"Started as pandemic-era delivery kitchens and later housed long-term in a tiny incubator at 23 Charlotte Street in Fitzrovia, this project is centered on the chef’s murgh makhani and has grown into nationwide delivery with celebrity endorsements helping visibility. Meals and kits are anchored by that butter chicken and accompanied by naan, jeera rice, pink pickled onions, dal makhani and coriander chutney. The cooking emphasizes slow-reduced tomatoes and cashews for umami and silkiness, a bouquet-garni-like infusion of Indian spices for subtle aromatic notes, and a smoky ghee technique (using cardamom and coal) plus kasuri methi to recreate a deep, charred, umami-rich profile that originally began as a meatless attempt to evoke butter paneer." - Ashanti Omkar

Can't get enough of the Butter chicken! I've also tried the wrap at their Fulham Pier food stall and it's delicious - I've never had a butter chicken paratha wrap before and it doesn't disappoint.

Goila Butter Chicken is the brainchild of Saransh Goila, one of India’s well known chefs. This location is really difficult to find (in the basement) but based on my conversation with the chef, they are planning to expand soon! Okay so the food, it’s tremendous! If you love Indian food and you’re in London, this is a must try place. The menu is limited but each dish is cooked to perfection. I had their Butter Paneer and their gravy is right there with Moti Mahal (which I had in NYC). It’s incredibly smoky and tasty. You can taste each spice. Paneer is tremendously soft and compliments the gravy really well. My only complaint would be the sourdough naan. I wish they would serve the traditional naan instead but maybe, that’s just me. If you live in the area, definitely give it a try and order through them. I think you get a discount if you order through your site instead of Deliveroo. Definitely picking it up again if I am in the vicinity.

Amazing butter chicken… looks like one lady runs this… but she was efficient and effective!! The home made drink was delicious!! I think deserts should be added next on the menu…
