but to dine in, kinda sad. I felt like I ordered a salad from a McDonalds. The counter person asked me "to stay or to go" after the fact that the food was already packaged ... so I said "to stay" and he brought everything stacked on top on my table and I was quite surprised. And then I realized they don't use real plates, they will serve you hot food in the same plastic to go containers even if you dine in - not only is it wasteful, but brings down the quality of the experience. I don't understand the tennis decor either, the concept is lost on me.

Yelp
Upon entering, we were greeted by the cashier and the place functions like a takeout place . You go and order first and get your food . You could either dine in or take out . Just FYI , they have limited seats so if its busy you might have to wait . The place is new so it was very neat and clean . We ordered gnocchi pomodoro and basil pesto . The tomato sauce was perfect . I loved it . I had it topped with cheese and red pepper which made it even more tastier . The other dish we ordered was basil pesto we topped it with only cheese and it was equally delicious not too heavy not too light pesto . It was just perfect . The portion and price was also good and worth it. For the drink , we got tiramisu latte . It was very creamy , rich and delicious. Make sure to swirl it before you take a sip. Have half of the cream with the ladyfinger and mix the remaining cream with the coffee so that its not too sweet . Really loved this place , will be visiting soon again.

Yelp
I had to do a double take when I saw this place open up, thought I was misreading! These quick, to-go gnocchi spots are typically in Manhattan, so it was such a nice and unexpected surprise to see one pop up right here in Forest Hills. I went today (Friday) around 6pm and ordered right away and had our food in like 10 minutes max. I got the potato gnocchi with crushed red pepper, fresh basil, and added chicken cutlet. My goodness... one of the best gnocchis I've ever had. And I'm not even a gnocchi girl like that! Chicken cutlet was perfect and crispy too. The pesto was super flavorful, slightly saltier than I usually go for but still really, really good. My fiancé got the potato gnocchi with tomato sauce and chicken meatballs, plus breadcrumbs on top, alsoo delish. I LOVE that you can customize with toppings. Burrata is 100% happening next time. Overall, the vibe is cute, staff is friendly, and the food is so solid, and it's just refreshing to see something like this open in Forest Hills. Hope they get all the love because they deserve it!

Yelp
Went to try the gnocchi. I ordered a potato gnocchi with pomodoro sauce, fresh basil and Parmesan plus a chicken cutlet. My friend ordered hers with shrimp. The gnocchi was denser than I hoped. The chicken cutlet was super thin so it was dry. Could've had more basil for flavor. I was full after eating half my order. I was wondering if the spinach and ricotta gnocchi would be lighter. Our server didn't know but the lady seated next us said - Yes it is. She had tried her daughter's potato gnocchi so she could tell the difference. Next time I'll give that a try. The server was friendly with taking our orders and brought us cups of ice water while we waited for our food. When we were done, she asked if we wanted individual bags or just one. Since our bowls were takeout cardboard with plastic lids, she knew when we were done. There are three small bistro tables to eat in. The little lamp on the table added some ambience. LOL I'll give them another try.

Yelp
Cuisine: 7 Service: 10 Decor: 7 Value: 6 Overall: 7 This new tiny specialty shop on Austin Street is only offering gnocchi, so come if you love that denser texture for your pasta with a good chew. I liked that the menu is small and simple. Pick from their three premium predetermined combinations, or build your own gnocchi dish. A few protein add-ons, salad, and dessert options. We had a group of four people, hence we tried nearly everything. Let's first talk about the star of the show, the pasta. I felt that the gnocchi was good, not great. If I were to choose, I think the ricotta spinach gnocchi was lighter and fluffier than the potato gnocchi, hence my preference. We didn't bother trying the gluten-free. We did two build your own pastas. I think the better sauce was the pesto, which had a good flavor, though I would definitely add the grated Parmigiano Reggiano for a zing. On the other hand, the pomodoro sauce was lacking in that robust taste we were looking for. We also ordered the Porcini Truffle Cream Gnocchi, which was my second favorite out of the three. As for proteins to add onto the pastas, the shrimps (5) were poached perfectly. The chicken & beef meatballs were pretty good too. The most popular chicken cutlet was actually over fried, but the flavor was quite decent. This review would not be complete without mentioning our wonderful server Marcella, who worked the cash register and three tables by herself with a smile. She was extremely friendly and helpful. I almost left the restaurant without our Tiramisu that was sitting in the fridge. Marcella was alert enough to immediately reminded me as we walked out of the restaurant and even added a free cannoli. If the owner of Gnocchi Bella is reading this, she is your biggest asset besides quality food. For the price, I don't see myself going back regularly. However, I may go back for their premium Pesto Alfredo because I think the creaminess of the cheese might work really well with the pesto. Good luck to this establishment on finding success.

