One of the best Indian meals I’ve had in a long time! This place truly serves authentic Andhra-style cuisine—no shortcuts, just real flavors. The chicken fry + pulao combo is an absolute must-try: spicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Every bite tasted like home-style Andhra cooking. The veg Manchurian was another standout—crispy, well-seasoned, and surprisingly addictive. Great portions, bold flavors, and a very satisfying experience overall. Will definitely be coming back!

While Godavari has been around for a while, it was new to me... and a delicous experience. Plenty of parking too! Sunday afternoons offer a $25 all you can eat vegetarian and non-veg menu with loads of choices of each. Labeled tags with descriptions allow for easy selections. This was a great way to try a little bit of everything. The food was tasty and not overly spicy. We tried the achars and pickles that were a great addition. Chai is part of the buffet too! I will say they heavily push the buffet, making it seem that ordering off the menu will take up to 45 minutes. However, we saw those who ordered from the menu get their food in half that time. Great ambiance, although a little hectic through the buffet!

Update 2: Went for the weekday lunch buffet priced at $18.99. For the price, don’t expect a huge variety, but the taste of most dishes really stood out. The buffet included rice options like white rice, lemon rice, veg biriyani, chicken biriyani, mutton biriyani, curd rice, and pongal. Curries and sides included corn Manchurian, Afghan chicken, dragon chicken, Telangana chicken curry, mutton curry, eggplant, cabbage thoran, veg cutlet, and paneer butter masala. Desserts were sabudhana payasam, fruit custard, and gulab jamun, with tea and lemonade as drinks. Pros: Despite the limited spread, the flavor was excellent overall. Corn Manchurian, Afghan chicken, and veg biriyani were the highlights. I appreciated that the chef personally came to my table to inform me when an item was refilled after it had run out. Cons: Service needs to be more prompt. Several items were left empty for too long, which frustrated multiple customers—refills should happen before trays are completely empty. The tea tasted good but was barely coming out of the flask, possibly due to a clog or it being almost finished. There were no live counters, and naan was the only bread available. Unfortunately, it was very thin and dry, almost like crackers, and didn’t pair well with the curries. Overall, a great place to dine in. Update 1: Ordered Telangana Kodi Chicken Korma and garlic naan for pickup, and everything was excellent. The chicken korma was incredibly tasty and truly felt like a comforting home-style meal. The garlic naan was just right too, with the perfect thickness. Pickup was smooth and hassle-free.

Good Indian buffet. Specially from brand Godavari. Tandoori chicken stands out with flavors. Appetizers were good. Rice items are very bland. They should work on more flavors at least of they want to attract more than employees working in tech. Overall, can visit once in a while if you are craving an Indian buffet.

Happy to find a place in where I can order dosa, so good! The other dishes were full of flavor and felt genuinely authentic. Nothing fancy upscale, just down-to-earth Indian cooking. Came here for dinner and glad to see many Indian families dining here too. It just gives you confidence you’re getting the real thing.

Hey everyone, this place is for real! Extensive lunch buffet with good South Indian food, Andhra style. I mean, where are you going to get homemade Gongura pickle? And cutting chai to top it all off? Highly recommend, lucky South Denverites!

About as perfect an expression of an Indian meal you can get. We went during dinner on a weekday and ordered a la carte. If you're worried about not getting as much food as the lunch buffet, fear not. The portions are massively generous. All the staple South Indian dishes are executed solidly--fragrant and searing hot fresh. In particular, the texture of the Gadwal Special Dosa was flawless. It's exactly the airy crispy texture you expect from the platonic ideal of a dosa. The Telangana Mamsam Korma was also rich and satisfying, but the Godavari sambar porridge rice was a hearty, soul nourishing dish that one would want on a cold night. As for the service, it's a friendly, homely affair. You're treated as though you're a regular, even if it's your first time. I never got the name of our server, but she was wearing the pink shirt and her giant smile could light up a room.

We were recommended to try Godavari’s weekend buffet. It was pretty busy Saturday afternoon. There was a good variety of food. I would say the food was just ok. One thing I would say is the curry had chicken with bones in it. It’s challenging because there were small fragments in the curry which was a bit difficult to deal with.

