"Go! owner Rob Hess started selling his small-batch ice creams from a tricycle at area events and has since graduated to a downtown Ypsilanti location complete with retro soda fountain equipment. Although there’s a limited number of daily flavors, there are many different sundaes, shakes, and sodas in which to try them — including the rich and spicy chocolate sorbet taco." - John Reyes

Google
Some of the creamiest, most flavorful ice cream we've had in some time. The vanilla bean incorporated all types of beans and the flavor was unreal. It definitely takes vanilla to an entirely new level. There were several great options to choose from. It's a cute ice cream shop, and we picked up some cookies, hot cocoa mix, and the most adorable pint cover as well. It's definitely worth stopping by.

Google
What a delightful spot to enjoy ice cream! Small rotating batches, homemade, and a fun retro appearance all add to the experience. I was glad to see not only one but two options for lactose free sorbets. I had the hibiscus raspberry coconut sorbet and it was surprisingly creamy, tart, and sweet. I did sample a small spoonful of my friend's banana ice cream and it was excellent as well. Combined with biodegradable spoons and cups, it was a real treat to enjoy on the provided seating outside. I also saw some delicious looking cookies I'll have to try next time. If they ever got a chimney cone maker to combine with their delicious ice cream, I'd be making even more trips from Toledo to Ypsi!

Google
Yup, go here! Delicious handmade icecream in a waffle cone, waffle cup or regular dish. Everything I've had has been great and flavors change weekly. Service has been friendly and fast! Example flavors: rootbeer float and blueberry and lemon curd.

Google
This is a sensational ice cream shop! There are seasonal treats here and an early pride taco! 'I'm a Gay Taco'. Darling interior design 🍦 10/10 will be a lifelong customer!

Google
There most definitively diabetic coma inducing deliciousness in ypsilanti. This banana flambe split is to die for. The balance of flavors just *muah* This particular one ended up being a banana clam more than a split as they ran out of the long waffle bowls but it was just as delicious. Is it too big for one? Hmmm... Depends on the one. Lol

Google
Honestly not sure why this place has super good reviews. Their menu is super limited, and they only have one dairy free option. It was okay, but not great.

Erika D

Google
The staff was sooo friendly and lovely, and the chocolate sorbet was a delicious dairy-free chocolate ice cream that was INCREDIBLE! My favorite ice cream anywhere in the world used to be the Dark Chocolate at Melt in texas, followed by the chocolate flavor at City Market in Mexico City. This has outranked both!!! (Edited to add today’s picture, I got sprinkles to make this gray weather better! Yup it’s 32 degrees and I was eating this ice cream)

Suzanne Sorter

Google
Rob and his staff clearly love what they do! Always a pleasant experience! The ice cream is delicious and of the highest quality. (Not sure what to get? Try a chocolate sorbet shake but be forewarned any other will pale in comparison!) Most recent treat was the egg nog gingerbread cookie sundae...YUM!

Yelp
Ordering an ice cream cake and carrot cake ice cream for my partners birthday was absolutely a slam dunk with the party. This is easily the best ice cream (no) cake cake I've had. I really enjoy the DELICIOUS crust (chocolate buttery Oreo situation). My partner asked if we can just have these on hand in the freezer Also, the carrot cake ice cream was phenomenal. Cant wait for more!

John M.

Yelp
After dinner, we went here for dessert. It is a charming little place with a big, very well decorated seating area in another room. There are rainbows, flags, and even a disco ball in the seating area! The original tricycle which they used to serve ice cream is also in there! The guy serving us was very nice and helpful. They are generous with the samples! I got the Michigan Strawberry ice cream with Graham Cracker crust topping. I would recommend only getting one scoop, because the portions are HUGE! The ice cream was very good, smooth and creamy with plenty of big strawberry pieces. I felt that the Graham cracker crust was ground too fine (it was almost like a dust). Once I tuned my scoop upside down, so the crust got mixed in, it was a lot better. They also serve pints to go.

Dia D.

Yelp
We went here and got the Barbenheimer soda, Rob's sundae (peanuts, peanut butter, and chocolate), and a Summer Sunset sundae with the corn and berry ice cream. They were all very good. The Sundaes were pretty big and next time I would get a Kiddie Sundae. Extra points for using compostable bowls and spoons.

