7 Best Korean BBQ Restaurants In Miami

"If you want Korean barbecue, and don’t particularly care about grilling it yourself, Gogiya in Davie is a great option. The menu is big, but the proteins are what this spot does best. They make our favorite galbi, marinated to tender perfection. But as good as that is, we will never be able to come here without ordering the bossam. The boiled fatty pork belly is fanned out across the plate like a deck of cards, and the lettuce wraps it comes with are crisp and sturdy. If you also happen to order the galbi, you can borrow its onions while assembling your wrap. The restaurant has combination platters that feed up to six and dinner won’t take several hours since you won’t have to grill it all up yourself." - ryan pfeffer

Google
We had a fabulous dining experience! The price was reasonable, and the food was excellent. The service was also great. We had pork katsu, assorted Korean bbq, and seafood pancake. The various side dishes were great and we loved the cheesed sweet corn! Highly recommend this place, you won’t be dissatisfied.

Google
Amazing authentic Korean cuisine in Broward. We ordered a Korean bbq for two which was plenty of food for two people. The meats were well seasoned and everything was delicious. We also ordered a kimchi pancake and terra beer. Check this place out if you’re nearby. The server was also very friendly and the restaurant was well kept. Will come back again.

Authentic Korean Cuisine! I have a reunion party with 2 old friends. They loved the dishes and service was very good. So many variety to select with side dishes. Our waitress that day was very friendly and professional.

Google
In search of finding the best flavor of my favorite food, Korean cuisine we find our next food adventure Gogiya Korean BBQ Restaurant located in Hollywood Fl and with a category of 4.5 and more than 186 reviews. The place is small but clean, the customer service was excellent and friendly and the food was amazing, delicious and exquisite. Our order was three different meats Galbi (ribs) Pork buldogi Pork belly All the sides were like a small gallery of colors with different flavors. I think the price is perfect in my opinion for the quality they offer. Highly recommended if you are visiting Hollywood FL and you love South Korean cuisine, this is the perfect place to visit.

Google
Nice Korean restaurant. Good food. With large portions. A large selection of dishes. Quick and good service. Cute design. Close to the Hard Rock Casino. On Stirling Road after the bridge on the turnpike.

Google
I’ve gone to several Korean restaurants with my Korean friends and to be honest this one is not at the top of my list . The “Spicy chicken” which wasn’t even spicy at all had a weird texture and strange flavor it had no taste maybe it needed some salt.our group of 7 did not enjoy this we all just tried it and reacted the same . We left all of it . Egg custard was ok ,I’ve definitely had better , it needs salt . The soup was good , the beef and pork were ok too . Service was good , the plates give the food a nice authentic touch , they couldn’t give us forks because they were being washed so they gave us a plastic fork. The place was clean and organized and there’s lots of parking considering the restaurant is in a plaza .

Google
It was great. I think personally I do not like Korean food that much, this was a pretty good experience tho, food was great and the dumplings were fire, I also liked the tamago side dish so much.

Google
I love Korean food so I was excited to try this location. I made a reservation for a Friday evening, but the restaurant was pretty empty when we came in. Our server was a little ruff around the edges and seemed to assume that we didn't know about the dishes. Once we started ordering she softened up a bit. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. The seafood pancake had seafood on every bite and came in this sizzling plate. We also ordered the bbq plate for 2 that comes with pork , chicken and beefs. All the meats were well seasoned and also came in the hot sizzling plate. Our meal came with the typical Korean side dishes, white rice and a side or cheesy corn. They boba tea was also good. Definitely recommend

Yelp
My husband and I sought this place out in search of good Korean food. This was just great. We each had a different lunch special, I the Beef Bulgogi Set. He the Chicken Gut Set. It was huge and really good. We each got 4 small banchan serving (kimchi, bean sprouts, cucumber kimchi, and tofu). I had a nice serving of delicious beef bulgogi, a bowl of rice, and even better a small (adequate) serving on soft tofu jjigae, or soup/stew. Not only was it filled with silky soft tofu, but also bits of seafood and some veges. Too back the lunch special is only on weekdays! Service was great and quick.

