I had the oxtails over rice, the sweet potato, and cabbage. It was very seasoned and the food was good. I recommend coming and trying their variety of Southern variation of soul foods that they offer.

I had a great experience here. The service was top notch. I appreciate that they make most items from scratch as opposed to using processed vegan foods. The fried fish sandwich made from banana blossoms was divine and filling. It came with well seasoned fries. I also sampled the Salisbury steak and ribs made from seitan. They both had great texture, seasoning, gravy and sauce and were also delicious.

Ok so I have tired this place years ago in the past. Back then they were also doing vegan burgers and omg that burger was so darn good. My first time eating a vegan burger, but my only problem was how long it took to get it. Yes it was pack but I remember waiting a hour and some change. So fast forward to now. One morning while on social media this video popped up with one of the staff holding a heathy looking plate of vegan ox tails. I commented “dammit I’m on the way”. Baby when I got there the staff was friendly, the food look so good and my eyes were growing. The vegan ox tails were good, my first time trying them. The gravy with the rice and then greens and yams. I couldn’t eat it all in one sitting, so this was lunch and dinner. The cupcakes I didn’t like, they were very dry, I just couldn’t manage to keep that in my mouth. The lemonade juices was crazy good. I had peach. I will be returning to try more vegan items especially the smothered chicken.

A bit pricey, but very good southern style vegan food. The vegan Mac and Cheese was amazing. The collared greens were very good. We had Salisbury Steak and Fried Chicken as main dishes. Corn bread was just ok. Would go dinner roll next time.

I have always wanted to try the food at this place. I ordered the Salisbury Steak Platter and my Wife got the Smothered Chicken Platter. My initial impressions where the food is over priced. But after seeing the huge portions they give you I think the price is more in line. But should probably be adjusted to smaller portions and a little less cost. I do have to make a negative comment about the speed of the service. Everyone was nice and professional but they need to rethink how they serve their customers. Service was to slow for my taste. Now on to the good stuff, the food. The Salisbury steak was the best vegan meat I have ever eaten. A+ Mashed potatoes and cabbage where average. I tried my wife's mac and cheese and I thought this was also the best vegan mac and cheese I've ever had. Most vegan cheeses are not that great to me (I'm Vegeterian). The rolls we got with our food were hard. All in all an average experience for me. With some improvements on service and rolls it could be 4 stars.

Delicious food! I had the oxtails with rice, green beans, sweet potatoes, and roll. I was served enough for two meals. The customer service was excellent. The young lady took time to explain the menu and answer my questions. I was very pleased with the experience and food. Go Vegan Grill will definitely see me again!

Google
I think the best way to describe this place is careless. You will be fed. Nothing more, nothing less. They don’t seem to invest in the little extras that make a customer want to keep coming back. I’ve been trying with this place for yearsssss. In person… delivery… pickup… breakfast… lunch… dinner. I’ve tried time after time. The service is always underwhelming. The food is inconsistent in terms of item availability and flavors. I once had a good thing going with breakfast one time and they just stopped serving breakfast all together one day lol. I’ve received items a few times that were straight up inedible - over seasoned. I’m plant based and nearby so I really wanted this to be a regular experience for me but I have to throw in the towel. Today, I ordered the smothered chicken and gravy dish on delivery. My expectations aren’t super high when getting delivery but I would think it’s common sense to place the gravy in a separate container so that the fried chicken does not get soggy. That is apparently too much to ask. See image attached for how my smothered chicken arrived.

Google
I got the oyster fried mushroom, collards dressing, candied yams and cornbread. Everything was great the young man behind the counter had a great attitude.

Sharon M.

Yelp
The customer service is great. The young man who prepared my meal had a pleasant personality and was very patient while I contemplated my order. I was taking my meal to go so the ambiance was not an issue for me. I ordered the vegan "oxtails" with a side of mac/cheez and black eyed peas. I matched it up with a piece of cornbread. I also ordered the smothered vegan turkey chop over rice with collards and green beens, which was paired with a roll. As a separate side, I ordered potato salad. So, I am not a vegan or strictly on a plant based diet. I eat the food I like whether it has meat in it or not. So let's get to the business...the vegan oxtails were seasoned very nicely. The gravy was definitely on point. If you're a textural eater like me, you may not enjoy the actual oxtails to the fullest. I felt the same about the mac/cheez as the texture was too far off. However those black eyes peas were so freakin good. I loved that they had a bit of heat to them. I also really really liked the cornbread. I tasted the food off of the second plate. The smothered vegan turkey chop was seasoned right and that gravy was definitely on point. The texture of the "turkey" was more in line with like a Salisbury steak so I could work with the texture of it a bit better. Those collards and green beans were absolutely delicious. I even liked the roll. That potato salad I ordered was so good, I couldn't even believe that it was vegan. It was creamy and it was tangy. Ultimately, this is a good spot for anyone who has transitioned from meat. I believe if I was out of the meat eating game, the textural elements wouldn't have really mattered as I know there is no way non-meat/dairy items can mimic actual meat/dairy items to a tee. I hope this was helpful. I will definitely go back and try more dishes.