Yelp
I've had GO! in Tantre Farm CSA once as well as at York, but this is the first time I've been to the brick & mortar location. They have about 6 flavors on deck, plenty of pints, ice cream sandwiches and ice cream pies! We had the -- *Brûléed Banana Ice Cream (Our Brûléed Banana ice cream tastes just like a perfectly creamy crème brûlée crossed witht he most comforting banana bread! We start with perfectly ripe organic bananas, slice them into quarters, coat them in sugar and torch the sugar to a delicious, caramel color before adding them to our sweet cream base with a pinch of salt and a touch of vanilla!) *Michigan Strawberry (This creamy, tart summertime treat is made with fresh-frozen Michigan strawberries sourced from the incredible, Farm to Freezer company located in Detroit! Most ice cream places have fake strawberry-flavored ice cream year-round, but partnering with Michigan Farm to Freezer, allows us to highlight the incredible Michigan Strawberry year-round. The result is a very flavorful, rich ice cream that pairs perfectly with Michigan summer days - or any day of the year!) Eating them together was pretty delightful. I never pick the strawberry banana smoothie but I will pick those flavors here at Go!: The strawberry wasn't too tart. The bruleed banana was pretty fantastic.

Yelp
This place has the potential to be awesome. Unfortunatly it is just ok. My 2 sons had a great time and loved their ice cream (of course). My husband got the chocolate Sorbet and it was so chocolatey and dark that it was nearly uneatable. I wouldve never thought that there was such a thing as TOO much chocolate but ya...TOO much chocolate. The staff was not rude but seemed to have zero interest in us. They took our order, made it and gave it to us. No small talk, no suggestions, no Have you ever been here?, no smiles, no thank you please come again. Cant say it was a bad interaction but we definitely didnt leave in a better mood, then when we arrived and isnt that kinda the point of going out to get icecream? Maybe we just showed up on an off day. We will give it another try sometime.

Mercy W.

Yelp
This place is absolutely fantastic. They make things from scratch like everything from scratch. They only have a few flavors, but the combinations that they create with those flavors and all of the toppings really certainly gives you a variety to cover every kind of taste bud that you might have for Ice Cream. I really appreciate that. They have some staples and rotating flavors. I usually get the peanut butter chocolate sauce in a waffle bowl. Everything I've had here has been super amazing and the staff was friendly. The downside of this is that it's been a rough part of town right by the bus station so I would definitely enter through that alley entrance to avoid the congestion and mayhem that may be on the main street in front of it. Ypsi can be gritty in this area definitely is. But this ice cream oh my God totally worth the drive and totally worth calling through whatever you need to to get inside and get some of that deliciousness.

Mallory R.

Yelp
Go! Ice cream was highly recommended to me and I was finally able to give it a try. The shop was a bit small but there was plenty of seating outside and in a nearby room. The staff were very friendly and gave us some recommendations. The flavor selection was small but they had ice cream sandwiches too. Now for the main show: ice cream. I went with the vanilla flavor and my boyfriend got the banana brûlée. We both got the chocolate shell topping and I added some cookie crumbles. The servings were generous. The banana brûlée tasted exactly like banana, and not the gross fake banana flavor but like an actual banana. The vanilla was kinda meh, I didn't think the vanilla flavor was very strong. The chocolate shell was kind of meh too. Overall, it wasn't bad ice cream but it didn't live up to the hype that I had heard.

Yelp
Worth the drive from Metro Detroit and also getting wet from the rain. Some of the best ice cream cookie sandwiches I have ever had. Not too big, not too small, not too sweet either. The walk up window is located in the alley but have a large sign pointing to how to find it. I noticed a few small tables and chairs to sit and enjoy, but when it started to rain and I left my umbrella in the car, I had to make a run for it. It would have been nice to have an inside place to sit and enjoy. I also wished that I could have gotten a couple of more. Next time I am in Ypsilanti ...