Yelp
Just tried this place for the first time for lunch. Got the potato gnocchi with pomodoro sauce, basil, and shredded Parmigiano-Reggiano. Added a chicken cutlet to the top. Taste wise it was fresh, gnocci was cooked well, not too dense, and the chicken cutlet was delicious, cooked exactly how I asked, well done. It was crispy and perfectly breaded. Staff was very friendly as well. Only criticism is that it's a bit on the pricey side, especially the specialty flavors. You could walk out of there with a $20+ lunch. For the cost, you should be able to add more than two toppings. Especially when one of the toppings is just a spice!

Yelp
New spot that just opened a few days ago--so far so good. You get to mix and match the type of gnocchi (they have traditional and gluten free cauliflower), sauce, and toppings. I had the potato gnocchi with basil pesto, bruschetta, parmigiano reggiano and chicken cutlet. They could've added more bruschetta in my opinion but everything was really flavorful and the chicken was cooked really well. It would've been nice if they offered some bread with it (might as well go all out with the carbs if you're there) to sop up some of the extra sauce. I'm curious to see how well they'll do since it's a very niche spot with a small menu and will depend pretty heavily on takeout since there's very little seating there. However, I'd definitely come back, and if you're a gnocchi fan in general, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Yelp
I gave this place another try. It was definitely better. I tried the gnocchi in Alfredo with red pepper flakes and shrimp. It was good flavor and the gnocchi texture is very good and comforting. I will try a red based sauce next time. Fingers crossed.

Yelp
Small hole in the wall with an Italian Cafe charm. Visited 30 mins before closing and was greeted with a smile. Ordered to go and was ready in 10 mins - Potato gnocchi, with basil sauce, red pepper flakes, parmigiano, bread crumbs on the side, topped with chicken cutlet Bowl is not that deep, so portions are on the smaller side - but gnocchi does fill you up. The cutlet was crispy but pretty thin. Within a few bites I lost my appetite due to the saltiness. Not a big Italian food eater so not sure how the quality of everything is. Might give it another shot sometime in the future.
google avatar

Jemal R.

Yelp
The food here is really damn good for a hole in the wall. Gnocchi is made in house locally. The sauces are really good. The gnocchi is darn good. Good enough that I'll be back even though parking in this area is ducking terrible. But this food is worth the headache of looking for parking. If you don't drive and take the train or bus here, it'll definitely be worth it. Only downside of this place is there are not enough tables but the food is in a good package and can travel well for take out. Would recommend.

Yelp
So thankful and happy this place is GOOD! Beautiful interior, friendly staff, and most importantly delicious and affordable food!! I was very full after my meal: potato gnocchi with pesto, breadcrumbs , basil and chicken cutlet - for $20!!! I recently had a very expensive gnocchi dish at a restaurant in LIC that was half the size and almost double the price and nowhere near as good. The chicken was perfection - tender on the inside and crispy on the outside- next time I might get 2 pieces cuz it was that good. Canoli also yummy! Will 1000% be back on the regular!
google avatar

Vexis B.

Yelp
Tried this spot recently after hearing a lot of buzz. The food was solid -- gnocchi had a nice texture and the sauce had good flavor. Everything was fresh and portioned reasonably. The interior had a clean, put-together vibe and felt inviting, though seating is pretty limited, which might be an issue during peak hours. Staff were polite but seemed a bit preoccupied. Service wasn't bad, just not super engaging. Prices felt a little steep for what you get, especially when it comes to customizing your order. A few basic additions really add up. Overall, a good experience -- I'd come back, but it wouldn't be my go-to unless I was already in the area.
google avatar

Anna C.

Yelp
I ordered the senza vodka and a cannoli. The senza was a lot spicier than I thought. Spice isn't mentioned in the description but I feel like it should be. Aside from spice, I also found it way too salty. So much so that I didn't finish it. Cannoli was good. The shell was softer than I'm used to but it stayed in one piece while I ate it. Overall, the woman who helped me was very nice, I ordered in person and waited less than 10 minutes, and it's cute inside.
google avatar

Will N.

