Go! Go! Curry!

I've been on the hunt for a good Japanese curry place since I moved to DFW last year, so I was stoked upon learning that Go! Go! Curry! was opening up nearby. The staff was welcoming, however the layout is cramped and can't seat many customers at all. The highlight of the Grand Slam was, surprisingly, the sausage. The curry sauce is sweeter than I'm accustomed to, while a bit of spice could have balanced out the flavour. Portion size is also on the smaller side given the $30 price point.

I Just recently started working in this area and today I was craving some curry, but was not expecting to see my favorite dish that I usually eat in Carrollton literally two minutes away from my job. Vu was so great and gave me a little of this curry's history. I ordered the Katsu Chicken and it was absolutely amazing, it had such a bold flavor . I'm definitely coming back and bringing my boyfriend so he can try. Their sign is definitely the truth!!! Japan's #1 Katsu ❤️🙌🏾

I drove from Fort Worth to this location because i have been so excited to try it!! I was not expecting it to be so small though. There are about 6 tables in total, but luckily there was one open when we got there. There are two kiosks you can order at, and the counter. The selection is a bit limited and they are expensive for what you get, but it's definitely worth the drive. The curry is dark and rich, much darker than I've seen and it was full of flavor. Staff was nice and the place was very clean.

Trying this place for the first time and what better way to try it than the Grandslam combo which has 1 chicken katsu, 1 pork katsu, 2 sausage, eggs, cabbage, rice and curry! It’s really good and like the breading. This place caught my attention due to wanting to try a Japanese chain that’s known for its curry.

I’m a huge fan of GoGoCurry and used to order it almost every week when I lived in NYC. Though I’m really happy that they just opened their Plano location (it was a long anticipated wait), the curry did not taste quite the same. During soft opening (6/20) I had the Pork Katsu Homerun. Katsu was fried to perfect and was juicy as always. Same goes for the shrimp tempura and the sausage. All very good. What I did notice immediately was that the curry color and consistency was slightly off: glossier, tad bit looser and darker brown than the one i’m used to. Taste confirmed that the curry was definitely looser and lacked the starchier comforting consistency from NY. Would I return? Probably. Maybe it wasn’t their best curry being that today was their DAY 1. Some other thoughts: I wish they had more seats. Unlike NYC locations where majority of order is to-go or app delivery, TX diners tend to dine-in a lot. They only had 5-6 ish small tables and they filled up quickly. Portions seem smaller. Cute packaging but after one scoop of rice, I was able to see the bottom of the container. Eek inflation?! Price isn’t cheap. When I checked my old midtown NYC location menu while waiting for my order, it was actually cheaper* than this Plano location! tldr, give it a try and decide for yourself! 9/8 Update: Bumping to 5 star (from 4) based on our last visit (last night). Their rice portions have increased and they added extra tables! Katsu still tastes hot and crispy as usual and now I know why their curry taste is slightly different than the NYC location I’m used to. Plano location, a franchise, tweaks their recipe slightly compared to the corporate run one in midtown. I kinda miss the curry from midtown but I’m also slowly getting used to the one here~ hope the store continues to do well and keep the taste consistent.

My brothers saw an ad for this restaurant in our neighborhood newspaper and wanted to try it out. They also wanted to shop for TVs near the area so we came by for lunch and the curry was delicious! I thought the curry's color was a little darker than I am used to, but it tasted delicious! The restaurant put the curry in these plastic containers and the portion looked smaller than what was on display but again, there was plenty of food. We were very happy with this visit and we will be back with the whole family.

The curry was very good. I never tried this place before but I was surprised at how good it was. The curry was a little bit sweet but you get used to it. Meals are served with cabbage on the side. Pictured are the sausage curry, pork cutlets curry, and the $55 challenge, World Champion which contains 4.5lbs of food, 4 pork cutlets, 2 eggs, and 2 shrimp tempura. They will be having contests in the future with this and other unannounced challenges. There is very little seating for now so be prepared for that. If you get your curry to go, make sure you ask to put the curry on the side so your rice doesn't get mushy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Always served me with a smile and helped me choose what I wanted to order.

