Bray’s Hamburgers

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Bray’s Burgers is the real deal. Old-school, no-nonsense burgers done right. The double cheeseburgers were amazing — juicy, perfectly seasoned, and stacked just right. Every bite had that classic burger flavor that’s getting harder and harder to find. The chili cheese fries were absolutely abundant and full of taste. Loaded with rich chili, plenty of cheese, and perfectly cooked fries underneath — not skimpy at all and packed with flavor from top to bottom. What really makes Bray’s stand out is the consistency and the vibe. You know exactly what you’re getting: fast service, friendly staff, and food that delivers every time. If you want a legit, timeless burger spot that still does it right, Bray’s deserves all the praise.

The cashier was friendly, helpful, and patient. The place was clean, but felt weird. And then the food? Disappointing at best. Tried the cheeseburger sliders, and they seemed maybe a few sheets of paper thick (the burgers) with too much bun, yet that seemed squished down too. The flavor the burgers had? Was crossed between none and off. Like it had gone bad or such. The fries were meh, not greasy or soggy at least, but flavorless and no salt. The onion rings were decent flavor but greasy and fell apart. Unfortunately I only got some interior pictures, but if you look at John Pesta's recent review, that's the same meal I'm talking about.

I haven't had Brays in years and it didn't disappoint. The burger was juicy, delicious, and visually appealing just like I remembered. The onion rings were hot and fresh. I forgot it was full service and ordered at the counter, next time I'll remember. The prices are reasonable and the service was excellent. I'll definitely be back to try the shake, table service and have more delicious food. I definitely recommend eating here and leaving with a full belly. This is in my top 5 for a buger place.

Update 1.18.26: Bray’s Burgers in Flat Rock is one of those places that just feels good to walk into, and this was my 3rd visit, so I can honestly say the consistency is real. The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and has that homey, neighborhood-favorite vibe where you can actually relax and enjoy your meal. A huge part of what made this visit so great was our server, Alicia. She was genuinely warm, friendly, and attentive without hovering, and she has that rare kind of service that makes you feel welcomed like a regular even if it’s your first time. You can tell she takes pride in what she does, and it absolutely elevates the whole experience. Now the food: the coney dog was off the charts. Hot, flavorful, and made exactly the way it should be. The menu is packed with great choices, and the combo options make ordering easy. Parking is simple, service is fast and kind, and everything just runs smoothly here. We’ll definitely be back, and if you get Alicia, you’re in great hands. We stopped in to Bray’s Burgers in Flat Rock on a Wednesday evening for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. If you dine in, they offer friendly table service, and for carry-out, you can order right at the counter. Everything inside is clean, bright, and freshly updated, which makes for a really nice atmosphere. I ordered the 50s Burger and was very impressed—the bun was the perfect size for the patty, which was cooked with those amazing crunchy edges that make a burger unforgettable. The toppings were fresh, and their sauce tied it all together perfectly. You really can’t beat the value here. Service was friendly and efficient, and I noticed they also serve breakfast—I’ll definitely be back to try that next time.

Grew up in Westland and lived off of these burgers as a kid. Man was this a blast from the past. These burgers still hit the spot. They are very flavorful and reasonably priced. The staff was super nice and helpful. The establishment itself was very clean clear and organized. I highly recommend if you are in the area to check this place out. So good!

What a joke...we went in for dinner and sat down. Tables were dirty and some completely messy with food and trash still on the tables. One waitress gave us a memu after a few minutes and said I'll be right with you. We then sat there for about 10 more minutes only for another waitress to walk by and say I'll be right with you. We then watched as both waitresses attended to customers at the counter all of which walked in after us. This place is stupid noisy inside, one of the worst I've been in. We paid for our pops as we walked out 20 minutes later and the heavy set waitress made a snide remark and rolled her eyes at us. This place is pathetic, the workers are unprofessional and we wont be back.

Absolutely horrible, nothing is the same as you see on some of the pictures on Google. Gave me a burger that looked absolutely horrendous that I most definitely didn't eat. Fries threw in the bag unfriendly cashier, watered down milkshake, and the burger was a despicable mess. I asked for a burger that was on their page on Google and cashier called cook out to see what burger I was referring to when I showed him the picture. He looked at it and told me confidently the type of burger I should order and said I can do that for you. I should've took that as a red flag like why wouldn't you be able to do it this is on your page. However I can assure you the burger I received was nothing like I showed him and it was complete catastrophic mess. I will never be back to this nasty restaurant ever again in my life.

