Gökyüzü Walthamstow

A lovely Turkish restaurant, really welcoming and accommodating for large group party. We had a lovely meal. Complimentary Turkish tea. Lovely share platters suitable for Vegan too.

Our charity visited to have our favourite Corba, soup which comes with bread, olives and salad, it was delicious. Hopefully the price will stay under £10 so that people on a budget can still keep coming to enjoy their delicious soup. Fantastic customer service and very fast preparation of food. Always clean and professional. The complimentary Turkish tea a Turkish tradition was also tasty. Thank you :)

We eat yesterday here. Very tasty breakfast full plater. I try the Mediterranean £17.5 The make full for a day. Nice atmosphere a d romantic place. Lovely😍

The restaurant was very busy because the upstairs dining area was closed that night. This resulted in longer waits for tables and for food. However the waiters were friendly and accommodating. We got a full platter for 3-4 people (obviously eats are bigger than our belly)! This is well equipped to fill the hungry. It was packed with different meats, rice and we got multiple baskets of bread with dips.

I just love this place.....The food is superb and the staff are very friendly, kind and professional. I went for lunch today, and was given a complimentary bread, salad and dip. Also have enough of the main course to take home.

Excellent for group parties. Children friendly. Delicious food, whether it's the starter or mains. Their kunafeh is just the best. Tried a couple of their locations and it's a hit every time.

Gokyuzu offers an impressive dining experience marked by stellar customer service and pristine cleanliness. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring a pleasant visit from start to finish. The restaurant itself was spotless, reflecting a high standard of hygiene. While the food was average, it was well-prepared and presented. The pricing is indeed steep, but given its prime location in London, it’s understandable. Overall, Gokyuzu is worth a visit if you value excellent service and a clean environment, despite the higher costs.

I'm really disappointed that I didn't enjoy the food here. Usually the food is pretty good but for the price point it was not very great. We ordered 2 different mezze for starters, which was the only thing that was delicious. The samosa filled with cheese was yummy and the small platter with hummus and other varieties. The wings platter was horrid it was overcooked on the outside, making it hard and pink on the inside. The pide was okay, but they usually make it nicer. We ordered 2 starters, wings with rice, Pide chips for the kids and some drinks with 2 desserts and our bill was £150! absolutely extortionate, considering we didn't order much food. The cheesecake was horrid, tasted like fridge and old but the rice pudding was tasty. The only thing that was nice was the ambience and vibe. The customer service was great as the staff were very friendly. I do prefer the Walthamstow branch as I find the food a lot tastier + better than this one, which is on the A406.