Go Go Curry serves Kanazawa style Japanese curry known for its bold flavors and thick consistency. Just like ramen, Japanese curry has many varieties so try not to make unfair comparisons when reviewing this curry. Katsu has nice crunch, and the sausage looks to be kurobuta style which is flavorful and has a nice snap. Note that seating is limited but the staff is efficient in turning out orders for to-go. They handled the rush of soft & grand openings well.

There are a number of Japanese curry spots cropping up, and we thought we would like CoCo Ichabanya better but man, Go Go Curry is a hidden gem. Rarely crowded, pretty decently priced and the curry itself is far better here. Look for deals on DoorDash, I wish there was better curry/rice ratio (ie less rice more curry) but overall this is the top spot in Frisco/Plano for Japanese curry. And when you do the katsu....do the pork.

Had higher expectations for this place. The katsu was juicy, but the curry did not live up to my expectation. Serving size was also pretty small. I tried the chicken and the pork katsu, and I actually enjoyed the chicken one more!

Put down your phone and get over to this place for the perfect curry dish. You choose whether you want pork, sausage, fish, veggie or even tofu! The curry sauce is rich and over a bed of yummy rice and there is a fresh side of cabbage. A fantastic balance of cool crunch next to the hot food! We had the most amazing server, super friendly and adorable who brought our food to the table. We'll be back with our friends for sure!

Stopped by Go! Go! Curry! once the grand opening hype died down to try some Kanazawa style curry. I am a huge fan of Japanese curry so I was excited to try this style of curry for the first time. After reading about this style of curry online I came to this place with the expectation that this was going to be a thick and have a bold flavor. I ordered the chicken katsu curry which came out to a little under $15 for this bowl pictured here. The rice was super sticky like mentioned on their website but paired with the curry it felt like it was all the same texture which threw me off a bit. The shredded cabbage helped a bit with the texture which I enjoyed. The chicken katsu was flavorful and delicious, a bit on the saltier side but paired well with the rice. As for the part that was supposed to be the star of the show, I was a bit disappointed in the curry itself as I wasn't able to taste much of a curry flavor. I was expecting a bold curry flavor but could not find that in this dish. To be honest, I think the thing that would bring me back to this restaurant is the chicken katsu and not the curry.

Finally got to try Go Go Curry after waiting what seemed like ages for it to open. It was pretty good. You order at the kiosks and the food is prepared fresh shortly after. We got the pork katsu entree and combo that comes with an extra sausage and shrimp tempura. Everything was fried fresh and tasted good. My only complaints would be that it is a bit pricey for the portion size and that the curry is a little gloopy and they smother it all over the rice and put the katsu on top of it. It would be much better if they separated the curry from the rice and katsu, otherwise the rice is smothered with the sauce and gets very salty. The box they give is a little cramped. Speaking of the rice, there is a disappointing amount of rice compared to most other places. But overall, it's good and a nice option for a quick meal.

Wow! I am so honored to be the first to review this place! We just heard about their soft opening today via facebook and we have been waiting for Go Go Curry to open ever since they announced it 2 years ago. First of all for anyone who read my review I would like to give you a heads up. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE A LARGE PATY FOR DINE IN! They only have a limited space and seatings are scarce. Even for our family of 5, it was like playing tetris. Finding empty tables and sit separated from one another as most table options are meant for only 2-3 ppl. So please don't get upset if you come here to try Japanese Curry with your friends but actually there were no space for you to sit! You can easily order your food from the kiosk bar. It is very self explanatory and user friendly! You chose your entrees (chicken, pork, fish, shrimp) and can add any toppings for additional charge. They also offer few classic Japanese appetizer (like gyoza, edamame) and drinks. Even though this is a soft opening our food came out fairly fast! They all come out in their to go containers (not sure if they will ever change it). But the portions are a little smaller than you would expect if you go to a regular Japanese restaurant and order curry. Love their cute container though! Now to their food! I ordered their fish katsu and added corn. I never had Go Go Curry before and I was very curious how it would taste. So far we have tried many Japanese restaurant in our area who offer Japanese Curry (and had decent reviews) but we never found one that we would like and also wondering how it would compare to the other Japanese Curry place that will open up soon too (as we are very familiar with it and love). Their curry was interesting! A combination or tonkotsu sauce and curry, something I never had before and fun to try. But to be honest (not my favorite). There was so much sauce that my fish katsu became a little soggy. I liked that they cabbage on the side to mix (adds a little texture to your dish). My husband actually really liked it and said that this is better than most Japanese restaurant we have been that offered Japanese curry! This is a great place to order your food to go, or maybe stop by when you are on your lunch break! Not so great to come as family or hangout place with friends! So please bear in mind and don't get annoyed if there is not enough space for you to sit! Staff is working really hard to get your food out on time and are friendly too (even when it gets busy) Glad they finally opened! Great job doing a fantastic job on your first day!