Yelp
Go! Is more than just an awesome place for DELICIOUS ice cream. It is a place that genuinely makes you feel welcome and goes out of their way to keep everyone safe. My family has so appreciated that we have been able to get our Go! ice cream fix throughout the pandemic and look forward to the day we can attend their fun events again. This is a business that you can feel really good about supporting. Not only is their product top notch, but their practices prioritize quality, sustainability, community and inclusion. They are constantly giving back to the community and prioritize taking care of their staff. Not many businesses this size offer 100% paid health, dental and vision insurance (among other benefits to their people). It has been fun watching their growth over the last couple of years and cheering them on from the sidelines!

Cheryl W.

Yelp
Homemade, great flavors and mix ins. Good to-go selections. Polite staff. Cute little place.

Reena P.

Yelp
Great service. Friendly staff. Easy to order. Great selection of flavours for ice cream. Definitely a go to place in downtown Ypsilanti. The ice cream was pretty standard as per most ice cream shops, but the cookies that were part of the ice cream sandwich were delicious. I particularly liked the salted cookie. It helped balance out the sweetness of the ice cream. The cookie sandwiches were made of salted chocolate chip cookie on one side, a dark chocolate cookie on the other) and doused with more sprinkles and edible glitter. If you were in the area, I highly recommend this ice cream place.

Martha R.

Yelp
My only complaint of this place is that they aren't open enough. Of course, that fact may very well help keep me from getting diabetes. I cannot stop eating the ice cream here. It is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good. And look, I'm very picky about my sweets b/c I kinda go a little nutzo over my health. Worth every single bite. Every single bite. One final note: if you have a love of chocolate ice cream, don't let the fact that their chocolate sorbet doesn't have any cream. It is the BEST. If I could marry it, I would.

Grace K.

Yelp
Update: still 5 stars, as good as ever! They have vegan chocolate (for my egg and dairy allergic toddler), and Lagavulin (scotch) ice cream - perfect for my husband!! How special and unique. Can't find that Anywhere else. My favorite waffle cone! The best I've had. The ice cream is awesome, but you have to get it in the cone! There's only a handful of flavor choices at any given time but they are interesting and rotate and all taste really good. Plus it's a cute little shop with friendly people.

Danielle K.

Yelp
Alittle hard to find if I wouldn't have been following my gps, It's down an alley with a little window. I showed up 4 minutes before close and forsure thought it was going to be a problem, Yet they were SOOO happy and excited to see me! Staff was beyond friendly. The ice cream sandwich was absolutely adorable with a chocolate chocolate cookie on one side and a salted chocolate chip cookie on the other filled with vanilla ice cream, covered in glitter and rolled in sprinkles packaged in a airtight wrap! I don't think I've every had such a delicious ice cream sandwich in my life! What an awesome place!

Kristi S.

Yelp
Their vegan chocolate ice cream is the best ice cream I have ever had. I'm a chocolate fan who has had many "death by chocolate" desserts. None of them compare to this. If we're able to choose the means of my own demise, I would choose death by over eating this ice cream.

Chloé O.

Yelp
As someone who would usually order a cone and not a cookie sandwich, I have to say that this sandwich is ah-mazing! The cookies are perfectly think and soft for an ice cream sandwich--and the chocolate chip cookie was exceptional. I love the ordering window in the alley. And I had the most friendly service I've received in a looooooong time. I'll be back....probably more often than they may even want me

Luayy A.

Yelp
I had to say go ice cream is awesome I love their ice cream because it's my first time and I can say they're different concoction to flavors is amazing I really love homemade ice cream especially it's local I get to support the local economy I'm like to say that these flavors are wow I love how the corporate birthday cake into ice cream and other kinds of different flavors congratulations on making ice cream decadent I also like to say that I've driven past here many times and I was like what makes a good ice cream shop call Zing zing well you have to have a good recipe I think you have all the recipes to make a good ice cream focusing on a base product and then give me out to the masses as an excellent job well done

Aliya T.

Yelp
Pretty cool place. I haven't seen any ice cream shops that use healthy and natural ingredients for their product (at least the places I have been). It was pretty cool that the flavors rotates but were also really unique. This location offers ice cream, drinks, and other combinations with the ice cream. Very inclusive and inviting as well. Enjoyed my time here and wish I could go back again sometime. Support this ice cream business :)

Jessyka M.