Yelp
I've had this place on my radar for quite some time. It was quiet night, there were only a few people in the restaurant. I was very surprised by that, since the place was very clean, service was good, and most importantly the food was good. We started with a seafood pancake. It was still sizzling when it came out and stayed hot for a long time. I wish l had taken some video! I will say it was the best seafood pancake I've ever eaten. My daughter had ramen, she liked it. And my wife had bidimbap. She loves the the rice on the bottom that is stuck together and cooked well done, and it had plenty. Me, I had thinly sliced beef tongue. I normally would order spicy baby octopus or squid, but rare that I see tongue on the menu other then in a deli. The tongue was a little bit over cooked for me, but it was still really good.

Yelp
The best seafood pancake I have ever had! I just had to say that first. The seafood was tender and it was served on a hot stone, so it stayed hot. Now that that is out of the way - we love Korean food and we all enjoyed our food. I never thought I would hear my daughter say "can I have more of that beef tongue?" The restaurant was clean, service was friendly and everyone enjoyed their food. My daughter had ramen and was a little disappointed that they didn't have a proper ramen spoon but said the dish was delicious. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Korean food is my favorite, and I wasn't sure I was going to be able to find the same quality in the Davie area as central Florida - but this place is amazing! Firstly, the portions are HUGE. We were eating our leftovers all week. The restaurant itself is quaint & clean, and you can tell the staff really cares about your experience. We'll definitely be back to try their combos soon!

Yelp
Delicious Korean food! Hubby and I have been here multiple times and we absolutely love this place! Gogiya is a cute, clean and quiet little restaurant that's hidden in the corner of a plaza in Davie. Everything here is fresh and is made to order and comes out in a timely matter. Our usual go to is the seafood pancake which always comes out sizzling hot and and super crispy as well. We love love love their Galbi tang (short rib stew), its so delicious and warms you up inside. Even though you don't get to grill your own meats, their galbi and other meats are full of flavor and is very tender. The staff here are super friendly and always welcomes everybody with a big smile. They even have an awesome lunch special available during the weekday from 11:30-3pm which comes with rice and soup! Always looking forward to eating here ! :)

Yelp
Found this place because I did not want to cook dinner lol. I can see why it has such great reviews. You can tell it is family owned. The food was so good, had so much flavor and definitely worth the price. We got the Korean BBQ short ribs which came with different sides like Kimchi, rice, cucumber salad, glass noodles and beans sprouts. We also got the beef stew with rice. Everything was fresh and great. It's not your typical Korean BBQ where you cook it yourself and I like that. Don't come out smelling like burn. There was K-pop playing not too loudly and some KDramas on as well. The customer service could be slightly better. We had to wave to our server to order something each time, and I felt bad because it was always when she was busy. They were very sweet nevertheless. Overall, I will return because the food was just so tasty and fresh. You can tell it was made to order.

Yelp
I was in the area and had a craving for Korean . This place didn't disappoint. It is very clean and comfortable inside . The service was great . I ordered spicy pork bulgogi . It had great flavor and was a good size. The banchan was delicious as well. I would return if I was in the neighborhood

Yelp
I decided to try this place out since my regular Korean restaurants were closed on Sundays. The restaurant has a real "family" owned feel and the service was really good. They had a lot of traditional Korean dishes and Korean BBQ al la cart and set meals that come for larger parties. We got the set for four and it came with a soup too, we got the tofu. We also ordered the seafood scallion pancake and Korean fried chicken. Seafood scallion pancake was MASSIVE and well filled. Super crispy with and yummy. Would recommend this for a large group. Korean friend chicken was 4/10, probably would go to a place that specializes in this for. As far as the KBBQ platter it was plenty for all four of us to eat. All cooked for us in the back kitchen and explained what each was. Love this place.

Yelp
Drove up with ideas to go to a different establishment in the shopping center but saw Gogiya and it seemed promising so we decided to try it. My friend and I have had Korean in a few different Broward placed and some in Miami Dade county. First of all, the restaurant has ample seating and it's clean. We were told we could sit anywhere and the menus came quickly. After this our experience went downhill.... I feel the server was very inexperienced. We did not receive water. One of my nephews accidentally spilled a soda and it took three people from the restaurant to clean it up and we were not offered a replacement. We ordered the chicken wings as an appetizer and for the price and serving we received we were not happy. The wings were TINY and only 6 wings. The food came quickly and typically in Korean restaurants you are brought "Banchan" a little bit before your main meal, they brought it all together. For the Dolsot bowl in the clay pot they did not offer to mix it up for us or instruct us on how it should be eaten. Luckily it was not our first time. It was good, but a little on the bland side. The LA galbi serving was good and the meat was tasty. At the end of the meal we were not offered dessert and simply brought the bill before we asked. I'm not sure I would visit again because my go to Korean is an additional 15/20min drive and service/food is better. For a quick local weeknight meal it is worth a shot and it is not bad! But don't order the chicken wings, you'll be disappointed.