Came to check this place out after I saw it on the Asian food Facebook group and I'm super glad I went! They serve authentic Japanese curry in a grab and go style restaurant. The store is really small so there's not much seating available but the food is really good for takeout as well. Even if you select "dine in" they give it to you in a takeout container (maybe bc it's a soft opening rn). Out of the several items we ordered, I recommend The katsu curry becuse the portion was a good amount and the katsu was nice and juicy. Also I believe their "large" size is just extra rice so keep that in mind when ordering. Overall, I think I will be a regular since I live super close and I think this place is worth checking out! Excited for the alley to open next door!

Infinitely better than CoCo Ichibanya. Come to Go Go Curry instead. The number one thing I miss about Japan is the curry (okay, fine, tied with sushi). Now, I have my curry pork cutlet fix in Dallas! While you can find amazing sushi at many sushi restaurants, I've never had good curry cutlet in Dallas. Each meal is fried fresh and comes out perfect every single time: perfectly crunchy and hot as cutlet should be. Contrast that with CoCo Ichibanya (Frisco), food comes out mushy and mildly warm. Even CoCo Ichibanya in Japan (yes I've been there) wasn't as good as Go Go Curry. Go Go's Curry is perfectly hearty and thick with amazing taste. CoCo's curry is runny and completely unfulfilling.

I've never had anything like this so I was working in the area so I got a bowl for me and my daughter. The guy at the register was cool and very helpful since I had no idea about the food. It looks really cool inside and clean. I got a pork one with dumplings on top. It was absolutely amazing, among the best food I've ever had in my life. The flavorfuls were just so amazing.

My family and I decided to visit Go Go Curry tonight since we were in the area. I had heard of this place before in Japan and wanted to try it out. On a Saturday night, we spent about 30-45 minutes inside and during that time no one else was in the restaurant but us.Seeing an international icon with no one else in it is concerning to say the least. We ordered at their kiosk and they have a very simple menu with a similar base but different protein options. I shared the grand slam curry option with my family and it was not bad. The chicken Katsu and pork katsu were very thin and I could barely tell the difference. The sausage tasted like an American style sausage which was a little surprising. I enjoyed the crispy tempura and the curry flavor was just average. Other people in my party ordered individual curry and it came with similar garnishes. The dish prices were around $14-$15 for regular size single portions, but they sell larger combo meals up to $50+. For the price, the dishes were a little lacking and it would be better suited at the $10 price point. This place is alright, flavors are nothing special and I do not think I would come back. It's just ok for it's price point and the area.

(This visit was from July 2nd, 2023) The katsu was great, and service was also rock-solid. Kanazawa curry has a distinctive taste that is very different from other places like Shokudo or CoCo. As this beat CoCo's opening, we were excited to try it. We got an extra egg which paired nicely with the katsu/rice. No issues here. Now for the cons: 1) prices is very high for how little food you get. These are like New York prices, even higher than CoCo in LA. Cost of living is not that high here in Dallas, so the cost of the food really should not be this high. I wonder if they will improve their supply chains as time goes on. (One calpico would set you down something outrageous around 4 bucks). Also, there was very limited seating. I will note that on FB, someone mentioned the seating has been expanded, and that management is very receptive to concerns/constructive criticism. Will definitely be back on their special days to try again and see how it's going. As as side note, there is a bbq chicken nearby and the Alley boba opening soon, so this plaza is kinda bussin