Yelp
Great vibes overall and their vegan chocolate ice cream is so good. It's extremely rich though to be careful! Lol. I hope they come out with more dairy free options in the future!

Lexi P.

Yelp
Amazing food! The brown butter ice cream is my favorite flavor, it never goes wrong. Great service as well!

Dee D.

Yelp
We stumbled upon this ice cream shop in downtown and had to try it out! I love that the ice cream is made in house! I had the Michigan strawberry ice cream and it was so delicious! The worker was so friendly and polite! Will definitely be back!

Racemic U.

Yelp
Don't understand what happened to them but we won't be back. Ice cream was very icy. The brownies in my sundae were totally stale. They served my sundae in this tiny container and the hot fudge was so hot that it literally melted my ice cream so much that just in the time it took me to walk from the counter and halfway to the sitting area the top half of it completely fell off and all the cherries dropped to the ground. Either lower the temp on the hot fudge holder so it doesn't completely melt my ice cream or invest in larger cups so that when it does start to topple over, the customer doesn't lose half of their $8 sundae. I understand that prices are rising everywhere but, it is crazy that their ice cream pies are now almost $40 when they used to be $21. We also tried their ice cream sandwiches and we ended up throwing them away. The ice cream doesn't taste freshly made at all. Make them half the size and charge half the price. No normal child can eat those large ice cream cookie monster sandwiches and it just ends up in the trash; they looked really cute but not worth it if they end up in the trash. Also, why do you have only like 5 flavors of ice cream when Blank Slate and Ilorio's have over 20?

Jesus E.

Yelp
Cute ice cream place in downtown ypsi! It has a very old fashioned ice cream parlor feel to it. It seems like they are still figuring out what to do with the front space that faces the street but the main area is super cute! It also faces a cute little alley which is perfect for enjoying your ice cream outside when it's nice out. They have a small selection of daily flavors but I'd say everything I've had has been delicious!

Annette J.

Yelp
Go! Ice Cream is just the bees knees. I love everything about them. From their cute little storefront with shiny soda fountain, to their welcoming staff (with their adorable old timey bowties!), the lovely owner, to their special events like drag shows and fancy milkshakes during Ypsi First Friday, it's all good. Oh and speaking of good, nay--GREAT. Their ice cream! They have rotating flavors including some of my faves: local honey (that caramelized honeycomb they break into it is to die for), coffee and cookies, chocolate peanut butter, sweet brown butter, and the incredible rich, and decadent (and dairy free!) chocolate sorbet. Yes, they have great vegan/non dairy options here as well. So if you're lactose avoidant, come on down! Special sundaes are also choice. If you like bananas foster, get the bruleed banana sundae. Ain't nothing' finer! Take a pint to go or stay in and get a scoop (or two) and take a stroll around downtown Ypsi!

Kristi M.

Yelp
First time here and I doubt I'll be back. They don't have all the flavors available for scoops. They only have like 4 or 5 and the rest are pints. They only had sprinkles for toppings. No sauces at all. The Michigan strawberry had like straight up preserves in it and not just a little. It was more like jam with a little cream. Way too sweet and sloppy. The coffee and cookies ice cream had no flavor at all except for when I ate the oreo. Their chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich are made ahead of time and frozen solid. We had to defrost it for hours before we could even bite it. I will say the oatmeal cream pie was delicious. The building was run down and the whole area felt unsafe.

Stephanie L.

Yelp
The ice cream was very tasty and fresh. I absolutely loved the Coffee and Cookies ice cream flavor. The coffee wasn't too overpowering which I really appreciated. I also ordered the Sweet Browned Butter which was really good at first but it got too sweet for me. Each scoop was a large portion. They stacked one flavor after another which isn't my preference. I wished they placed the two scoops side by side so I can switch between the two flavors. The shop itself is cute but the other room with additional seating could use more decor. This shop is very inclusive which I absolutely love! I would definitely return.

Jody K.