First, let me tell you how much I love Indian food: not only do I eat it probably once a week, but I had an Indian buffet at my wedding, featuring a goat chattinad curry among other things. I've been to probably every Indian restaurant in Denver, and this is my new favorite! - Super affordable! Large meat curries and biryanis are under $20. And there's an amazing lunch buffet, $18 weekdays and $25 weekends (with 40+ options)! - I have never seen an Indian menu this extensive. It's definitely the biggest one in Denver. After all the Indian food I've eaten, I honestly am surprised (and excited) when I see this many things on a menu that I don't know! I love trying new dishes! - Choose from vegetable, cheese, fish, shrimp, chicken, baby goat, or lamb options for all their main dishes! - AMAZING GOAT CURRY! I asked to try something unique, since I already know and love vindaloo and chettinad. The Andhra Mamsam Koora is like a spicy goat in a thick gravy. WOW WOW WOW! Would come back for this alone. - So many great options here that are vegetarian and gluten-intolerant friendly. I could easily eat a vegetarian meal here myself and leave happy. And I love when places have dosas (which are thin, crispy crepes made of lentil and rice flour), because it's a great gluten-free alternative to naan (which they also have).

Food: we ordered shrimp biryani; masala onion dosa; and a chat. We aren't really used to or familiar with Southern Indian food. We certainly have eaten more than our share of northern Indian food. We thought the things we ordered were just OK. Probably our favorite was the chat. Service: our waitress didn't seem like she wanted to be working in this restaurant. She never asked if we needed more water. She didn't deliver the chai that we ordered. We felt ignored by her. Ambience: the physical plant is very large with abundant seating. No real complaints about it but I would say the setting is OK.

Finding a tasty and well priced dosage place in Denver has always been hard. We used to go to Masala in Aurora but after seeing the quality and taste decline there, we were thrilled to stumble upon this restaurant. Our go to meal here is an onion rava dosa, which I liked filled with masala but my other family members enjoy as is. It is incredibly tasty and crunchy! Each dosa is served with sambar (don't worry about asking for more as we always need to have a little extra. They serve you seconds at no cost!) It's also served with 3 different types of chutneys: a coconut chutney, a ginger chutney and one other that I cannot remember off of the top of my head. I also like ordering their mango Lassi as well as I find it incredibly tasty. The restaurant is bustling at lunch time and though they do offer a lunch buffet, I feel like their dosas are what make them stand out. We have catered from here before and they do a live dosa service at fair price. Perfect for parties! I'd highly reccomend coming here for a taste of South Indian cuisine!

I've always loved Indian food, but I've gotta admit that my knowledge was limited to North Indian cuisine...until now! I recently tried South Indian cuisine for the first time at Godavari in Centennial, and it's freaking delicious! They nail it with flavorful food and a variety of dishes that could satisfy even the pickiest eaters. Whether you go for their à la carte options or the lunch buffet, you really can't go wrong! What I ordered: Veg Lollipop - Weekend-only special Special "Hariyali" Kabab - Boneless free-range chicken in a special Chef-made Hariyali sauce, grilled in a Tandoor Malai Kofta - Fresh dumplings made from cottage cheese, cauliflower, carrots, cashews, raisins, potatoes, and herbs cooked in a rich, creamy curry sauce Nuziveedu Mango Lassi - Mango & yogurt drink, aka the Father of All Smoothies (not pictured) Taj Mahal Lager Best bite: I loved everything, but the Hariyali Kabab was the standout for me. The sauce, the tender chicken, the red onions made every bite so flavorful and balanced. The Veg Lollipop was also amazing, and of course, you can't go wrong with a mango lassi. If you haven't been, you're seriously missing out!

Godavari Centennial offers one of the best Indian buffets I've experienced, consistently delivering bold flavors and variety. The menu changed with my two visit, which keeps things exciting. The most recent time I was thrilled to find unique dish like coconut paneer--rich, creamy, and a standout item. They also serve chai tea on the buffet - which was good on a cold day While most items were delicious, be aware that some dishes lean on the spicier side, so it might not be ideal for those with sensitive palates. Though my wife survived and wants to go back !

Delicious homemade traditional Indian food! PACKED with natives eating their heart out! People were rolling in til Close at 10pm. Their South Indian food is their star and did not disappoint. Their ONION MASALA DOSA was incredible! Their care so much about keeping your dosa from being soggy that they offer and suggest having it on the side (in the thali bins it's served on). Loved this experience and look forward to returning!