Yelp
The food is very good. And the staff is very friendly. Service is a little slow. Very niche ambience and very clean place. It is missing the in table BBQ to be a great place.

Yelp
MY NEW GO-TO AUTHENTIC KOREAN SPOT! This was a hidden gem I'm so happy I found. I'm not even joking the menu was huge, full of all the classic Korean dishes, place was packed with locals, hardworking staff and had tons of seating. I ordered beef ramen and corn cheese and loved both of them! The beef ramen had great flavor & ingredients, I wish I had a 2nd bowl honestly. The corn cheese was great but as a cheese lover, could have had more cheese haha. Overall, I'm going to have to stop myself from coming here daily!!!

Yelp
Lovely dinner, very big menu. BBQ was very good and we didn't even have to cook it ourselves (no open grills here). Good location and service was friendly.

Yelp
Stopped by this place in search of good Korean bbq in the area. This place is not a place where you cook your own and is not all you can eat. The food here is A La carte, but they do offer some combos with the different kind of meats. We did one of the meat combos that came with Bulgogi, brisket, chicken and we substituted short ribs for the 4th kind of meat. The first 3 meats were just okay. Before the short ribs came out, I thought to myself this is disappointing for the price. However the short ribs more than made up for everything else. There were full of flavor and super tender. We would come back and just have the short ribs.

Yelp
Excellent place. Not all you can eat, but high quality. We had a Kimchi pancake and dumplings to start. Kimchi pancake was huge but the leftovers made a good lunch the next day. None of the bulgogi or tiger shrimp made it home as they were too good to stop eating. Staff was very friendly and nice.

Yelp
This place was delicious! We got the 4 people set and added some additional sides and it came about to be $50ish including tip a person I believe. The meats were so flavorful, tender, and piping hot and it was the perfect mix of fatty meat and refreshing vegetables. We also loved the kimchi jjigae, tteokbokki, and bibimbap. Personally the bibimbap was nothing special to me, but everything else came out amazingly. At first we were apprehensive about the meat portions, but we all left extremely satisfied. For the meat quality and speedy service I'd definitely return! The lunch specials looked like great deals to try if you're in the area.

Yelp
I really wanted to try Korean BBQ and did a quick Yelp search to try and find one. This place had the best reviews and the food looked delicious. Due to the crazy weather here as of late, I ordered my food as take-out so that I could make it back home before the rain started. I ordered the bulgogi beef because it was something that I'd been wanting to try. So I got the Bulgogi Set because I wanted all of the extras. With the set you got the beef, rice, side dishes (sides of the day) and choice of jjigae. The Bulgogi beef itself was a little too sweet for my taste buds but still good. I opted for the kimchi jjigae and honey I could eat that by itself. It was so delicious. I loved that it had tofu in it. I don't know exactly what the sides were but all of it was delicious especially what I predict is fried tofu stripes. I also ordered fried pork dumplings. They could have been fried a little harder but what still delicious. I will definitely be back. I want to try some of the other dishes.

Tonya G.

Yelp
Was so happy when they opened since there not a lot of Korean restaurants around here and can honestly say I really enjoyed the food and trying new things every time I go, they even have a lunch special

Cecilia Odio D.

Yelp
A very nice experience. We will visit again! It was our first time trying Korean food and we are not disappointed. Waiters was super nice. The place is small but cozy.

Yelp
First time here and impressed with their service. The owner is really nice, helpful, and friendly. He really take care customers. I came here with my family and my two babies, they immediately gave us a good spot where I can park the stroller near the table. We tried dolsot bibimbap, pork cutlet, and seafood soondubu jigae. My favorite is bibimbap because the veggies are fresh and the sauce is flavorful. It also comes with a lot of condiments such as kimchi, fish cake, pickle radish, and sautéed bean sprouts. The restaurant is clean and has a cute mini Korean tradition clothes as a decoration. will come back to try other food for sure!!