Yelp
The ice cream shop is a little difficult to find when you get into the building. There's a room on the left that just has some seating and what I think was a salon on the right. Go! Ice cream is all the way in the back and to the left -- and you pass the window to the kitchen before you get into the shop, where you enter at an odd angle. Once inside, the shop is tiny -- a few stools at the counter and some T-shirts & things for sale. But the two women who were handling the counter were VERY helpful and friendly. I tasted the brown butter ice cream (from a METAL spoon!), and the one woman said it was her favorite. The other woman said she liked the honey the best and thought I should try it, as she put the spoon in the ice cream. Even though I don't like honey, I DID like that ice cream! They also said I should try the strawberry, so I did. That was good, too, but not what I was in the mood for. I told them I was having a hard time deciding between the first two, and they said I could have a half scoop of each, so that's what I did. They were definitely bigger than half scoops! I liked the ice cream a lot, especially since it didn't have "junk" (i.e.; chemicals) in it. I did taste a couple of icy bits, but overall, it was very good, and I'm glad that I made a detour to try it.

NightCrawler ..

Yelp
Love love love this place. My favorite is the brûlée banana split. The ice cream flavors are always a hit and the employees are always very kind and patient.

Tim S.

Yelp
I wish they had more flavors. I like that they make their own ice cream. However, since they rotate 2 of the 6 ice creams they offer, sometimes their isn't a good flavor available.

Zach T.

Yelp
So good! Best ice cream I've ever had. Drove from Charleston SC. to visit fam and had to stop here. Worth the stop!! Coming back very soon.

Rachel B.

Yelp
This was my first time going to Go! Ice Cream and it did not disappoint! I tried a sample of the chocolate sorbet, sweet browned butter ice cream, and chai ice cream. It was hard to choose between them because they were all so good, but I went with the chai. I wanted something a little extra so I got the kiddie sundae with a fudge shell, whipped cream, and cherries (NOT icky maraschino cherries either- they were real dried cherries!). The fudge and whipped cream tasted homemade and were such a good complement to the ice cream. 10/10 recommend! I felt like the price was very reasonable for the amount of ice cream I got too, as I've been to other ice cream shops in the Ann Arbor area.

Hannah R.

Yelp
I've been itching to write a review for Go! Ice Cream ever since I first tried their ice cream last December at the DIYpsi Holiday Craft Fair. Hands down, their sweet browned butter ice cream is the best ice cream I have ever had. This is a lady that eats A LOT of ice cream, and if I had my pick of any, I would go to Go's Ice Cream in a heart beat for that perfect buttery concoction! Their store front recently opened and it is quirky and fabulous, just like them. I ordered the browned butter ice cream (no surprise) with the peachy ginger sauce with graham cracker crumbs. I'm pretty sure that is what magic tastes like! I tried a nibble of my friends waffle cone and it basically tasted like caramel kettle corn. YES. At the DIYpsi Indie Art Fair I had their vanilla bean ice cream with crispy chocolate pieces and rainbow sprinkles. It was refreshing and very yummy. If you're craving ice cream and you're in the Ann Arbor/Ypsi area, there are no doubts that you should come here. There flavors rotate so you absolutely must go here all the time (until you get to try sweetened browned butter ice cream, and then you have to go again, to try all the other flavors of goodness). All the great flavor aside, the owner and crew of this place are very friendly and enthusiastic about their products. They even do delivery. So I say, go to Go!

Aparna B.

Yelp
New creamery with delicious treats! I heard Go! Ice Cream had opened recently (I think actually last week...) and was dying to go! I saw so many of my friends posting photos on social media with their trips there and finally went over the weekend. It's a very small space but it's an old-time-y style ice cream shop. The staff all wear white shirts with bow ties and the guys were sporting the old fashioned ice cream/bicycle hats. They offer three flavors a month and this month they had: three bean vanilla, sweet browned butter and chocolate sorbet. They offer samples of anything there and offer scoops in a cup, waffle cone or even ice cream and root beer floats! I went with the chocolate sorbet which was incredibly fudgey, rich and decadent. The girl working there warned me of this and she wasn't wrong; it wasn't a bad thing at all though! Though rich, it wasn't so overpowering that it was too rich to eat. My husband got the vanilla and said it was delicious The space is quite small with a few chairs against the wall, and stools at the small counter. Parking is available in public lots around the area (one down the alley from the shop itself) or on the street. The place can be hard to find since it's located in an alley, but it's on the same street at Beezy's and Bona Sera Cafe (...and the Vu- ha) so it isn't so bad. Prices are kind of like Ann Arbor prices for artisanal goods but nothing to be angry about. Definitely give this place a try!