Alysha was our server and she was wonderful. First time eating here and we were not disappointed. Very clean dining room and the bathroom is very clean as well. The entire staff was very friendly. The prices are very reasonable. Left full and satisfied. We will be back for sure

Really enjoyed our classic smash burgers and onion rings. The servings are large. I only ate 1/2 my burger, which are 2 burgers smashed. The place is clean and friendly. We will go again.

I took the family here for the first time this week. In my opinion, this is an overpriced burger joint to which I will most likely never come back. These are 1/3 pound smash burgers. Three burgers, two orders of onion rings, an order of fries and three drinks was over $50. My daughter had the Gojo burger which I would equate to their version of a Big Mac. While she liked it, she said that she'd prefer a Big Mac. Me too! It's half the price. Again, the food was very good, but the sticker shock still lingers. As for service, it was fine. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. They do have the annoying kiosk that they flip which asks for a tip. As for the restaurant, it is in an old Pizza Hut that has been redecorated. It is clean and bright. If they drop their prices about 30%, I would go back. But for what they are charging, there are much better places to dine.

The smash burgers here are phenomenal and the vibe is pretty cool as well , I've also had the Nashville hot chicken which is tender and flavorful .....try them out when you can you won't be disappointed

Ordered beef paties, bacon and cheese today for lunch. Bo bun. No sauce. Very impressed with the beef patties that had nice seasoning. Bacon was good. Just right. Would order again when in the area. Fast, pleasant service too.

Tried this place tonight on a whim. Loaded fries, burgers, and milkshakes were fresh, flavorful, and all around excellent. This will definitely become a go-to!!

These are the best hamburgers around! They also have fantastic chicken sandwiches, as well! The sauce is delicious. The loaded fries and pretzel bites are yummy! Try a milk shake for dessert Yum!

Stopped on the way home because I didn't feel like cooking. I got the Gojo burger, Cali Chick sandwich, order of fries, kids chicken tenders meal with ranch and a pretzel bites with queso. The burger was very good but could have used a bit more Gojo sauce, Cali Chick was good. Kids tenders were good and the ranch was delicious. They did not give us any queso for the pretzel bites and the bites themselves could have been cooked a little more. Overall the food was good and I would try them again and recommend others to give them a try, but I will go through the bag to make sure all items are there. They were not busy when I went, so I did mark my score down one star for the missing queso.

First time visiting, both tried the OG chick combos with fries. The food was absolutely delicious, and shout out to Gina for being so welcoming and nice! We'll definitely be back!

Gojo's Grubhouse was a delicious little spot in Flat Rock serving up delicious chicken sandwiches, smashburgers, fries, & shakes. The burgers are so good, with the right amount of crunch on the outside of the patty. There is a handful of variations to decorate your burger, but the zip was the winner. I can't wait to go back and try the chicken sandwich, I heard it is one of the best in Michigan! I started pretzel bites and cauliflower wings, and finished with a strawberry shake. Everything was cooked to perfection. You have the option to dine in, I ordered take out. It came up promptly and was served with a smile. We will definitely be back to Gojo's Grubhouse!

My husband and I had our sites on GoJo's as the first place to order after moving into this town. We called in our order and we drove to pick it up. It was ready and the staff was very friendly. The burger was delicious. Good beef taste, and the fries were fresh and crispy. Very good would recommend thank you to all the staff working.

Oh man!!! Been wanting to try this place for quite some time. Not sure why I waiting so long. My zip smash burger was outstanding! The best smash burger I have ever had. I would have taken a pic but I started eating and the juices were rolling down my hand. This burger is that good. And great fries too. I had the Cajun fries and they are fresh cut fries done correctly - not an afterthought here. Cannot wait to go back.

