Gobong Chicken

Tasty food. I had 4 flavors of boneless wings. KRISPY, Honey, Soy, and Cheese. I will say Honey was probably best followed by Soy. Cheese was very unique, like a cheese doodle, but it's chicken. I like it, but you might not want that as a main dish, but a great side with some beer. Nothing wrong with Krispy. The boneless wings were very large, expect larger than a typical restaurant.

I got the sweet and spicy chicken Wings, onion rings, fries ,and Cole slaw. My family loved it. It's flavorful and crispy. Customer service was very kind. This will be our new spot for wings.

Ordered take out for the first time. Counter service upon pick-up was excellent. The cashier was very fast and friendly. It’s a small place inside. I would recommend take-out. The food is very unique tasting, most of it being sweet. We ordered the crispy chicken sandwich, Cheese Tteokbokki (Korean pasta), sweet and spicy wings, regular fries and cheese sprinkle fries. The cheese sprinkles fries had a sweet flavor. The wings were more sweet than spicy. It wasn’t really for me but I recommend you give it a try and experience the uniqueness for yourself.

Just moved in the area. Was looking for a really good wing spot. I have to say Gobong did not disappoint. Far exceeded expectations actually. These wings were amazing. Seems like a small family establishment. Father and very young son took and prepared my order. I will support moving forward as I am a wing fanatic.

I had no idea Honey Butter chicken was missing from my life, until my sister brought home a box filled with boneless, crunchy, Sweet n Savory breaded morsels of chicken heaven . The owners are wonderful too. It is Asian type of food(Korean/Japanese etc..). Opened til 10pm is a blessing for me. They also Do NOT Upcharge you a fee or percentage if you pay by credit card unlike 95% of the restaurants today.

The Soy Garlic mixed combo was little saucier than I would have liked, but it was good enough to make me forget to take pictures. Their radish cubes are really good too.

Friend shared a piece of chicken here with me and was impressed by the quality of the korean fried chicken and decided to take a trip myself and order a large one myself to splurge. Chicken crust- the crispness is beyond anything i tasted. This is their specialty- oven and fried due to possibly- its excellent Chicken sauce- ordered the spicy and i think i had better sauce. This was more sweeter than spicy for sure. I noticed alot of comments where people want spicy but this place sauce isnt spicy and i agree. Chicken itself- i am not sure 🤔 if the pieces were too big but the boneless chicken meat was alittle dry. I remember last time being more juicy. Freshness- it cant be fresher- seems fried at the end to order. Staff are so friendly- small business ❤️ Regardness this place is worth a visit.

Two years later and their spicy soy garlic chicken wings are my favorite!! No place compares. Ordered them yesterday and couldn't get over how good this place is. I've been to a ton of wing spots, and this place still sits at #1

First time here and it won't be the last. Owner operated very friendly owner. Wings are very flavorful and extra crunchy. Boneless chicken also extra crunchy and flavorful. You do get a lot for your money where else can you get 10 wings for $13. We had boneless honey butter and soy garlic wings with a side of great cheese fries not your ordinary cheese fries they had a sweet salty taste sounds strange but excellent.

The food and service was awesome. The honey butter mixed piece was amazing. I liked the soy garlic and the plain is also great. The crunch on this chicken was unbelievable.

If you love Korean Fried Chicken then this place has what you crave. The Sweet and Spicy drumsticks are almost sinfully good and the Cheese sprinkle version is just as delectable but a little less messy. Nice people, clean shop and easy parking. Zero ambiance but who cares...your take out order will be ready in 15-20 minutes and in no time you can be home, curled up on your couch, watching K-Dramas and munching on this delicious treat.

Tried it a second time. Still okay. Got soy garlic sauce but it was on the sweet side. Nothing savory in anything I got. Radish and coleslaw also very sweet. This time I tried bone in mixed - lots of batter and not much chicken. Sandwich was good but again too much sweet sauce. Overall the lunch specials are a good quick meal priced well but it's not a place I would wanna go over and over again.

Great chicken, size, taste, price all outstanding. Favorite is cheese sprinkle. I would recommend it if you are daring for bold flavors.

There are several Korean chicken spots in very close proximity to Gobong. Others are good but Gobong is GREAT! My husband and I were desperate for something quick, affordable, and delicious during our busy work week and saw Gobong pop up on UberEats. The pricing was great, we saw other positive reviews, so we decided to try. We got the boneless chicken (sweet and spicy) and the bone in wings (honey butter). We also ordered some fries. We were both very happy with our meal. The chicken was crunchy but tender and the fries were nice and crispy. Everything was packaged well! Now that I am making this review, I will be ordering again tonight! We can't wait to try other flavors and visit in person.