Yelp
A decent spot for Korean food, but there are no grills for you to cook the meat yourself! I visited with a party of three during weekend lunch time -- the resaturant was actually pretty empty. Our servers were helpful and paid attention to our table. We ended up ordering a combo and tteokbokki. This was my friends' first time trying many dishes -- they liked the tteokbokki the most! However, the portion sizes are quite small for the price. The meat was nothing phenomenal; I actually enjoy the experience of bonding with friends while grilling too. Gogiya is worth a try, but there's also a growing number of Korean restaurants in the area.

Amanda O.

Yelp
Discovered this place by recommendation and can't believe I wasn't informed of Gogiya sooner! Delicious food and lovely service. Very welcoming establishment. Will definitely be back again

Yelp
This was my first experience at a Korean BBQ place really enjoyed it. The place wasn't packed as I came during lunch time. The food tasted great we loved the bulgogi chicken. They can be a little slow with coming out with what you order but overall had a good experience and would come back again!

Jessica L.

Yelp
Some of the best Galbi I've had. Beef is buttery as can be. Lunch menu is an amazing deal. Couldn't wait to take a photo.

Yelp
Good Korean food. Went there for my birthday for the first time. Then many times afterwards. Staff is super friendly. Went for the lunch recently and everything was good.

Thomas P.

Yelp
Was craving Korean food when I found this place. I ordered the Japchae, Galbi and Seafood Pancake. Japchae and Galbi were pretty good but nothing special. The seafood pancake however was amazing. Would come here again just for that.
google avatar

Crystal S.

Yelp
Solid 5 star Korean restaurant. The restaurant itself is very nice and seems easy to accommodate groups. Being that I live in NW Dade, I typically have to drive to Lauderhill for any of my favorite Korean spots. Having a closer alternative is great! We ordered the seafood pancake, bibimbap, and beef sundubu. Everything came sizzling hot, super fresh, and so delicious. The banchan was really good too, my favorite was definitely the cucumber. For being the only waitress on shift, ours did a great job checking up on us and refilling our waters. We can't wait to go back! Gogiya will definitely see us soon.
google avatar

Clara W.

Yelp
I'm simply blown away how amazing food here is. Ordered Zzamppong and serioulsly, this was the best tasting Zzamppong I had it the U.S! Ordered Tteokbbokki to go and it didn't disappoint.

Yelp
The food was great, the ambience was comfortable and the service good. We recommend this place

Yelp
I was craving Korean food and decided to check out Gogiya. Located in the inner corner of a shopping plaza, Gogiya offers a variety of tasty Korean dishes. We ordered the seafood pancake and tofu stew with seafood. Both dishes were delicious but I wish there was a little more seafood, or the seafood was not a small as it was. Service was a little slow with only one server for the entire restaurant, but she was doing a great job managing all of her tables. Check them out if you are looking for a Korean meal!
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing Korean food. The soup is not too spicy and delicious. The seafood pancake is so tasty and throughout the meal the temperature continue to stay hot and crispy with the hot plate.

Yelp
By far the best tasting Korean restaurant around. I have tried 6 in Broward county and this by far has been the tastiest. The location has plenty of parking. I did not see outside dinning that day, but I believe they can do outside dining since the sports bar next door does. They place was another Asian place before,. It they have changed the layout by making it more like different areas, which is nice to sit in a more semi private area. We went around 5 and I was great because it was not busy. Their menu has many choices plus combos for 2 or more people.
google avatar

Carmen S.

Yelp
Simple and delicious! Apparently, this spot is known for it's authentic Korean cuisine. And I see now that I have never had authentic Korean food. The foot traffic told me this place was going to be good. Not too many people but a good flow. The Corn Cheese Appetizer was as advertised. Corn, Cheese, Goood. The waitress explained that this appetizer comes with side dishes. The side dishes included bean sprouts, fried egg, spicy marinated potatoes, kimchi and the last one slips my mind. Beef Bibimbap was the business. Not overly seasoned. I could really taste the flavor of the veggies and beef. It's not like the super great tasting Bibimbap I used to get at PF Chang's. And again, that wasn't authentic. I will be back to try more traditional Korean fare.