Yelp
This place is closed. Windows have paper in them. Website says this location is closed.

Yelp
Delicious food, friendly service! We got our lunches to go and the amounts were generous.

Diamond R.

Yelp
This place was a hidden Gem for me. My bro came into town and one of his clients catered their food. He wanted to go and get more directly from the store, which happened to be right around the corner from me. Let's just say this food was unexpectedly good. I've been trying to find new dishes to substitute out for the meat I've been consuming. They have a new found customer!

Autrey L.

Yelp
Food was very good..Vert nice customer service. Open on Sundays. Something different but tasteful.

Bp B.

Yelp
The website states the restaurant is open Sunday - Thursday 11am - 8pm. I came Sunday 3:30pm, and they were closed with no explanation. I used their catering for an event 3 years ago and came back into town today hoping to support the business again. I hope this is not a regular occurrence, but if a business can not open when they should, I question everything else. If there was an emergency, they should probably have posted it on the door or website for customers. All I see is a disregard for their customers. I gave them 2 stars because the food I had 3 years ago was really good.

Nisha M.

Yelp
Just found this place. Sooo glad I did‼‼‼ My first entree, I got smothered chicken, black eye peas, and yams. And everything was Gooooddd‼‼‼‼ Can't wait to go back‼

Yelp
Amazing food as always the food is from local farms which gives the best nutrition health and flavor. Very impressed and honest business that also does teaching classes. There's no doubt about where to eat if your vegetarian or vegan here is the best place to be!!!

Tiffany F.

Yelp
The food is good here, but ordering takeout in the restaurant is pretty confusing. I recommend ordering online. I guess they have some stuff cafeteria style and some you can order, and the cafeteria-style stuff comes with two sides, but the other stuff just comes with fries. But there are no signs or menus explaining all this and no labels on the buffet. I would think the employees would get annoyed with having to explain the system and tell people what all the food is. Also, when I arrived, most of the food was not on the buffet yet. What I ended up getting was good, but I wish I had known all the options before I ordered.

Chey C.

Yelp
I went about a year ago and I wasn't really a fan I decided to try again and the food was really good I got Salisbury steak, mash potatoes, greens and yams!

Raj F.

Yelp
The owner is extremely rude. I've eaten here MANY times and introduced this place to many friends and family. It was one of my favorite unhealthy vegan restaurants until my last visit. The only difference this time is that the owner was there. He literally yelled at me in-front of all the customers and staff because he didn't agree with my appearance. Of all the times I've eaten here, I was never ridiculed by any of his employees for the way I chose to express myself. It was embarrassing, belittling, and beyond disrespectful. I was devastated because I really loved and respected this business. I chose not to retaliate so I left and sadly I won't be returning. If you don't fit the aesthetic of an "acceptable person of color" then you aren't welcome here. I thought a black vegan soul food restaurant would be inclusive and progressive but GOD was I wrong.

Autumn H.

Yelp
I had the meatloaf and it was so good! the man who helped us was really nice ! would go back! I definitely recommend!

Kathryn L.

Yelp
The customer service, food preparation & overall consumption delight is declining. If it's not a 30 minute wait for something simple as wings to the push back on substitution requests & most of all not taking phone orders is a wash. C-19 is still ever present & just because the dining area is open, don't hinder ordering options for customers who are not comfortable to dine in. Kudos to the big container of Hand Sanitizer, yet the floor has been wet & dirty with a caution sign posted on my last few visits. & when unhappy go to online delivery right? Wrong, as I've tried to place two orders for delivery & both were canceled due to "Sorry, your order has been cancelled. Go Vegan Grill is too busy to take orders. You won't be charged." Really...too busy to make money in a sensitive economy? It's a wrap patronizing Go Vegan Grill.

Angela U.

Yelp
I want to eat more vegan and this spot is the best vegan food. The fried cauliflower is wonderful. The collards and Mac $ cheese is good. I feel better going vegan, this place helps transition you since the food is fresh, homemade bread, fresh squeezed juices! The customer services is exceptional. They make you feel life family!

Tara B.

