Cashier was weirdly pushy about me buying their bananas when i didnt want to. They were a slightly off color and goving uncanny valley and i was really uncomfortable but she was really persistent so i got one and now im having cramps :(

Going Bananas is a lovely neighborhood market. The staff is incredibly friendly and I know I can always get something fresh in a pinch. They have good produce, lots of beverage options, and a solid array of standard dry goods, including baking supplies and party snacks. The prices are a bit higher since it's a boutique grocer, but I'd pay the same price at Star Market down the street, and I'd rather support my local shop.

They have sparkling water for sure, LOL! And The customer service was spot on.

They did not want to sell me prosciutto because I arrived 10 minutes before they would close. I would suggest to close 10 minutes earlier then! Terrible service, I would recommend going to Monica’s for great prosciutto as « going bananas » does not want to sell to their clients!

They are unreliable. If you're new to the neighborhood, be mindful that their hours are inconsistent. They say they close at 9:00 PM but sometimes they close near 8:00 PM without advance notice. This can be a real pain if you need something in a pinch.

Bit pricey but not for the North End. The sandwiches have gotten a bit smaller in the last year but still a great value. The smoothies are delicious as well!

Cash or card, local sourced and name brands. To order sandwiches, butcher orders and smoothies. Small but lovely. You can even bring your dog.