All 3 of us diners agree it's a 4 star. Compared to Coco Ichibanya, I'd say the curry holds its own. It's a darker curry and less sweet here at Go Go Curry. Portion size is good, not a ton but def enough for an adult. Ambiance: basic, adequate. No table service. Only one table for 6 And six tables for two. It offers seating, and self serve utensils/napkins. Your place your own order via the three tablets at the front. The food arrives quickly. Menu: fairly limited (less than CoCo) but good for a curry fix. Katsu curry: crispier than CoCo. I'd def get this again. Sausage curry: sausage is smoky, similar to CoCo It's a revisit for something quick and delicious.

Better in person, ok to-go/delivery. I've been on a Japanese curry kick lately so I've been trying everyone's!! I've had Go Go's in restaurant and via GrubHub. Obviously two very different experiences. Overall: This is a great curry place! They have a darker and tangier curry than CoCo Ichibanya but the combo of cabbage with the dish is super good. The portions are much smaller than CoCo but on par with other places. The rice is hit or miss. It was good the first time and then overcooked and mushy the second. Would also prefer sauces were on the side for to-go orders. They have the capability and I think it would help immensely with the quality received. Good: Great taste, good katsu, love the crunchy cabbage. I cannot wait until we get our brief allowance of cold weather to really tuck into a hot plate of katsu curry! I think this will be a wonderful dish for winter. Bad: Small portions in comparison to price, the sides when ordered to go are TINY. I barely got any corn or cheese and honestly should have been in a size larger container for the add on price. Would love to eventually see omelette added to the menu and the option to include cheese in the curry while it's hot so it can melt. I'll continue to order for them but I will admit once CoCo is on the apps it's going to be a hard call!

Food 4/5 Service 4/5 Ambience 3/5 We came here for lunch on Tuesday. Fast casual, order first on kiosk and you seat anywhere. I had chicken Katsu curry and the food came out quick. Curry was good, but it was a bit pricy for me for that portion. Our server was nice and friendly. I'd come back.

Food and service were top notch! Best curry I've had in the area. Went to this chain while I was in Tokyo. Was pleasantly surprised to find one in my area when I got home.

Food: 3/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Was excited to try a Japanese chain though the curry flavor and portions disappointed me. The curry itself had way more rice than curry, and the toppings were very limited but still good. The flavor of curry was definitely different from your typical curry from local Japanese, thought it tasted somewhat acrid. The store advertised our food to be served on metal plates, though we were disappointed to see our food served in in paper bowls. My food rating would have been higher if we were served on metal plates, especially since the pictures on the walls and screen advertised and specified the metal plate. Overall our experience felt somewhat as if we were eating at a low quality fast food chain and we will likely never come back unless we see hear about in the food presentation and quality.

For those Japanese Curry lovers, must try!!!!! As CoCoIcibanya got me hooked on Japanese Curry, I heard about Go Go Curry from a freind. It does have a different taste compared to CoCoIchibanya, but it is sooo good! Best part was....there was no wait!!!!!

Me and my friend recently stopped by Go Go Curry for dinner and ordered the Grand Slam. Three other groups (3-6 people each) arrived right before us, but we all still got our food in a timely manner! We both really enjoyed our meal and left content. We'll definitely eat here again when we're back in town. Shout out to their manager, Vu, for taking care of us so well! :^)

Epitome of average. Service was quick enough, but the prices are something else. $14 for two shrimp tempuras or three mini sausages over rice? Ridiculous. Not surprising since this chain is mostly found in New York, but the prices need to be adjusted to the area. We ordered regular Pork Katsu (large just adds more rice and curry, not protein). It was sub-par. The katsu didn't stay crisp and was sliced wafer thin, so became soggy quick. I've had much better flavor and portion sizes around the area, so I don't expect to be back.