Yelp
It's a small, locally owned business, and I genuinely prefer to support neighborhood spots with positive feedback. Unfortunately, I don't have that option this time. If you're Italian or have ever had gnocchi made by a Nonna, or enjoyed authentic gnocchi abroad or at a true Italian restaurant in the U.S., please don't waste your craving here. The gnocchi served has nothing in common with the real thing, it tastes almost identical to the pre-packaged, processed kind you can buy from a big-name pasta brand at the supermarket. In short, it's just not good. If others enjoyed it, I'd say it's likely because they don't really know what true gnocchi is. Then again, taste is subjective, some people honestly believe fast-food burgers are gourmet cuisine.

Yelp
Dangerously good. Filling food. I got two meals out of my gnocchi and chicken cutlet. The chicken cutlet was to die for! The gnocchi is delicious and I will definitely be back.

Jill L.

Yelp
Ordered to go. Was greeted with a smile. They now offer a lunch size portion for $10 in a small Chinese takeout container. I think it's a perfect portion. Gnocchi with pomodoro sauce. It was dense. I was told they no longer offer the spinach and ricotta gnocchi by itself. It only comes in the pesto basil sauce. Kind of bummed about that. It was lighter and not as heavy. Very filling and still good.

Yelp
Tucked away in Queens like a secret only locals should know about (but I'll just go ahead and blow the lid off), Gnocchi Bella is serving pure magic in pasta form. The gnocchi? Pillow-soft clouds of joy. I don't know what Italian grandmother they've got chained up in the kitchen, but she deserves a raise and possibly sainthood. Every bite tastes like it was made with obsession. The sauces are rich, layered, and hit your soul in places therapy hasn't reached. And don't even get me started on the service - so warm and so attentive. Whether you're on a date, in your feelings, or just craving something that'll ruin you for all other pasta - go to Gnocchi Bella. Eat everything. Thank me later. Five stars. Six if I could.

Yelp
A bit overpriced for what it is. The gnocchi didn't taste like freshly made, more like packaged from the store also came a bit overly salty. Cool concept though, again a bit overpriced.

Yelp
I just had gnocchi with marinara and chilean pepper infused olive oil. I didn't want it to end.

S K.

Yelp
I got the Senza Vodka with chicken cutlet and it was 10/10!! (Craving some more as I type this) If you've been thinking about going, here's your sign!

Princess K.

Yelp
The food here is amazing! Prices reflect the quality of the meal. I loved the interior design and service was very friendly. Definitely would go back and appreciate that they have halal options!

robyn b.

Yelp
Excellent customer service. Friendly staff. I have tried the pesto and pomodoro sauce. I loved both. Also tried both the potato and spin ricotta gnocchi. The chicken cutlet on top was excellent. Only complains is I always want more sauce. I will be back, probably just take out. Place is tiny.

Samantha P.

Yelp
Very salty and chewy gnocchi (no other selection of pasta available). Instead of putting basil in the pasta they only put the basil stem.
google avatar

Sasha K.

Yelp
A hidden gem on Austin street. Delicious gnocchi in a small, but elegant restaurant. $16 for a yummy hot, hearty plate of spinach gnocchi... prefer this to a $20 Sweetgreen salad any day! :)

Kyle M.

Yelp
Went for brunch - the pesto gnocchi and iced latte were both delicious! The tennis theme of the restaurant was also a vibe

Gwyn U.

Yelp
Nice environment with great food. Simple in a good way. Not trying to be too many things to too many people. Good coffee selection as well. Good execution goes a long way to repeat business!!

Yelp

Yelp
New spot but very popular very good food tried the spinach gnocchi with Alfredo sauce and meatballs amazing definitely recommend

Sherin S.

Yelp
While I know this is a relatively new restaurant, I think there is still room for improvement. I walked in and ordered 2 pastas - 1. the pesto Alfredo with chicken and 2. the truffle with shrimp along with a cannoli. The pesto Alfredo was fine , but the truffle pasta despite being ordered with shrimp was given with meatballs. The truffle pasta was very heavy and wasn't what was expected from the description, and the meatball was dry. The cannoli seemed like it was piped hours prior as the shell was very soggy. I would like to give them another chance but I'm unsure how they made a mistake in the order when I was there at a time where there was only one other person there waiting. I would recommend checking your order before you leave so this doesn't happen to you as well.

Sage A.