We had a couple of Zip burgers with Cajun fries and rings. Our guest had the grilled cheese. Everything was delicious and the staff were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely go again

I ordered the zip burger wrapped in lettuce, easy 9.5/10. A bun would have probably put it at a 10. But it was VERY tasty and juicy. The Gojo sauce on it was very savory. Also, I ordered their chicken Cobb salad. The mix of chicken, bacon, egg, and the veggies was delightful and filing. Would order both again, and recommend ordering from restaurant to others. My 1 star ding, would be that I went in at 10:30 (opens at 10) and the restaurant was FREEZING, probably 50 degrees inside while I waited for my food. AND I don't know if their ventilation hoods were on in the kitchen because everything I was wearing smelled like it had been dipped in a fryer, when I left. I would not sit down and dine for these reasons unfortunately.

Stopped by for a late lunch, We were definitely impressed! Was so good! We got 2 burgers and this amazing cauliflower! Staff was super friendly and quick service! The burgers seasoned perfectly and fresh and hot! The sauce on the burgers are very tasty! Grilled onions on my zip burger was also cooked to perfection! Must try this place!! You will not be sorry!! We will definitely be coming again soon!

We did an online delivery order. I had the Classic Smash Burger and added bacon, my guy had the Zip Smash burger and Heat Smash burger. The burgers arrived fresh and hot! They were cooked right--not over cooked and dry- and they were delicious! My guy thought the Zip Smash burger was just a little salty (maybe the sauce) but that was his only complaint. Overall a good dine! Our next order will be dine-in, I really want to try their chicken sandwich. I hate I did not snap a pic because they looked great too! Will do so next time.

Loved this spot! Great burger, shake, and sides. Cali burger was delicious (double burger patty is standard here) and it was an avocado spread vs avocado slices which was nice so it held together better. Honestly would come back just for the pretzel bites alone! Shakes are made using Calder dairy ice-cream - fun that they support other local owners! I enjoyed that the atmosphere inside was clean and service was fast. I think it is a bit pricey but without cost of a server it balances out. Highly recommend trying on your next night out, carry out options available as well.

The burgers there are really good, same with the fries. It takes about 15 minutes for a take out order. Seemed a little pricey but everything now adays is, the portions are pretty big, I can never eat the whole burger, hubby can barely and he can eat!! I wish they had a smaller burger with all the fixings as their normal burgers, but I make it work. lol The restaurant itself looks nice and clean, so if I have the chance to eat in, I would not hesitate.

THE GRUB was DELICIOUS!!!! Amazing chicken sandwich, crisp fresh salad with tender chicken, and the loaded fries are addictive. Love the cheese sauce! The cauliflower bites are a must try - something special and I loved the spice. I can't wait to order again. My friend had the Zip Burger and said it was the best she ever had. Amazing find in flat rock and so glad it's here! Food with flavor that is fresh and great quality. The service is great everyone was positive, smiling and helpful. Great safe atmosphere very clean, spaced out and a good vibe.

Probably the best burger I have had this year. I had the zip burger. It was awesome. My friend had a chicken sandwich and said it was nice and crispy. Will return.

We are so happy to have a great burger joint in town. The best burger is the zip burger, if you haven't tried it already, you should order it right now! The veggie burger is great too. The service is pretty good, but sometimes our orders are messed up, nothing that would stop us from going again. I don't know about the ambiance because we only get carry out!

Everything here is delicious and every person who works there that we have interacted with has been nice. You can't go wrong no matter what you pick. Some of our faves are both kinds of loaded fries, the BBQ burger, OG chicken, Nashville hot chicken, Veggie sandwiches, chicken tenders and the crispy chicken salad or the one with ground beef. Food is great and fast every time. Great job GoJos.

It was a nice hot day. Decided to try this place and cool down. It was almost hotter inside than outside. I wonder if they have AC. The food was expensive. $10 for a burger without fries. They also have those annoying screens where they turn it towards you for a tip. The portions were okay but not great. The best thing was the flavor. I probably won't be coming often but because of the flavor I might return sometime, once I have the money.

