"The tempo in the kitchen is lively as cooks deep-fry these imaginative skewers. Order the omakase, which only ends when your belly is full. An amazing 25 types of skewers are normally available—you’ll want to see them all. Korean kimchi, Indian curry, Italian tomato sauce and so on take you on a journey from country to country. A fusion of Osaka’s fried foods with traditional cuisines of the world." - Michelin Inspector

One memorable experience where good cuisine meets great service and atmosphere. Though I could not speak Japanese, they managed to get a seat for me even though it appeared fully booked, and arranged for my meal to go as smoothly as possible. The kushiages were amazing. The menu, omakase style, changes every season, I only wish I could have experienced all four seasons. It's definitely top on my list.

One of the best culinary experiences I’ve had in my life. The bites are all freshly prepared and they serve them with 2 different sauces and salt. Some get a different sauce all together, some are meant to be eaten without sauce, you get instructed by the chefs as to what sauce to use and you can really see and taste that they put thought in every single one of them! As a side you can order some pickled vegetables or salads which add a nice balance to the fried bites and really round off the experience. Service was incredibly good and kind! The prices are also very fair and affordable! Overall I can only recommend coming here and just sipping a beer (or wine) and enjoying the variety of fried bites they prepare for you!

A unique culinary experience. Delicious and one of a kind. You don't order specific skewers. They bring you unique skewers until you ask them to stop or until you get 25 skewers. I love surprises, and this experience definitely surprised and delighted.

Incredible craftsmanship and brilliant kushikatsu. Dined solo and only speak English, yet I felt very welcomed and taken care of. The chef was kind enough to use his phone to translate every dish. Each piece came out delicious, light, crispy, and not oily at all. The kabocha and peanut was killer. So was the bacon skewer with chestnut shavings. The red wine available was also delicious and from the Rhone region. It was so amazing to watch the team, A well oiled machine. Chef was charming the customers while effortlessly getting the next round of skewers ready, while simultaneously translating on his phone. The entire crew was so kind. I was very lucky to dine here (hint to non Japanese speakers, I called my hotel to book this reservation for me)

The ultimate eating experience! Gojoya Osaka, a true gem! I didn’t book but still allowed me to indulge in the course with 25 dishes, truly amazing! 😻 Chef also provided me a translation for each dish 💕 どうもありがとう

Small intimate space. Great service. There was a very drunk and rowdy table seated right behind me and the server was attentive and noticed and offered to move me. He also gave us a free side order of my choosing. Very interesting omakase kushikatsu. The chefs will explain everything from how to eat it and what sauce to dip it in.