Went in for a weekend lunch buffet on Saturday. Lots of options - chicken, mutton, veggie, dessert. They also had a chat counter. It was not too crowded when I went in so the buffet line wasn't bad. It costed be $25

I went here twice, the vegetable pakoras are very good and Dosa as well. My son had chicken biriani and he said it was ok, not great. Overall nice and clean restaurant and service was also good.

By far the best South Indian restaurant in Denver. If you are expecting a North Indian restaurant where the highlights are Chicken Tikka Masala and Chickpeas, this is not your place. If you are looking for food from the south of the subcontinent, this is your your restaurant. The dosa served here is right on par with what you get in India. They ask your crisp level, and if you choose crisp as I do, you will not be disappointed. The sambar served on the side is top notch as are all of the chutneys, including tomato and coconut. The serving is a bit much for one, and I will end up sharing in the future as I will be back. Now let us talk about the lunch buffet. $18 for weekdays, higher on weekends. The buffet does boast a variety of foods including dishes made from vegetables found in the southern region of India. The buffet is very vegetarian forward, with a small selection of meat and fish kept off to the side. The buffet does include dessert as well as tea/lemonade. Overall the food is very well done. I can handle spice, however this spice level was out of my league. I can usually do some damage at an all-you-can-eat buffet however I had to end my meal earlier than expected as my tongue could no longer tolerate the heat. The service is fantastic and the menu is very welcome in Denver.

Honestly, this is currently the best Indian restaurant I've tried in Denver. Staff is accommodating, food is great and the prices are decent. My first time trying their weekend buffet and my friends here rave about it and rightly so. Their buffet is so good - so many vegetarian options, multiple types of biryanis.. it just makes sense to come here for their buffet! The medu vadas in the buffet were as good my the ones from my favourite restaurant in Mumbai! Loved it. We had to head to the airport and the staff here was so accommodating and got us a table within minutes. I hope this place continues to maintain their food standards and prices and they will always have a crowd waiting to dine here!

Ordered takeout from Godavari. Was surprised to learn that it's a chain, because it has the feel of a stand-alone restaurant. Pickup was smooth. The lamb dish I ordered was quite bony. However, the flavor was pleasing so I would consider a return visit on my next trip to Denver, ordering something else.

Godavari Indian offers a great lunch buffet as well as a a la carte menu. I've stopped in twice for lunch now and it did not disappoint. I'm actually normally not a big buffet fan, however this place is different. I love the variety of different Indian dishes it offers and both times I've been the menu has varied. The last time I went they offered a coconut paneer dish - so amazing and I still think about it. The food there is so unique and overall not too spicey (just spicey enough) - coming from a generally spice adverse person. The service is friendly and they quickly come to pick up your finished plates.

Great for dinner, delicious southern Indian dishes. Great service probably best service among all Indian places in Denver metro. I would avoid their buffet though, it was too greasy for my liking . Go for dinner !!

Great sized restaurant with plenty of seating for large groups, friendly staff, and great portion sizes. I ordered a medium spicy Tikka masala and was happy with the heat, and the garlic naan was freshly baked! I'll definitely be go back.

Fabulous vegetarian buffet! I went with several friends and we were all very pleased with the options! There were great vegetarian and non veg options. The mango lassi was great too! I'll definitely be back! Service interaction was minimal as it was a buffet but they kept our drinks refilled! Nice ambiance and free parking too.

I'm happy we stopped here for a late lunch. The buffet, which I don't normally do, was good. There are so many flavors. My friends also enjoyed this stop. Service was good, mostly buffet. The place was clean and open.

Godavari was awesome. I went with my sister and we had a great time. The food was buffet style and it was so good. The fruit custard... one of the best things I've ever eaten! The service was nice and fast. The inside had great design making a lunch feel like a vacation. I also enjoyed the "Thums Up" drink they served. Godavari you will see me again.

Pretty good Indian restaurant with retro vibe. Strongly recommend 70 mm dosa. Tandoori chicken is amazing (medium spice is minimum).