Yelp
When you walk up to order, it's set up almost cafeteria style. All the Main Platters are pre-cooked and ready to be served. Comes with two sides and choice of dinner roll or cornbread. Today they had 6 different "meat" options available. I went with the ox tails because they looked amazing!! My plate: *Oxtails with onions and green peppers - the flavor of the dish was pretty tasty. The texture was a no go for me and it thew the whole dish off. I would have been good with the gravy and the vegetables. **I have to give the disclosure that I'm a southern girl who makes banging ox tails & I'm new to the vegan lifestyle. So take that as you may.** *Brown rice - I only ordered a little bit of this because I was watching my carb intake. Very undercooked and didn't taste like much. *Collard Greens - They cook them with diced tomatoes and these were yummy!! A little on the salty side, but I didn't mind it. I would have guess they were turnips by the cut but the menu said collards. Either way, delicious! *Green Beans - plenty of seasoning and cooked well. Very good side. *Dinner Roll - This is a huge piece of bread! I typically don't eat a good deal of bread but this was very good too. The bottom was very buttery and almost soggy. But not in a bad way, it complimented the rest of the roll. Bae's plate: *Smothered Turkey - Delicious!! The texture and taste of it was amazing! He ordered dirty rice with his abs it was really good! *Candied Yams - Also delish! Super sugary and sweet, like it's supposed to be. He also ordered collard greens. *Cornbread - great flavor like traditional southern cornbread but it was a bit on the dry side that day. Chicken Tenders - These were surprisingly amazing!! Possibly better than most chicken tenders I've had before. Didn't get to taste the fries but they both said they were really good. Out of honey mustard this day but their bbq sauce is legit! Nice smoked hickory flavor. Customer Service: I've read multiple reviews of how bad it was. That wasn't necessarily my experience. The staff weren't the friendliness of people but far from rude. On the other hand, they didn't give the welcoming vibe either. Service is extremely slow so if you're in a rush, visit another day. Even with the cafeteria style set up, it was at a turtle pace. We ordered tenders of the "Cook To Order" menu and expected to wait. I would think that 2 dishes from the main platters would be a quick fix, but no. Overall great place. They could use some tweaking to the business model but I'd definitely come back based on the food! Looking forward to trying some other options.

Ryann C.

Yelp
Wow!!! I'm not sure if enforce masks but there is some seating inside. We ordered : smothered fried chicken and gravy, it came with two sides any choice of brown or white gravy. I chose the Mack and cheese obviously because why would you ever not eat mac & cheese and yams . Honey hot wings and fries A lemonade Chocolate chip cookies My meat eater loved everything ! The staff was friendly , patient and answered every question I had about the menu I will be back to try the breakfast options.

Ana N.

Yelp
Short version, this is the prime example of unhealthy vegan! My entire family got sick from eating this food. We paid $60 to get food poisoning. The floors were sticky everywhere. The only good thing was the way we were greeted with a smile by the young lady up front. We were the only customers. I usually cook at home and wanted to treat my family and give myself a break. Big mistake... I had to nurse my daughter (who got it the worst of all of us). Never ever again. I wish I could give no or negative stars. Disappointed. Food taste: The Mac and cheese tastes like it was made the day before. Some of it had that rubbery feel. The cornbread tasted too sweet. And it seems like they go the extra mile with the oil. From the gravy to the rice. The meal just felt oily and nasty.

Mello ..

Yelp
OMG! The food is amazing!! Everything they make is vegan. It's like a touch of soul/Caribbean food but all vegan.... And I'm not even a vegan! The only one honest critique I have is the decor. It's dark and not appealing. I honestly almost walked out but I'm glad I stayed. The staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable which made me want to give them a shot. Fix the decor and your place would look almost as great as your food tastes providing a pleasant dine in experience.

Samantha M.

Yelp
This is hands down the best vegan food I have ever had. We tried some of everything and I honestly can't pick a favorite. The smothered turkey wing was amazing, the yams were perfect, the black eye peas were ridiculous. The juices are fresh and have chunks of fruit. If I lived closer I'd eat here once a week. Will be back next time I'm in town. Everyone was no nice too! I love it here.

Lakia W.

Yelp
I was very excited to eat here based on the reviews. I went on a Saturday around 6:30pm and the restaurant was mostly empty with the exception of one family seated and one person waiting for pickup. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. I asked the server what the most popular dish was and he recommended the Salisbury steak. I decided to add cabbage, baked beans and corn bread. The Salisbury steak did not taste good at all. The gravy was settling and there was so much oil. (You can see from the photo.) The cabbage was also VERY oily. The baked beans were the only saving grace. Even the corn bread was dry. I shared it with my children who love cornbread but they both were displeased. The fried shrimp was just okay. I wish they seasoned it more. The fried chicken strips were delicious! We were also disappointed that there was so salt on the fries at all but they came out piping hot and perfectly crispy. Overall, the food was just okay. I was expecting a lot more flavor for the price. The phone rang loudly, nonstop while we were there and I can't say that I heard them pick it up at all.

