"This second outpost of popular Larchmont coffee shop Go Get Em Tiger has everything we like about the original and more. The coffee is as good as ever and the food is interesting, but the space is bigger and there’s a giant patio out front filled with actors rehearsing lines for their self-funded short films. As well as their legendary waffles, the Los Feliz location more food options - be healthy with a grain bowl, and less so with an excellent chicken sandwich. If you can leave without something from the pastry case, you’ve got more discipline than us." - Jess Basser Sanders
"Available in most of their outlets citywide (not online), this cafe/coffee shop is selling “pantry offerings” that include chickpea frittatas, jasmine rice, chai concentrate, and much more. Check their Instagram for the latest details." - brant cox
"Located on the Wisteria Lane of coffee shops (Larchmont Blvd.), Go Get Em Tiger knows you can’t get by on decent coffee and some scones around here. Competition is fierce, and this trendy little coffee shop rises to the occasion. Grab a latte and a baked egg and chorizo skillet, and go find a stroller to push before somebody asks you what you’re doing here. The Los Feliz location has a different menu and more space, and is just as good." - jess basser sanders, brant cox
"Breakfast is important, but seeing celebrities in their natural habitat is also pretty high on your dad’s to-do list. And the Go Get Em Tiger in Los Feliz is a very good place for him to do both (as a bonus, the celebs are usually nursing hangovers). You’ll also get to tell your siblings back home how much your dad fell in love with a “yeast-raised waffle,” and how mom ordered a turmeric macadamia latte." - brett keating
"Go Get Em Tiger has quickly ballooned from a tiny spot on Larchmont to a local mini-empire, with locations in Highland Park, DTLA, Weho, Hollywood, Culver City, and Los Feliz (temporarily closed). The secret to their success? The fact that their coffee is consistently excellent, from the simple, sweet iced coffee, to the completely over-the-top iced turmeric almond macadamia nut latte. They make that almond-macadamia nut milk from scratch, by the way, which is as good as it sounds - we usually ask for it on the side, so we can drink whatever we don’t dump in our coffee." - brett keating