Yelp
This place is a gem! I tried the spinach ricotta gnocchi with pesto sauce and the classic gnocchi with pomodoro and burrata. Both were absolute perfection. I love how you get to essentially build your own gnocchi! The gnocchi was light, pillowy, and full of flavor. Portions were generous without being overwhelming. They were also serving a rainbow cake matcha latte, which has now been added to my list of sweet treat cravings. The hats and tennis club theme was adorable and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming! Can't wait to come back!!!

Zachary C.

Yelp
A great local spot. Very filling, reasonably priced. The gnocchi and all the sauces are great We will be back!
google avatar

Jonathan A.

Yelp
Ordered takeout from Gnocchi Bella and tried the Senza Vodka and Pesto Alfredo. Overall, it was a good experience--the food was decent and packed well. Portions were a bit on the smaller side, and the flavors could be a bit more elevated, but it still hit the spot. With a little boost in flavor and serving size, it could be great. Giving it a fair 4 stars!

J L.

Yelp
Just walked by and had to stop in. Cute vibe. Mostly takeout, but a couple of tables to sit. Few beverages & an espresso bar. Super friendly service. Delicious food! Highly recommend!

Lisa U.

Yelp
A great new addition to Austin street! Food was amazing! Both the gnocchi and cutlet were cooked perfectly and sauce was amazing. A very small place, can get busy, and we were delighted how kind and helpful the lady behind the counter was too! A+++++

Maria H.

Yelp
This was my experience: I walked in, walked up to the counter where there were about 4 people working. I was the only customer present at the time. I only received one "hi" and I saluted hi back. And that was the end of the customer service experience. I was expecting them to ask me what I'd like to order or what I'd like to drink, but no one even lifted their head up to attend to me as a customer. I stood at the counter for a solid 2 minutes waiting for someone to say something. Had I not initiated conversation again, I would still be standing there waiting for someone to acknowledge my presence. This is really bad customer service. I have genuinely received much better customer service at fast food restaurants. I hope other people are received with a warmer welcome than this in the future.

Kelvin R.

Yelp
Food is delicious. Coffee is tasteful. Price works out well for the amount of food you're getting. The only downfall is the space to sit in the restaurant. If gnocchi Bella moves to a larger space; they'll definitely get more recognition!
google avatar

Katelyn W.

Yelp
a bit pricey, chicken was cooked nicely and had nice breading. gnocchi was good as well! service was fast and good but it's a very small place - more of a takeout place.

Mark L.

Yelp
I don't understand this place, it seems to have a tennis / Ralph Lauren theme while serving only expensive gnocchi. In my opinion these are two completely separate things and i don't know why they would be related, other than they're both pretentious concepts and for people trying to look fancy. It feels like this place is trying to emulate being an image of being classy for someone's instagram post. It is like a restaurant with an equestrian themed serving escargot, or maybe a Louis Vuitton decorated restaurant serving exclusively eclairs only. Just pretentious. The gnocchi is not bad however not enough to justify the high price. Also I was astounded to see that basic spices and seasonings counted as countable "toppings". Ridiculous.

Alexandra P.

Yelp
Amazing pasta! The Cauliflower Gnocchi was incredible! We ordered the potato Gnocchi and the Cauliflower and were both incredible. Highly recommended!

J J.

Yelp
Tried Pesto Alfredo with shrimp ($29!!!) and really wanted to like it but unfortunately it was overly salty and I didn't taste any refinement that can justify the price of $29. The staff were really nice though. Wouldn't go back again.

Juan L.

Yelp
I had the potato gnocchi with shrimp. Cost $26 after tax. It was ok but overall I was not impressed, especially for that price. Gnocchi was too soft. Shrimp portion was small for the price. It should be more like $15

loadys v.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this place! Pesto Alfredo was my favorite but everything on their menu looks delicious. Will definitely be coming back!

Sana Q.

Yelp
great food, ambiance, and service! The staff is friendly, and the cafe set up is very aesthetic. the food came out pretty quickly and the spinach ricotta gnocchi with the chicken cutlet was amazing! the tiramisu is also 10/10z. will def be back!

Mohammad R.

Yelp
This place was really great. The staff here were really friendly and professional. I would def come back for their pesto alfredo

cheerio M.

Yelp
such good food, i had the mushroom pasta with potato gnocchi and it was amazing. I loved the matcha and the vibe of the room is super aesthetic .