Yelp
Like other Yelpers, I stopped patronizing this restaurant some time ago, due to ridiculous wait times, regressing food quality and regular unavailability of menu items. However, one day I noticed it had a name change and a sign mentioning new menu and new management. But, that particular day the restaurant was booked for a party and was only doing to-go orders. I decided to leave and return another day. Months later, I am in the area and decide to order to-go over the phone. I call in and order the Shrimp and Grits only to be told they are not available after 5p. Even though the online menu states it is available after 5p. Then I inquire about their cheese, because the menu on their website states soy free. Only to be told it is soy based. What?! I inform the lady on the phone that their online menu needs to be updated. She did not respond well to that. As a result, I ended up ordering the mozzarella sticks and grilled shrimp tacos platter with flour tortillas. Also, strawberry cake. Thank goodness the food made up for my ordering experience. The mozzarella sticks were crunchy, gooey, yet a little too salty. A Grilled shrimp tacos platter. Freshly prepared, plenty of shrimp, onions, peppers and flavor. The only miss was that the french fries had no salt on them. A Strawberry cake. It seemed familiar to me, like I've had it at another bakery, but this one was super moist. A+ Go Vegan Grill offers large portions, but their appetizers are overpriced. They are the same price as entrees yet much less food. I would eat here again. The inside is also much more spacious now. A million times for comfortable to eat-in.

Danielle A.

Yelp
Wowwww ! Perfect word to describe this place. The food is absolutely delicious! My friend who is non-vegan decided on this restaurant on my behalf but also thought they had regular chicken. Jokes on her. LOL she was honestly surprised how good the food was. She had a supreme omelette platter and I had a morning breakfast platter. She said her omelette was great. She loved how crisp The outside was and she said the jalapeños with the spinach was great. My breakfast was wonderful. My favorite was the tofu scramble. I've never had tofu scramble that delicious. The pancakes were great. I mean I honestly have no complaints. I drive pass this place every day for work and I'm honestly disappointed in myself for never stopping in after being vegan for three years. Definitely give this place a try. And it's easy on the pocket which is always great.

Shirice L.

Yelp
This restaurant was listed on a blog that I follow. My heart was set on Slutty Vegan, but they were closed on the Sunday that I came to the Atlanta area. When we walked in, we weren't immediately greeted(12/20/2020). The employees weren't wearing masks or either not wearing them properly. There was chaos as far as who was doing what. There wasn't any clear structure; cooks were up front on their phones, front staff was running back and forth to the back bringing back conflicting stories, etc. When I informed them that I had questions, they were addressed which I did appreciate. I ordered the ATL Philly. It was dry. I had to go back inside to request the mayo that was supposed to be on the sandwich. Once I added it, it was edible. I ordered a side of cornbread which was tasty. I ordered the mango fresa which was definitely amazing! My sister ordered the ATL funk burger. It was made incorrectly after a 15-20 minute wait. They offered to remake it which we gladly accepted. The remake was trash. Definitely won't be returning for that. I was super disappointed in the fries because they were soggy. This place has potential but right now it isn't a winner.

Heidi T.

Yelp
Man! This place rocked my socks!! Such a great vegan experience. Everything I tasted was delicious. We had the collard greens, Mac and cheese, chickn strips, sweet potatoes, cornbread and strawberry cake to top it off. My least favorite things were the cornbread and strawberry cake. Both were pretty dry and hard. The strawberry cake is overpriced--$7 per slice. No ma'am. But everything else was delicious. Might I also add that the Mac and cheese is made without nuts! Most places use cashew cheese as the supplement. Idk how they do it, but they do it RIGHT!! I'll definitely visit again. So freaking good!

Katie H.

Yelp
The food here is so varied and rich. It definitely satisfies cravings. The best items are: mashed potatoes, greens, Mac and cheese, tofu, Salisbury steak, chicken tenders The worst items are: corn bread and rolls. Skip it and DIY at home it's so cheap and easy

Margaret B.

Yelp
Best vegan comfort food I've ever had. Black- owned business- make every Friday Black Friday by supporting black-owned businesses!

Tinesha J.