The food here is incredible! Better than anywhere in my native Chicago area, Devon Street (little India). I mean it! We are spoiled to have such a wealth of South Indian food available in one place. The dosa was perfectly crispy and stuffed with a delicious fresh potato mix, and the variety of Sambal and chutneys served with it were thick, flavorful and fresh! We also ordered the Avakai goat curry, made with mango pickle, and it had the perfect level of heat with LOTS of flavor! The meat fell off the bone, and the sauce was delicious. I also ordered a savory yogurt buttermilk, and it had lots of flavor too, and is my go-to for eating spicy, flavorful curries. Finding a spot with so much variety, including all the dosas, tiffins, chaat, and their weekly specials on top of the creative drinks as well as an alcohol menu - WOW! The atmosphere inside is also a great ambiance and service was exceptionally friendly.

Came back for dinner again - just as good as we remembered. Loved the butter chicken, corn and gobi 777 (califlower) and also tried the chicken biryani (delicious but even mild was very spicy for me). Had both roti and naan- think I prefer naan but Roti was really good too

Godavari was recommended to my daughter by a co-worker from India. She said it's the only Indian restaurant she will go to and I can see why. They have a great variety on their menu but for our first visit we opted for the buffet so we could try more dishes. They have everything separated by vegetarian and non-vegetarian with desserts and beverages on the side. Everything is perfectly spiced and the flavors are so delicious. The entire staff is friendly and helpful and right there any time we needed something. The restaurant is clean and bright with some eclectic decor. If I hadn't had to roll myself out the door I would have loved to try the ice cream flavors - all of which were new to me. I'm already thinking about what I'll order next time I visit.

This is hands down the best Indian food in Denver!!! Everything is good, from the Dosas, to the chicken Tikka Masala. Naan is fresh and made to order. Truly can't go wrong with anything on the menu and I'm so glad this place opened up in Centennial!

Fun Fact: Godavari Denver brings Southern Indian cuisine with love. I had an exciting night trying some new dishes from this cuisine that offers so much more than just the standard fare. I appreciated the guidance of my host, who led me to: * Andhra Masala Fried Fish~So crisp and full of flavor, this appetizer was the joyous surprise of the night for me. Special Paneer Tikka~A plate full of cheese that comes out sizzling? Say less. Telangana Mamsam Korma~A goat korma with bone along with rice and garlic Naan Rasmali~I've never had this before, but boy, howdy was it a great dessert. ‍ Margarita~made by hand with lemon, lime, tequila, and triple sec * With over 30 locations across two countries, Godavari really brings some tatsy eats in a friendly, welcoming environment.

So one of the items we ordered was Gobi Manchurian this item was off with soy sauce flavor dominating and big pieces were uncooked. The onion kulcha and garlic naan pieces were so small compared to other restaurants. In similar Indian restaurants, four pieces are equal to two pieces. The layered parotta was also small, just two pieces. We were not served rice as well. A particle was present in the chickoo shake. I was explained that it was just a seed. They took the drink when we showed them the particle and were not provided an alternate but charged for it.

I have only been here once and had the lunch buffet, they have a lunch buffet Monday-Friday starting @ 11:30, not sure about the weekend. Week day lunch buffet is $18 and it is a typical Indian fare. Nothing really stood out and none of it was bad, just average. If I happen to be really hungry and want to stuff myself will visit again

Wow! So far this is the best Indian food we've had in Colorado. I'm mainly here to review the lunch buffet since that's what we had. We went on a Friday so the buffet had lots of options though we heard there's even more on Saturdays and Sundays! Apparently the chef just decides what he wants to make so there are definitely some mainstays and also lots of rotating dishes. I think that's awesome. Honestly every dish we had we absolutely loved. Some were just not to our liking but that's more of a personal preference then it tasting bad. But that was like 1 or 2 items. The tandoori chicken was one of the better ones I've had Stateside. It was moist and flavorful. Lots of tandoori especially at buffets tend to dry out but not this one. Also, this is a Southern Indian restaurant so if you're looking for a more 'typical' Indian buffet with food that isn't even half as spicy as it should be then this is not the place for you. But what it is is authentic, actually spicy and super delicious. We also got the plain dosa which was huge and so good! Growing up in Malaysia that's what I had a lot of so it's nice to have it in a place here. Overall we enjoyed our experience and the service was very good too.

Service is great. They are always punctual to take your order, and food comes out quickly. Their paneer 555 dish is AMAZING!!! You have to get that as an appetizer. Their upma is good as well. Biryani (which is my husband's favorite) has been lacking the last couple times we were there. Not much chicken meat, and not very flavorful. We've tried multiple chicken curries, and those have been satisfactory. Nearly every time we ordered upma it was good, but the last time it was a bit dried out and chunky. The atmosphere is good, and the food overall is good despite some disparities in quality control. If they could be more consistent on quality of dishes, we would come more often.