Nice find in West Plano. The katsu and tempura were fried perfectly, and the rice with curry sauce was good. However, the curry was lacking in flavor. I didn't taste the spices that I normally do in Japanese Curry, or salt. Maybe my experience in Japan was too long ago, but it did leave more to desire. I did think that the portions for the money were worth it. The store was clean in the inside, and it's a good quick spot for lunch. Easy to order from the devices in the front.

Been waiting for any of the curry places to open! Finally tried it and it was not bad. The tofu was definitely the best part of it and I wish there was more of that. Definitely on the pricier side and though the one curry they had was good I feel like there could be some more variety. The portion was good though, I was very full after it! Also some of their menu math doesn't math (as in appetizers vs single add on doesn't necessarily make sense so do with that info what you will not sure if they have different portion sizes but in terms of price per piece just take another look)

No wait, great food! I went on a weekend evening and was able to order right away. I used the kiosk to place my order. The food came out in compostable to go containers, which was fine by me. The chicken curry was darker in color but tasted great. Overall, it was a great experience. While I was eating, a few people stopped by for takeout orders, but otherwise it wasn't too busy.

I went on a Saturday for lunch and was surprised to see it was empty. Went up to the service kiosk to order my food with no issues and sat down at a table for two. Difference between the large and the regular is just that it has more rice and curry, so I'd probably get a regular with extra curry and katsu. I ordered the chicken katsu and my girlfriend ordered the pork katsu. After reading the reviews that other people have left here, I do not understand the hate! The katsu is SOOO GOOD. The crunch was addicting and the curry (yeah it could use more salt) was light and tied everything together. Ambiance was a little quiet but it gave us the opportunity to talk to Vu, who graced us with some of the best katsu I've ever had. I'm saddened to see the hype had died down for GoGo but I really wish people would give them a chance. The curry isn't extremely heavy so I was able to go on about my day. I WILL BE COMING BACK!!

Went to try kanazawa style curry and I enjoyed the flavor! Definitely different if you are use to the more lighter and stew like consistency of Japanese style curry. The curry was more thick and darker in color but still tasty in its own right. We got the chicken katsu and the dumplings and we enjoyed it. The atmosphere is a relaxed, quick eats, kind of place so don't expect any fancy tables or silverware. Definitely give it a try if you don't want to fly out to the east coast or Japan!

Our first time and wasn't bad. Staff was super nice and friendly. There's isn't a kids section to order from but the staff suggested side of rice and order of sausage. They even cut up the sausage in tiny portions that made it easy for my son. He liked and and even asked for another sausage. You can order anything a la carte if you like. Not a big place, maybe less than 10 tables.

Sadly, and I repeat that phrase sadly, it is not what I remember Go! Go! Curry! to be. When there was a location in Houston, Texas, I used to frequent it at least once a week given my job allowed me that peek. I adored it. It was cheap, it tasted good, there was large portions, and that was about all that needed to be said. Eventually, it closed down during the pandemic, and by coincidence one opened up in Dallas. I have tried to eat here for separate times, the first time it was still under construction, the second and third time I was only here after it closed, and the fourth time I didn't make it in time before it closed. Today, I was finally able to show up in time and got the large portion of the pork Katsu curry, and sadly it didn't taste of anything. Perhaps it was me, I can't speak to anybody else, but the curry sauce was practically tasteless for me. The rice was cooked well enough. I don't know if the chain rebranded and changed recipes when it decided to go for the American market, but at least from whatever I remember, it does not at all taste the same. The pork was of decent quality and cooked nicely, and the tonkatsu sauce still tasted of what it was, but I am quite disappointed by the curry seemingly having no taste at all. Also, this location seems to be using some kind of paper carry out bowls rather than the metal trays that they used to use. I understand if that has changed since the pandemic, but it's a little strange to have rice packed into a bowl with a thick layer of brown tasteless goop on top and a pork chop on top of that. Overall, not worth the 2 1/2 or more year wait to eat it again and sadly, I won't be eating it again anymore. Especially since I live in Houston, this location is in Dallas, or technically Plano. Also, not quite related to the food, but the ambience overall is not quite as good as the one that was in Houston. There's no large fun gorilla mural on the wall, it seems to have more of a focus on the anime themed mascot rather than the gorilla. Again, maybe it was a marketing decision. But it doesn't have the same ambience. Also the lack of music and the echoing radio playing in the back of the store early 2000s alternative rock was a strange situation in a Japanese curry restaurant.