Yelp
I'm not a vegan nor am I a vegetarian, I'm a lover of great food. My sister, who is a vegan, introduced me to this restaurant a few years ago, and I've fallen in love with it. It's very easy to find when taking the 285 Decatur exit and there is always parking (free btw). I always stick to the chicken dishes...the chicken biscuit is better than any other chicken biscuit I've ever had! The chicken and waffles is to die for and the maple chicken is MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!!! Last but not least, the chicken dinner with mashed potatoes is just scrumptious!!! Walking in, I see they've made some major changes and the restaurant is much bigger. There was no wait and we were seated immediately. On this occasion, we stopped in for breakfast and I ordered the chicken and waffles and my sister got the omelet. The chicken was crispy (as always) and the waffle was fluffy with just the right crisp. My sister's omelet tasted like the real deal. We normally get dessert if we come for lunch. Try their cheesecake or chocolate cake, I can assure you that you will not be disappointed.

Nicola L.

Yelp
Ok, I've been here several times but today was the age of reckoning for breakfast. Folks, hurry, run come dine here. Let's break this down. Tons of parking because they are in a plaza. They moved several doors down so if you've been here before and you feel disoriented, no worries. Their new space is larger and had great potential for more decor. Still nice as is. Food is made to order but wait time is reasonable. Staff is pleasant and not overbearing. I'm always suspicious of places that the staff are asking sooo many questions. I wonder if they don't believe in the food. Hmmmm Anyway the signature supreme omelet is awesome and creative. They don't whip up some fluffy concoction from out of a science movie. It is soy curds!!! Mind blown. I've had soy curds before never considered making an omelet. The texture is yum. Now the other mind blowing mouth explosion was I ordered a chicken strips. Friends it shreds and holds the batter wonderfully. Flavor is good. Could of been less salty, but still good. Love this place, people and kudos on the food. Guys they close at 9 so hurry, bring an empty belly and money and come dine. They are reasonably priced as well.

Si'mone H.

Yelp
I'm have usually had some good experiences here, however today I specifically called around 7:15 to make sure that they were open and to ask what time they closed because today is a holiday. The lady on the phone politely told me 9pm. I then got dressed and drove 25 mins only to arrive at the restaurant at 8:15 to the doors already being locked. With the open sign still on, but no one answered the door. I really don't appreciate wasting my gas after calling first to specifically avoid this same outcome. Definitely bad business.

Devin C.

Yelp
I couldn't believe the food wasn't vegan. Great customer service.Food serving was a good size. The taste and the texture were spot on

Kimberly-Nicole T.

Yelp
GO TO GRASS VBQ INSTEAD. I may have written a raving review about this place a long time ago, but here is an update. I really try to support my black owned business and I try giving them chance after chance to mess up and get it right. After all, funding is different for black businesses and they are trying to help a local community. In this instance, I've eaten at go vegan grill about 7 times this year, and I have something negative to say about each trip. If you must go here, only order food that is cooked to order and be prepared to wait for sixty minutes, as time doesn't exist in this place. If you come to eat at the hot bar, also be prepared to wait because you must have all day. The food will probably be old or overcooked because it's sitting in hot pans all day. Every piece of bread I've ever gotten from here is hard as a brick. For today though, I went in with the intention of eating at the hot bar. There was one lonely girl (sweet as pie, but slow as a sloth) working the hot bar. There were only six of us in line, and it took her 35 minute to make all of our plates! Meanwhile, the manager is just chatting away with this lady instead of helping the line girl get the line down. The cashier is running back and forth from the front and back while customer's whose food was ready, had to wait to pay. Finally get my food, I had a credit from a previous trip so I paid the difference and went to my car to grub. THE FOOD WAS GARBAGE. As expected, bread was hard, but the Mac was bland, the wings tasted old, and the peach cobbler almost made my vomit. It tasted like mothballs mildew with a hint of peach. Me being a southern woman was about to stomp in there in go Atlanta in them, but I decided to write this review and I feel so much better!! Now - if you, Go Vegan Grill, are reading this, please feel free to consult with me. I can help you update your business and customer service models. You can't expect anybody to wAnt to support your business if you're doing a poor job of running it. Excel, don't fail.

Adam S.

Yelp
The food is absolutely amazing. The staff are great and place is very clean. I would definitely recommend this place to someone vegan or not.

Brandon B.