Yelp
We have two Korean-born children, have been to Korea, and eat Korean food often. So, were happy to see that a Korean restaurant had opened nearby. The seafood pancake was scrumptious. It had the right amount of gooeyness, yet it was crisp and well-cooked. The jap chae was good. But the hands-down favorite at the table of four was the bulgogi. It was tender and flavorful. Though, we thought it was a little pricey at $25.99 an order. The side offerings are skimpy in the number offered and the amount in each small plate (for a table of four). But they were tasty. We asked for more, and the waitress gladly obliged.
google avatar

Idsia R.

Yelp
Food was amazing we had the Korean Pancake, cheese corn and BBQ for 2 meat was tender and great flavors, table service was good, Boba tea and soju plum wine were great. The ambiance is dimmed and quiet great for a quiet dinner. Don't expect a huge restaurant it's just perfect the way it is.

Lina R.

Yelp
Ordered the port dumpling (delish), clear noddles appetizer (pretty big and also very delicious) with just these two appt we had to cancel one entree because we were filling up. We ordered a fried rice and WOW super good a true fried rice. We ordered chicken but the steak one looked really good too.
google avatar

Sherry W.

Yelp
We went on a weekday for the lunch special. For $17, I got kimchi soup, Korean side dishes, and Bulgogi. Everything tasted delicious. It is indoor dining only. Plenty of parking in the attached lot. Friendly service.

Yelp
Tips are out of control! I noticed this restaurant charges 20% automatic tip. This is ridiculous! Our group came to this restaurant on Saturday dinner. My group was party of 15. The foods were not bad and we all enjoyed getting together after golf. When I received the bill I noticed that there was 20% service charge(BTW, I do like the term "service charge". It should be tips which customers pay). I asked the waitress that why there was automatic 20% then she said they have charged always 20% and sounded like this is not a problem. To us(not just me), the service provided was not worth 20% of the total bill. Why restaurant deicide the tips? What is the definition of the tips? The customers decide the amount of the tips. This automatic and overrated tipping is outrageous and it has to be stopped.

Yelp
I have been here several times, I had 5 stars experience as well as 2 stars ones. First visit was great, followed by disappointment and a second chance... at this point I decided it's too much a gamble to return and don't feel right recommending it to others. So if you scroll the reviews and see the ratings all tossed up, that's probably why. If you are lucky you'll have an authentic and tasty meal, if not, it can be among the worst Korean you've tried. One thing we order every time and which is consistently excellent is the seafood pancake. Piping hot, loaded with seafood, with a deliciously chewy texture and crispy edge, it's the best seafood pancake in my life! If you go there, don't miss this one. The tofu stew is usually pretty satisfying as well. If you go for lunch, they have a great deal which includes a BBQ entree with a tofu stew, which is more than enough to feed two. Now, the misses: Some days the banchan can be lacking in variety and flavor. I am no Korean but it feels like they forgot to make or order the kimchi, so they just chop up the cabbage and stir in some chili sauce that very morning. There was no fermentation, no marriage of flavor in that kimchi. I've also tried BBQ where the meat was unbelievably tough and dry we left most of the dish untouched.

Yelp
service is trash! Until I finish my lunch ! Not any water ! And when I need bring the food ! I boxed by myself!

David B.

Yelp
Food was very tasty, went there to celebrate my birthday and the staff were nice and accommodating with a cake brought from outside the restaurant. Definitely a place to go again.

Yelp
We loved the food, the service and the ambiance. What we ordered was enough for three people.

Yelp
Please don't try combinations for 2 69.99$ OMG cost less than 15$ to me the meat so dry and not good .so Dry no taste and check your total before signs and tips

Yelp
Based on reviews I was soooo looking forward to having some Korean food with my mom. There aren't many places around so I was excited to see one 10min away from where we were. The food arrived and it looked delicious. Unfortunately even though the flavor was good the meat was not premium as advertised. I got the seasoned short rib but almost every piece was hard, had cartilage and fat. The Bibimbap's rice was burned and had no flavor. Lastly, milk tea came with no bobba. Overall I probably wouldn't recommend this place or come back. It's pretty pricey for not an enjoyable meal.

Yelp
Second time here and it didn't disappoint. Christmas dinner her was the best idea my family and I had. Everything was delicious. I even liked the kimchi pancakes which is something I prefer not to eat but ate it and enjoyed it. I wish the spicy sweet chicken wings had more of a kick to eat , that's my only complaint. Otherwise it was all good!!