Just went to @gogocurryplano for the first time! The food was just okay, nothing terrible or amazing. I got the Grand Slam for $30. It comes with rice, chicken and pork katsu, fried shrimp, 2 sausages, an egg, topped with Japanese curry.

As an Asian, the food here is really bad. It's very different from the usual curry in Japan, and the amount of curry is way too small. The rice is also mushy and the portion is small. The katsu also feels like cheap food. If you're looking for mainland Japanese curry, don't go here.

Delicious! So freakin delicious! This is comfort food at it's best and reminded me of some of my memorable meals while visiting Japan years ago. So happy that we have something close enough in town !!!! Everything we tried tasted delicious and fresh. The Katsu comes out crispy and piping hot but without being greasy. The beautiful curry sauce is rich and thick but without being overpowering. It's a beautiful marriage of flavors when the sauce seeps into the warm rice and then you have that crispy pop of meat to top it off. You cannot (I repeat you cannot) NOT add a side of Berkshire sausage to this meal. It is a wonderfully meaty addition that has a wonderful snap when you bite into it. My Home run combo also came with a piece of shrimp tempura which was also great (airy and crisp). Can't wait to go back !!! Keep up the great work guys!!!

We are so happy that Go Go Curry is finally open!!! It is definitely worth the wait. My husband and I went on their soft opening day since everything is 15% off. They had a great variety of options for all to enjoy. Entering in, we felt that the restaurant was extremely small - like it was meant for to go orders mainly. They only had about 5-6 tables with a few chairs on each. This is definitely not a place to have a sit-down meal with parties larger than 2-3 people. Due to not enough seating, lots of people were standing in the front of all the tables and crowding against the wall. You can order on one of two kiosks towards the left side when you enter in. Given it is their first day, we did not have anyone service us although you are able to take orders at the front. Service was extremely quick though for how crowded it was close to their last hour. We went with the Grand Slam for the two of us, which included Kanazawa curry, pork and chicken Katsu cutlet, two sausages, cabbage, one tempura shrimp, and a sliced up boiled egg. We added some extra rice, an extra tempura shrimp, and Fukujinzuke (Japanese red pickled radish) into our meal which was plenty for two people. We absolutely demolished our dish! The curry was a well balance and very flavorful. The Katsu chicken and pork cutlets as well as the tempura shrimp were cooked to perfection and were tender and crispy. It was an amazing meal for their first day in operation. We will definitely be back for sure! Maybe one day to try their World Champion which looks huge!!! We highly recommend to check them out.

I stopped by for a late lunch during their soft opening and was surprised to only see one other couple inside, guessing I was lucky enough to beat the crazy lunch rush! They have about 3 kiosks you can use to place your order and pay. Our food came out sooo quick and hot which was a great start! I ended up getting the shrimp curry and my friends got the tofu katsu + home run. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the tofu curry. The tofu was crispy on the outside and the thick curry had plenty of flavor! They give you a good amount of rice that I wasn't even able to finish. They do have fake displays of their food which is plated on a nice silver plate, but the owner told us they are the only location that doesn't actually serve their curry like that and that they'll only use the to-go containers. Overall it was a good and fast experience and I would return for lunch or dinner if I'm ever nearby.

I was lucky enough to be invite to friends and family soft opening for Go Go Curry. My initial thoughts of the restaurant was that seating is limited, only a couple of tables and chairs. It's meant to be a fast casual take out place which definitely caters to the bustling businesses that surround the shopping area. Service is great, I could tell the staff was still training in some areas but overall good service and very friendly staff. I got the pork and chicken Katsu plates, the katsu was battered well and I learned that the batter isn't actually season, the meat is brined twice so that's where all the flavor comes from. Very juicy and yummy! Also, the curry itself is vegan! It's great that they have vegan options.