Yelp
This is maybe my 4th, or 5th, time here. And today's visit really irritated me. The ordering process is enough to annoy you. They have 1 line for sit down & to-go orders. After every patron orders, the order taker has to walk away. I don't understand the purpose of giving your drink order to the order taker, only for a crew member to walk up and ask, "what did you have to drink?" Then, she brings drinks with no straws. Where are they hiring these people? They have too many crew members just standing/walking around. The hip hop/R&B music playing, I feel, is too loud to have playing. And the loud music only makes the people inside the building, talk louder - therefor making it loud/noisy in this small space And these flies (and gnats)... like, seriously? When are they going to do something about the flies flying around the restaurant. To the point that the women, behind the counter, are swatting at them. -------------- Didn't realize I never posted my last review. UPDATED 07/23/20 FYI: THE FOOD HERE IS REALLY GOOD. This place STILL gets on my nerves. I placed the order via UberEats and it told me the time for pickup. I get to the restaurant AFTER pickup time and I ask about my order, only to see them making it right in front of me. "Oh! Your order will be ready in 5 minutes," the cashier said. If that isn't bad enough. I then get told, "umm.. yea. The greens aren't ready yet, would you like to try another green?" WTF!?! No sorry for the inconvenience; would you like a complimentary....? NOTHING! Smh. This is the most "hoodest" "ghettoest" place I've ever been to. I try to support black owned and operated business, but this place makes my kneecaps itch. The unprofessionalism is sickening. After reading all of this, I bet you're wondering, "why are you still going?" Good question. By me being a strict vegetarian, I risk the exposure to cross contamination. I know this is a place where I know the food is "safe." This will be my absolute last time patronizing this rude ass establishment. Was told my order would be ready at 2:35 PM, and I walked out at 2:59 PM. Wow! Yea.. the last time.

Gail W.

Yelp
Slow as molasses in winter My daughter said her food (meatloaf) was disappointing. She said it barely made it. I had mystery meat posing as vegan ribs. NEVER again. The overall experience was disappointing, and the rolls were hard. I asked myself WHY? Why did I stop here thinking it would be enjoyable? Why oh why???? Never again!

Margaret A.

Yelp
If you were looking for amazing Southern style, vegan food with super friendly service on the side, this is the place for you. Free parking and conveniently located off of Lawrenceville Highway and the Goodwill shopping center. They have amazing sides and a dish of the day. Give it a try you won't be disappointed.

Clifton S.

Yelp
Staff was very friendly but the meal itself was not good. Too much sugar in the cornbread, the "shrimp " was not that tasty but did taste a bit like shrimp. The black eyed peas had an unpleasant flavor. The green beans were good but the kicker was the cost. For lunch a cost of $24 is WAY too much.

Tanya J.

Yelp
This place is a vegan/vegetarian's dream!! I had a few friends visit from out of town that have those dietary restrictions. We loved it so much that we came here for thee days straight!! I'm an omnivore, and I was very impressed with the "meat" inspired dishes. The fried chicken was to die for, the steak and cheese was amazing, the fried fish was delicious, and the steak bit plate was so good!!! Every meat option tasted VERY close to the real thing. I was shook. LOL. We all chose the cornbread with our meals, and it was a bit dry, but the garlic maple syrup went perfectly on top of it. The reason for 4 stars is because after a certain time they run out of options. Our first night there was a little frustrating because they were out of a lot of things, but the way the food tasted made up for everything! Even if you're not vegan or vegetarian, check this place out. You will NOT be disappointed!

Yelp
First Thoughts : It was easy to find cause it's in a big shopping center next to Goodwill. I thought the place need a facelift cause the front door area look like they sold Asian food and their sign was simple. I wasnt able to go inside to take a look so can't give you an input on how the interior looked. There's plenty of parking and a lot of other stores to shop at. Service : This was my first time and I was ordering over the phone because you can't order inside the restaurant. My server Taylor was very nice and patient with me. I couldnt decide on what to order but she recommended me the Philly Cheese Steak Platter (Vegan). Upon arrival doors were locked because it was curbside only. She had me sign she had gloves on but no facemask and no hand sanitizer. Wait Time : 10 minutes Food : I gotten the Philly Cheese Steak Platter substituted the fries for Mac N Cheese. The bread was so soft and fluffy that it made it different from the other philly sandwiches I ever had but it was sweet and it went well with the vegan steak meat. I still dont understand how this is vegan cause it really taste like meat so tasty and seasoned well. They also topped it with green bell peppers, onion and vegan cheese. Also gave me some white sauce but I think it was vegan mayo. Overall Experience : I wanted to get more pictures and more food but they had shrunk the menu due to the Covid-19 so I could order and breakfast menu or a lot of the burgers that they had on the menu. It looks like they only stuck too what was their best seller and that's the only thing you can choose from so for that I'm only giving a 4 star. But the food was great and I love trying new places hopefully my next visit you'll have everything.

