I know it's hard to run a restaurant in London nowadays as it is to afford lots of meals out but these kinds of offerings are a tough pill to swallow. Firstly we sat down and were immediately told we had 90 mins and there were two other reserved signs on our table. We were told in a dismissive way that we were informed of this on an email confirmation - I checked all of the confirmations and nothing was mentioned, only that we would be charged £15 pp if we didn't show. Not a good start. I can understand needing a high turnover if you're doing cheap food or something really special but this was neither. "Pickled cucumbers and radishes" were just cold supermarket veg with a tiny drop of soy sauce. Wontons were fine but can make them exactly the same at home. Skirt steak which I normally love was like 7 small strips of the most affordable cuts of meat plonked on a plate. We wanted to order more and they ummed and ahhed as we only had 25 mins left on our booking. Eventually got the udon beef ragu which was fine. That amount of average food plus one of the cheapest bottles on the menu came to £150. I know wine bars have a high mark up but at least you get the option to try interesting wines in a relaxed way. This was just a joke in my opinion.

Came for the wine, stayed to question my own social standing. Wine was delish, glass a lil small, Ling Ling’s food looked incredible (we did not eat it, which is on us). Not enough awkward dates to dissect but plenty of very Islington energy. For a brief moment, I felt cool. Then I noticed I was thinking about it. Highly recommend.

Great food with interesting Asian fusions and amazing atmosphere! We tried a few different plates and all were very tasty!

Not very excited with the place, lacks vibe. No dj on Wednesday evening, you could hardly hear the music. Food was good and well prepared, felt overpriced though.

Lovely ambiance at Godet with Ling Ling as a resident. Food was very good and good value for money. The crispy wontons and the noodles were excellent 👌🏼

The food and wine is always so good. Love the specials - oysters were so fresh and the matcha tiramisu is great! Staff are lovely as well.

We came here on a Sunday to try Ling Lings and OMG it was sublime! Honestly one of the nicest meals in ages. The glass chicken was butter soft, the cauliflower was spicy and crunchy and the noodles were slurptastic. The only critique was we could have done with something to mop up the delicious sauces with. Definitely will be returning to eat lire again soon!

Delicious Sunday roast! Will definitely be back as I’ve heard the burgers are 10/10! We had the beef roast and the festive chicken roast. I would recommend both but especially the chicken, it was so moist and tender, cooked to absolute perfection!