The chicken was so good! The service was amazing. Overall, i highly recommend this place.

Absolute "must try" if you love Korean styled chicken. We ordered spicy soy garlic wings and plain fried chicken wings with two sauces on the side: Honey Butter - which is easily my favorite of all. Sweet & Spicy Everything was incredibly fresh and the chicken was SO cripsy yet incredibly moist. The plain wings don't have much flavor to them so you definitely will want to add a sauce on top or to dip in. This is a hidden gem in Carlstadt and we will definitely be back.

So happy that a Korean fried chicken place opened up near me. I got the wings here (plain, spicy soy garlic) and the wings were very big and I thought the skin on the plain wings were so crispy...easily one of the best in the area. The soy garlic sauce tasted a bit too sweet so I don't know if they put the wrong sauce on by accident but I would personally just stick with the original and maybe ask for sauce on the side since the skin is so crispy. I thought the prices here were noticeably lower than the other Korean fried chicken places so that's a huge plus. This place is defintely a family run business as you see two little children helping out where they can and the entire family is super nice. Looking forward to support this well-run business and eating more delicious fried chicken!

New Business on the strip. It is worth checking it out. The food tastes incredible. Order ahead, so you do not have to wait. This is my second visit, and I will be returning.

best fried chicken around. Perfectly fried and super flavorful. The size of the drumsticks took me by surprise as well. they were pretty massive for drumsticks. also ordered a bunch of their bubble teas and pretty much everyone enjoyed their bubble teas. This place is currently my goto fried chicken place now.

This is a really great Korean fried chicken restaurant. The chicken is very crispy, and the flavors to choose from are outstanding. I had the spicy soy garlic wings, and the honey butter wings. I was hesitant to try the honey butter because it's not usually a flavor I go for, but the kid at the register recommended it when I asked, and omg it was good! Prices are reasonable, and chicken is out of this world good. You can dine in, but the ambiance is more geared for take out. It's definitely worth checking this place out, you won't be disappointed.

Can't really go wrong with any of the flavors! The staff is super friendly and the store itself is very clean. Will be coming back regularly for sure

Amazing chicken. We went with the soy garlic with fries, pickled radish, and Cole slaw on the side. Fresh chicken, fries were crispy, and you get so much food for your money. Will be back!

Picked up dinner tonight...it was so good!!!! Portions are generous and chicken was cooked to perfection! The owner and his son were so polite! I will be going back! Give this place a try!!

Ordered 60 pieces of wings. Fried (original), sweet & spicy (traditional Korean style sauce), and soy garlic. All were flavorful and the wings were decently sized. Fav was the fried wings. Batter is super crunchy and not overly salty. Great with a dab of Tabasco. Great Korean chicken spot in a quaint neighborhood! Will order again when in the area.

Amazing but NO DELIVERY choice at all? ITS 2022 You can get a Popsicle delivered but can't get this excellent food.

This is the best fried chicken I've had in awhile. I had the spicy soy garlic and the honey butter flavors. Soy garlic was excellent, but I've never had a honey butter wing before and wow, it was so good. Everything was clearly made to order and was so piping hot and crispy. The place itself is clean and service was quick and easy. I'll definitely be returning.

Newly opened korean chicken shop near me... decided to give it a try. Delicious chicken, affordable price, and great customer service. So worth it! Highly recommend the honey butter chicken, the best! Will definitely keep coming back for more

Kids love chicken katsu and chicken teriyaki. The portions are good. Try the garlic chicken first time and it was crunchy and saucy. Next time will try plain ... Family business but wish they kept it a bit cleaner up front. Floor and bathroom needs a good scrubbing.

This place is so awesome! My kids love it!! My wife has extreme acid reflux and can enjoy this place without any issues! The staff is extremely friendly! The prices aren't bad either! Definitely a go to spot when in the area...

We have ordered takeout 2x from here the past 2 weeks and both times have been amazing. Pickup was in 20 mins and the food was still hot and fresh by the time we got home. The chicken is fried to perfection and the sauces (spicy soy garlic and sweet & spicy) were super flavorful. Will continue to order and trying different things from the menu. 10/10

we ordered a whole fried chicken, cole slaw, pickled radishes and fries.. the chicken was delicious, nice n crispy - but there is no way this was a whole chicken...it is cut up into pieces...we had alot of drumsticks .. a few wings and very little breast meat.. cole slaw and radishes were good fries were mushy...