Wilson C.

Yelp
I came to this ice cream shop with my friend because we wanted some ice cream and this place looked good on yelp. We got the banana split with Michigan strawberry and the salted butter flavors. Both of these were really delicious and the portions were huge! The staff was also really friendly and gave us water to help us eat the ice cream. I definitely recommend this place!

Chelsea M.

Yelp
Super friendly staff! Let us try a bunch of different ice creams!? The upside is they have non dairy ice cream which is winning for us! Even before they gave us anything they checked that what allergies if any we had.. which i think is amazing since my daughter has a rough time with dairy!? Creme brûlée bananas on the banana split was prolly the most amazing thing i have ever ate!? I wasn't prepared for that amazingness !!!!! My daughter got a brownie Sunday! Which was amazing as well! I don't think we will go anywhere else for ice cream! Nothing compares! They also make the ice cream and all the toppings in house!

Lily N.

Yelp
I've been here several times before but this shake was their specialty "anniversary shake" and it was delicious! I always love their homemade ice cream! They typically have 5-6 flavors that they go through but they're always good! Their vanilla bean ice cream is my favorite but my boyfriend loves their root beer floats. All in all, this is a great little ice cream shop and I would 100% recommend checking it out!

Ian T.

Yelp
Best ice cream I've ever had... but! To elaborate, I didn't have the pleasure of visiting the inside of the business but I was met by an extremely gregarious and fun girl wearing a bow tie out front serving Go's ice cream from a bicycle cart. She was fantastic! And wow is the ice cream good!! I had the "toasted sweet butter" I think? Correct me if I'm wrong but WOWWOW tasted like liquid toffee, so delicious! My buddy got the "Chocolate Sorbet" and it tasted like fudge. Or scratch that... IT WAS FUDGE... 100% going back, and the Elite treats freakin ruled!!!

Jessica P.

Yelp
The cones taste like cookies! Really good. Cool front room to eat in.

Fai F.

Yelp
Small and sweet and my first experience with a banana Sundae and it was amazing! Not only was it fancy with brulee'd bananas, all the components were on point. Ice cream so good and creamy. Peanuts worthy of being eaten on their own, fresh whip cream, and chocolate syrup. I can't imagine a sundae anywhere else now. Staff was also super friendly!

Shannen B.

Yelp
I was a little disappointed because I wanted to get their crazy shakes that I saw from Instagram, but they told me that those are only available on first Fridays of the month. Meh. So i got the sundae, wanted to get the banana split but they didn't banana so there's that. I mean the sundae was really great but I was just sad that I didn't get what I wanted. They replaced the bananas with brownies so I was still happy. The ice cream were really good, great consistency and texture as well! However the brownies were a bit harder than I expected. Would probably come back on a first Friday to get the shake!

Charmaine C.

Yelp
The servings here are huge, and every ice cream flavor I've tried has been worth getting. The ice cream is creamy and not too sweet, unlike most of the American ice cream we try here (ahem washtenaw dairy and blank slate, you who make me regret everything when I'm done to the last 1/4 scoop). I don't get that buyer's remorse here! In fact, after discovering this place I dragged friends back within the next week or two for my second portion. Flavor-wise, the browned butter and local honey are the best together. But don't look down on their other flavors! Take a look at my pictures of an idea of the serving size. If you are considering it, I would recommend skipping the banana split combo, because I felt that all the flavors overwhelmed the actual ice cream rather than added to it! Unless you are the kind who really loves a lot of different things on your ice cream.... If you want to go this route though, the maraschino cherries tasted different from the syrupy sweet store-bought ones you get, and the banana was flambeed on the spot. Everything by hand, from scratch, indeed.

Rachel B.

Yelp
Handmade ice cream is a real treat and Go! Ice cream delivers on quality. I've been coming to Go! for quite some time. I can't wait to revert back to Pre-covid times. There are a multitude of ice cream spectacles: Shakes, sundaes and hearty scoops. There are always new flavors and specials. Recently, I've been getting ice cream pints to go. Can order online and pick up between 12pm-6pm (currently). Just have to walk up to the window and grab and go. The owner is very responsive and active in the community. Can't wait for my next spoonful.