Buffet food options were great! South Indian curries were authentic and flavorful. I will go back to try menu order next time.

We went for the lunch buffet. If you are a non-vegetarian then it's a good value. But if you are a vegetarian, come really hungry. Because 25 dollars per person is too much if you are vegetarian. The food was fine, not exceptional. But there is a variety, so if you are very, very hungry go pig out!

Probably a bad night for them. The mutton biryani was okay. About a fourth of the meat was bone. The bone probably adds flavor. Maybe I'm just not used to mutton bones in my biryani. Didn't receive the Basmati rice with our order. Paid for two garlic naan and only received one. If we're ever in the area maybe we'll give it another try. First impression was not very good.

Very friendly and helpful staff with getting suggestions on what to order. Ambiance was excellent as well and the food was absolutely delicious. I did medium spice and it was just at my limit which was perfect.

This place is outstanding. I found out about it a month ago, and I've been three times. The buffet is plentiful, and they switch up the dishes daily. Everything tastes fresh, and while I have no basis for saying this, it seems authentic. I'll be back soon and often!

Spicy food from the North of India. Lots of flavor and a great staff. I went twice during my trip to Denver, that is how good it was. Try the Dosa!

The place was so clean and nice. So many options for the buffet. Potato masala dosa that we ordered off the menu was so good!!! The service was amazing as well, the waitress was very attentive to us.

Indian food is a lot about variety and the wide spectrum of flavors, and this is that one Indian restaurant in Colorado that has the most options on the menu. The quality of food is one of the best that you will find around here. Service is also great. Ambiance is casual, good for friends and families. If you haven't tried their buffet yet, you definitely should! I really hope that their food quality remains consistent.

Absolutely the best and most authentic Indian food I've ever had. The flavors are truly balanced, deep, and satisfying. I'm drooling just writing this!! I've brought friends here and they agree it's quite unforgettable. There are so many mediocre places that you go to because it's a bad habit. Try this place to shake up your routine and just know your time, money, and energy to go somewhere new will be well spent here. It will become your favorite and your health and happiness will thank you for it.

This is the best Indian place in Denver, I have found. So many vegetarian options. Highly recommend going on Friday, as the selection tends to be the strongest.

Food is awesome. Love the ambience. Service is decent. Being a South Indian place, it is packed by Indians so definitely a great sign. But what sets this place absolutely different from the rest is including Sunny Leone Mixed Hakka Noodles in their menu. You guys deserve a medal. But other than South Indian, I wouldn't order anything else. No Indo-Chinese and no North Indian. Nope!

Well prepped and served food complementing the ambiance. The service was prompt. They were open for late lunch / early dinner hours and still served up fresh food.

Indian Brunch Buffet - with an explosion of Indian restaurants in South Denver there are so many welcomed options. Godavari is a new addition with a quirky interior where you are welcomed by a Tata truck face and wait of an hour to be seated. Once seated you will patiently wait in a line to try over 30 different indian dishes. Most of which I can't recall but the few that stood out the most were the Mutton, Briyani and a shrimp dish. Here comes the odd part - the invention of a glove has done miracles for healthcare settings and infection control but the staff here have no concept of what gloves do. They have them on, touch their faces, shirts, put their gloved hands in their jeans pockets, touch pens and serve tables with the same gloves - The highlight is also the use of plastic utensils that one grabs at the bar ... not a bad thing but just odd. Overall decent food if you can get past the long wait, long lines to get food in the restaurant and the glove issue.

My family and I have gone several times since their opening. Although busy, and therefore still figuring out kinks, their service has always been excellent. The employees are polite and thoughtful. The decor plays wonderful homage to South Indian styles while remaining contemporary and comfortable. And food is delicious!! They have unique items, drinks, and desserts you wouldn't find at other indian restaurants in denver. I hope the simplify the extensive menu a little, to continue to focus on high quality and tasty meals. Would 100% recommend to all in the area!!

Just had the lunch buffet and it was very good. I wish they offered more curry dishes. The curry shrimp was excellent. The nan was good. They cleaned your old plates promptly. I highly recommend.