Yelp
So we came here because they actually have a vegan breakfast menu. We get here and we actually see lunch food, not a problem cause we saw Mac and cheese so we were sold. I ordered the grilled shrimp with peppers, greens, Mac n cheese and the salmon patties. My friend got the Salisbury steak, yams, Mac n cheese and greens. 1. The food overall was okay. It wasn't nasty or delicious it was just okay. 2. The food was warm not hot. No one should get food that temperature, and honestly it might have made the food taste better. The Mac needed more seasoning but had great texture. The greens taste too much like tomatoes. The salmon patties taste like uncooked dough. The steak and the yams were really good. Overall I would eat here again but maybe would try different things

Yelp
So I'm 100% sure I've found a new go to spot. I'm newly vegan (6 months) and this place just blew every other place out of the water. I ordered the pancake platter, it came with 2 pancakes, tofu scramble and vegan sausage. I added a side of cheese grits. The pancakes are amazing, light and fluffy. The tofu scramble surprised me because i usually don't enjoy it but this was the most flavorful stuff i e ever tasted. Sausage and grits were good as well. Wait time for a table was about 15 minutes, staff was friendly, parking was easy and food was great.

Yelp
Highlight: Usually, most vegan restaurants are Asian in origin since the products are soy products, which is native to Asian cuisine. For example, Vegreen, a vegan restaurant in Duluth, GA is a Chinese cuisine that has imitation steaks and imitation meats. Go Vegetarian's food is Southern Comfort Vegan which impressed me since the meal was delicious and it's hard to believe half the time that one is not eating the original eggs, chicken, or bacon since the cooking techniques and flavoring were adequate. We ordered the Fried chicken with collard greens and macaroni and cheese and the pancakes with bacon. The service is good once you're seated- may take a while to sit since they are super popular and busy. I give them a 5/5 for their innovation, taste of food, vision, and uniqueness. Was impressed that taste and quality was not sacrificed despite being soy based. What we ordered: Fried Chicken with collard greens and macaroni and cheese. The fried chicken was very impressive- KFC qualify, moist and succulent and has the fried skin part. It even looked anatomically possible to come from a chicken- arched muscle like parts- looked like a legit chicken tender. The collard greens were cooked southern style- stewed w/ bacon (bacon is also vegan). The macaroni and cheese was vegan (likely a cashew or nut based cheese product) and tasted like a baked product. The Pancakes and bacon dish- pancake was not your typical fluffy baking powder stuff one gets from Waffle House, but had a chewier texture- not sure if they skipped baking powder, substituted w/ coconut milk, etc but they had a rice powder- mochi like taste- goes wonderfullly with their syrup. The eggs are tofu based- yellow and stained likely w/ turmeric to get that warm yellow and had the texture of scrambled eggs. The bacon was vegan- they even made the striations to truly complete the "bacon look" and the crisp was like a fried bacon taste. The crowd- had a hipster, 80's vibe with Afro centric themes and edgy urban diner feel. Great service with refills on time and clearing of platters.

Yelp
We had the Buffett and todays special was Oxtail. Say what?? It was spot on and TOTALLY VEGAN. My husband and I thought the collards were some of the best we've ever tasted. This is a family owned business and they completely nailed the food. Not much atmosphere inside. Needs a decorating upgrade inside but the food, delicious!!

Yelp
When I go onto yelp I saw so many good reviews that when we went to Atlanta we thought this was a must eat. I will say we were very disappointed with the outcome. Ordered at 7:10pm and the food didn't get to us until 9:15pm...I truly wish I was joking but it took 2 hours...the food was cold. We ordered the smothered chicken gravy. Smothered is definitely the wrong word because there was barely any gravy on it. We also ordered the mushroom steak...It's clearly a beyond patty with no mushroom in it. We ordered a side of green beans--What we got was green beans and potatoes they shoved in there because they clearly ran out of green beans and thought hey let's just throw potatoes in there they won't mind even though we already had another side of mashed potatoes. I don't mind if you wanna slide potatoes in to help but you did not bother to discount us on those green beans. It is in fact what we asked for. Oh and we were supposed to get two rolls and never got them in our bag. Icing on the cake..they give you an option..do you want silverware? We added it to our cart. You guessed it...they obviously did not put them in our bag! Don't worry we thankfully were at a hotel that we brought our own I would not recommend it to anyone and on our travels it was the worst meal we had.

Yelp
The food here is amazing. It's definitely top three vegan cook food within the Atlanta area/Decatur. The service here is wonderful the ladies up front Jasmine and Hoshi. I also met the head chef. He's amazing guy. The ambience is definitely family vibes.