Ratio felt like 4 rice: 1 curry - can't determine quality of curry cuz they give so little. -red radish pickle costs extra -katsus are small and thin. About half the size compared to those Hawaiian and authentic Japanese restaurant katsus

I really enjoy the flavor of the curry here, I do think the portions are a bit small in comparison to price, but that could just be the times that we're living in now. The gentleman behind the counter preparing the food was polite and very helpful. I would recommend this place as I've had it a few times now and every time the food is consistent.

Theres no justification for curry that goes upwards of $60. Unless it involves wagyu katsu this place will need to adjust pricing. It is nowhere near the standards of Japanese cuisine. Its suppose to be comfort food that makes a person want to make frequent returns but instead the customer will look elsewhere for affordability and quality.

Tried out this new Japanese curry restaurant today for dinner and was surprisingly pleased with the taste, quality, speed, and value. We tried the chicken katsu curry, pork katsu curry, and fish curry. All were good choices but the chicken katsu was exceptional. Highly recommend this spot to anyone who loves Japanese curry rice!

Nice and friendly atmosphere! The curry is absolutely AMAZING. It was the perfect crunch and the meat was juicy. Not to greasy either. The kiosk was convenient to order from and the cashier was helpful too. We didn't know what to order so we went with their recommendations and tried the pork katsu and the home run. All was delicious! We'll definitely be back!

Not bad but also not super impressive either. The curry has a unique spicy flavor and thick texture that definitely sets it apart from other Japanese curries. And you get enough food to keep you full and satisfied. I think my friend and I may have gotten food poisoning from here though because we both got diarrhea after eating the curry...

Good Food, Good Service, A Bit Overpriced Go Go Curry satisfied my recent craving for the fast comfort food of Japanese curry. I liked the Home Run combo meal because it was the smallest combo that allowed me to sample a katsu cutlet, shrimp tempura, and a sausage. All the items were well cooked and presented, and the portion was satisfying. I shall definitely return because the menu was well organized; the digital kiosk was easy to use; the restaurant appeared to be clean; the service was courteous and reasonably quick; and they offer a loyalty reward program. Unfortunately, I spent about $40 in total for lunch for two, which is bit high to me; so instead of a regular, go-to place for fast food, I'll limit my visits for when I want a special treat and have a strong craving for Japanese curry.

We ate at here but no metal plate even I said dine in. It was different between picture and real food we were served.

After visiting Japan we were excited to hear a Curry place opening up nearby. Unfortunately the food is average at best and the pricing is insanely high for what you get. A friend from Japan commented the curry was unusually dark and likely beef based even though you order pork/chicken. Service was simple and quick. Not much space to sit and eat so it's better to order takeout.

My friend loved this place back in NY and has been trying to get me to go for a while since having moved to Texas. My friend told me this place was way more expensive and way smaller in portion even when compared to Manhattan prices. The katsu was inedibly salty. We ordered a grand slam with one extra pork katsu and a fountain drink. The total was just under $41. We threw out almost an entire cutlet and a half. This katsu was clearly brined incorrectly and was beginning to make my head hurt from the amount of salt.

Authentic Japanese curry at affordable price! Very friendly staff and service! Only complaint is not enough sitting/dining space for bigger group. Since it's a to-go curry place, guess that makes sense for small dine-in space. Will definitely come back again!!

Not a bad place right off of Preston in West Plano. For the value, the combo is well worth it. I ended up with the Homerun Pork. The katsu and tempura are fried perfectly, the sausage tasted like a giant Lil' Smoky, and the rice with curry was good. However, I feel like the curry could have had more curry taste. It was kind of bland, didn't get a good dose of the spices that make curry, curry. Portions and prices work, the location is clean, and a good spot for lunch. Not great for big parties though. Anyhow, it'll do!

Go Go Curry is one of my first stops whenever I visit Japan, so I was thrilled when I saw that a store was opening locally! I went during the grand opening and it was packed, however they still prepared my order quickly. I would highly recommend!