Literally go to GOJO'S once a week, this place is so underrated. From the burgers, chicken sandwiches, loaded fries, cauliflower bites... it's just all so good. My top fave is the bbq burger for sure. Make sure to get a milkshake too

Hot n New Gojo's Grubhouse on Telegraph in Flatrock the old Pizza Hut. Small menu Big Flavor they also own Zorbas just up the street. Large dining room for social distance everything brand new. Winner the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich OMG yes I made it a Double outstanding one of the best around town. A Triple Zip Sauce Cheeseburger Wowed unique and Delightful Delicious. Loose Burger topped Fries so different hey it works. Chicken Strips and Cauliflower bites dissatisfied won't order again. The service was great, but the food was lacking in flavor and proper cooking technique. I originally ordered their signature burger with and some loaded fries. The fries were good, but not memorable. The burger was edible and was cooked nicely. The flavor of the burger was off putting slightly and the patties were unseasoned. Tonight I decided to give them another chance and take my wife and child there. Again, the service was polite. Now we get to the food. I ordered a simple a burger, my wife had a chicken sandwich. My burger was the same result as before. Just some simple salt and pepper. The sides were pretty good, but not memorable. My wife's chicken sandwich?!?!?!?! Oh my?! What did the poor chicken do so wrong as to be mistreated in such a way??? Seasoning- pretty good. Reminded me of KFC. Maybe it was the inspiration. The most disturbing part was the completely improper cook on the chicken. Way over cooked and dry.

This place is absolutely fantastic! I've now had carry-out and dined in and both were excellent. Had to original burger and it tasted like everything a Big Mac wants to be, but can't manage. Cajun fries are crispy, fresh, and flavorful. Onion rings are huge, a tiny bit sweet, and cooked to perfection. I went wild today and got a Nashville hot chicken sandwich too, which was not quite as great as the burger, but was still quite tasty! Location was cool in an old Pizza Hut that found new life and in a growing corner of a great intersection. Could use a little more signage on the building as it's drably painted outside.

Refund the order if it was raw in the center! Follow up on a complaint. Make it right! They don't care I guess. I sent the messages privately with no response. Will not eat there again!

I'm a sucker for a great burger. Gojo's has an absolute killer smash burger. Super flavorful, great price, and the perfect amount of toppings. You know you found a gem when you can't wait to try every burger on the menu. I will be back every time I'm in the area!

The food is amazing! Freshly ground beef made in house and all the fresh ingredients is what sets this place at a different level then all your other burger joints! Gojo's chopped salad, ughh so amazing! pretzel bites and loaded fries, seriously it's all to die for! If you haven't tried it, you better! You'll be coming back for more! The service was amazing! A great spot for grub. Their smash burgers are clearly a good quality meat, with excellent cheese, and their fries are spot on. They clearly aren't cutting any corners with quality, from their meat, cheese, and even their cajun fry seasoning. Even spoke with the owner and he has even bigger plans for the restaurant, which is super exciting. Definitely check out Gojo's!!

My son was here for leave from the Marines and saw Flat Rock had a new burger place. He said he wanted a good burger! I've never been here before so I thought I would try it with him. Mm! The smash burgers were still hot by the time we got home and so was the french fries. We will definitely be coming back!!

The only thing I could say about that Zip burger is holy sh** !!!! Best Burger I have tried! The zip sauce explodes in your mouth with the crispy smoky bacon! Wow!!!! Must try and I really loved the cheese sauce on the loaded fries! So yum! Cant wait to try more! Super Friendly staff also!

So nice to see this place opened up finally. We have tried several of their menu items and everything was great. The chicken sandwich was phenomenal with the coleslaw and Tojo sauce. Smash burgers are ground fresh daily and offered with several great toppings. They are still tweaking things to make everything even better. Definitely worth trying this new place out.

By far the best burger I have had. I have eaten burgers in many places and states. They have managed to cook the smashed burgers and maintain keeping it juicy.This is my top pick for burgers.

I heard that GoJos had some new menu items and wanted to give it a try. I was not disappointed. The Cali Burger is to die for. A perfectly cooked burger with avocado and all the trimmings. By far the best burger in town. The Zip and Gojo burgers are A++++ also. The food came out quick and the people were super friendly. I can't wait to go back.

This place is so good! I cant wait to go back and try more. I had the loaded fries and i loved the cheese sauce. The zip burger was my favorite because it was like such a amazing burst of flavor with the zip sauce and bacon combo. The strawberry milkshake was the perfect way to end the meal. Cannot wait to eat more here. The staff was all nice and the place is super clean brand new!