Yelp
Food- 3/5 Customer service- 1/5 Menu-2/5 I want like this place, however the customer service here is horrible and they are very inconsistent. I won't order from here again. I've visited the restaurant 2 times and I've ordered online 3 times via Postmates. I've ordered the Philly Cheese steak every time. The first 3 times it's had the white cheese. On Postmates the picture of there Philly has white cheese. I specifically requested to not put the yellow cheese on my Philly. It doesn't taste well at all and Philly almost never come with yellow cheese. When I received my order it was yellow cheese on my Philly. The amount of frustration that I have is unmeasurable. It's more to the story and I'm just too fed up to write the entire situation. Soul Veg is far out but it's definitely worth the drive.

Yelp
It's hard being Vegan in Georgia. I came in to this location planning to spend $150 lol I was excited to try EVERYTHING!! But before I could all I got was horrible customer service and attitude from the management. A family came in, right in front of my girlfriend and I. They took a little long to order and when it was finally our turn to order we asked for breakfast. The reply was "its 10 minutes past 12" so no, you can't. No maybe just a solid no. I then explained to the worker that we had been in and in line for the last 15 minutes. She gets the manager which come out WITH OUT A MASK and says I can only order from the food line. All in all bad energy and not the kind of place that makes you want to pay the high prices for these meals! Definitely a no for me!

Yelp
This place has been this hole I. The wall for vegan comfort foods for years. I stopped going when it was at the old location a few stores down when I seen cockroaches running down the wall. They were called Go Vegetarian back then. They moved to a new location. The old chinese restaurant, revamped, cleaned things up so I gave them a try again. Restaurant has been hit or miss over the past few times I've been there. On one visit my daughter ordered Mac and cheese we waited 30 plus minutes for food and they came and told us they are out of Mac and cheese when we finally got our food. Restaurant wasn't busy at all. About 5 minutes later the table next to us all had Mac and cheese, they came in after us. I did ask the wait staff why they got Mac and cheese but we did not? I used to take my dad here for lunch or breakfast but lately that's just tons of oil to flavor the food. Tofu scramble was so drenched in oil I couldn't even eat it. Chicken biscuits dry, and no taste. The hash browns for 4$ were burnt and 2 bites. Today my husband and dad went for breakfast the omelette is burnt, grits drenched in oil, and biscuit was raw. The only thing they are consistently good at is Long wait times, running out of food, and horrible food. I am sorry I cannot even over look this anymore. Every time you say something or others stop going because of the same issues they get a new manager, or. Change something but it just goes right back down the hill. Many other good vegan breakfast spots Good Karma, Dulce Vegan heck 4$ for a double order of hash browns at Waffle House is better. No more excuses Go Veg clean it up or just close.

Yelp
I visited this place today after reading so many great reviews and what can I say, the food is great! So I ordered 2 entrees mainly because I didn't know when I would return again but also because I couldn't decide. I ordered the spicy steak taco with fries and the buffalo chicken fingers wit vegan mac and cheese and collards. The steak taco was amazing! So amazing and it's topped with their house lime sauce. Just so tasty! The fries were very good too. I tasted one chicken finger which was bomb! It's taking everything out of me right now to not eat my lunch for tomorrow. I couldn't believe how much they tasted like the real thing! The little taste of collards made my heart feel at home. Now the vegan mac and cheese... I'm not too sure about that. That might not be my thing yet, but it might be for somebody else so definitely try it you want! The place is located in a shopping center next to a nail salon. It's a tiny little place that I thought was kinda cute with the pics on the wall and their soft music playing. I guess they were short staffed today (Sunday around 3:30pm) because there was a wait toseated while their were about 3 empty tables. I ordered my food to go and it took about 20 min. This is definitely a must try if you're looking for some food to touch your soul! I'm not sure how busy they are any other day, but I will say that it will be worth your wait.

Yelp
Very clean, friendly staff. Wish the price point for meals were more reasonable. Defiantly will be back.

Yelp
I went here during the weekend of 3/21/21 and ordered the Salisbury steak and rice with a separate side of candied yams. When I got in the house I took a bite of the yams and noticed that they tasted like they were straight out of the can, but when I went to take another bite, I saw string beans in the yams. The restaurant was closed by this time, so there was nothing I could do at that point. I called the restaurant today (3/22/21) and let a male employee know what happened and that I have pictures as well and was told there was "nothing they can do once the food is taken home" but if I come by and he is there he might be able to throw in a side, which is crazy. You don't know if anyone has any food sensitivities or allergies and I explained this to the employee I spoke with and he said there is nothing they can do. This type of situation could lead to a lawsuit. Customer service goes a long way and the employee I spoke with was very nonchalant. Hopefully moving forward, they learn how to deal with matters like this.
