Godavari

Had a good experience at Godavari, all the veg items were brought to table promptly, the non veg items took a bit of time to table. Taste wise, it was good and nearing the South Indian cuisine, on the spice level it was from mild to medium. The host and hostess were good on professional level. 3 star rating, because felt that the Spice level would be hot, but felt that the medium level was actually mild.

With the hyper competition of Indian food in Houston, this was a good find! Service was great, ambiance was nice, the quality of the food was surprisingly very good. I pray you guys can maintain the quality. I came in with a lot of coworkers and everyone enjoyed their food! I will definitely return with more people. The lady at the counter was very kind. It looked like very traditional south Indian food, there were items I have never seen in other Indian joints. Updating Review Went there on a Monday and it was pretty sad. Food felt like they were leftovers from the weekend. There was hardly any waiters. The sweet lady looked like she was handling everything by herself. There were spoons missing in the buffet line. Do NOT go on a Monday, less customers, hence less care. The first time i went was on a Friday and it was fabulous.

We had the breakfast buffet which opens at 12pm. They have lots of variety in the buffet, so you will have a lot of options to choose from. The food quality was good. They have multiple options in desserts too, their sewina pudding was really good. They also server drinks ( a hot and a cold beverage)in the buffet. Their staff was also very polite and friendly. Overall it was a nice experience.

3.75 Good for casual and comfort food. Ambience is pretty good. Lots of buffet options for veg and meat eaters. 14 bucks for the buffet nd Tastes good. Just be aware its brand new and wait times are up to 30-40 mins. Decent Customer service.

FANTASTIC!!! GODAVARI HOUSTON IS A MUST VISIT RESTAURANT!!!! From the time you enter where you are greeted by the very friendly staff and get seated your experience continues to get even better! The buffet is a plethora of unique freshly prepared southern Indian dishes . Every bite of each dish is an experience of deliciousness. The fresh breads were brought to our table and were nothing short of gourmet. For about $14 a person you cannot go wrong. Abby and the staff treat you as if you are the only customer...total VIP. Thanks Godavari"s!! What a tremendously enjoyable experience!!!

We went for the buffet. Food was decent but not hot. The ambiance and selection were good. Nothing makes we wanna go back and eat there really. But will go if someone else wants to grab a Indian buffet. Also the lady in the front was a little confused as the restaurant was free but wasn’t sure if could give us a booth or not. The place was pretty empty. We were the 2nd customer that day. Her customer skills need a little improvement

Had a weekend Buffett, was excellent with different options for meat lovers. Lot of options for veg as well. The staff was attentive in clearing the plates, the ambience was good and food tasted very well . To critique the dessert options could have been better Weekend Buffet Cost 18$+tax

They have plenty of variety in veg and non-veg. The best day to visit and eat at the buffet is Friday, serving more variety. Their speciality is Dosa. The overall ambiance of the restaurant is nice, not too noisy. The food quality and taste was good the only issue is that the food was not warm. I am not sure if the warmer were not working proper. The other thing that they can improve upon is their procedure when it comes to changing of plates, they should either leave the plate with spoons or take both instead of leave the spoons on the Table this not good for hygiene