Jim M.

Yelp
Excellent house-made ice creams crafted by people with a passion for quality and innovation. I had the Sweet Browned Butter ice cream in a waffle bowl, and the flavor was subtle & sublime, with just the right crunch added by the waffle. The staff is fun and engaging, really makes you enjoy the atmosphere as much as the ice cream, and that's saying something. The proprietor even let us preview an upcoming flavor still under development; I may not be at liberty to divulge the name, but it rhymes with rudge! Go and give Go! Ice Cream a try. I recommend it!

Ralph K.

Yelp
This place is fun! A few flavors. All homemade. It was good, but didn't blow my mind. I had the brown butter with hard chocolate topping.

Behrooz Y.

Yelp
Go! is an amazing ice cream place. They have only a few flavors, which means that what they serve is very fresh. Another good sign: they keep their ice cream in closed containers, which means that it's not about the looks but the quality. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The sample sizes are quite remarkable. Make sure you try out a couple of flavors before ordering because the portions are huge (as in American huge). We got the small size, half and half (two flavors) and we still could had a hard time finishing it. The shop environment is pretty nice and chill. They have a counter where you can enjoy your ice cream while looking at other customers' order created into being. Or chat with other customers about their ice cream quests. The chocolate sorbet was very rich, though not overpowering if you are into that stuff. The local honey was very pleasant and the chai was well done. They also have a bunch of sundae and shakes and the like, which I will definitely try the next time I'm in Michigan.

Yelp
This place has to be one of the best places to get high quality, good ice cream! I like it better than Blank Slate in Ann Arbor, which is also really good. As someone said, they don't have many flavors, but what they do have is incredible! If you believe them, nearly everything (from the cherries on top to the whip cream) is made from scratch, which is so awesome! Homemade whip cream is sooo good. On top of great ice cream, the workers there are sooooooo incredibly nice. It's unbelievable. They must treat their workers well. I highly recommend the creme brûlée banana split. They literally torch a banana with sugar on it. It's pretty epic.

Yelp
What a great addition to downtown Ypsilanti! They have three flavors continuously, and then three others that rotate (if they're not sold out already). The three they usually are always stocked with are vanilla bean, chocolate sorbet, and sweet brown butter! The vanilla bean is extremely light and refreshing. The chocolate sorbet is very, very rich, but still very good.... I just wouldn't get more than a scoop! The sweet brown butter is where it's at! With their rotating flavors, they offer different sundaes and other combinations. I recently got this banana split, and how great does it look!! The staff is always very helpful, and they are excited to be there. The small place has an old soda fountain vibe, which speaking of they offer homemade sodas! Grab the mandarin orange! They also graciously offer samples of everything, so keep that in mind!

Yelp
Love this place! I'm not a huge ice cream officianato. But the staff here is awesome Cleanliness is top notch and ice cream quality was a 10! The best part of our visit was the staff though. So hard to find people that actually love what they do.

Yelp
GO! here for a unique ice cream adventure. Flavors are far from typical, although if you are a chocolate or vanilla die-hard, they can accommodate you as well. Chili mango is one example of different. And from their cart at an event I once tried the buttered corn (ice cream, not the veggie) and it was delicious! Flavors rotate though so who knows what will be in the case next time. Something cold and delicious for sure! Afraid of a full scoop of new? They let you try samples. They scoop it up just inside the alley entrance, mere steps from a parking lot so don't worry about finding a spot out front. Look for the rainbow flags or streamers. Color marks the spot! No plastic here. Spoons are wooden and bowls are cardboard. Servers friendly, outgoing and well-schooled in their product.

Yelp
YUM! Maybe this is weird but my dream ice cream flavor is pretty much the taste of sweet butter and THIS PLACE PRETTY MUCH HAS THAT! "Sweet Browned Butter" and it was great. It's also a cutely quirky place and only uses good homemade ingredients. I had a spoon of the strawberry and it was also creamy deliciousness but somehow still fresh tasting. I want to go back and try the others! Also the place itself is a VIBE
